Hello:

Do OBEs prove the existence of the afterlife? I've had a lot of spiritual experiences including OBEs, and I'm quite certain that the afterlife exists.

The impression I get is that many people consider NDEs to be a bigger proof for the afterlife than OBEs. People are more inclined to say that OBEs are nothing more than a hallucination or dream. Going by how my OBEs have played out, they are proof.

Have any of you had OBEs in a way where you believe they proved the existence of the afterlife?

Welcome to Book Reviews! / Books by Albert Haust
February 24, 2016, 19:38:13
Hello:

Back in 2011 I self published two books. I made very little effort to market them and it seems as if few people became aware of them.  Some people emailed me through my site and said they found the books very helpful.

I rewrote them and published second editions. One book is called "A Night in Heaven" and the other is called "Joining the Oneness-Beyond Nonduality." If anybody is interested, here is an amazon link. It would be great if you provided a review, because Amazon's search algorithm considers how many reviews are done.

Hello:

My feeling is that reincarnation doesn't happen in the linear way that people often believe it happens. Rather, each of us has a higher self/oversoul that sends out numerous projections and eventually these projections return to higher self and share what they have learned. Therefore, each of us doesn't need to reincarnate numerous times. I believe this mainly because of experiences I've had. I figure some of you believe the same.

Below is what I wrote about reincarnation.

Welcome to Book Reviews! / My book "A Night in Heaven"
September 04, 2011, 17:40:58
Hello:
Attached are links for a book I wrote. It is called "A Night in Heaven."  The title is based on an experience I had which was sort of like a near death experience, except that I didn't have a near death event. Below are some of the things I speak about.

-How my higher self and spirit guidance helped me overcome the fear of unfriendly spirits through various nonphysical experiences.

-How I overcame lower back, upper back and neck pain through psychological and spiritual means.

-How I made contact with my higher self and spirit guidance.

-Messages I received about the Earth changes people speak about.

The above site doesn't include an image of the cover (this will be done in the future).

The below site does include an image.

He claims that he had a memory gaff, and mistook what he read for his own experience, yet his memory had no problem using some of the same words.

His books have some good things to say, but they also have some false things to say. Perhaps he shouldn't claim that the words come from an infallible source, when they don't.

I don't know anything about Michael Prescott, but I have to say I agree with what he wrote about a part of Jane Robert's/Seth's teachings below.

By Michael Prescott:
"My problem with Seth
Last time, I talked a little bit about the so-called Seth material channeled by Jane Roberts and how it relates to the idea of a holographic universe. But I have to say that I have trouble taking Seth altogether seriously. Communications issued in his name seem to vary considerably in quality, from provocative and scientifically respectable theories about the nature of reality to highly dubious and rather childish exercises in what appears to be pseudoscience.

Reading further in Roberts' 1970 book The Seth Material, I came across a good example of the latter. It's a passage in which Seth tries to explain the mechanism by which thoughts become things.

Thoughts and images are formed into physical reality and become physical fact. They are propelled chemically. A thought is energy. It begins to produce itself physically at the moment of its conception.

Mental enzymes are connected with the pineal gland. As you know them, body chemicals are physical, but they are the propellants of this thought-energy, containing all the codified data necessary for translating any thought or image into physical actuality. They cause the body to reproduce the inner image. They are sparks, so to speak, initiating the transformation.

Chemicals are released through the skin and pore systems, in an invisible but definite pseudophysical formation. The intensity of a thought or image largely determines the immediacy of its physical materialization. There is no object about you that you have not created. There is nothing about your own physical image that you have not made.

The initial thought or image exists within the mental enclosure. It is not yet physical. Then it is sparked into physical materialization by the mental enzymes.

This is the general procedure. All such images or thoughts are not completely materialized in your terms, however. The intensity may be too weak. The chemical reaction sparks certain electrical charges, some within the layers of the skin. There are radiations then through the skin to the exterior world, containing highly codified instructions and information....

Objects are composed of the same pseudomaterial that radiates outward from your own physical image, only the higher intensity mass is different. When it is built up enough, you recognize it as an object. At low intensity mass it is not apparent to you.

Every nerve and fiber within the body has an inner purpose that is not seen, and that serves to connect the inner self with physical reality, that allows the inner self to create physical reality. In one respect, the body and physical objects go flying out in all directions from the inner core of the whole self.  (pp. 121-122)

If we boil this down, Seth seems to be saying that our bodies exude chemicals through the pores of our skin, and these chemicals somehow coalesce into the physical objects around us. Now, I don't know about you, but I find this explanation preposterous. I don't even think it makes sense on the most basic logical level. Our bodies are themselves physical, so do these mysterious chemicals first form our bodies before proceeding to form the rest of our environment? And aren't the chemicals themselves physical? (It's not of much help to label them "pseudophysical" - this just muddies the waters even further.)

Beyond that, do we really believe that everything we perceive around us is produced by the emanation of chemicals from our own individual body? (Seth insists that each individual creates his own reality in toto, so we're not talking about a reality constructed by the combined chemical output of billions of humans; instead we have to imagine billions of separate realities.) If I stand on a high point in the desert where I can see for 50 miles, are the rock formations on the distant horizon created by chemicals exuding from my body at that moment?

Sorry. I'm not buying it."

Yesterday while meditating, I suddenly saw an image of a black blotch. Intuitively without thinking about it I moved my right hand which was resting on top of my right thigh in order to erase it. The blotch erased according to the movement of my hand.

Does anybody know if this has something to do with healing?

Several times a night, each night, I'll see a small blue light flash. Sometimes it'll be white. Whatever the case, even though it's small, it tends to be bright. It's almost star like.

Does anybody know what this might be?

Last night I did a conscious astral projection, and as I did the last time I projected I flew through space very quickly. I say quickly because stars and star clusters were whizzing by me very rapidly.

I tried to travel to where I live in-between physical incarnations, but had no success.  The last time I flew through space I tried to reach my higher self, but no success.

One thing I've noticed is that even though I'm flying through space, I'm still conscious of my physical body. Partly because I have it mind to not move it in any way (I'm afraid that movement might end my experience), and partly because I want to be able to look out for it.

IS IT OKAY TO MAINTAIN AN AWARENESS OF ONE'S PHYSICAL BODY WHILE PROJECTING? WILL MAINTAINING SUCH AN AWARENESS LIMIT ONE'S EXPERIENCE?

Most nights after going to bed, without meaning to, I repeatedly tune into the energy body. It is most noticeable as a humming sound and pressure that I feel in my neck, even though last night it moved to my chest area for awhile. Often I feel the energy around the entirety of my body. Even when I meditate with the intention of tuning into my beingness, I'll become aware of my energy body and feel my body shifting. When this happens I become concerned that I might have one of those bad kundalini experiences people talk about. IS THIS SOMETHING TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT?

Another question if I may. A couple of nights ago I woke up and felt my energy body. I then exited my body and requested higher awareness now. Instead I flew around a city I had never seen it before. It didn't quite look like a physical plain city. It was brighter, cleaner, had florescent colors and seemed somewhat futuristic. I returned to my body and made a point of noticing that I was still connected to waking state awareness. But then after a little time passed I woke up and realized that I dreamed the above, including the room in which the waking body I apparently returned to was laying in. WAS THIS A DREAM OR AN ACTUAL PROJECTION?

Is it it common for people to hear a rumbling sound in their right ear and neck, and to feel pressure in there neck when they tune into their astral body?

For a few days I was afraid that I might have some undesirable kundalini experiences, because of the pressure in my neck.

But then it occured to me that there aren't any chakras in the neck. Therefore, I'm wondering if the pressure I'm feeling in my neck is the astral body rather than kundalini.

Here's a key factor. The other night I was hearing the rumbling in a very slight way. But then I heard that loud swoosh sound near my right ear, the rumbling sound got significantly louder, I felt energy around my entire body, and I started to see psychedelic patterns.

Last night I tried several times to project. I was overcome with subtle energy and heard the usual rumbling sound I hear in my right ear and by my neck. I couldn't project. Instead, several times, my breathing got effected in a really strong way. It is hard to remember how precisely it was effected. Feelings such as air being sucked from my abdomen to my throat area really quick, and then I'd let it out in a steady, strong stream. I also felt a lot of pressure by my neck and in my head.

It is hard for me to recall all of the details, because I was focusing on telling my self to project and contact my higher self, as opposed to remembering all of the details of what I was experiencing. I was trying to contact my higher self astrally, because I know a guy who has done so, plus he knows a guy who has done so, and I've read of a couple of episodes in which people have done so.

Does anybody know what the altered breathing episodes might be about?

Last night after I projected  I heard a man's voice. I had never heard it before. I can't remember his exact words, but he said that I should get back to my body now. He also said that I shouldn't project anymore tonight, because I need to save my energy.

The subtle energy kept coming to me so I wanted to project again, but I decided to listen to the advice of the voice and wait until tonight before I project again.

There were also a couple of other people in the back ground. I couldn't see them. One of them asked me if I had gone through psychotherapy. I haven't, but I've been looking into my own mind alot lately. I believe this is part of the reason subtle/astral experiences have come back to me. I don't know why, but I got the feeling that these other people wanted information on me so they could collect a fee.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MUCH PROJECTING YOU CAN DO?

Does anything bad happen while astral projecting?

Why in the World do I have the ability to do it, when I didn't seek the ability? I wonder if I'm supposed to do something with it. It seems to be coming to me. My local library has a bunch of books on the subject. I plan to check some out.

Hello:

I'm a new poster.

About 25 years ago I astral projected without even knowing that such a thing exists.

The next day without intending too, just by chance (?), I pulled a book off of a library shelf and it just happened to be about astral projection. One of the things it talked about is how a person vibrates before they astrally project. This is exactly what I experienced before I projected.

I pursued the matter a little bit, but in the end decided not to pursue it further.

Recently I've been examining my personal psychology.  About a few days after starting to do so, just before I would fall asleep, I stated to hear this sound. It's hard to describe. Sort of as if pressure is being released from an enclosed space.

After hearing this a number of times, I remembered astral projection.  The sound stirred my vague memory of what astral projection sounds like. A few days later I experienced the vibrations, told myself to go ahead and project, but didn't.

Then I decided that the next time I started to vibrate, I would go outside and look at three numbers on a car's license plate, and then physically go outside to verify if I actually saw them.

Didn't mean to get your hopes up, but when I actually did project, I tried to do the above, but couldn't find my way out of the house. Perhaps going to a specific location is difficult.

Anyway, I'm not really interested in becoming a frequent traveler, but last night for a few hours, every time I would start to fall asleep,  I would hear the noise I talked about and be overcome with energy that feels subtle (astral?) in nature.

IS THERE A POINT IN PROJECTING ASTRALLY? WHAT PURPOSE DOES IT SERVE? It seems as if I have enough to deal with in my physical life.

DOES ANYBODY ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT ASTRAL PROJECTION IS ALL ABOUT? You can't observe and measure it in the same way you observe and measure the physical World.

PEOPLE CAN COME UP WITH ALL KINDS OF THEORIES REGARDING IT.  DOES ANY OF THE KNOWLEDGE ON IT SEEM VALID?

I ask these questions because I don't know what to do about the experiences I've been having. The self examination process I've been going through includes bringing up repressed emotions etc. I guess a connection to the subtle/astral realm (whatever it is) is something I've repressed.

I'VE ALSO HEARD THIS SOUND AS IF ENERGY IS BEING RELEASED FROM MY NOSE AS I BREATH OUT. HAS ANYBODY EXPERIENCED THIS?
