I don't know man but the point of rope is to apply mental pressure on your projected body. It's like asking, should i first use my left hand when pulling the robe or my right? it doesn't matter as long as you're applying pressure.

hey john.  i don't know if i can say for sure whether or not your head has to vibrate too.   it definetly has to be relaxed though.  most people usually have their center of awareness right between their eyes, and around their face.  i guess it's because this is where most of your sense are.  the more awareness you have in a certain area, the less likely it will be relaxed.

it seems you are making some really good progress.  keep at it. as an excersize, try and make the vibrations move yourself instead of waiting for them to spread.  you may be able to spread them to any part you want.  if your head is actually tensed up a bit, you may be able to kind of force the relaxation by moving the vibrations.  i always thought it was hard to not be relaxed when i started to feel them.

are you using the rope?  it's a very good way to kind of bull your way  right through everything.  if you create a strong sensation w/ it you should be able to pull your whole body right into some heavy vibrations.

dear John, Have you practiced and practiced the energy work from astral dynamics?  I tried going straight to the exit parts without the energy work and got some movement of my body double (different writers call it different things) but no conscious exit.  I could feel the vibrations more frequently and that was exciting to my progress.  Last week I began doing more of the energy work and yesterday afternoon I laid down to take my nap ( I work 6 nights a week) and at the end of my nap I woke up and got out of bed three times and went down the hall three times before I realized I had left my body on the bed...ya...hooo! It was actually the third time going down the hall that I thought I should check and see if I was awake for real or if I was out of body.  It was the latter.  It was different than the times I leave and go flying at night in my dreams.  This was real time in my house.  I tried it again today but nothing happened.  I desire to get to a point (with lots of practice) that I can leave my body at will no matter what's happening to my physical body. Anyway, yesterday must have had all the right elements going for me to succeed. I also read about the warnings in the book about too much focus on certain chakras and the negative things that can happen if we don't do the energy work.  I'm glad now that I naturally do things like eat great food and gardening, etc. to keep me balanced and grounded so that I don't rush ahead with this adventure before I'm ready.  I hope this helps you some.
