Hey guys... Ben K here...

I left around the same time frank did, and my interests waned as i got more into philosophy and less into what could be called "esoteric" interests...but what philosophy is NOT esoteric, eh? ;)

Anyway im back, hopefully for good, ive been getting some lucid dreams lately and my interest is now back into consciously creating these experiences. I come from the moen-frank school of thought, i've been studying dreams/psychology/reality for awhile and hopefully i can share some experiences, help some folks out, and get helped myself along the way!

good ta see ya astralpulse :)

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Vibrations!
December 05, 2005, 13:56:31
Third or fourth time having vibrations today. i wanted to ignore the sensations so bad but this wooshing sound would get so loud it was unbearable. i was just too scared

does anyone have stories of vibrations and overcoming their fears? Next time i get them ive decided im going to let them take me wherever.

What do your vibrations feel/sound like? What sensations do you experience?

If you have any information related to the vibes please do post!

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Astral Screen?
November 23, 2005, 02:39:18
Hello all, im wondering if anyone has any experience reaching the "astral screen" effect where you are watching your "minds eye" on a screen in front of you, sort of like a movie theatre.

Has anyone experienced this and have any tips on reaching this stage? Im thinking that this will be the next point in my 'development' per say, so any information or knowledge would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Ben

Ok guys im really groggy right now(just woke up) but i had a cool experience i thought id share. it was my second "obe' experience.

anyway i went to lay down/take a nap at about 12:30. i got deeper and deeper into relaxation and i could literally feel my awareness slipping deeper and deeper away.

Then it happened, i was lucid. I realized i was starting at a picture of a town. As i stared the colors got brighter, more vivid, then the image dissapeared after about what seemed like 3 seconds. I was amazed i could visualize thing and actually BE THERE! I felt slight vibrations the whole time, i should say, and i was aware that at any time I could "lose" my awareness and fall back into the heavy vibrational stage.I suspect this will go away with practice, and i cant wait to explore my PF2 ;)

So i imagined a room in my grandmas house i used to sleep in when i was a kid, and there i was! I walked downstairs, looked around(it seemed like it was early morning) and decided to fly OUT of her window. As soon as i went through the window I ended up in the 3d darkness. I was so excited that i was doing it, and doing it so easily that i wasnt sure what position my body was anymore. I knew i wasnt exactly "in" it. It felt like my feet were high in the air and my body was laying vertically in my room. Then as soon as I knew it I could feel myself traveling somewhere, and I gently glided right back into my body! i could DEFINITLY feel this transition, and it was SO smooth it was unbelievable!

So theres my story, I just wanted to write it down while I can remember it all because it was an AMAZING experience. words just cant do justice. Il comment more later when Im...awake

So this morning i had to get up to go to work at 8. i got home about 11:30 and decided to take a nap and try to make some progress on phasing. So far ive been practicing once a day- at night before I go to bed. Usually I can make it to a light f10- some colors, sounds and "dream scapes" etc.

Well I became lucid in a dream and very quickly two things happened. 1) I started flying away from the dream, literally. It was like I was being swept back to my body. As soon as this happened I found myself in the 3d darkness. I was experiencing some intense vibrations and found that If i focused my "minds eye" on a spot in the blackness it would slowly evolve into a dream scenario. Also there was some sort of sound going on this whole time, sort of like wind rushing past my ears. Has anyone experienced this?

I did this once, then found myself back in the 3d blackness, with yet more vibrations. If i had been my "normal" self I would have indulged in experiencing these for the first time, but in my half-dream state I could not handle it. All of a sudden my head EC felt like it exploded, and I just gave up. I found myself back in my room, with slight tingles, but for the most part just groggy. I felt great that I had at least made progress, but I wished I would have kept going with the vibes.

So has anyone else experienced the vibrations or the "wind" sound? Just thought I would share my first experience with you guys, maybe it will help someone :)

Also, FYI I have been practicing for about 4 months now, if that gives you a timeframe ;)

hello everyone.

i was reading around the internet at work today when I came across an essay by Terence McKenna. I dont know if anyone here is familiar with his work but he has somep really interesting stuff. Anyway- i read this passage here-

I first experimented with DMT in 1965; it was even then a compound rarely met with. It is surprising how few people are familiar with it, for we live in a society that is absolutely obsessed with every kind of sensation imaginable and that adores every therapy, every intoxication, every sexual configuration, and all forms of media overload. Yet, however much we may be hedonists or pursuers of the bizarre, we find DMT to be too much. It is, as they say in Spanish, bastante, it's enough - so much enough that it's too much. Once smoked, the onset of the experience begins in about fifteen seconds. One falls immediately into a trance. One's eyes are closed and one hears a sound like ripping cellophane, like someone crumpling up plastic film and throwing it away. A friend of mine suggests this is our radio entelechy ripping out of the organic matrix. An ascending tone is heard. Also present is the normal hallucinogenic modality, a shifting geometric surface of migrating and changing colored forms. At the synaptic site of activity, all available bond sites are being occupied, and one experiences the mode shift occurring over a period of about thirty seconds. At that point one arrives in a place that defies description, a space that has a feeling of being underground, or somehow insulated and domed. In Finnegans Wake such a place is called the "merry go raum," from the German word raum, for "space." The room is actually going around, and in that space one feels like a child, though one has come out somewhere in eternity.

Now a couple things astonish me here.

1- The audio "hallucinations" at the onset of the trip. VERY similar to some of the exit sensations or phasing sensations.

2- Does anyone else think he describes Fz- 3d darkness- to a tee?

So, what do you guys think? Are drugs a way of perhaps inducing awareness-shifts? Or do you think these are stupid hallucinations? What are your theories on drugs? Im looking for alot of viewpoints so feel free to share- just dont drop any of that "drugs are bad yada yada".

This is the second time this has happened.

I go lay down to practice phasing. I will reach a light F10, then drift off into sleep. Sometime during this I will become lucid. I start to fly around, etc etc.

But somethings not right. I am not in control. That is, thought =\= action. Now first I thought that i was simply dreaming. It only seemed like i had control in retrospect. But then this happened again last night. This time, out of frustration at not being able to control my reality, i simply closed my eyes to hopefully change my environment, and i lost lucidity. As in i dont remember what happened when I opened my eyes.

Is this progress or just a more aware dream? Any comments/tips? Thanks in advance :D

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Time

Ive had an interesting thought.

Time is relative, correct?

If we can realize this and apply it to OBE practices, isnt it possible to have OBEs that last hundreds of years? relatively speaking, of course. you would wake up maybe an hour later in physical time or something.

Is this possible? Any mods or experianced OBErs have comments?

I have been pondering alot of stuff for the last few weeks, mostly because my beliefs and attitude towards reality and life have changed immseasurably. So my question now is this: If we created this world then where does evolution fit into the picture? Not even that but how did we get here? And, as always, no fighting in my thread or i will e-kick you out of my thread ;)

Frank, I've just started practicing AP, havent had one yet but I am making progress. Ive been reading this forum like the bible and its really helped me, especially the way you explain things. Anyway, heres my Q:

You say "Problem is, F2 is essentially your imagination. So anything you think automatically comes about all around you. This is darned inconvenient and confusing for a large majority of people. But it is perhaps the easiest non-physical state to Phase into, which is the plus side. "

But what I want to know is you are saying it like its a bad thing to go into F2 and just have fun with your imagination. Is there any negatives to just projecting into F2 for a fun time, like if i wanted to re-enact the dojo scene from the matrix for example. Ive seen you say on other threads that for 5 years you were "stuck" in F2 but is it really all that bad? sounds like alot of fun to me but what im getting from you is that if your looking to do some "real" astral work, you need to get past F2oC. But for those of us that are just starting this whole AP thing, wouldnt F2 be a good place to sort of hone our skills and just have a little fun?

Thanks,

Ben

People often ask, "Well if this stuff is for real, how come its not all over the news, and we dont see an "Astral Projection 101" at our schools, etc.

My thinking is, we are all on a different stage of spiritual development, some are more advanced, and perhaps some are at the earlier stages, as in still learning the basics. Perhaps we are all drawn to this subject as just a matter of teaching ourselves and continuing on down our journey.

Some people might be at different stages, learning lessons that some of us have learned in previous incarnations. They would naturally not give a rats *** about this whole subject, they are too busy learning other valuable lessons.

What do you guys think?

Hello everyone, my name is Ben and i just stumbled on this website yesterday while researching OBEs. I just recently (3-4 days ago) started researching OBE, mostly reading different forums. Mostly astralweb (Which i now view as more of a cult, jeez those guys are weird ;D) and outofbody.co.uk forums. I stumbled here and i have to say this place looks like the most liberal, "real-deal" type forum.

My interest in OBE was sparked recently by a friend and I started to do some research on the web, even going so far as to spend about 45 minutes yesterday trying to project (I'm not sure im ready yet, but i do believe i started to enter focus 10, i remember experiencing the beginning of dreams only to "bring myself back" so to speak, to continue my focus on my heartbeat. It was then that i started to feel totally unproportional, i.e., shrinking then growing, and also the "living inside my head" feeling. Could i perhaps have begun the phasing process or is it just wishful thinking from my first experiance?

Another thing i learned recently from my mother is that my dad(who passed away when i was 11, i am 18 now.) was a very spiritual person who attended some astral projection courses and also was very interested in chakras, etc. Again, this could be wishful thinking but perhaps I am one of the more spiritually inclined people? Maybe I just have an older soul! :)

Anyway, i hope to stick around and continue on my path, thanks for having me guys and good luck to all of you!

P.S. Frank you are really a fountain of knowledge and an inspiration to us all, I've learned more from reading 6 or 7 of your posts than i did from 9 years of Catholic School! Keep it up man, you're doing great work. And that goes for all the "teachers" here, you really do help us all and if it wasn't for you guys there would be alot of us clueless, so thanks guys :)
