Obviously not long enough yet. []

It's been going on about 2 weeks now.  Started getting really heavy vibrations for about a week now.  Lots more vivid and odd dreams since then but none were lucid that I can say for sure.

**Heavy Sigh**  Nope.  No projections yet.  I came closer today than I have in the past though.  

I have all the correct sensations but feel "stuck".  I feel my body buzzing, especially my head, my heart feels like it's going to explode.  This will last awhile then they go away.  I've tried every "technique" thus far.  I don't have much luck with "visualizing" leaving my body.  I usually focus on a pinpoint of light behind my eyelids then consciously try to "go there".  This seems to work best for now so I'm going to keep trying.

How about you?  What methods do you use?

I think I'm having the same issues.  Everything seems to click right up until the "mind split".

Soon, though. I came closer today than ever.  As a matter of fact my experiences were quite the same as yours.  I was so sure it was going to happen and it felt absolutely fantastic.  Then, let down. [|)]  Anti-climactic is a good word.  Heehee!

Nope no noises.  I've only been working seriously with energy raising for about 2 weeks.  The most interesting  part for me was knowing I had some ability without really knowing what I was doing.  It felt so familiar to me, like I'd been doing it for years.  

Unfortunately, I have no experiences to draw on prior to this time.  None that I can recall anyway.

The first time I experienced the strobe effect, it was blinding.  I had been trying to project for about an hour, late in the evening.  I was having STRONG brow pressure, mainly my temples.  I should mention that I had only started trying to project for about 2 days.  I became too tired to concentrate and rolled over on my side to fall asleep.  Several minutes later, I saw a blinding flash.  I thought I had fallen asleep, and the flash jarred me awake, literally.  Actually, it scared the hell out of me.  I described it to someone as having a camera flash go off in pitch dark, without warning.  I awoke, scared, looking around the room for an intruder taking pic's of me asleep. Haha.  Strangely, my sight was not affected, but my whole body jumped.

The second time, the experience was similar but not as blinding.  And it didn't scare me at all since it had happened before with no negative affects but loss of sleep.[:I]

It didn't literally blind me, I didn't see spots afterwards or anything like that.

How about your experiences?

I'm new and this is my first post.  But I did want to reply on your comment as I'm experiencing the same thing even before I knew anything about chakra's or raising energy.  I only noticed it while meditating and trying to induce an OBE.  I know now that I was instinctively raising my energy, highly energizing my brow chakra.  I could feel and induce the energy raising but had absolutely no clue what it was I was doing.  Although it felt vaguely familiar.  And yes, I felt a tight band but more noticeably and worrisome was pressure in my temples.

Since reading about chakra development, I understand these sensations better.  I even had what Robert Bruce calls the "Strobe effect", although I did not know what it was until afterwards.  I'm pretty sure that the tightness in the head is simply a sign of chakra development.

As far as the occasional pressure I feel there while not meditating (like you), and in my crown chakra, I'm not so sure but just chalk it up to quick development of my brow chakra and crown chakra.

I think this is something you should be proud of.  I've read that it's difficult to stimulate the upper level chakra's.  And in some cases may be related to what Robert Bruce calls "Energy Clairvoyance", especially the "strobe effect".  I'm not really interested in psychic abilities at this point, just OBE's.  

If you are trying to induce OBE's, Astral Dynamics includes a method that includes direct stimulation of the brow chakra.  This is the only thing that has induced the famous vibrations for me and have come close to projection several times using this method.  Apparently, people who have active brow/crown chakra's are more likely to project from the crown of their head and this exercise helps with that and to reach a higher level realm.
