PHPBB is a nice layout and much faster than this type of forum. however it is too risky trying to change over to another forum with a database this large. (out of curiousity how large is the database Adrian? In terms of actual MB size of course.)

Hi Passive Observer,

Welcome to the Astral Pulse forums! [:)] The issue that you mentioned has been brought up before, and is something that does occur to everyone who uses Mozilla and Firefox. There is mention of it in the following thread:

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11384

The problem may actually be a Mozilla bug, and not the Astral Pulse. I run linux on one of my computers and windows xp on the others. The one with linux uses mozilla and there is no large space here at the AP. However, on my work computer I have Win XP and Firefox and there is that particular 'bug'. So at home I use Win XP and IE6 when visiting the Astral Pulse.

If you read the other thread, you'll see a link to a Mozilla forum on browser issues. I haven't followed up with them on this, however if I do find something out, I'll post a fix. [;)]

Very best,
Nick

hello there !

welcome to the forum.

hints & tips, eh ? well, I'm no expert myself....far from it. But I would suggest you try practising at night (set your alarm for 4am, go to the loo, wash yr face, read a book for 15mins then try AP).

Another technique, good for a saturday. : get up 2 hrs earlier than you would normally, go for a run / long walk....tire yourself out a bit. Have a shower then lie down for a nap and practise in a quiet environment.

These are basically variations on the same technique....interrupting your sleep pattern. It often does the trick; just be careful not to fall asleep as you practise !
