My suggestion is that you continue to try this same technique for 2 weeks to a month and see what happens. You can certainly expect this to happen over night but don't be disappointed if it doesn't because these things take time and practice, sometimes years of practice.

I started on my AP journey 4 months ago and I have had a dozen or so consciously induced OBEs however the funny part is that I can have an OBE one night with a specific technique and then the very next night try the same thing and have no OBE.

I think that maybe you did have an OBE but you just don't remember it because the physical side of your conscious was stronger than the astral side of you consciousness and the memories of you experience simply didn't get written to your physical brain. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is what's happening to  me as well.

Please continue to post you progress here, I am interested in your results.

Hi SilverMe,

Welcome to the Astral Pulse forum.

I guess this all depends on the way you look at the question. I am sure that some will say yes and then others will say no.

I think that yes the soul can become pregnant in more ways than one. Perhaps if you consider reincarnation as being real then the act of the soul existing between death and life with it's intent established on and waiting to enter a body on earth would be viewed as pregnant. Perhaps a physical pregnancy itself should be considered a pregnant soul unless you consider people to be without souls.

These things as well as all other things in life a subjective and created by intent and the creativity of the soul.

Anyway, hope you find the answers you are seeking.

This sounds like "Mind-Split". I was just reading about this in Astral Dynamics and it's basically caused when you have an out of body experience while you're awake and you actually have dual consciousness and see through you astral eyes and physical or subtle body's eyes at the same time.

I am sure some of the more experienced people in this forum can expand on this for you.

Hi Dpatt,

Welcome to the forum.

I feel like I should chime in here since I am only 4 months into learning AP. This very thing happened to me on some of my first attempts but is no longer happening so I agree with Stookie that it's simply a transient side effect that "beginners" experience. It was for me anyway.

Hi ancient_one,

That is interesting, Isn't that called a teleporting OOBE? I may be wrong.

I tend to like the rushing sounds, vibrations and sleep paralysis. It seems to highlight the fact that there is a clear transition from waking conscious to something else. Perhaps once I gain more experience I will see things differently but it's fascinating at this point in "time". I guess the same thing would apply in reverse order as well, I would like to experience the transition from OB back to physical awareness as well.

I share the same curiosity that newmethod has regarding how you pull this off.

#106
Hi newmethod,

I hate to sound like a real prick but when I reach sleep paralysis I just simply ask the universe for energy (the vehram array once) and the vibrations immediately start and I can then just roll out of my body. I am going to send you a PM with some information that may help you.

I never really think much about the process while it's all taking place, I just find that I instinctively know what to do.

Hi Pyro21,

My Wife wife watches that show too so therefore I watch it as well.

What they say on the show falls into the same category as AP. I don't think there has been any serious scientific studies done on either so both are inconclusive.

Nobody really knows if it's possible to pull energy from objects via by what they say on Ghost Hunters or while out of body. People on this forum will have different subjective views of what's possible but when it comes down too it, it's just an educated guess.

Hi Sabrina,

I just started experimenting with Astral Projection 4 months ago and actually read a chapter in Robert Monroe's first book "Journey's out of the Body" that goes into some detail about Astral sex. He explains what he thinks it might be and what it feels like. He almost describes it as some sort of universal greeting, sort of like a hand shake. Now in his later books he talks about how twisted sex on Earth has become and how far away it's drifted from what it actually is when out of body.

I just recently (a few days ago) had a woman walk up to me in astral and ask for sex. Maybe I should have tried it and seen what happened but I was to intent on what I was set out to do and refused.

When I first started AP I thought that sex was a waste of time, especially in comparison to something as profound as leaving the body, but as I continue learning about AP and am starting to wonder if sex may be something bigger and more intertwined into the fabric of existence than I am aware of.

I wish I had more of the subject for you but I am very new at AP.

Hi DerekG,

Welcome to the forum.

Sound to me like you had a cool experience. So what exactly do you need help with? Are you wanting to push the experience further or are you scared and want to prevent it from happening again?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Hello!

Hi BeyondTheBounds,

Welcome to the forums.

I was too raised in the Roman Catholic Church, actually went to a private Catholic elementary and high school. I guess they hid Astral Projection from me because I don't really remember the subject ever coming up.

I have been agnostic for about 4 - 5 years now as well and just 4 months ago started trying Astral Projection. I have had about 15 OBEs in my 4 month span of trying and I am no longer agnostic. I am basically shifting my beliefs daily based on new experiences and it's just great.

I look forward to hearing about your experiences and would like to say thanks for coming here and sharing.

Best regards

I have breathing problems myself so I can relate. I think that breathing problems may be actually hindering my ability to project more than I do, bu that's just an assumption at this point as I am still very much a beginner.

When you say you are breathing weird, what do you mean by weird?
#112
I shouldn't even respond to this, but I guess I will.

Are you asking just a general question or are you a Christian that's scared that you will burn in hell if you intentionally self induce an out of body experience? This would make your question valid at least.

I grew up in a catholic church and school and I don't remember very much mention of astral projection. I would occasionally hear stories of people being possessed but I never gave it much thought. I have since thrown out all belief systems in my life and take an objective approach to everything rather than taking someone else's opinion and building my life around it.

So I ask again, why does it matter what someone else thinks about the act of astral projection, unless of course you are trying to get some helpful advice?

Hi KRDecade,

Welcome to the forum.

Quote(I've had trouble with sleep paralysis before..yuck)

Do you mean the trouble was that you entered sleep paralysis or did you mean that once you entered sleep paralysis you couldn't exit?

Sleep paralysis is the same thing as mind awake body asleep and is the state that you want to be in to achieve Astral Projection. It's a good thing.

Regarding the experience you had, good job. You were less than a second away from exploring the astral plans. Just don;t chicken out next time :)

I just got a kick out of the term "Ghettoblaster". LOL. I have not used or seen that term in years.
#116
Hi Pikmin_Fan;

When I get heavy that means my body is entering sleep paralysis which is the gateway to out of body experiences. I would suggest that if you are feeling heavy, relax deeper and you should fall into full paralysis and then you can simply pull in some energy and exit.

I have never walked through a mirror while out but I would assume it would be highly subjective.

Best Regards David

I think it's actually "sooo" on intake and "hum" on exhale.

Space exploration is definitely high on my list of things to do when I am better at AP. :). Although I have not experienced this yet I have little doubt in my mind that it's possible.

When your belief is that human existence is just a local manifestation of the universe itself how could it not be possible?

You may need to change your view of what your are.
#119
Hi mr_karl,

Glad you stopped in. You have come to the right place.

I actually found this place about 3 to 4 months ago when I first started trying to have my first OBE. My experiences though, seem to be much different than yours as I was able to have a induced conscious OBE a week after beginning to try.

I think that you have the right attitude and it's what I tell people all the time which is skills don't just show up overnight and that we have our entire 'hopefully long' life to learn this.

When I first started trying I had to seriously convince myself that it was possible even though on inside I was going through denials and almost laughed out loud about how ridiculous I must look. Once I had that first OBE all of the changed and I realized my life would never be the same.

Regarding the feeling, I did feel something similar when I first started trying, it was almost as if I was learning to do something that I forgot how to do a long time ago and that someone was speaking to me saying it's almost time to relearn. Strange how I have this feeling but at the same time feel so awkward about trying it. I guess that's just a byproduct of our society's conditioning.

I think the best way to remember dreams is to repeat affirmations throughout the day and while falling asleep that you will remember your dreams.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards

David

That's awesome!

I wonder where the Russian people you met were at? Maybe they were somewhere between death and reincarnation or perhaps they were in dream state as well be will have no memory of meeting you.

Great post.

Hi Slix,

So I think you have pretty much established that you are not a Christian. Your next mission may be to find out what religion you fall into.

The point in my previous posts is that you may very well go and begin searching for a religion that best suites you OR you can simply choose to throw all religions out and follow your own path.

I can't say this for sure but I bet that if you choose a different religion you will end up experiencing something or hearing something that contradicts your current beliefs and then you will either spend months trying to make sense of it and fit the contradiction into the new religion or you will throw it out too.

I personally choose not to beat myself up like that and have thrown out all religions and follow my own path. I am not saying that I can't draw for religions for knowledge I am simply saying that I am not following them.

I use ear bud headphones and an ipod Nano for the timer :). Works great.

Hi Bellend_1010,

Nicholas Newport (Previously known as Matt Jones) created a series a videos called "How To Lucid Dream" on the saltcube.com website. The videos and instructions may possibly be the best Astral Projection instructions ever made from a practical application point of view.

Within the last month he released Lucidology 102 which is Volume 2 and it builds on the previous saltcude.com videos and can be purchased at http://lucidology.com/ which also includes the first videos.

I bought both but I think there are some free sample videos out there. I highly recommend the videos but i don't recommend using them as your only source. This is not the definitive guide or anything, it's just very very good.

Best regards

David

Yes, this was a modified saltcube technique.

Hi TurulMadar,

Quote(Jeh....Witnesses) are more "pushy" than others, doesn't mean that all religions are bad or are only out to make money (which is a ridiculous statement). Come on DB, thought you'd be a little more considerate
.
The list was not all inclusive. Not all religions are there to make money, I know this because my brother is a Catholic priest and he is not in it for money.

Notice that I also mention that religions are for:

Quoted) Attempt to understand life / universe / existence.
e) Make people feel better.

d and e falling into the same reason why people astral project.

My point was not to disrespect religions but to point out the limiting nature of religions. This is my opinion based on years of trying to fit science into religion, religion into science, etc etc..

I seriously question all things equally including astral projection however there is a huge difference between  religion and projection. Astral Projection provides a means for you to explore freely while religions hold you within the confines of another group of people's beliefs and if you stray (if you are being honest with yourself) you are not that religion anymore. I am to the point that I question so much and so freely that I could never be part of any organized religion again.

I apologize if I offended anyone.

Best Regards

David
