It took me 2 weeks to achieve the vibrations (using Robert Monroes' method in Journeys Out Of The Body). That was about 1991.I was 15 yrs "old".1-3 days later I had My first OBE.

I had no Idea how powerful the vibrations would be until I got them for the first time.I felt like I was channelling a massive electrical current, and it was so strong that I had to fight my way out of it, feeling like every atom was being shook apart.I was frightened, but fascinated.

I do raise energy, although I need to practice more. When I stare at the image,  I feel the rushing sensations corresponding to the movement in the image.I also feel a kind of subtle rumbling in my navel area-and no, I'm not hungry

Hi redcatherine-

I've seen the links, and I've printed off the basic merkaba meditation.I've had problems trying to visualize the basic merkaba structure, but I've just thought of something-

if the merkaba is a natural structure, instead of trying to create the structure, wouldn't it be better to search for it, and to allow it to form in my mind and around me?

This would bring the subconcious mind (which is an incredibly powerful source of creative energy) into the process as well.

we continue to learn too
in my small circle of 9 seekers
we have discovered that the individual merkaba comes first and we are born with a basic monochromatic protective structure that is activated by angels and guides . As children we travel in this until such a time about 16 to 23 years old when the guides say " no more free rides you don't need me to hold your hand anymore when you cross the street . It took me years of fear to get past this i am very ashamed to admit . Then i tried but it was not at all satisfying . I felt dejected and incapable . I discovered that group energy advances and exacerbates the effect we might have indiviually and that we can go much further and faster and higher together.

so it goes

silver cord angel holding hand as child unaware

unaware independent projections with angels or guides by your side

aware of angel holding your hand amd glimpses of some journeys

aware of

ascension channel develops around silver cord and merkaba is discovered

group merkaba is employed

group accesses angel and mahatma made vortiices to ecplore spiritual realms

seeker manifests vortex alone and tours spiritual reams

seeker is capable of individual or group merkaba , and seeker may use a vortex opened by spirit or angels or open  it themselves

seeker learns to ride the ley lines of infinity and to go up down back or fro as needed by will

???? not apparent to us what comes after this

seeker enter vortex with ability to see and communicate with peers

Sorry about the horribly late response!
Incredibly fascinating stuff-riding the ley lines of infinity...

I'm very early on in the process and have no idea how to continue. :?

What I do know,is that I'm 29, so I don't get anymore "free rides".This actually makes a lot of sense to me-for a long time,in my teens and early 20's,I was having many sponteneous astral projections and OBE's,but not anymore.

I'm not sure how to proceed to develop my own abilities.I used to think that it was anxiety meds holding me back, but now I'm not so sure.I may just need to learn to "ride the bike w/out training wheels" so to speak.

I probably need to get off the meds as well eventually-such attachments will only hinder the process.

When I was 15 (14 years ago),I read Journeys Out Of The Body.I practiced "grabbing the vibrations" for about 2 weeks, then *something* shot down out of the sky, went straight into my crown chakra, and proceeded to sweep up and down my body.I felt like every atom in my body was being shook apart-almost like a massive electrocution feeling.
#108
I've had at least a couple of very interesting OBE's in which I shot myself out of my body like a bullet, and soared straight into space in the RTZ.

Something I'll never forget  .

Welcome to News and Media! / Empathy
April 18, 2005, 16:28:14
Thanks for the link.I'm definately empathic.just being in a room w/someone is enough for me to know if their emothions are chaotic or negative. It's very rare that I sense a truly positive emotion from someone-it's usually emotions related to the ego-but when I do sense more peaceful emotions, that person often proves to be highly intelligent, and will often start talking to me spentaneously.

I also happen to suffer from social anxiety.I'm also starting to think that there may be a link to social anxiety and empathy-picking up on the "normal" chaotic stuff that people carry around with them, and project onto others.empathic people are especially sensitive this way.

I tried the Opening The 3rd Eye meditation last night.I'm supposed to practice it for 4 days,24 hours apart each time. This was the first time.

I think I found the  correct hand positions for the mudra. It feels like there's a nerve ending right around where it tells you to press, because I felt a tingling in both hands that got stronger the harder I pressed.I also felt a slight head-rush feeling, and my temples started to tingle.I had to experiment to try and find a tone that resonates in the forehead.I find that "C" works pretty well, but the effect was subtle, and the chackra stimulation could have been caused by my concentration on it.So I suppose I could have imajined it.I'll just keep trying.

One relevant fact I've found out is that there is a direct correlation between colour and tonal pitch. Therefore,if the brow chakra's colour symbol is blue, there should be a certain frequency,or combination of frequencys that naturally resonates as "blue".

The opening the 3rd eye meditation link doesn't work for me-can someone describe the process?
They were changing something at the site today. The link is:
http://www.666blacksun.com/Opening_the_ThirdEye.html
http://www.666blacksun.com/OpeningChakras.html

Thanks 8)    I was wondering if the problem was that the site was down yesterday.

I printed off the Third Eye meditation,to study in my own time (I use library and college computers).Looks interesting.

I'll keep you all posted. :)

I'm not sure what a rock tumbler is, and I don't want to just break it in half, just in case it isn't a geode, but does have a fine specimen locked within the rock.

I think I need to consult an expert-maybe I can talk to someone who teaches geology here at the college :?

I haven't read it yet,but I'm looking forward to doing so :)

And BTW- when's Franks' book coming out? :?  8)

It's nice to know that there's a wealth of knowledgeable people around this forum.

I was out biking/hiking around in the local foothills, and I took a break near some massive boulders.I'm a "rock hound", so I started looking through the piles of rocks.I found one about 8 inches in diameter, that has what looks like from what I can see,to be milky quartz crystals sticking out here and there (there could be others in there as well though).I've got a good field guide about mineral formation, but I don't really want to just start chiselling away, because it looks like a good find, one that I don't want to ruin w/my lack of skill.

anyone know how to do this? :?

There were a few more out there w/other wierd stuff in them, but they were to heavy to bring back all at once,so I'll have to go back tomorrow probably.

Carlos Casteneda wrote an interesting book about lucid dreaming, but I forget what it's called. :?

That is a fantastic post (poem actually), redcatherine.

I've often thought of it as a tool of ascension.

Even the turd can be seen as a metaphor for unrealized forms of conciousness, versus the conciousness of someone who,at least seeks trancendence .

And,in a minor form of syncronicity, there's a child beside me in one of those covered strollers beside me in the library, who cries because it looks as if she's trapped in it,and doesn't even have enough room to stretch her legs. She obviously wants to be free.

Blunt, but realistic metaphors!

Quote from: open_mindThere was a topic like this a little time back, there i posted too with out knowing about floaters and blood veins causing phenomena that could be similar to what i was seeing. So i decided to look into it, wondering if it could be it. Now i know that it is not any eye phenomena at least in that category, all tho i must admit that on a couple of occasions it has actually bin floaters and/or similar i was seeing.

So i wanted to see what the occult said about it. It is supposed to be energy, well it is more of it around living beings and in the sun/moon light so it makes sense. What i see also follows the aura of any object and is often seen ejected/shoot out from trees. They actually light up in a miniature "explosion" when they hit each other, this makes them visible in the dark. but of course this could just be written off as hallucinations.

Fascinating :)

Do you think it could be related to auric sight?

I've used auric sight to see things similar to what you describe-the balls of light shooting off from living beings.I also used to enjoy going out into the woods, and being able to tell which tree was dead, and which was alive,by seeing whether pulsating waves of some kind were travelling up the trunk from the ground.

Or maybe I'm just nuts!  :?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Fear
April 03, 2005, 17:05:47
I think it took me about a decade until I was truly fearless-It can be a very confusing state of conciousness to experience, it's so drastically different than our normal sense of reality. It seems that due to the "unkown" factor,it's absolutely possible to take it too seriously. Most,if not all of us have probably been guilty of this in the beginning. It took me a long time, and a lot of experimenting to learn that there's literally nothing to be fearful of.

BTW-Franks' post was,as usual,incredibly lucid and enlightening. 8)

Quote from: ElewGazing can be done while awake as well. It's a simple vision shift.

Have you ever used the Roshack Drawings (ink blot stuff)? The shift in vision is very much the same. You can even use the 'unfocusing on the dots' as an exercise in training your eyes to do this.

Once you can hold the unfocus, look at your surroundings this way. Things will seem slightly different, and soon you will see things that are not seen with the eyes focused.

I do use this to see in dreaming and find it works quite well for me. I'm not sure how well it would work for others.

The main thing is to hold the unfocus and be able to view 180 degrees, you can see 'nothing & everything'...it's very interesting.

I use that technique when I'm walking sometimes.I try to focus my peripheral vision, looking at everything, but nothing in particular.

Quote from: ZanteAre you sure this wasn't some sort of after image?

How long could you see it?

Definately not an after image-I only saw darkness for about 5-10 seconds, and then It was just a FLASH,and there it was.It startled me so much that it dissappeared.

Afterimages aren't that clear-The image was clearer, and a little more colorful than my physical sight.
#124
I read about it on another website.

You basically just wait until you're really, really tired, then lay down and stare at a spot on the ceiling until you can't stay awake. Then you close your eyes and imajine the view you were just looking at.Imajine it as clearly as possible. If you are tired enough, and are concentrating enough, your astral sight will awaken.

I tried it just once, and all of a sudden the view sprang before my astral eyes.I said "Oh!"  to myself, and it dissappeared.

I mentioned the static thing to my uncle, and he said I was Hallucinating

I've also noticed lines in the sky, since I was about 6 or 7.I mentioned it to my mom,she had no idea what I was talking about.I never brought it up again, but I still see them-attached to objects, and stretching into the sky.

It seems to be completely unrelated to the floaties in the eye. :?
