Mastering Astral Projection is the best guide there is. Its perfect for training as it focuses on only one thing, and that is to teach you how to have that first OBE, using a step by step achievable method. Read more about this book on the following link to my library.

Mr Bruce I find that an arrogant statement ( how do you know you've written the best book together with that other writer ? ) You seem very full of yourself, like you really think you know whats the best way to do projection. Has the idea ever crossed your mind that their may be other techniques than your own that may work better for some people ?

(a must read : D. Scott Rogo's "Leaving The body" a very cool book with 8 different techniques that are compared, evaluated, discussed and tried )

Also, you claim your NEW energy system works better then methods that have been around for thousands of years. (in your books )  You also claimed you developed it without studying those methods.... and that your way is better. HHHMPF !

I'm starting to think this whole forum is a way for you to boost your book sales.... I even wonder for how long this post is going to be here before it gets deleted.

Am i being to negative ?

A couple of nights ago I realized i was dreaming, because i was dreaming of a huge apartment tower, and they always appear in my dreams.

Anyway, for the first time, I remembered to attempt to get out of my body. I simply try to reach for my physical body, and it worked. I didn't get any vibes, and everything was normal pitch black, but i was sure that my upper body was " loose " form the rest. I felt my non-physical arms sort of... swaying above me, and i tried to float up. I noticed i couldn't, because i was still attached to my feet.

I then tried to will my feet to let go of me, and the next thing i knew i was wide awake, and totally IB. ( in body, new abbreviation for you abbreviation lovers !  8) )

So what do you guys and girls think i did wrong ? Was it that i focused my attention to much on my body ?

I've read in a lot of books including Robert Bruce's, that there are a lot of different planes, levels/ dimensions above ours. One vibrational level higher is the Real Time Zone, and on top of that one seven planes that vibrate at even higher levels.

But what would it mean if our level of vibration, the " solid " plane, wasn't the lowest one ?

Maybe there's one or more levels BELOW us !  Maybe WE are subjective shadows of people living in the superlowvibrating plane.. ..

Maybe there is an entire universe that's infinitely dense and heavy, and the beings there are unable to move due to there mass, they just are there and they dream , and we live out their dreams...

Yup my imagination is going overdrive ! Any thoughts or additions to this " theory " ?

Guys, please explain to me why you think the RTZ is to be avoided. To me, it's the most practical place to be while out-of-body. I've only managed to project there once ( still not sure if it was a dream, or real, though... ) but it seemed awesome. And i really like the idea of visiting friends and family that are far away.

Nevertheless ( nice word eh ) i keep reading comments that say you've got to stay there as short a time as possible, because it has no value ? Why not ?

During what i think was my first successful journey into the astral plane, i thought I'd pay a visit to the Deer Park close to my house. But instead of deer, there where HUGE elephants with only one eye. Each elephant had 1 eye, i mean.

So my question is this : Is it possible that in the buffer between the physical realm and the astral, deer appear as one-eyed elephants instead of their normal form? Could it be that because of the vicinity to a mental hospital, the majority of the people around here see them as bizarre animals, so that in the astral they resemble that ?

Or is that just crap and was it only a lucid dream ?

hmmmm... any thoughts ?

EDIT : I just read the lenghty sticky topic with some very interesting stuff about beliefs, posted by Frank. VERY enlightening ! Boy do i feel ignorant. I'll leave my post as it was though, i hope you guys aren't annoyed by how much of a newby i am !

Welcome to Members Introductions! / Allrighty then !

Greetings, fellow yourneymen ! ( and yourneywoman )

After stalking this place for a couple of months, I've decided to join you.  First, let me quickly introduce myself, to get it over with.

I'm a 21 year old psychiatric nurse (just finished the academy) with an interest in, well, you guessed it, Astral Projection. Actually, an obsession or at least a fascination would be a better description. I've been meditating for a quite some time now, and the my discovery of chakra meditation made me wonder about how far it all goes.... how much more there is to discover.

I've been lucid dreaming ( or dreaming lucidly ? Hmmm ) for as long as i can remember. I allways make fried egg sandwiches appear in dreams ( they used to be my favorite, but i had to many ) and then eat them, naturally. Or beat up people that made me angry, or have sex with the ones that didn't. Look, i'm ranting allready in my first post.

A couple of moth ago, i read in a novel about a girl that  astral traveled when she was comatose. It roused my curiosity. I proceeded, like i always do when I'm interested in something, by reading everything i could find about the subject.

I did a lot of practicing, and i think i had a successful OBE a couple of weeks ago. I have been trying ever since, no luck.

So here i am, thirsty for knowledge and looking for some friendly people  to have nice discussions with.

See you around !  - Joerii
