Hi all.  i've been reading a LOT about orgone and Wilhelm Reich recently and i want to try some of these devices, whether making one myself or purchasing one with an electric current.  However, what i'd like to get a consensus of is DO THESE THINGS RELIABLY WORK?

What are your personal experiences with orgone and the benefits or effects it provided?  All answers are welcome! :)

i for one believe in them, but not the hollywood tripe, not even Bram Stoker.  I also believe there are several different kinds of vampires, including people who drink blood, and then there are energy vampires, who are still living and sometimes not aware of what they do.

But i want to talk about the classic vampires, you know, fangs, bats, Transylvania, etc.  I've found two really good books on the subject that i found interesting: Vampires: The Occult Truth and Monsters.

http://www.amazon.com/Vampires-Occult-Truth-Llewellyn-Series/dp/1567183808/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1354907363&sr=8-3&keywords=truth+about+vampires

and

http://www.amazon.com/Monsters-Investigators-Beings%C2%A0%C2%A0-MONSTERS-Paperback/dp/B008N3HT96/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1354907473&sr=1-2&keywords=monsters+an+investigators+guide

The latter book speculates that the oldest vampires stretch back to the Egyptian dynasty in the form of pharaohs who wanted to live beyond physical death, mostly so they could continue the work for their noble cause as acting as an intermediary with the gods.  To do this, they had to create a very special shrine (a tomb) and prepare the body a very special way (mummification). Eventually though this degraded into pure greed for power.

To quote:

Central to vampirism is the point that the vampire was once a living human being and only entered the vampiric state after passing through the process of physical death. To grasp the deeper historical roots of vampirism, it's necessary to take a different approach. Such an exploration must necessarily be speculative in places, since the origins of the vampire tradition date back to eras well before written history; still, there are signposts on the way, ranging from certain odd details of history and archeology to occult lore concerning death.

Our search will begin in neither of these places, though. Rather, we will start in the country that is now called Egypt but was once known as Khem, the Black Land, the gift of the Nile. When we think of ancient Egypt nowadays, nearly all of what comes to mind relates to the Egyptian obsession with the secrets of the afterlife. Few societies in all of history have been so intently focused on the mastery of death and the attainment of immortality. The largest single body of surviving ancient Egyptian literature consists of handbooks to help the dead escape the dangers of the Duat— the underworld where the sun went at night— and achieve eternal life. The Pert em Hru or Book of Coming Forth By Day, better known nowadays as the Egyptian Book of the Dead, is the oldest and most famous of these handbooks, but there were many others.

Central to this lore was a set of teachings about the different souls, or spiritual aspects, of each human being. The two most important souls in Egyptian thought were the ba and the ka, which correspond almost exactly to the modern magical concept of the astral and etheric bodies, respectively. The ba, according to Egyptian lore, was not bound to the physical body and could travel to distant places— its emblem in Egyptian art was a human-headed bird, representing its powers of astral flight— while the ka was linked to the physical body; it could travel for short distances away from it but had to return regularly and could not survive if the physical body decayed or was destroyed.

To maintain life after physical death, Egyptian teachings held that the critical point was to preserve the ka in working order. This required, first of all, the permanent preservation of the physical body— a requirement that led to the development of ever more complex technologies of mummification; second, magical processes to "open the mouth" of the ka and enable it to take in nourishment; and third, regular offerings made to the ka so that it would not wither away from starvation. In the language of modern magic, food and drink were used to provide the ka with a steady source of etheric energy so that it would be able to maintain its existence and avoid the second death (the process through which the human soul sheds its etheric body after death and goes on into the afterlife). The tomb of every Egyptian who could afford mummification thus had a ka temple connected to it, and each of these temples had at least one ka priest, whose job it was to feed the ka of the dead with sacrifices every day.

If the ka no longer received these offerings, it faced a peculiarly unpleasant fate. As chapters 52 and 53 of the Pert em Hru make clear, a ka who did not receive offerings had to venture out of its tomb at night to find what nourishment it could— and that normally added up to excrement and urine, two readily available sources of low-grade etheric energy. These starving ka wandered at night, naked or clad in their funeral clothes, and the pale light they gave off led them to be called khu, "luminous ones." Not all khu restricted themselves to filth; some invaded the houses of the living, causing physical or mental illness. There is even a passage in the Pert em Hru that seems to indicate that khu could attack the living directly and drink their blood. Once the system was well established, therefore, it was very hard to stop safely. The cost of sacrifices and the upkeep of ka priests became an economic burden large enough to play a major role in the collapse of several Egyptian dynasties, but the system continued solidly in place until Egypt fell under Persian rule in the sixth century before the common era, and even then lingered on in places until the coming of Christianity.

i don't have an answer to this, i'm just trying to get it straight in a way that makes sense to me.  Satan/Lucifer did not exist before Christianity took the Pan symbolism and gave it a name, but Evil has always been here in some form or another. Take the Temple of Set in California, is this just a modern form of devil worship with a different name? Was Set inherently a negative entity of great power?

What about worship to Moloch in the Bohemian Grove?  Again, just Satan worship under a different guise?

Welcome to Magic! / Is the Occult Evil?
December 07, 2012, 13:47:51
old question i'm sure.  The Bible would say Yes without question. Hermetic magicians would probably say No. I know that Good and Evil is pretty much a human concept, and when you get to the higher realms of Godhead this forced perspective fades.  One of course needs the other to exist.

But how much are we MEANT to know of the spiritual world while on the earthly plane?

I believe that we as humans are made in God's image, we ARE gods and have forgotten that. Is it not our birthright then to have God's knowledge of the universe? Knowledge is power, and perhaps the mysteries were wisely kept a secret from the masses who would abuse the knowledge if they had it.

But are not occult rituals abused now by secret societies in control of the world and seeking world domination? Did they GET to that level of domination because of the occult, or were their evil persona's and drive for power the cause?  Or are there spiritual forces at work behind that scenes that want the whole planet for themselves?

I'm more of the opinion that occult magic is a tool, and how one uses that tool defines if it is good or bad. To know one's enemy, you must know the weapons with which he fights.  I feel that dumping everything "occult" into a bag and saying "That's Evil, don't do it, don't look at, it's demonic" is just closing your eyes to knowledge.

On the other hand, does delving into the occult world eventually lead to corruption no matter what?  The Illuminati and the gods they worship would certainly seem to indicate that.

This is a topic i'm trying to learn more about. Is it true that God Consciousness starts at the smallest conceivable level and slowly ascends through the mineral, plant, animal, human, spiritual world, and then to who knows where?

Can people after they die choose to return as an animal? I heard that this was done sometimes in the cases of dolphins and whales when a soul wanted a break from human incarnation. Can it happen with any animal though? Do animals reincarnate in a similar way as humans?

I've heard conflicting information on this topic and wanted to put it out on the table for more knowledgable persons to help answer it.

Welcome to News and Media! / Earthquake Machine
January 03, 2005, 12:02:57
I pulled this out of the Tsunami thread as it has a decidedly different slant. I'm not quite sure what to make of the idea of a secret earthquake machine in Australia, although it's not out of the question. Hell, anything's possible.  Anyone care to elaborate more?

Quote from: Tayesin
Hi All,
These events were terrible for the loss of life they created. And it is significant that few animals may have died from them.

When I lived in New Zealand, my cats would behave strangely prior to an earthquake happening there, which they do very regularly. First thing I noticed was the cats leap off the bed and run into the lounge where they would stand with tails up, ready to spring into action if needed while they stared at the ground.

It only took one big shaker for me to realize that the cats were my early warning system ! After that I always made a point of watching them when they became agitated, and i am sure that it was a comfort to know we had some form of warning before hearing the booming coming up from the ground prior to the earth's shaking and rolling.

Something else I wanted to mention here.... in Australia there is a US base out in the desert that is well known here because all Australians including our Prime Minister are not allowed anywhere near there ! Strange how the US military can assume rights over the land of another country, but that is very normal for them.

While the activities at this base are highly secretive, which makes me think they are up to something foul, as is also usually the case with the US in other countries, there are reports from people who have had some experience with the base and it's workings.

One such is a man I know from the research group here I am president of. He had the fortune to be taken there in OBE by another race external to our world, and asked to put everything he was shown on the Internet for all to see, which he did do.. unfortunately, the day after he did so it was removed and a notice was placed there that read, "For further information please contact the Pentagon at US Gov. !!!! What the ?

Now we all know that the US doesn't mind sensitive info being thrown about on the Web because the web is also full of much disinformation, and so it is hard for most people to discern the difference between facts and disinformation.

To the stuff this man was shown..... (some of this has been proven now by government contractors) At this facility, there is a massive arm-like structure that is embedded deep into the Earth that uses more water and electricity than the most populated city in Australia. At the end of this arm is a directable nozzle that can be pointed at any surface area on this planet.

Apparently, this device works on principles devised by Tesla (which you can read up on the web) and is used to direct high powered but low frequency bursts to particular surface areas that will disrupt the plate boundaries and fault lines in the target area.

Now, I know this sounds like science fiction to most people. But, let's go back to the Kobe (Japan) earthquake that was so devastating at the time. In the very next prefecture there was a world class meeting of Earthquake researchers that were in Japan under the auspices of the US government at the exact time the Quake hit Kobe, but was only kept in that one region.. which is very un-natural to say the least. It is now known in Australia that the Facility in the desert was highly active at that exact time, and it is show to be true in the water usage and electricity usage charts that are somehow now no longer available to we mere citizens.

So what I am trying to say is this..... it is well known that the controlling orders/groups on this planet need to reduce populations by considerable amounts, and to do so in such a way for it to appear as a natural event, ie, famine, disasters, new diseases and warfare of all types. Many times natural devices can be used to affect the needed results, and so I tend to think that this is one possibility for what we have just seen overseas.

But, I do hope I am very wrong about it.

Welcome to Magic! / Summary of Magical "Schools"
December 02, 2004, 08:26:03
Hi All. I'm trying to put together a generalized list of the types of magical practice available to man in our day and age. It can and should include everything, from Hermetics to backyard witchcraft. Left path, Right path, i just want to get a good overall picture of the options and definitions of magical study, no matter the origin. I'm sure different people would have different opinions on what qualifies, so any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So i've been keeping a dream journal when i can, meaning when i remember a dream i TRY to get up and jot down the quickly fading memories. My question is: do people's dreams who do this often and successfully, and who OBE and LD, do your dreams have reoccuring themes that you pick up on? My dreams are usually short, disconnected clips that make little sense. Do you find your Higher Selves provide symbolic links through your dream-self? My own understanding of dreams is still pretty minimal. Thank God for places like this where it can be discussed.

Here is where you can share some of your less than successful castings. Either the end result was not achieved, it happened differently than expected, or the magic backlashed. Maybe something bad happened to you as a result of misusing magic, or you contacted something a little hostile to poor little humans. Let us hear!! This will hopefully open some new ground for discussion and understanding of the magical mechanics.

I posted this elsewhere, but the topic has more relevance here. These beings have been called all sorts of stuff over the ages. Some are beneficial to humans, some aren't. Some like us, some don't. I think that only competent magicians or lucky sorcerers are able to evoke and bind them to the material plane, but do they take a physical form, dropping their vibration enough to become tangible? Do they have a consistent form, or are they mutable? Do they take on aspects that the summoner wishes to see, or aspects that magicians over thousands of years have shared and verified. This is just a topic i am curious about, although i'm sure someone will tell me to just summon one myself and find out!

Bardon gives excellent lessons to conjure and question the 72 spirits of the zodiac. In Evocation, he refrains from many details regarding certain spheres, stating that the beings within are unruly and not favorable toward humans. I even read speculation that the names he DOES provide are in code, as to thwart unready initiates from summoning beings that would harm them. Whether positive or negative aligned, or simply neutral in the grand scheme of the universe, what do these beings LOOK like, in terms of either astralsight or normal vision? I suppose this is a rather weighty question directed at those practitioners who've actually summoned these things to work with them.

Welcome to Magic! / Alchemy Magic
August 19, 2004, 11:44:05
I concocted my first potion this morning, during the first rays of dawn on Thursday, the first planetary hour of Lemon Balm, also known as Melissa. It's a pretty simple procedure, it will take a week or so to settle and let the components leech from the plant, then i'll recombine them.

On a whim, i also bought some myrhh (sp?) from the herbal store. Does anyone know the magical effects of using the magical alchemical aspects of this herb? I've found info on the magical aromatherapy, but i don't think that's quite the same as crafting a potion from it, although probably similar.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / The Creation of Man
June 15, 2004, 10:11:32
Some say it dates back as far as the Summerians, many thousands of years before modern religions.  Their texts teach of creation stories and visitors that blended DNA to create workers with free thought and will and intelligence, and species as well. Can anyone (Tayesin perhaps) elaborate on this? I have specific questions as to how the Neanderthals and dinosaurs fit into the equation. Are the Seven Sisters the home of the Annunaki?

Hello narfellus,

I have not endeavored to try this technique before but it sounds interesting.
I hope the below information has some use!

WHAT IS EFT (EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUES)?

The Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a group of powerful processes that can help just about anyone to achieve genuine freedom from the emotions that have created problems in their lives. These techniques have been described by some as one of the most important breakthroughs in the area of psychology in this century. They have been used successfully with thousands of people with a broad range of difficulties.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is becoming known to many amazed users as a modern miracle. It can dramatically relieve emotional disturbances along with many physical symptoms. It often works in minutes, its results are usually long lasting, and side effects are almost always positive.

EFT is versatile and has been used confidently by hundreds of therapists on thousands of clients with successes on even the most difficult problems, by relieving imbalances in their clients' energy systems. Phillip and Jane Mountrose have been using it personally and with clients and class participants for over 5 years, with consistent success.

THE ENERGY SYSTEM

Understanding how emotional healing with EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) works may require an open mind for many people. The effectiveness of EFT only makes sense if it is related to the human energy system. Fortunately, you don't have to believe any of this to receive the positive benefits of using these techniques.

In addition to having a physical body which is fueled by food, we humans also run on an intricate energy system which is fueled by electrical impulses that run through the body. This energy system holds the key to many of the disturbances we experience in our daily lives. When it is out of balance, our emotional life could be compared to a car that is in desperate need of a tune up. The result may take the form of any type of emotional disturbance including phobias, anger, depression, grief, guilt, anxiety, and a full range of fears, to name a few. There may also be physical symptoms like pain, headaches, asthma and tension that are related to the emotions. EFT provides relief from the majority of these disturbances. What is even better is that it often provides relief in minutes and the results are usually long lasting. In fact, it frequently provides relief where other techniques fail and has a high success rate, typically 80% or better.

HOW EFT WORKS
EFT is based on a revolutionary new discovery that violates most of the beliefs within conventional psychology. It contends that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. With remarkable consistency, EFT relieves symptoms by an unusual (but scientific) routine of tapping with the fingertips on a short series of points on the body that correspond to acupuncture points on the energy meridians. Where there is an imbalance, there is a corresponding blockage in the flow of energy through the meridian system.
The tapping serves to release the blockages that are created when a person thinks about or becomes involved in an emotionally disturbing circumstance. When this blockage is released, the emotions come into balance. Once balanced, the person cannot get upset about the circumstance no matter how hard they try. The memory remains but the charge is gone. Typically, the result is lasting and the person's awareness usually changes in a positive way as a natural result of the healing.

Most energetic imbalances may be partially or completely relieved within a short time using this process. Others may be relieved through repetition of the process. Some examples of energetic patterns that have been successfully cleared using EFT:

Fears related to performance like public speaking, concentration, sports, etc.
Phobias like the fear of heights, flying, enclosed spaces, driving, etc.
Emotional trauma from war experiences, physical abuse, etc.
Disturbing emotions like depression and anger.
Emotions related to addictive patterns like eating and smoking
Insomnia
Emotions related to physical conditions.

SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT EFT (EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUES)
How long do the results last? EFT is generally long lasting. Physical healings are often impressive and long lasting as well, but are more likely to re-emerge than emotional issues.
Are EFT's results due to either placebo effects or distraction? No. Placebo effects require some belief in the process and this is rarely the case for newcomers to EFT. Also, although EFT may appear to be distracting, it will not work if the client is, in fact, distracted. That is why the client continually repeats a phrase which "tunes in" to the problem.

Are there any negative side effects? By comparison to almost any other process, EFT is quite gentle and rarely has any side effects. It is often used instead of other procedures, because of its gentle nature.

How does EFT use kinesiology? Kinesiology (muscle testing) is used to determine negative belief systems one holds (sometimes unconsciously), which is called "psychological reversal."

WHY YOU MAY NOT HAVE HEARD OF EFT BEFORE

The use of this technique is relatively new and may be a part of the beginning of a complete revolution in the way we handle our emotions. In many cases, difficulties that have persisted in spite of years of work using the methods of traditional psychology may be relieved in minutes. If, not, relief is generally possible within days or weeks rather than years.

EFT was developed earlier in the 1990's by Gary Craig, whose academic training includes a Stanford Engineering Degree. While personal healing has been his passion for over 30 years, Gary is neither a licensed therapist nor a trained psychologist. Many of the concepts underlying EFT came from Gary's training in Thought Field Therapy (TFT) under the tutorship of Dr. Roger Callahan. TFT involves the use of 10 or 15 individualized tapping routines. EFT differs in that it employs only one comprehensive tapping routine which is used for all emotional and physical problems. Because of this, it is easy enough to be mastered by most people.

Jason,

We here can send you Reiki and sll sorts of other healing modalities but the source of the healing that needs to take place is in your mind.  All healing that needs to take place is really in the mind for that is what we are.  Our physical bodies are only the manifestations of what or who we tell our minds we are.  My advice would be to seek a group in your area like AA or something like that.  It is really group lay counseling and it works on the addictions.  We are all healers and it is best to get the help you need from people who have been in your shoes.  Caffeine and Alcohol are 2 opposite ends of the same spectrum... You drink caffeine to wake up then after drinking so much caffeine during the day, you need the depressent of alcohol to help you get to sleep.  it's a viscious cycle.

If you feel you would not like to join one of these groups, I would suggest working on the caffeine part first, and work on the alcohol later.  I could send you Reiki, however, it is only a tool to help you help yourself... as are all healing modalities.

Blessings to you,
Kerri

thanks kakkarot, you brought up interesting points. I just want to emphasize that huge chunks of religions were misinterpreted for reasons you just described, and the original meanings in some cases are so warped as to have little use, thus leading to centuries of confusion and mishap. Some people get so worked up over doctrine...

I will confine my remarks to the New Testament.  The church's consensus about our 26 New Testament books was achieved around 200 AD.   The main criterion was to include books attributable to an apostle, i.e. an eyewitness of the resurrected Jesus.  Prior to that, various communities were often missing some of these books.  One community included The Shepherd of Hermas, a very boring and repetitive visionary prophetic book (written around 105 AD and later revised), and another church included the Teaching of the Twelve Apostles, more commonly known by the French "Didache" (first draft around 50 AD, final form around 95 AD).  Neither book sheds new light on the life of Christ.

The Gospels made "sticky" in this section are either hoaxes or too late to be of any historical value in studying the life of Jesus.  The only exception is the Coptic Gospel of Thomas, which must not be confused with the historically worthless Infancy Gospel of Thomas.  The Coptic Gospel of Thomas consists of 114 sayings of Jesus, some of which may be new genuine sayings.  This Gospel represents the sayings tradition that circulated east of the Jordan River.  Our Gospels represent the sayings tradition that circulated west of the Jordan.  There are several early second century Gospels that have only survived in fragments.  These fragments are interesting but are generally not valued for historically reliable new information about Jesus: the Gospel of Peter; the Gospel of Hebrews; the Gospel of the Nazarenes, and the Gospel of the Ebionites (or literally "the Gospel of the Poor").   The acoount of Jesus' resurrecton appearance to his brother James in Gospel of Hebrews just might be genuine.  Perhaps if a complete manuscript of one of these Gospels were discovered, it might contain genuine Jesus tradition.  All other Gospels you might have read about are much later than these and historically worthless in studying Jesus' life.  Luke implies that there were some early first century Gospels that we no longer have and can't even name (see Luke 1:1-4).  If any of these were discovered, they would no doubt be priceless because of their connection with eyewitness testimony.  Beyond this, some second century church fathers quote about 12 seemingly authentic new sayings of Jesus from oral tradition, not from a written Gospel.

None of this sheds reliable new light on the missing years of Jesus, i.e. the years between his infancy and baptism by John.  All the extracanonical material about Mary Magdalene and her relationship with Jesus is historically worthless.

well as far as im concerned, your chakras arent even truely in your physical body. i would think that as long as your astral body isnt damaged, it shouldnt be a problem. i dont think that a small hole in your PHYSICAL body makes any differance, as we will be shedding this outer layer sometime or another

Welcome to Dreams! / HOW do Dreams Work?
June 23, 2004, 11:28:46
" It's almost like our dreaming is connecting to what is REAL, which is our spiritual selves, and when we wake we are really in the illusion of reality again, having forgotten our trip to other worlds."
"I think that when people consciously and continuously learn to OBE, they are experiencing realms and states of mind usually reserved for the dead."

Now THAT made my head hurt. I couldn't help but get this sickening notion that it is really WE who are dead and the so called spirits who are living...

Ive tried going inside the earth and saw basically the same thing that you do when going through solid objects, the material of the object. Regardless i kept going to see as far as i could and got a terrible screeching noise the further "down" i got and woke up.

Hello narfellus,

That's a very nice thought.... don't let it go.

I have two children, one 3 years the other 1.
I have been teaching my 3 year old visualisation techniques. I ask him to close his eyes and tell me what he can see...
What's interesting is that he can see stuff in his minds eye and he explains in great detail... Which makes me think that most children are very spiritual and have these abilities naturally when born which slowly fades away as they are not used and recognized in today's society.

There is one big problem here.... "Religion", spirituality is associated with religion...
And we don't know enough or have any scientific facts that the after life exists. People nowadays base there life's on facts and wouldn't want there children being taught something which isn't scientifically proven.

We all need to have faith...

Ive had quite a bit of bad contact with negs, so I will share. Negs exist in this world, because they have no purpose. No reason to move on, no reason to care.

They really need people that understand them and can ease their pain. I mean come on..... they are usually people plucked from the prime of their lives, from families that they love. In this world, unfortunatly where spirituality = insanity they really have no other choice. If the departed try to contact their families, they are horribly rejected and feared, even if it is a spouce.

How would you feel if you died today and you try to contact your family to tell them you are ok, only to be called a demon and they run off screaming? Wouldnt that drive you insane after awhile seeing loved ones in pain, because of you, and you are unable to do anything, in fear of making things worse?

You must remember.... negs dont just sprout up out of no where. They are evey bit as human as we are, and deserve the same treatment.... for anyone has the potential to become a neg under the right condition. So on that note, have some sympathy for them.

BTW, I think its safe to say that Ive seen atleast as much, if not *far* worse, and even I have sympathy for them. I used to hate what they stood for, but now I only feel sadness. No one deserves such a fate... no one.

Difficult to easily explain, but easy to refer you to a book that can. Have a look for a book by the author DJ Conway called Celtic Magic. It goes into quite a bit of detail about the Celtic gods & godesses, and the elemental spirits.

Now,the question is,why you are speaking of this in the Magic section.
Oogah Boogah!
Whatever, keep this stuff to the religion part, mmkay?

Yes you are making sense.  First of all to progress the best way is to keep a dream log.  Write down everything you can remember about your dream.

You see the brain is like every other muscle in the human body.  Exercise it and it gets stronger.  The conscious mind pays little attention to most dreams, because they are a part of the subconscious mind.  When we start writing down our dreams first thing every morning the conscious mind stands up and takes notice.

The next thing you know you will start waking up after a dream.  At that moment turn on a light, and write a brief synopses of the dream you had.  So that in the morning you will be able to recall the dream more clearly.

Next thing you will start becoming aware that you are having multiple dreams each and every night.  I got up to around 6-12 each night.  And would wake up after every one to make notes of it.  It got to the point where it was taking and hour or more to write them all down after I woke up.

Then you start becoming more lucid in your dreams, and begin to learn how to control them.  This is important, because the same things that help you control what is going on in a dream, helps you to control what is going on when you AP.

Some how, this learning better dream control helps teach the conscious mind how to AP.

There are a hundred different methods to AP.  Each one works differently for different people.  But from what I have read here in these posts, those that are able to AP on a regular basis started off writing their dreams down.  I believe it is a part of the process.  For example lets call AP high school.  You would have a hard time going directly into high school without ever attending any of the lower classes.  The lower classes are like learning the dream world.  They sort of prepare you for AP.

Now to answer your question.  I have taken about a month off due to personal reasons, and right now do not remember my nightly dreams, or have I AP'd for about the same amount of time.  But when I was doing what I am talking about both my dreams and ability to AP went very high.

I started living on much less sleep.  I woke up many times in the night, after each dream.  Ten minutes to a half an hour seemed to be the normal for me.  This equated to several hours each night that I was not sleeping.  But the number of hours from when I went to bed, and got up still stayed at about 8.  Although I was only sleeping about 5.  The curious thing is that I did not experience being tired allot during the day like one would think.

Ive often thought similair questions. I believe many people get too wrapped up in things thay do not understand or are not develped to deal with. My answer to my own question seems to be "anything that frightens you unessacerly or causes you to change in any way other than for the higher good of ones self probably isnt development in a spiritual sense. Then one could argue that negative exipriences may teach you, and may help you to grow stronger in some way.

I currently believe that learning to atune to ones higher self is the most rewarding and safe way foward.
