You are restricting people perceptions to the physical world.
The astral is the direct perception and interpretation of reality on a level that has broader perceptual potential that our everyday lives.

What we perceive as reality is an interpretation, and more to the point the creation, of our perception from a given level of conscious perceptual focus. (ie. you, with every other sentient/semisentient being create the perceived physical reality by way of consentual(sp?) interpretation of the underlying existence)

Hi Alkrein,

Welcome to the Astral Pulse forums! [:)] Your experience is subjective so it would be difficult for me to say exactly what you were experiencing. With situations like these, I recommend that people read all they can on OBE, AP and lucid dreaming. Then, you begin to sort these things out as you compare your personal experiences to what you've read.

There are good books on OBE and AP, such as Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce, and The Projection of the Astral Body by Sylvan Muldoon & Hereward Carrington. There are also great books by Robert Monroe, William Buhlman, Robert Peterson, and Scott Rogo to name but a few.

Also, try reading over some of the "sticky" topics here at the Astral Pulse. They are located at the top of the page of almost all the forums. They were made "sticky" because we felt that there was information that could be useful over and over.

We also have a File Library and a Search engine that you may want to explore.

Very best,
Nick
