So other than the design of the shape and that it isolates you from the outside world, I don't see how its any different to aid someone to project? maybe we missing something I don't know.

I have read about something the IAC (international academy of consciousness) is doing which is a dome which causes you to project. How do you folks suppose something like this works? I can't really find a lot of info on it. Here's a brief vid on it.

Would you say phasing was a good technique in general for beginners?
#104
Any other example of what another 1 of you guys would phase into if you using the technique that way? what would you try your best to imagine.

I'm saying... just feel it out.  Do what you feel is best and easiest for you.  :)

K what I think I will do is lay there on my back and gaze into the darkness of my closed eyes and try and imagine a different perspective image of my bedroom for which I could perhaps try and move my consciousness to.

You actually don't need anything to phase into.  :)
I mean, sure you can use whatever you want... we call that doing a Mental Rundown.
But, there is already a nature "default" area of consciousness you can phase into... it's called Focus 21.  It's just an area of 3D Blackness... that comes before the area we "dream" in.

However, you can also bypass this entirely and move into somewhere else.  Even if you're doing a Mental Rundown, you still might end up somewhere completely different.  It depends upon how focused you are on that Mental Rundown.

My usual Rundown I did was me walking along a beach nearby where I live... well, quite often, something else would quickly slip into my train of thought, like me roller blading, and BAM!  I'd find myself doing that for a split second... then my physical eyes would snag a glimpse and it'd be over.

But anyways, my point is that you don't need anything specific to phase into... you're heading into your imagination, so there will either be something there or there won't be.  If there isn't, just visualize/think of something and it'll manifest.  :)

K so you saying you don't need to really imagine anything at all but just gaze into the blackness? I think it would still be easier just to try imagine something or it may take ages or maybe I might not see anything in the blackness.

In order to phase you need something to "phase into" but am trying to pre-select a location in my mind to think about to try end up projecting into. I have also thought maybe it would be easier if I tried to imagine me in the same room and perhaps seeing myself laying there.

You guys think there's a best environment to phase into in your mind? pls give an example maybe of somewhere you have phased into from imagination and were able to stay conscious in. Thx.

I have a friend who said she went to bed on clean sheets one night and dreamed about being on the beach, and when she woke up there was a little pile of sand on the sheets below her hand.

Sorry but did you really believe that?

I don't really understand that post. Is the guy saying HE projected from deep hypnosis or he astral travelled to his mother in law to get her to project from hypnosis??1 its a little confusing.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Self-Hypnosis?

So could Self-Hypnosis be used as a tool to help get to the right mind state to project from? what is your ideas on using this. I have been considering this for a time.

I just have the intention to go into the portal and sometimes I have found myself in a scene that looks like space or just different scenes while being completely aware.

Thx for your info. Curious here: When you say "found myself in a scene" you mean you have suddenly shifted consciousness and are now in the astral? you find its the same experience and feelings in the astral than with any other method for getting there?

I trying to phase and am a little boggled at how you are supposed to do it correctly. So are you supposed to just imagine something to phase into, then picture that in the darkness behind your closed eyes to eventually enter into or is this wrong? do you try picture it in your mind and it shows in the darkness then you can eventually make the transition? pls someone experienced tell me the very basic fundamentals of how to phase and pls don't just give me a link, could you give me a basic brief step by step guide on how to do this. Also if you could, please could you give a brief example of a good sure phasing OBE experience.

I just want to make sure the way I am trying to do it is right and what to expect. I have been told different things by people who I talked to in person about this subject and so many say different things.

Hello guys!

I just wanted to share my latest projection which happened on an airplane  :-o

I was on a 12 hours transatlantic flight.. so i had a lot of time to sleep, meditate, do energy work, etc..
Anyway, somehow all these actions got mixed together and i was able to pull an OBE! i exited my body, left my seat and started floating between the seats and passengers of the plane!

It was a very short and weird obe (or at at least i assume it was an obe cause i wasn't able to validate anything).
Also, on top of visual sight and sound, on this experience i was also able to taste! and it was disgustingly bitter!!

That's pretty much it.. thanks for reading!  :-D

How real did it feel? would had been awesome if you went outside the actual plane and saw the plane flying through the sky

So I guess to be in Theta would be enough to be letting go. Only then can you project.

The work is the "relaxation" and the "disassociation".

Well if you are saying the "work" is to relax and dissociate then really there is no work if you get me lol because to relax for example your not working but just letting go.

They put you into a receptive state of mind.
But you still have to do the work!  You can't just turn them on, lie there and POOF, project.  Won't happen.
I highly suggest you listen to them in order... at least the first CD.
Do each wave as many times as it takes for you to master it before moving onto the next one.

What would you define as the work? also I am confused as to when you would know you were ready to project.
#117
One thing that's always kind of confused me with these hemi-sync/binarual beat recordings is are you supposed to actually think about attempting to OBE whilst listening to them or are you meant to just "switch off" and not think about anything in particular or are you supposed to focus on trying to exit your physical? I mean do you trust the hemi-sync itself to get you to "lift off" when your in Alpha/Theta?

One more thing about the Monroe hemi-sync series: do you have to listen to them in order? I mean could you go straight to the CD that deals with conscious exits? I ask because there seems to be many CD's in the Monroe hemi-sync series.
#118
K ignore this. Seems the original post story was deleted and I was going to ask a Q on it. Nevermind. Sorry admins.

#119
K so I was listening to binaural beats and laying there with the intention of sleeping and maybe entering mind awake body asleep seeing as I knew as long as the binaural sounds were playing I could not obviously really sleep no matter how much I was drifting off and hoped I could get my body asleep. I lost patience after about nearly 45 minutes but noticed a vivid flash of something in the darkness of my closed eyes, it seemed to be something like a field or something.

Do any of you think this was some kind of sign that I am closer to maybe an astral projection? ty.
#120
Just some questions here for experienced people pls.

Is there a general method you can use to get the vibrations to exit from? how do vibrations generally come about?

What do they generally feel like are they very obvious? what does it feel like trying to exit from vibrations?

Thanks.
#121
Can this help bring on an OBE?!? seems it could be useful.
#122
how does it work pls.
#123
How does this technique work to help you OBE? pls try and reply if you have used it.
#124
Some Q's about Theta state as I am wanting to enter it as it seems alot is possible in this state including OBE's.

So what does Theta feel like? is it really effective to go into OBE once strongly in Theta? anyone know the quickest way to get into Theta?

Please reply if your experienced with this state pls or know enough about it. Ty.

K about AP positioning: is it just as possible to astral project from being on your side? seems to me alot of people who AP try and attempt to achieve this while being on their back. Can you try and induce an AP while commonly going to bed on your side? (before actually trying to sleep)

Also if it possible; is there a technique that tends to work better for people trying on their side? thx.
