This morning I was working on projecting, and I nearly got it.

I found myself in sleep paralysis and started working on getting out. I tried rolling out, getting up, levitating, etc. The rope technique was interesting. I could feel the strain on my arms and back as I tried to pull. Unfortunately, I didn't get anywhere. It was as if I was pulling the rope towards me as opposed to pulling myself up. I was moving in the same manor I would make my physical body move, which I now see the flaw in; I figure that's why I feel so restricted.

How do you move, then? Is it based on thinking yourself through it? Any particular methods? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm too close to give up! =)

I am staying in India for three months. I came in mid May and am leaving in early August. I've been trying to have OBEs since last September, but most of my successes were flukes that were short and uncontrolled. Well, this past saturday, I finally performed an OBE after nearly three months of no success. I woke up at 6:00 am and waited for less than two minutes to start meditating (personally, I meditate by clearing my mind and focus on breathing. Visualization seems too distracting). I used Lambda binaural beats from youtube for some time, but I kept falling asleep. I switched to a theta isochronic tone, and, after about ten minutes, I felt a wave of vibrations rush through me. I was unable to exit, but the experience was better than any other OBE that I have had. The next day, I tried again in the same manner; however, I only used theta isochronic tones. I had the same outcome. I tried again today and I believe it was more controlled than the other two. These three experiences seemed so much more significant than past experiences because of the fact that they seemed more controlled and that this had been the first time I had felt vibrations.

The reason I am posting is to give advice to people in similar positions as myself.

- Wake up early
- Wait a maximum of three minutes before meditating
- Even if you keep falling asleep, keep going.
- Energy awareness and energy raising techniques seem to really help. I suggest looking into them.

Also, does anyone have any exit techniques that they have had success with? I've heard of the rope technique and roll over technique, but I'd like to try others as well. Thank you!

My name is Akeel. I've been practicing with OBEs since last September. I've had a few projections here and there, but they have all been short. Just before these projections, I would see flashing lights, but that would usually be my only sign.

While meditating I've also come across a spinning sensation. I'm assuming that it's a sign that I'm close. Many times after meditating (usually if I had drifted off to sleep), I'll bounce back and feel as if I'm vibrating. It lasts for a few seconds before dissipating. I'm wondering if, perhaps, I was in a vibrational stage while asleep and the feeling after I wake up are those vibrations fading out.

If anyone can shed some light on these topics, it would be greatly appreciated. Any advice would also be of great help. Thank you!  =D
