The first part of your dream seemed like dreams I've worked with before. The last part seemed to turn into something else, drama and maybe some fantasy. Are you a female? The girl could be a child aspect of you.Do you practice magic?

*I want to clarify what I mean by death. Death in dreams (like Winter scenes) doesn't mean death in the physical sense, more like an ending of something...and always followed by something new.

Your mind is much more creative than you think. While you are dreaming or out of body it can create magnificent fictional worlds that you could never imagine if being awake.

Sometimes dreams can even be more beautiful than screenshots from Myst 3 (the most beautiful game I've ever seen).

thats a interesting dream this might have a special meaning to you in some sort of way like it might be telling you something like maybe you pledged to something earlier i dont pretty interesting
or maybe even as crazy as this might sound maybe you were someone close to him like one of his men or someone who was inspired by him in a previous life you should do your research on him and recall to ypur dream if there were any connections

I would be very surprised to hear that it actually attacked you no less leave a mark on your physical body.  They are just there to scare you out of projecting and will do or say anything short of physically attacking you.

Your post did make me remember though, when I was oh...I'd say around 6-9 I had these reaccuring dreams or spontaneous projections where something would grab my back.  Hard to explain, it was like someone put their hands in a claw shape and then pushed the fingers onto my back, it was a uncomfortable feeling, yet didn't hurt.  I just knew I hated it when it happened.  For some reason, it stopped happening after those few years, I believe I had started to talk or pray to God around that time..[]

Next time it happens to you I would try and ignore it as much as possible and surround yourself in the Divine White Light, that should help.
