Went to sleep tipsy around 1230-100am, coming home from the house of a friend of my girlfriend after they had us over for dinner. I woke up around 430-500. My head was spinning ever so slightly and slowly, almost like i imagined it from the combination of alcohol and dehydration. After a drink of water, i returned to sleep. At one point i was sleeping on my left side, and i had a strange feeling like my body was trying to communicate with me, trying to get me to move. I will remember that sensation from now on, because that was my body seeing if my mind was asleep, the onset of SP. After several moments, i feel a pressure on the lateral side of my right leg, starting at my ankle and travelling up my leg. I can't remember where it ended up or stopped because I started having fine fine vibrations, accompanied by a sound in my ear. It was a sound that you can hear when you close your eyes tightly, like your straining something. SP set in I got excited. My heart was racing, as this was the first onset episode I've had in nearly 3 months, in which time I just started to focus on my dreams (which paid off really well). This is the 2nd time ive experienced SP and the first time I didn't try to move because I didn't want to jinx or break it so to speak. This time around I wanted to experience the paralysis of it, so I tried moving my hand and sure enough, it didn't move right away but a second later i broke my SP when i jerked my hand . As it turned out, it was a very light or partial SP. AT some point i tried controlling my breathing, which turned heavy. SP faded, other than that nothing happened.

2 hours later, im still trying to get to sleep. As i write this, its 750. Around 730 i feel a familiar trance state. I deepen my trance and the sensations follow. With all of my intentions, I wanted to float. This part is completely new for me. I start feeling my legs drift upwards toward the ceiling, even though my physical is under a thick comforter. In my head I'm screaming "clarity now!" but nothing is happening so i move on. My legs are floating upwards while the rest of my body is still anchored. I wanted to get myself off the bed. I wanted to slide off the end of the bed and I make little progress but it got too difficult for me to do so, so instead i want to turn to the right of my bed and get off there. With my intentions, it slowly happens. I can't feel my physical body at this point and I experience the sensations of my feet floating around at my discretion. I can feel myself become upright as my nonphysical stands up and floats lazily and clumsily beside my bed. Moments pass and I slowly start receiving visions in my head, like a vivid dream. The first thing I notice is that the closet door is open (in the physical, it is closed), which is directly to the right of my bed. But instead of it being fluid, it comes like a series of rapid photos like it was filmed on a camera with a horrible frames-per-second, or like a stop animation film. All of my motions and movements are very very slow and clumsy. From the closet I look down at the ground to see that I am floating perhaps 2-3 feet above the ground. I'm starting to lose my lucidity at this point and soon enough, I find myself back in my body.

Although I am back in my body I still feel the trance so I have a go at it again. I feel light and my feet are floating again. I try to slide off the end of the bed and this time it comes so much easier and much much more fluid. My intentions had greater effect this time around. It was so bizzare, so surreal that I ACTUALLY feel myself sliding off the bed, my body moving through space to reach the end of the bed. I get up and I can see the bathroom door. When I look at the door now as im writing this, I can remember that in the non-physical I couldn't remember or see the details of the toys that were on the shelf next to that door. Back to the nonphysical, I wanted to turn 135 degrees to my left to see my girlfriend sleeping in the other twin bed that is situated to the left of my bed. I didn't want to see my own body just yet; I didn't feel that I was quite ready for it. I see from my vision that Im turning left but it is taking a LOOONG time and im moving extremely slow, just like before. When I finally face her bed, I can see the square patterns of her quilt, but no body. Perhaps the absence of a body is what causes me to lose my lucidity and I find myself back in my body but this time, without the energy to repeat and "exit" my body again. I am dumbfounded =)

Notes: To give you the setting, I just moved from Hawaii to the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. As I mentioned before, my last awake episode was at the end of October and since then I've been focusing on my dreams.

Another note, I found that the reason I couldn't see my girlfriend in the bed next to me was because she was completely under the comforter and the comforter was smoothed out completely, which may have led me to believe she was not there and an empty bed. An easy mistake for someone who had poor vision. The room we are in is also her 2 younger brothers, which houses 2 separate twin sized beds. We sometimes sleep in separate beds because sharing 1 twin sized is too small for us.

Two nights ago, I had a vivid dream of watching the sunset several times. It was so vivid, I can clearly picture the orb of the orange sun falling behind the edge of the world and ocean. I mention this because the images of the vivid dream was how I was able to see in this experience.

I found it extremely helpful writing this down, as I am able to clarify to myself what exactly happened and in what order. I almost tried to downplay it as my imagination, but the better part of me knew that would be a lie. I felt myself move. I felt myself sliding off the bed, myself turning to see more of the room, even as I stood upright. It couldn't have been my imagination: I had the sensations. I also must report that there lacked an "exit" of my physical body. I've been giving thought about exit methods the past few months, maybe our nonphysical selves are not "stuck" in our physical body as we are illusioned to believe. Perhaps exit methods is our way of understanding the non-physical bodies and achieving that state of consciousness. Maybe its not "within" us at all. Or maybe it is, because as physics tells us, we are nothing but empty space and vibrating energy. Where does it come from? I don't know. I can't answer that, but I'm sure I've read similar theories pertaining to location of the non-physical when we are not using it. But I'm starting to believe that the focus of exit methods may actually drive us away from our goal of leaving the non-physical because it provides the dogma that we are "trapped" within ourselves. Perhaps exit methods just provide us with a better understanding of the nonphysical and the more you understand the non-physical, the easier it is for you to grasp "exiting" your physical body. I also am able to better understand how one loses lucidity during an OBE experience.

Did I feel something gripping my left leg above my ankle 5 minutes after I returned to my physical body?

Tuesday, 10/9 In my conscious awakeness during the night, I felt many sensation such as a great weight being lifted in my mind followed by my body spinning, feelings of being whirled away, etc. Had difficulty sleeping during the night, the girlfriend experienced similar difficulties. When she wakes in the am and gets ready for school. When she is the bathroom doing her pretty-up routine, I feel the familiar pressure sensation of sleep pressing onto me accompanied by strong vibrations in the head. As soon as I feel vibrations I'm asleep.

The vibrations were present in the dream but not in the following TV sequence. I dreamt I was in a parallel reality of the studio in live in and there was a TV in the room (we don't own a TV). The TV was playing and that was part of another dream sequence, but one that played over and over and over and over. After TV sequence of dream, the vibrations were still present. In my dream, i stared at a spot and saw "psi-waves", centered circles within circles that distorted the vision of that particular spot in like that of a mirage. I return to half awake consciousness (I think, its so difficult to interpret) and touch my forehead and hum OMM along with the vibrations. I return to my dream and notice a camera with blue infrared light on the ceiling corner and I stare at the until I wake up fully.

I believe the camera was my such conscious telling me that i was being watched and i had reason to believe a presence was watching us all night that made falling asleep very difficult for me and my girlfriend. This is the second time it has stayed with us for the night and it kept us from sleeping last night as well. When my girlfriend left for school, I spoke to it indirectly in the room, saying idk what it is, if its good or bad, why it keeps us up at night, or if its helping me AP by keeping me and my gf awake, etc. Well here's the concerning part. I turn my back to go back to sleep, and I HEAR AN EVIL LAUGH FROM WHERE I DREAMT THE CAMERA WAS SITUATED, JUST MOMENTS AFTER I ADDRESSED IT. I don't want to jump to conclusions and it was very possible that it was actually a person from the nearby apartments/street/neighbor, but I didn't hear anything before or after that suggested so nor can I think of a reason of someone doing that at 730 in the morning. I wasn't APing or dreaming. When I go to record the events in my dream journal I contract the hiccups, making it impossible to go back to sleep. I know I'm making progress by the onset of my vibrations, which were stronger than last time, but it seems I'm not the only being that is interested in it. Any thoughts?

Welcome to Dreams! / Dreaming of vibrations
October 08, 2012, 00:31:56
This makes the 8th day since I started my dream journal, although I should have started weeks ago.  Ever since I've been trying to OBE and meditating before sleep (although its more like my meditation LEADS me into sleep) I've been able to remember my dreams every single night.  The past 2 nights I actually dreamt I had pre-OBE vibrations.  I don't know what part it played in my dreams or if it was even a dream or if it happened while I was half awake for the first occurance.  But last night for the second occurance I dreamt of it again as well as experienced real vibrations when I awoken.

Last night in my dream I rented an upstairs loft and when I moved in the woman of the house told me it used to belong to a child who was very strange and strange things used to happen around him, and the room as well.  I asked if he very air headed and spiritual and she she he was.  At the word spiritual I imagined I was experiencing the vibrations.  It was a strange thing and later that night I woke up to the vibrations and imagined myself floating upwards and it eventually faded probably bc I took the wrong approach but now I at least feel reassured that it happened two nights in a row with consistency.   They were mild vibrations, mind you, and I wasn't very aware of my body when I woke up to them, but they were at least there and I feel reassured of some sort of consistency of it happening two nights in a row.

On a side note, last night i also dreamt I cultivated a strong bond with a dolphin and I understand that dolphins are considered somewhat angelic and extraterrestrial beings.
I've also been listening to the omens that have been coming my way.  The other day a Japanese tourist (I live in Waikiki) asked if there was a payphone nearby, so I took her to a phone booth in one of the food courts nearby.
I was about to leave after leading her there but decided to take a look around, taking it as a sign from my helper that I've been asking for help.  Lo and behold, I found that a friend worked in the food court that I haven't spoken to for a while because I resented him for losing a bike and wrecking another and he still hasn't replaced than like he I'd he would.  He was one of the negative thoughts I had when trying to meditate the previous night.  I texted him later that day.  I know I still have a ways to go to forgiving him, but I at least I know I'm on the right path due to my recent experiences.

Hello,
So sometimes when I meditate to induce an OBE at night (I've only had 1 OBE experience and that ended before I could really leave my body due to physical interruptions), I get a  really strong sensation in my lower 4 front teeth, accompanied with a magnetic-like compulsion to open my lower jaw.  I know that in Monroe's books he found that the jaw acts like a tuning fork of some kind.  I'd just like to see I'd anyone has any insight on my experiences.  Please and thank you, as always.

I'm excited to say that I've encountered my first astral experience early this morning when I was staying up late last night :-)

I've been meditating sober laying on my back before i go to sleep these past weeks while listening to YouTube binaural beats/isochronic and guided meditation videos.  But this past week i was making real progress when my meditating started becoming more deeper and sensational, like floating close to my body while still connected physically.  Last night I was on the brink of ascension when my girlfriend had me return to my body.

Yesterday I smoked weed for the first time in over a month  and it was like a new experience. I would feel myself slip outside of my body very slightly then get jerked back in.  I came home I went to sleep.  I woke up at dusk, stayed up till the early morning when I was tired to do it again.  I was reading about it, smoked some more and I knew I was going to do it.  I tried meditating but was cold because my girlfriend likes to turn the AC on at night, and it kept me from grounding myself.  I instinctively knew holding her hand would help me so I held her hand.  I felt confident and proceeded to meditsting.

I allowed myself to be like a rubber bouncy ball and experienced the sensation of bouncing like a bouncy ball, which led seeing colors dance in my minds eye, then seeing into the void which is unlike seeing the back of my eyelids.  I concentrated on my breathing because controlling my heart rate is the hardest thing  to do when I start to get excited. But this time I was calm and kept it under control with concentration.  I tried rolling out of my body, but that didn't work.  I then started to hear a sound like from the binaural beats/isochronic videos I was used to listening to, but 10 times much more intense and it seemed the sound was causing me to vibrate growing in intensity.  I felt a force of willpower that could control the vibrations, this force that i tapped into and knew instinctively i could be revoke it again if I wanted. I felt myself directing my vibrations also onto my girlfriend too.  With every deep breathe I took, I could feel myself expanding outward over my body.  I was a good yard floating over my body, feeling really exposed to be outside of my physical shell.  At this point, my girlfriend was trying to wake me up but I didn't hear her from my physical body, I heard her from where I was floating.  She was starting to freak out so I returned to my body.

She was freaked out about the vibrations and thought that I was going to attract unwanted entities (she used to be followed by a spirit for a couple years) saying I didn't know I was doing.  I said that nothing could hurt us if I remained positive. In the end we agreed that I wouldnt do it again until we seek spiritual counseling.  Does anyone have any insight or advice for? Please and thank you.
