Pretty incredible, I especially liked the "Spectravision" images by Sylvan Starbough Rife. Good stuff.

Well, I'm not that great at interpreting dreams, but I have a general idea of what it could mean. I have my analyzation skills from english class when analyzing works of literature, and I use them for my own life and my dreams.

But anyways, I think your dream is just to show you that hiding from your problems wont get you anywhere, and will just leave you all tied up [;)]. When you stand up and confront your problems, you will have better results. Maybe you have a big problem you're trying to deal with right now in your life, and this dream may be trying to teach you a lesson.

Adept_of_Light, wow, thank you. You definitely seem to know what you're talking about. I have a much better grasp on the concept of karma now. There's nothing you said I can disprove, and the null action = nirvana is a new theory I've never heard before.

goingslow, I think that if that doesn't sound that great, and doesnt make sense to us, we need to realize that once we surpass this physical dimension, the logic/thinking we do here no longer applies. Think about that. That's why I cannot disagree with theories like this one.

This is real life you're talking about, not dreams, correct?

Salvia Divinorum. I'm so interested in trying it out, after reading everything on sagerwidom.org. I'm getting ready to order some, and I'm talkin to people who want in. I talked to a kid at work today, said he did it before. Smoked a powder, which i assume was just grinded out leaves. He said something differnt from what I expected though. He simply started laughing at everything, for about 5min, couldnt stop. I think this had something to do with the placebo effect, I think he surpressed the real effects.

For those who don't know, salvia is the most natural drug you'll ever hear about. It induces spiritual experiences (inner journeys, astral experiences) and is usually associated with profound realizations and life lessons. It's cheaper than marijuana, non habit forming, and it's legal (except in australia...)! I'm very curious, the website, www.sagewisdom.org, has got me way too interested not to try it. If I do have an experience, I will share in this forum (in a new topic).

gerble king, I think i'm getting what you're saying. You're saying basically that like attracts like? if you were to help people, people owuld help you. And this could apply to the many aspects of personality as well?

Epsilon, same here. Except additionally to the longer length of them, I'm also getting more deja-vu's. They're usually anywhere from 10-30seconds now. Very weird experiences. I have the time to try to think what happens next, and sometimes I know, sometimes I don't. I don't know though, deja-vu's are pretty complicated, so i'm not sure what to think of em. I just like to see them as some sort of connection with the spiritual world somehow.

I have also wondered that. But maybe there is kind of a warning notice when you access that information. Kind of like all those stories you hear about time travelling and not touching anything, as it could disrupt the future/past. Maybe taking this knowledge into the world would be a little TOO groundbreaking. I've never projected or anything, so these are just educated guesses.

I have a similar view of my life. I believe in fate, and that everything is going to "drop in place" for me. I live life loosely, kinda like I'm just going with the flow of everything. If something sounds fun, I'll probably go and experience it. I dont believe in fate to the extent that I don't need to do anything at all, but I believe in it enough so that when something big happens, I won't really worry about it, just deal with it. I believe if something's meant to happen, there'll be some sign thatll be enough to convince me into it.

So there's my philosophy on the flow of how our lives work. Thank you.

I believe Tool, although interested in the occult, do enjoy playing with their fans a little. I think they assume that most people are going to be able to sense the rediculousness in some of their postings. I think the only reason they put that particular post up on the site was because it was funny to them that someone actually sent that email.

Tool- Reflection

"I have come curiously close to the end, down
Beneath my self-indulgent pitiful hole,
Defeated, I concede and
Move closer
I may find comfort here
I may find peace within the emptiness
How pitiful

It's calling me...

And in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping
The moon tells me a secret - my confidant
As full and bright as I am
This light is not my own and
A million light reflections pass over me

Its source is bright and endless
She resuscitates the hopeless
Without her, we are lifeless satellites drifting

And as I pull my head out I am without one doubt
Don't wanna be down here feeding my narcissism.
I must crucify the ego before it's far too late
I pray the light lifts me out
Before I pine away.

So crucify the ego, before it's far too late
To leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical,
And you will come to find that we are all one mind
Capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable.
Just let the light touch you
And let the words spill through
And let them pass right through
Bringing out our hope and reason ...
before we pine away."

I had an apocalyptic (prophetic?) dream about a month ago. It involved an attack by UFO's, which I guess I could associate w/ cainam_nazier's 5th side. They probably just represented some sort of outside/supernatural force.

In the dream, they began to appear slowly in the sky, until there were hundreds of them. There was a feeling of fear and apprehension in the dream at this time. Then, there were explosions, and something unforgettable happened. There was an extremely vivid and distinct shift in atmosphere. A disturbingly cool breeze came to pass, and just thinking about it I'm getting chills. The rest of the dream was the panic portion, so I never got any real positive message from it.

I don't know what to think about this dream, but it was the only dream I've ever had that was that vivid and meaningful to me. I know it is going to be very significant somehow, whether it just being for myself, or for humanity as a whole.

Just to add a little more to this topic, I read (a quote from a member of Tool) that music can be considered equal to nature. You don't really need to understand anything about it, just sit back and let it influence you in any ways that it will.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / The nature of evil
February 07, 2003, 20:07:09
Powder,

I have to disagree with you when you say that there is no "anti-evil." If evil does indeed exist, even if it is a human creation, there has to be some sort of opposing force to it. The balance and harmony of the universe is always perfect. I was using "good" as a relative term as that opposing force.

To clear up what I meant with the human obsession with good vs evil, I meant from what you can see in entertainment (i.e books, movies). The struggle and most often victor of good over evil is often moving and inspiring to us, as it can be related to our ultimate struggle of battling our egos.

I also believe that good vs bad (couldnt bad be considered evil?) and right vs wrong are creations of society which are manifested in the human mind. We are simply placing things into categories.

Each person is going to see these things differently, due to what you said about being desensitized to things we see.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / The nature of evil
February 06, 2003, 19:41:47
I believe evil is anything that hinders our journey to get closer to the source. Evil things are afraid of change and like everything the way it is, and good attempts to push us towards evolving. That's just the way I see it. I think another topic worthy of discussion is the human obsession with good vs. evil. I believe that everything we do in life is to seek union with some sort of feeling, a person, or event (i think i got that from someone on this forum). So good vs evil could just be us being held back from our goals and unity, and when good succeeds, we are, very deep inside, reminded of our journey of seeking oneness. So that's the way I see things, I'd like to hear some more opinions.

I have a question dealing with music and the astral senses (the shift from external to internal). Could it possibly work somehow to shift into your internal astral senses by exterannly listening to music? For example, if you knew the music very well, and could replay it in your head. Could you be listening to it, and somehow tricking your mind into thinking you were hearing it inside your head and phasing that way? I ask because I always listen to music at night when I usually do any astral/energy work, and it usually does not act as an external distraction. As I type this it sounds like it could get a bit complicated on the process my mind would be going through, but I also think it's worth a try.
#117
well i'm not experienced, but i know exactly what you're talking about. I think the most important part of this, and i think you knew it, was to actually be feeling the textures of your surroundings. I've used a variation of that technique in a successful WILD i had a couple weeks ago. I saw a very vivid image of a book and so I decided to reach out and grab it, and next thing i knew, i was in the dream. I think tonight I'm gonna use it as an OBE technique, if i get good results, i'll share my experience. So sorry i wasnt much help, just wanted to say i know what you're talking about.

#118
Alright, thanks a lot both you guys. I think Ryan may have helped me not only in maintaining lucidity but in WILDs. I have always had a problem of crossing over. maybe tactile sensations can help create a realistic environment and help me engage it. i have a lot to learn. thanks again Josh and Ryan.

#119
Alright, next time i get the chance, i'll definitely try that. But i'm afraid that once i get everything straightened out and i wanna go do sumthin, my lucidity is just gonna fade away like it always does. Any tips on maintaining lucidity?

#120
BONEChief: no i dont usually get goosebumps directly from doing this. altho i do think getting chills when it is unrelated to temperature is an energy sensation...but thats a different topic.

Well anyways at least I know i'm not alone here. Now maybe if someone knew what it was..

Welcome to Metaphysics! / The Year 2003
October 05, 2002, 21:48:42
There's talk about a certain "Planet X" coming into close contact with the Earth in May 2003. most of the places i've heard this have said they have proved it, and have also said that the govt is trying to cover it up. i.e. why observatories everywhere are mysteriously "under construction". i'm taking a neutral pov of this, cant decide, so i'm not gonna choose. but what is supposed to happen is a pole shift. this event could (in my mind hopefully is) the end of the world and the ascension of humans into the 4th dimension, btu that would recquire certain world disputes to be resolved very quickly, and many people reconsider their connection with God. well, i hope that was objective enough, i'm only passing on what I've heard.

#122
What i'm pretty sure it was was ur pineal gland. in science, its purpose is unknown, but it secretes melatonin which helps to slow ur brainwaves down, and hence deepen ur trance. the same thing's happened to me after a good deal of energy work. if ur interested, do a search on it, its actually pretty interesting. hope this helped

#123
I really have no answers, but I've had a similar experience. I was doing some energy work while sitting down and after a while I felt heavy sensations. I opened my eyes and everthing seemed kinda gold-tinted. I'm also curious as to what this was.

#124
I trust that it is not a lie, but there are probably some catches. It looks as if it is made of Salvia Divinorum, which was used by shamans. It is illegal in only Australia. It will probably give you what it says, but from what I know of Salvia Divinorum, it may not give you any control over your experience. Maybe the extra ingredients give you conscious awareness, as the drug is called "LUCID dragon." I personally trust pure Salvia Divinorum as a safe drug to take (although you may have a bad experience) but their extra ingredients may be addictive.

#125
That's all very interesting to me. Now i'm not religious, but I have my own beliefs. I think religion is a sign of weakness in society, because theres always someone telling you what to believe. But thats a whole different topic. Anyways, I can see all that happening, as it ties in with everything I think is going to unfold in 2012. It has already begun, the state of the world right now is evident of that.
