Heh pardon the pun..

I typed this up for another post and thought it should be read by a few more peeps so here it is in it's nice little thread for your enjoyment.

If you are able to reach the paralysis state and cant quite , get to the next step..maybe you can make some use of these 2 techniques that work just about every time for me when I get to that state.


I'm copy and pasting this from my last post so if its worded strangely .. youll know why..



"I suggest exploring the paralysis state more .. try to do either a "Bust out" or a "slide out" method when you realize for sure that you are in the paralysis state. Heres what I mean..

1) Bust out-- Give everything you've got to franticly thrash your limbs out of paralysis .. you will either

A) Fling your whole astral body in the direction you were thrashing
B) Flind your whole REAL body in the direction you were thrashing
or C) Simply remain in the paralysis state until you get really tired and relax .. which will in turn either bring you back to reality or weaken the paralysis and allow easier movement of your astral limbs..

so basically dont give up .. and when you think you've "ended" the experience .. think twice because you could experience a false awakening. I cant tell you how many times I thought I failed an OBE attempt when I tried the "bust out" method and couldnt break free , then I sat up and mumbled some curse words at myself then woke up AGAIN only to realize I was just OBE a few seconds ago being mad at myself .. AHH! .. Yes its true so think twice .. or 3 times to make sure you failed.. heh..

2) Slide Out---- This method is way more relaxing and works better as you explore the paralysis state even more. Once you get a feel for how it is to break paralysis a little bit whether its one finger free or one limb free, you should be able to do some sort of visual to help you break the rest free.. What helps me is to think of my limbs moving while I'm in the paralysis state , but combine the thought/visual of them moving with actually trying to move them.. Yes you will feel the resistance from being paralyzed but after a bit of practice and maybe 2 to 4 paralysis sessions , you will realize what I'm talking about and notice that a visualization helps to slide right out of paralysis for a full blown OBE."

I was lying in bed this morning after my mom woke me up at 10am to go take some fever medicine and antibiotics. I sat up , rubbed my eyes and they put my head back down thinking about whether or not I felt like getting up so early.. Since I turned off my noisy computer the night before , it was still off at this time so I overheard the ringing in my ears at that time.. What I heard with it was a sound that sounded like... someone hitting a wind-chime in the distance one chime at a time with a somewhat different and subtle tone change each time.. It could have been hypnagogic imagery noise or something but I didnt see any pictures flood my mind.. I suppose this noise came to me because I had just woke up and was still in that sleepy state.. What I decided to do was lie there and mentally repeat the sound over and over and listen to the ringing in my ears .. pretty soon it gave me a feeling of total relaxation and it sorta felt like I had mellowed out and became really calm.. my body started to buzz lightly all over .. felt like a fuzzy feeling and this kept me aware ..

At first I Didnt know what was going on but I decided to keep mentally making the sounds happen until I felt that "surge" of paralysis come over my body a few short times. They were pretty powerful by the way and I just knew I was paralysed .. when I tried to move , it was really easy to move and I noticed that it was my astral body that I took control of. I was overwhelmed with joy as I stood in my room only to notice that the room was different .. it looked like the room of my past which still had old wood panneling on the walls yet had the new tile flooring.. My entertainment system was gone and from there on , I slipped into a less concious dream where the next thing I saw was my parents skinny dipping in a .. new pool built in my backyard (which in reality isnt there either ).  

Besides the wierd stuff that followed , I thought back on the exit and how I was able to induce the paralysis state.. Was it because my body was already sleepy from just being woke up ? I'm not sure.. I've tried to project like that before but to no avail .. maybe listening to these imagery noises and mentally repeating and willing them on could have done something to bring on the paralysis/projection state.

A suggestion to anyone reading this would be to lay down after maybe doing breathing excercises and mediation , try to listen for a sound that just sorta.. comes to you.. and repeat it as comfortably as possibile (without making it a job) and see if you reach the state that I tried to mention above =P

It was a very easy, comfortable , and relaxing attempt which I just did on-the-spot so to speak.

Hello again guys :) If you dont already know , I've been practicing astral projection for about a year now and have had much success. I find that sitting up in an uncomfortable desk or just indian style with my head in my lap and my hands on the back of my neck is the best way for me to project.. You dont need a comfy bed , blankets , nude body , quiet environment , or sleepy body to project. You dont even need to really meditate or control your breathing to project.

Sometimes these things help , but for me all I need is to wake up at 6 am , ride a school bus to school , sit in class  and assume my astral position while relaxing completely and mostly trying to fall asleep while listening to the class talk or the teacher lecture..

My astral position is simply my head facing down towards my lap, my right or left hand palmed on my lips and sitting on one foot or none in my desk. It looks like I'm thinking really hard if you saw me in this position.. it may not be comfortable to everyone , its not comfortable to me but I've grown used to sitting like this in class.

If you want to project like I do , sit like that in an old wooden desk after you wake up early , maybe play some funny sounding music or turn the tv to the news station and start to sleep in that position.. if you can let your body go totally relaxed and not fall out of the chair then you are doing it right. You may have to quirm a bit to achieve the position while remaining completely limp or relaxed. After about 5 minutes or so listening to the music, tv , or chatter from classmates , I feel my muscles sort of get tense and I relax even further .. within a matter of seconds after I relax again , I feel this surge of suble vibration go through my neck and spread to my mid spine area. If I remain relaxed without thinking of it , it surges again  until pretty soon I can just will it on .. at this time I am in the paralyzed state.. thats where I can work my magic.

Once you get inthe paralyzed state either by my position or by your own (whether it be in a bed or recliner or whatever ) , I suggest you try to move out of your physical frame.. Of course you will feel like you cant move but you should notice that some part of you is actually moving.. it kind of feels like your body is a magnet for your astral body and if you move slowly but surely away from your body , you will eventually fully separate and that "magnet" of a physical body no long pulls you and you become fully in the astral. Sight may not come to you until you get a few feet away but it does come and leads to a full blown , real-time astral projection. I hear everyone say that you need to meditate , control breathing , get everything quiet... I can assure you that my environment is quite noisy , and that I'm not very comfortable in my wooden desk.

I have had much less success in a bed and even trying this projection technique in my own home but for some reason , school is the easiest for me.. I failed American History this way so I dont advise you to do it in school although it did provide many fun experiences at the time.

Just last week , my teacher decided to be an A-Hole and not let me sleep in his class cause I was sick (I have fever at the moment). He told me I couldnt sleep in the class and that I should go somewhere else to sleep if I had to .. namely the bleechers right outside.. Well , since I hate the guy and wanted to prove that I could give a crap about his smart attitude and heartlessness , I walked out and slept on the bleechers in my gym.  

The first position I assumed was sitting indian style with my hands on the back of my neck and my head basically touching my ankles .. probably not comfortable to anyone else but if you are tired and sick .. well it worked for me. It was fairly quiet in the gym except for some big fans blowing and a buzzing noise from the old light fixtures. Within minutes I felt a surge of paralysis that I explained above and was able to slowly separate my astral body from the paralyzed physical one.. It feels like SLOOOOOOW MOTION when I do this and always does. I got about a foot away before I was zapped back into my body from giving up and to my surprise I had vision of my surroundings.. I saw my sweater with the 2 draw strings for the hood and the bleechers .. all seemed normal except for the steps of the bleechers.. they were like 5 feet in hight and it felt liek I was about to tumble forward so I moved slightly and realized that I was separated from my body fully and was able to walk around in astral with perfect vision and I focused on making the gym look normal instead of the reality fluctuations I was seeing.  After a little while , things were just fine and I was able to think more clearly than ever before while astral. I even told myself "wow I've never been this concoius out of body before!" and I started to think of some things I felt like doing. One thing I enjoyed that day was doing backflips off the bleachers and floating down to the floor. It event gave me that strange stomache feeling you get when driving over a hill real fast! About a dozen false awakenings and 20 dreams later class was over and here I am now a few days later writing about it.

I hope this post makes you realize that you dont need to do much in order to project. I'm working on finding out just why I can project in class about 90 percent more than in my own home and in much more comfortable and quiet environments! I think maybe I'm more prone to getting sucked into hypnagogic imagery when its quiet and having a noisy environment lets me focus on the noise (people chatting , fans vlowing  etc..).

Heres an overview of the position and steps I go through to have this almost-always successful projection.

1)Go to bed at 10pm to 12 midnight

2)Wake up and ride the bus for an hour bouncing like crazy in the seat from all the potholes and dealing with noisy elementry school students that drive me nuts while drifting in and out of sleep the whole time in the bus seat.

3)Stand up and talk to my friends before the bell rings for school to start...or really I sorta moan,groan,and slur to them..(I'm not a morning person)

4)Sit down in the desk in class and immediately assume my position
(Sit in the desk/chair with both feet on the floor , then take one foot and comfortable sit on it or put it under your thigh so that the circulation doesnt get cut off much if at all , then whichever leg is higher from the foot under it , take that elbow and prop it onto your thigh , bend your body over until you have your chin to your chest and your hand open with your lips propped onto that hand with the elbow still on your thigh)--Just get comfortable any way you can without falling out of the seat once your body is asleep..and sometimes it feels like your slipping out of the chair but your really not ... I had to LET myself hit the floor like that only to realize that it was my astral body slipping out and hitting the floor .. my physical one was safe and sleeping.. I had guts that day..

5)Let your body go completely relaxed and limp and give it less than 10 minutes before you feel that surge or small vibration at least.
To achieve this in a noisy or quiet environment , simply focus on relaxing more and more in that awkward position and it naturally comes to me.


6)After I feel the paralysis surge mentioned above , I try to move slowly and it feels like I'm wrapped up in plastic wrap and I'm trying to stretch it more and more in slow motion..

7)When your a few feet away from your astral body , you should have vision or have had it already (usually I notice I've had it all along). Then go and have fun! I suggest re-entering your body shortly after but dont move it , remain relaxed and you should notice the surge of paralysis kick in in only a few seconds and practice breaking the plastic-wrap paralysis a few more times until you master it.


The only reason I said to use the TV's news channel  or funny music in this position at home is so maybe you have something to picture in your mind while your relaxing .. and the uncomfortable position will keep you from falling asleep completely.

I hope this helps anyone , I'm working on a lieing down method and false-movement technique for astral projection that involves visualization of me getting shot out of a cannon along with breathing rythmatically and quieting the mind but so far I've only had it work 2 times in one night.

Enjoy!---Anyone who is a student in highschool or whatever should really give this a try at least once! But carefull .. its addicting since it worked for me so much lol!

I'm doing a report on a short story and I have to read one that I like...since nothing interests me anymore except for OBEs..I was wondering if anyone knew of a short story dealing with OBEs or some experience out of the body.

If you know of a short story based on an OBE please post it here.. the teacher told me that I had to find an author that doesnt live in the US but I may be able to sway her from that. Please help--thanks

Well guys , this is the second scary OBE I've ever had .. heres how it went.

I was doing some energy meditation kinda like NEW on my third eye chakra and all over my body at the same time while sitting on my bed.. Well.. I fell asleep while doin that and when I woke up , I decided to just lay down and continue the third eye work while falling asleep...

This induced some kinda wierd dream .. I saw a woman , curly brown hair , put up in the back.. she walked out an old mansion and started talking to people who were waiting for her in a car .. she was kinda ranting about something and then the radion came on .. she instantly got mad and said "turn off the radio!" then "TURN OFF THE RADIO!" louder and louder until I heard this bone chilling , blood curdling sound kinda like fingernails running across a chalkboard mixed in with many pieces of hollow piped banging together , it was one solid sound and it was LOUD... the woman's eyes opened wide and her pupils were big and black . they gradually got smaller .. each time the vision of her would flash like someone was taking pictures then the pupils would get noticably smaller with each "flash" until her eyes were wide open and solid white , then she morphed into many different wacky freaky monster type things .. anything that looked like a bad copy of cookie monster to a 6 tentacled alien and back to the woman with white eyes... after the sound went even louder for the last time I woke up buzzing , itching , and tingling.. I sat up ..

It was hard to breathe I spend like 20 minutes trying to pound my chest to see why I couldnt breathe .. it felt like a lung was not working , I walked in my parents room , woke them up , tried to drink water and it was very hard.. We were about to rush me to the emergency room until ... I woke up AGAIN .. yes....all that was a false awakening...

Whats wierd was .. I was laying down with my arms folded on my chest ...it was the same position I woke from in the false awakening.. and now that I think about it .. I dont remember falling asleep in that position .. i was layin on my SIDE last ... whoa..

The chest trouble was probably due to how I had my hands on my chest creating pressure that my astral body sorta sensed..


Maybe the whole nightmare thing was due to me thinking to myself how creepy ( I dont get creeped out like I did last night much ) my room was before I started meditation .. my lights were off .. my plasma ball was lighting up my room with a blacklight kinda glow .. red and green lights all over from my comp and speakers... gothic music playing .. my gothic meditation playlist.. Maybe that brought on the nightmare ..

Just wanted to share that with anyone , and comments? Thanks for reading hehe. I sometimes wake up with tingling and buzzing but it hardly ever turns out to be a false awakening like it did last night.. I'll be more aware next time :)

I find that if I set a time just a few hours before its time to sleep at night to go project , I have more of a chance to get vibrations or paralysis.  I was layin in the bed on my side listening to my family talk and move about in the house the other night.  Listenign to then kept me awake , I was layin on my side and just tryin to visualize what was goin out outside the room. At some point I got a feeling of vertigo which happened several times throughout the projection attempt only lasting about 2 secs.. felt like I just took a spiral dive for a sec.  It would intensify the visualization I was trying to hold by making it seem more real and lifelike ( like if I'm tryin to hold a visualization of my cousisn talkin , I'de feel the dizzyness and the visualization would look real for those 2 secs then go back to normal ).  This was interesting and kept me very aware .. then I thought of my cousin who has just broke up with his girlfriend and instantly I got a visualization of 2 long white sticks with a small orange ball ...orbiting .. them.. I dunno why but maybe it was something symbolic. When the ball spun around the sticks , I sorta made a sound in my head to go along with it ..when the ball spun faster and faster the sound got louder and louder and slowly faded into vibrations in my head ..the same ones that I Feel when paralysis comes on and im abotu to project... then my family opened the door and wanted me to take a ride to blockbusters so we could play a joke on the employees..

Maybe someone can make use of this experience... I seem to only be able to project when im around other people and in a somewhat noisy environment .. picturing what someones talkin about or waht they are doin at the time really helps me to stay aware and bring the vibrations on. I posted this under the energy raising forum also. Since I go Astral too , I thought I'de post it here maybe someone can tell me what this might be.

Ok guys , I dunno if this is energy related or what. Randomly throughout the day I'll feel something that .. starts usually on my chest , spreads to my neck , arms , legs , top of head , shoulders , back ,and even thighs. It comes in waves.. the only description I can give is .. somone has a mist nossel on a hose filled with really hot water and mist only hits tiny pin pricks of my body all over random spots .. this feeling of stinging-ness .. comes in waves .. usually lasting 2 secs , then stoping for a half a sec, then again .. goes  away after about 12 seconds. I dont know what it is but its getting worse by the day.. If I focus on it , it just becomes more itchy and intensified. Yes this stuff stings and then immediately itches afterwards causing me to scratch like I have friggin body lice... hot water and hot environment dont help.. cold water seems to stop it quickly.  It also happens when I strain to pick something up , lift weights or do something strenuous to my body.

What the hell is this !? Is it some kinda medical condition , energy blockages , huge energy spikes? Please help if you have any idea waht it might be, thanks. <--- Posting this in OBE discussions also

Hey again everyone , I've been somewhat successful in getting vibrations but umm.. I dont wanna miss my morning class because I try to go astral so I've resorted to just getting more sleep and trying again at home.  I've been able to go astral almost every morning in class though.


I am curious as to why my eyes seem to want to move up and down rapidly..Picture yourself falling off a building and your facing that building .. the windows of the building are seen but your eyes keep going up and then back down , up and back down , rapidly as if your eyes are focusing on each window as it passes... thats what my eyes do .. UPdown Updown quickly at some point in my relaxation...

I am usually able to create some kind of .. rolling , tumbling , or dizzy flipping motion while my body is relaxed .. this is sorta fun cause it actualy feels like I'm on one of those amusement rides where it flips you all over.. I dont know what to make of this eye fluttering stuff.. what is it ?


Also , do you find it helpful to talk to yourself as your relaxing the body? You know .. like saying "ahhh ok , my legs and all are relaxed , my neck is relaxed and I'm just gonna wait for vibrations.....yup....any time now , just stay relaxed and my body will eventually fall asleep...yup..come on .... " I find myself mentally talking to myself as I do this to kinda keep me focused and not fall alseep but I dont know if it is keeping my mind too mentally active for vibrations to come. What do you guys think?


Basically a recap on what im trying to figure out is.. What is this eye fluttering stuff I experience when I try to create a dizzyness or tumbling and does it help to mentally commentate while your relaxing?

Thanks a bunch , and to all that are having trouble with falling asleep when you do it ... get a LOT of sleep and try when your not one bit tired.. worked for me one night.. I even woke up from a 5 hour nap , tried, got vibrations , ended it then went to sleep. I wasnt tired one bit but I Found out that I can make myself fall asleep after 13 hours of sleep just by relaxing my body enough! Heh...

I am very frustrated! I have been practicing my astral technique for OVER 4 weeks now and I cannot seem to do anything but fall asleep.

I will reach a state where the dream images aright keep flooding my mind and I cannot keep a clear mind for longer than ..say 10 seconds! I really have been noticing how the thoughts sneak up on  you and when you start counting your breaths , theres always some kind of mental movie that goes along with my breathing and without me wanting to actually focus on it , it just comes to my mind. I know that this makes me fall asleep and I cannot seem to project anymore :(

I try to go astral from my bed where I sleep ,  I want to be able to project from that spot since I'll be doing it everynight , I dont wanna just sit up in a chair or anything.

Does anyone know of a way to actually use those dream images to project? When you get real relaxed , you should notice that you cannot help but get a mental image in your mind and that image will make you fall asleep without you realizing it. I found that when I was counting my breaths last night , the breathing made a sort of white cloud image come to my mind and that turned into a dragon , the dragon turned into a dragon character on a game that I play and the game was then just in my mind. Thats how the images can turn into dreams , that fast .. it was a matter of 5 seconds from the white cloud to the game!

Is there anything I could do once I notice that these dream images are coming to me stronger and stronger and I start to realize that some sneak up on me and I notice that it takes me about 10 seconds to say "ohh hey I didnt realize I was focusing on this mental movie! **clears his mind again**"  ..  

What are your suggestions? My relaxation technique of breathing in and out and becoming more relaxed and limp with each exhale will put me to sleep in almost any environment so I know its a good relaxation technique.

Hey guys , I'm still having problems with falling sleep but I find that .. when I am in a noisy environment I can still manage to try to go astral and fall asleep. I notice a few different things now when I try to project.. I will eventually catch myself snoring or for some reason I will feel liek I just got the chills and goosebumps even though I'm not cold at all. This usually happends on my arms or shoulders.

A little while ago I was tryign to go astral and my whole body jumped furiously and it felt like I was a bit out of position on the bed .. it felt like my astral body zapped back in my physical one and had left me feeling as if I was a foot or two to the right of where I was supposed to be lieing down.

Does anyone have any clue as to how you know your in astral or any tips on NOT falling asleep? I have trouble keeping a totally silent mind and I usually use that to get me deeper into a relaxed state but soon fall asleep.

I have been energy training with Psi balls and stuff for about 3 weeks. I am able to push energy all throughout my body now.

How can I use it to project along with a relaxation exercise? Should I bring it all to my third eye or something until I'm not focusing on my other obdy parts and then I'll get vibrations or what... How does it work?[|)]

This is some crazy stuff.. I've been working with pushing energy through my hands for about a week now and I can get others to feel my psi energy within 20 seconds.  I can make it HOT or COLD on command and I can make it hurt , tingle, or shock.  

I even gave some girl a massage and I stopped every few minutes or so to make my energy tingle around her back by focusing my awareness to my hands and visualizing energy trickling down her spine. She was lovin it hehe.. of course I cant prove anything in this post but I was wondering..

What other things can you do with psi ? Is telekisis possible? I want to make them visible in the dark at least. Has anyone else been able to do this stuff? The massages are cool hehe :)[}:)]

I have found these to work on 2 or more occasions after I tried using them purposly... Dont ask me how they work but its intersting to hear my theory heh..


1) Flatfoot technique:
     Sit comfortably in a chair , place your foot flat on a wall so that the only thing holding it up is the friction and make sure that it wont slip off the wall.
If you cant get the mental picture .. just make sure your foot is parallel to the ground and your foot is flat on the wall , held up only by friction.  When you relax , try to have something to listen to , maybe a lecture on tape , music? I dunno what I had was a teacher in class going over a test so I wasnt wanting to fall asleep although I had my foot comfortably on the wall , I was tired , and very aware cause I wasl istening to the test review..
That happened was I began to get very relaxed and I noticed my foot slipped off the wall and when I would think about putting it back up on the wall  , it JUMPED back there instantly .. I thoughti t was wierd but ignored it.. it slipped again .. I was like .. "ok I'll just change positions"  I but both feet on the floot , moved my butt around in the desk and put my head down a bit after I took a quick peek around at the classroom.

When my friend called me name , I opened my eyes , I was back i nthe same position I started in .. foot on the wall and it freaked me out cause the class and writing board had the same stuff on it really. He said I hadnt moved since the beginning of class.

Basically , the marker to let you know that you've fallen asleep while staying awake is .. your foot will feel like its slowly slipping .. I think its cause your subconcious is hoping the friction will keep it up and when you drift to sleep , you become aware that your astral foot started to slip or something cause your constantly having the worry of it slipping in the back of your mind cause theres nothing under it .. its just held flat on the fall from friction.
When you foot slips , you should feel paralysis.. unless it REALLY slipps off the wall or whatever hehe.. in that case , put it back on and check to make sure your not in astral already when you do it.

Let me know how this one goes ..


Technique (2 ) -----This one may seem very wacky cause of the content I'm about to reveal so if your grossed out by hearing other people's sexual stuff , I suggest you not read further. It worked 4 times in one night and I thought someone might be able to develope this to a better techinique.

The Masturbation Technique--- Oddly named ? .. just listen..
I was really tired one night and decided to relax with my breathing and everything in my bed .. I then got a very clear image of me walking outside somewhere and then I began to sit somehwere peacefull and started to masturbate in this dream .. ( I have VERY wierd dreams so this was not surprising lol )  Wierd thing was .. it felt so real and I was aware that I was still in bed imagining it .. I  stopped thinking of it and saw blackness behind my eyes , felt the vibrations from my neck again and experience paralysis .. I got up in astral , look around my room and decided , I better try that technique again but start off relaxing and imagining the masturbation thing again.

I relaxed , breathed , all that .. then began to imagine that I was masturbating .. almost immediately I felt as if I really was .. the feeling is better than actually doing it and I tried to move after I "felt" it  and was paralyzed .. I did this 4 times that night and every time I began to actually FEEL it , I was in a paralyzed state.

I dont know how to explain this one but I could have turned it into a wet dream conciously lol .. maybe this is how  Sexual Tantra goes ??

I later failed this techinque but woke up to an orgasm... so .. if you fail , you still get something good out of it hehehe.



I suggest you guys try the first one since , all I really did was try to fall asleep by listening to my teacher and thought it was aggrivating that my foot was slipping cause I was so comfortable .. only to realize afterwards that it was in astral.. one day a few days down the line , I did it again remembering my past experience and was ready that time to realize I was in astral when my foot slipped and did the NEW energy ways while paralyzed .. jeeeez it made so much vibrations come over my body as I pushed awareness to my neck..

Can someone explain to me why trance may be good for projection and what are some of the signs that you are in a trance and maybe what to do when you reach it? I've heard so much about trance I sorta forgot exactly what it was..


Also , I reach a state of relaxation where my body begins to jerk , mostly my hands and arms recently .. any thought that sneaks up on me ( hypnagogic imagery) while I'm relaxing , has a tendancy to jerk one of my limbs and it sorta goes with the mental image that just came through . ( i.e. I saw myself with a white sheet over me playing liek i was a ghost and when I raised my arms up in that mental movie , my real arms sorta jumped up with the imagery )

I notice at some point that my breathing and mentally saying IN and OUT creates a sorta mental movie that hides kinda in the background of my mind ad I'm breathing .. I dont know how to explain it ..  while I'm saying in and out  , I get something that comes to mind and goes along with the IN OUT that I'm saying ..  like..once when I was counting my breaths , I saw christmas lights popping up on a string with each count... that sorta stuff .. it just starts to go along with whatever I'm conciously doing and sneaks up on me while I'm relaxing. What kind of progress am I making?  I usually fall asleep after this but when someone wakes me up , I feel like I have been awake the whole time even thought hours may have passed! Its very wierd ...

Hey everyone , sorry  havent posted in a while but I kinda screwed up my comp and I'm getting it back wednesday...

I have had a lot of success with my projections.. I successfully got outo f my body 4 times in a row in 4 days straight.  I would wait until the hypnagogic imagery comes to me and once its really strong and I start to get sleepy , I would go along with the imagery with the intent on waking up shortly after my astral body exits.. When I black out , I notice that a part of my body has started to float and from there , I could tear myself out of my body and explore my room.

It worked VERY GOOD for about a week.. but now .. I hardly notice the hypnagogic imagery anymore and I cannot do that method .. I dont know whats wrong with me right now.. I need the astral more than ever now so I could get some answeres to how my near future is going to turn out.

My problem is that , I can relax so very well and feel my body go fairly numb ..(takes 20 seconds usually). I cant seen to .. erm...hitch a ride so to speak with my hypnagogic imagery anymore cause it fades into other things too much or I just dotn get the imagery strong enough anymore.. Has anyone ever had this problem?

What do you guys do once yo realize that your body is numb and your getting this feeling of "fluttering behind you eyelids" and your breathing may start to get faster and shorter for a bit.. ALSO my body will jerk and sometimes my arm will jump across the bed from a jerk.. It actually moved a foot away from my side and I noticed it .. It jerked for no reason at all I guess.. What is this state and what should I try different now that my methods wont work anymore hehe..

Sorry for the off topic post here but I'm trying to find some good music to relax to .. maybe even listen to this stuff while I do the NEW energy ways. It really relaxes me and takes me to a .. nice comfy place when I trance with it.  

The music I'm downloading right now has a lot of  ooooohs  and ahhhhhhs like .. Chorus Oohs and Ahhs.  

An example of it is .. The Changelings-Seasons of Mist.
Some others are .. pretty much all the Gregorian Chants songs.
The women that sing in the songs I like usually sing with high pitched voices and have a lot of violins and synthesizers(sp?). When the guys sing , they are lower and sort of create a background sound while the music plays.

If anyone knows what type of music this is .. whether it be , celtic music, Chants, Monk music, whatever please let me know so I can get some songs.  I love celtic music but I've never found many songs that have all the OOhs and Ahhs in them and I'de love to find more of it!

Last night I was doing my breathing and counting practice and noticed that I really started getting distracted by the hypnagogic imagery and also I dozed off like 2 times but caught myself you know.. Then all of a sudden .. when I caught myself blacking out or dozing off whatever you wanna call it , I felt like I was not experiencing much hypnagogic imagery at all , my breathing was very VERY easy...

I wasnt distracted .. it felt like I had a VERY clear mind and I guess my body felt liek I was made of a thin sheet of paper .. I thought I was in astral mostly cause I had such a clear mind so when I tried to move , the heaviness of my body came back and I sat up .. still trying to figure out if I was in astral or not .. I pushed my hand against something in my room and it didnt go through so I knew i was just awake.. But what was that feeling?

What was the feeling of EASY almost effortless breathing , CLEAR as a bell mind and I dunno .. a paper thin body feeling?  Was it a deep level of trance or was it me in astral for a period of time?

I have felt full body paralysis maybe 3 times that I can remember. Twice in chemistry class when I was falling asleep in a relaxed position while listening to my teacher go over a test review. This morning , I was ready for it and didnt freak out when it happened. I had my foot propped up against a corner of the lab counter or something and it felt like it was slipping down and about ot hit the floor , my arms felt like they were coming un-crossed but when I went to fix them , ( put my foot further up the counter and fold my arms back up ) they would instantly feel liek they were back to the right spot.. the more I didnt think about them , the more they seemed to slip outta place and if I let them , it would feel liek I fell out my desk! This made me wake up cause I thought I was about to really fall... I decided to wake up and look at the board and see what the teacher was writing.. it was fulled with a huge equation so I told myself "ohh no , I have no clue what shes talking about..Ill just got back to sleep" Keep in mind though that when I thought I had woke up that time , I put my foot on the floor instead of putting up against the wall where I had it ...when I woke up again about 3 minutes later .. my foot was back on the wall and the board looked totally different.  

I think that was false awakening..It didnt feel liek I had fallen asleep at all..

When I was first noticing that my limbs felt like they were slipping , I noticed that I couldnt move again.. I didnt try to move too hard as to wake myself up totally so I realized I had full body paralysis and started doing some energy raising stuff to see what results came over me.  Keep in mind too that when I noticed the full body paralysis , everytime I would try to move , I would hear a LOUD HARD buzzing sound emitting from my neck..When I imagined pushing energyfrom my hands to my arms,  shoulder , then to my chest and up to where the buzzing came from , It would just intensify.

What could I have done to project like this ? It erks me to know that I thought I had woke up but it was false hehe... I even checked to see if my physcal foot was still where it should have been and it wasnt so that let me think that it was a real awakening.

what do you guys think?

Hmm.. This should be some easy questions that I just have to get clarified before I start working on my energy building.  

First , I'll tell you why I'm interested in building my energy up. Mostly , astral projection.. secondly though , I found out about Ki balls or .. Psi balls .. I'de like to experiment with those things. I am starting to understand how hard telekinesis is and I hope to achive something with it.

I'm not sure how to raise energy though .. is it through visualization? Or is it through feeling parts of your body like .. trying to feel your toes. . then bringing that awareness to your angles .. , shins .. knees .. thighs .. and higher ? Is that all you do really is focus on those parts of your body and your energy will start moving in your body?  I'm going to get more into the NEW energy ways but I'm having trouble understanding how the energy is actually being built by doing those thing? By body awareness.. I've only gotten a quarter of the way through it.  Also , I read things about , if you stand up , and imagine roots from your feet going into the earth ..its kinda like being recharged or something , is this supposed to cause and tingling , warmth , coldness ? I dont know.  

If anyone could sum up how energy is built and what activities accomplish it , I'de really aprecciate it.. I try to make Ki balls and Psi balls just for fun and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to feel my awareness of my body up until my hands and imagine that awareness leaving through my palms to create the ball or what .. Same goes with astral projection.. when I lay down and imagine my body awareness going to different parts of my body ... how is that raising energy ? Or .. is that just doing somethign with the energy you already have? I guess I'm not sure how to use the energy I have or how to gain more of it to increase my Max .. so to speak.  I think this is a vital key to my projecting .. if I could do energy raising up until I get vibrations , I may be able to get a better understanding of the exit sensations.

The 2 books I think i'll end up getting are  below
In the book by robert peterson.. is the online edition the same thing as in the book ? Or is the online edition missing a few chapters or is it just a breif overview of all the chapters ?         And does the part about energy raising in "Astral Dynamics"go along with the NEW energy raising that Robert Bruce explains in the document on this site or did he change it up totally? I think I read something about that.. I could have been mistaken.

Hey guys , I've been progressing quite well until recently... I seem to be able to get hypnogig imagery quite easy.( is that how you spel it !?) Anyway , I'll be laying in the bed and after listening to the BWGEN program for a while , I'll notice different random mental movies push their way into my head. Usually , I'll fall asleep after this happends but I can ignore them a lot easier than before.. My question is .. what should I do upon seeing these mental movies and realizing ( hey my mind is trying to make me dream..I'll fall asleep soon).  I'll literally say to myself... hey! Hypnogig imagery .. wooohoo. I'm not sure what I should do after this but another thing I can achieve quite easily is the feeling of my body being totally numb .. I mean .. I'll know and feel wehre my hands are ( by my side ) but I cant feel the texture of my bed or anything. I'll just feel my body there but nothing else.. And also , the cord for my headphones usually rests on my chin while I do this and after a while ,  I wont even feel that anymore ( even when I try to feel it ) .. is this mind awake body asleep ? If it is .. I dont have physical paralysis ... when I try to move .. I'll just move.  

I'm not sure how to enduce physical paralysis or anything. The vibrations dont come to me often.. But the feelings of my body being numb and the hypnogig imagery come very easy.. within 15-20 minutes of relaxation.  

Is this a good sign or what ? What should I do after I notice the numbness of my body and the hypnogig imagery trying to make me fall asleep? Thanks guys, and please if anyone knows how far along I am in my progress , please let me know.  I seem to only have an OBE from .. wierd situations ( i.e. when I give up lol )

This was pretty wierd.. I had this experience once before but didnt do anything with it. Last night I was actually able to turn this into a .. lucid? I duno what it was. Anyway , I was lieing on the bed after a shower at 2am.. (same thing I did last time it happened) I tried to listen to the brainwave generator but then took it off aftera while.  I decided just to go to sleep.  I turned on my side (same thing I did last time)  and I thought back about last time. The last time this happened , I thought about floating to the corner of my room and I got a sort of .. vibration in the back of my neck , sorta where my neck meets my shoulders.. I would get this .. feeling or whatever , when I tried to feel like I'm floating to the corner of my room .. What wierd was , I could actually seethe room pretty well with my eyes closed.. I dunno if it was my imagination or some kinda astral vision. I'm not sure.  When I tried to float to the corner of the room that I saw , I would
get the vibrations in my neck.

Last night the same exact scenario happened but this time.. I tried to make the vibrationslast but keeping the floating sensation.. it lasted a while.. and each time I was able to make it last a little longer.Finally I was able to make it last so long that I dint have to focus much on it. This created a feeling that I was rolling out of the bed.. (did I mention each time I
got the vibrations that my body felt limp .. and when it stopped , It tensed up again to normal) anyway .. the rolling out feeling made me feel wierd cause I was worried about if it was real or not.. I didnt wanna really fall out my head and hurt myself so I made a decision.. either let it happen or stop it.. I let it happen.. It felt like I fell and landed on some pillows  or something.  I still felt like i was sliding sideways ... then vision came completely to me (the whole time I had seen black) and I noticed I was floating above my floor about
2 feet. I managed to stop the .. sliding.. then I started spinning in circles in one spot.. after I managed to stop THAT , I floated up to where I had a candle lit and a card  face up. The card was a 10 of spades .. , while floating up there , I started circling in my  room ( against my will ) and it was quite wierd.. I noticed some things that werent real..there were 3 cards on my nightstand .. 2 standing up and the 3rd on top of it like a card castle. I realized that things were getting wierd and i couldnt stop the wide
circling  I was doing.  I tried to feel for my body and when I did , I woke up .. or so I thought..the candle was not lit anymore.. I felt it really hard to walk over to check my card..stumbling a lot..then I saw that the card was something different.. so I thought .. hmm weird.I went back to the bed and layed down.. then I woke up FOR REAL and the candle was lit again.. I didnt know what was goin on.. I decided to check it in the morning instead of
playing out that scenario again hehe.  When I checked it .. the card was still different and thats when I noticed that thigns werent in the same place they had been in my .. ludid dream or whatever.

I'm thinking that in my dream , I thought it was a real projection and I didnt think to try anything else other than to look at my card to check for validity.  

Can anyone tell me what the vibrations in my neck was? Why it happened ? What it means?Anything about it please. I'm trying to figure out what that was all about.

I also got a feeling of thinking with 2 sides of my brain , liek the left side was asking itself"Hmm..whats making the vibrations" the right side was trying to float to the corner of the room.I dont know whats up with that but thats the only way  I could explain the feeling.  

Can someone clarify these questions for me?
