Books on lucid dreaming have said that it is possible to use reading to do reality testing. If the words change when you look away and look back, you are dreaming.

I do much reading in waking life. Books were my earliest friends. In dreams, I read as easily as in waking life, whether the dreams are lucid or not. Often I buy books in dreams and sometimes I read parts of them. The worst part is realizing that some information of great value is coming soon and having the dream end at that point.

yes everytime im out.It is kind of like a meditation. My mind is totally clear.Ive been stuck in a few places for what seemed like a long time.

If I had any thoughts,I probably would of started  to panic. In constricting places of that sort its very easy too.Things have started to blurr on me.When I started to think about whats going on around me.So I just dont.

Hey RB mentions about these places called voids in his book.He said they make for great meditation spots. There is nothing there at all but your concious and surrounding blackness.I think ive actually been in a few.Its like time slows in these places.Your astral body moves in slow mo. too.Its really  a strange feeling.

you may be right to some extent, however if you look at the effort needed to project -meditation, relaxation, training the mind, NEW,  maybe you end up putting in more by having the lure of projection.  Also constant projectors would find it harder to project the more they do it. All reports seem to indicate it gets easier the more you do it. In my case i have wondered why i had projection experiences at a certain stage of development rather than other phenomenon- maybe it is a path for some and not others. I also think that enlightenment comes through having a variety of human(and spiritual) experiences and not neccesarily by filling our karmic tank and taking off to nirvanaland. wouldn't that make a great theme park?

Often I have a wallet in my dreams and I buy things. On waking up, it can take a while to convince myself that no actual money was spent. It always bothers me to not have the objects purchased carry over from the dream into waking life. That is another thing that takes time to adjust to. As for where the money came from, I have had dreams in which I got a job and went to work. These dreams have even included being paid for my time. Unfortunately, a couple of places will say bad things should any future employer contact them because it seems my attendance was not very good. These employers do not react well to having been told that I was only dreaming when I took the job and that when I woke up I was no longer available to go to work. One person insisted on giving me a final paycheck despite being told that I was about to wake up and that the check would not carry over. The funny thing about paper money is that when I close my wallet and open it again the writing changes. The value of the money usually increases. Two nights ago a $1 became a $20. Anything indicating a name or address couldn't possibly continue to be correct for long. The odd thing is that in dreams it is usually very easy to read even small print.
