Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Problem OBE'ing

also, it it just me or is it that I can't seem to seperate my physical body from my astral body, like I can't shift consciousness from one to another completely. Whenever I am not moving, obviously if my upper body sits up, if I am not controlling it by muscles, it is my astral body, but it seems to bring my physical body with it. Like when I picture inviscible hands pulling my legs, my legs raise, but when I try to pull my entire body out my upper body (chest/head/shoulders) sits up (not sliding out) and my legs go down, it is pretty frustrating. Does anyone have any helpful tips to get vibrations throughout your entire body.

I'm no expert but here are my thoughts.

For a start, the choking feeling you experienced has been described by Robert Bruce as one of the symptoms of your throat chakra being activated, if memory serves.  It definitely means something along those lines anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I also don't believe that physical mass has anything to do with it.  You only have to relax your body completely, and then it's out of the equation.  Anything after that concerns your subtle bodies, which have no mass.

The feeling of the cover rising on your bed is probably attributable to the fact that you were slowly reflecting your consciousness into the first subtle body within you, giving the illusion of shrinking.  It's not difficult to see how this could be perceived as the covers on your bed moving away from you (rising).

Hi Modernboy,

Welcome to the Astral Pulse forums! [:)] Sounds as if you have had some interesting experiences. You'll want to compare them with others here I'm sure. So when you get a chance, take a look at some of our previous posts. You may want to read over some of the threads in the Welcome to Permanent Astral Topics forum. Also, take a look at our File Library and be sure to take advantage of our search engine as well.

Again welcome, and looking forward to your posts.
