In one book I read, grounding was defined as a flow of energy both to and from the planet. If particular forms of energy become excessive or uncomfortable they can be placed with the flow of energy into the ground and allowed to dissipate. The flow of energy back from the planet causes the gap to be filled. Energy which is released this way into the planet does not harm it. Instead, it functions more like a compost pile for making fertilizer.

Greetings Darrenbeck!

What sort of topics are you specifically interested in? E.g. Magic, OBE, Metaphysics etc.?

Best regards,

Adrian.

The seven main chakras are in the yoga system. The Hindu one, to be specific. In Buddhist yoga, there are only five. The top two and bottom two of the Hindu system are combined into single chakras in the Buddhist system. Of the five in the Buddhist system, it is common to focus on only the top three.

The taoist systems (chi kung, tai chi) do not normally use the seven main yogic chakras. There are three locations where energy is stored. One is around the navel, one is around the heart, and one is in the forehead. It is best to emphasize the lowest of the three, knowing that filling it will also fill the other two.

It is possible to use both systems at the same time. Often they are described separately, though, and I think that this is what has caused the confusion. If you prefer the chakra system, as I do, it is still good to drop the excess energy into the subnavel storage area when you are done.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Astral Mapping

Yes, but i would imagine that is because like in rugby, there are many individuals who turn up on a Sunday for the pie eating XV but there are few Johnny Wilkinsons around. It comes down to ability and time constraints.

The research facility is a good idea but who would fund it and for what reasons. Wasn't SRI set up in response to the cold war and what the Soviets were getting upto? (I could be wrong on that)

Welcome to Metaphysics! / After images or Aura's
February 22, 2002, 11:28:22
Often I have started trying to learn to see auras. It is difficult at first to distinguish between seeing auras and seeing after-images. Now I'm finding that there are certain people around whom I find it easier to see something of an aura. If it had been just after-images every time, there is no reason why I should not be seeing after-images around some people but not others. Also, the background seems to be far more significant than the amount or intensity of any staring that I do. Actually, my biggest successes seem to be when I a not trying to see auras. I'll just look over at someone and it happens right away. If you keep practicing, you will probably find that you will have less reason for concern and more reason for confidence.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Auric Vision

I did the same thing as you a few years ago and it became very easy for me to see afterimages (auras of colour). It is interesting to note, though, that I didn't see any astral auras until I was well into NEW development. Even then, I've only actually seen one astral aura to date. I saw it around another person about ten feet away while I was using the etheric wrap technique on my left thumb (to heal a blood blister). For what it's worth, I'd suggest trying NEW while practicing aura viewing exercises. It is very easy to do both at the same time, as neither one really requires that much concentration.

G'day!

Sorry, but outside the astral environment this is a bit difficult.  I know of no way to make such energy balls. You can do this in while out of body, re astral combat techniques, but it kinda loses its effect if done in body. My 14yo son, Jesse, has asked me this question many times, as have an unusual number of early teens.  Methinks they all watch Dragon Ball Z; which rocks!

You can, however, make energy balls using visualization. If you are in the trance state, and have astral sight, you will probably even be able to see them.  But what you can do with these and what effect they might have, I am not sure.

Take care, Robert.
