Hi,

Well, first of all I was not sure where to put this thread, I hope it's fine here..

Alright, I have been reading really much about all this "stuff" (OBE, Ouija-boards , pendulum, -> having contact with ghosts etc.). I tried having an OBE for a pretty long time, but I never made it.. (But I was close I guess - Had an OBE Dream, one morning I had vibrations, ... ) . But anyways, after I read about all this (ghosts, paranormal things, astral travelling)it has become the most interesting thing there is for me.. And I really want to have at least one paranormal encouter in my life.. I read about people saying they see strange creatures standing around their bed at night, people seeing ghosts and so on .. Its probably really scary, but I want it :)

So, I read about Ouija-Boards .. That seems to be an easy and fast way.. Can you do it alone? Is there anything better/easier/faster (to contact ghosts) ?
It would be awesome if somebody helped me to have my first paranormal encounter :D

Thanks

Hi guys

Well... I have been trying to OBE for a long time now and I never did it, unfortunately :(

Few days ago I read about a very simple technique that worked for some people.. Well, at least I thought it was simple:

When you are relaxed and somewhat tired in bed, start breathing deep and count your breaths .. So you concentrate on your breaths.
I tried this..

I was pretty tired .. So I went to bed and started counting my breaths. And when I was at 10 (ten!) , this happened to me:
Some thought just popped into my head, I also heard voices .. This stuff happens pretty often to me when I go to bed.. So, That thought just popped into my head.. It lasted for like 1-2 seconds. After that I just thought "wow.." and forgot where I was.. After like 5 seconds of thinking I remembered: I was at 10.

So I continued counting and this stuff happened to me more and more times.. This was actually pretty cool
And, well, thats all I can remember.. Must have fallen asleep while counting, or just stopped counting and fell asleep.. I dont know :(

now, what does this mean? Is this a good sign or something? Can it help me having an OBE in some way? Or is it just "nothing" ?

Oh, and if somebody has a technique thats not too hard to do (I absolutely cant completely "clean" my head of all thoughts and visualize or concentrate on something.. So this would be hard for me ;) ).. I'm always open for new (easy) techniques :)

thanks

That is very interesting!

I had a experience where I went to visit my friend and her husband in their brand new house.  Freaked me out when I walked in..I had totally been there before.  I knew the layout before I was shown.  It certaintly felt like deja-vu, but I couldn't tell you from a dream or what. I just knew that house before ever seeing it.

Sounds like you did dream about it..very cool indeed.[:D]

Wow, that was confusing!

Sounds like a whole load of dream layers or levels to me, with a false awakening at the end (where you think you've woken up only to find you are in another dream).  Shame you didn't have more chance to explore the lucid dream.

I have dreams where I fall asleep in the dream, and then I dream I've had an OBE in the middle of the dream, then I "woke up" from the OBE, back into the dream where I was sleeping.  My brain hurt after that one! [;)]

First off, please describe what you understand as being visualization? That's a trick question but without the contrast of your own thining it's difficult to explain what it is.

Two quotes that illustrate your problem and the answer to visualization:

quote:
I try to move all my concentration

quote:
and there is always that thought saying: 'I have to forget my body

When you "try" and when you "have to" is where things get derailed.
I'll wait for the reply to my question before saying anything more.

Hi MaDrox,

try and be a bit more patient. Most people don't get immediate success.

Give it a few month's more practice, whilst reading all available literature on various OBE techniques, and I'm sure you'll start to get somewhere !
