for syke, i think something that might help to elucidate the concept of YCYOR...take the plane crash for example.  let us say that a certain individual wishes to either prove or disprove the theory.  so they do in fact meditate upon images of death from above [xx(] and other planes=death media.  here is the kicker; reality is not CAUSE THUS EFFECT.  reality, in a, as arakara posted, has more of a "quantum" quality.  meaning that there is a precident of "non-local connectedness" that permeates all things.  this is illustrated in the matter=energy votices model in put forth in one of arakara's previous posts.  so just because an individual meditates upon the idea of death=planes, does not necessarily mean that the flow of reality and its holographic manifestation will be so tunnel-vision esque as to produce such limited and unimaginative manifestations as that person actually dying in a plane crash.  that person may actually find him or herself experiencing some form of samadhi, or oneness or spiritual insight about death in general, or the esoteric meaning of man's desire to fly and how that relates to death, or maybe the death of a loved one through a plane crash?  there are infinite permutations of possibility, not limited to a newtonian view of reality.

arakara, i have been looking into 5th dimensional mechanics.  ie-being able to move, act, communicate within the 5th dimensional vibratory rate of matter.(at least relative to us in current 3d).  from what i understand, the instantaneous response or creation of universal flow, is an attunement to the "4th" dimension, which is not really a separate dimension per se, but the astral realm maybe?  thoughts manifest relatively instantaneously and matter/time is extremely malleable.  to navigate within this dimension, accessing the vast potential of the human heart is, from my experience, the key.  what most people on this forum dont seem to see is that no matter how many "techniques" you learn or how "powerful with ki" [:O] you become, without joy in your heart and a passion for the human experience, many many doors remain locked.

Whoa there guy!  there are just too many things to mention that we are conditioned to accept as "healthy" in our society that you would be really hard pressed to find someone who is not experiencing some kind of mental or emotional turmoil.  i feel as though you may have assumed that because i recommended some form of counseling(and that can come in many many forms); that i, myself, have made a moralistically superior assesment of one of my fellow human beings.  if i am correct in my assumption of your assumption, then i hope that this clears things up.  []  oh, and the analogy to rape, is, in my opinion, really a poor one.  it is really an empty playground.  meaning there are way too many unknown factors in the hypothetical that you use as a comparison.  for example, you have placed a feminine gender on your hypothetical rape victim, ok, where is this girl when she was raped?  was she drinking or on any other drugs?  what is her family history and her mental and emotional predisposition and potential for placing herself in potentially threatening positions?  etc etc, and i do not mean to say BLAME.  blame is a ridiculously juvenile concept.  more appropriately, i feel, the concept of RESPONSIBILTY is key.  How am i playing in to a situation i might not want to be in?  where is the energetic focus in my energy body? where are my blocks?  when we can take responsibility for our contribution to where we find ourselves in our lives, then we can more clearly see what is outside us.  in this context, counselling becomes an extraordinarly beautiful process.  it is not to label someone as having "mental problems"......i wonder if thou dost project too much?

Hmmmm.....I feel like there is quite a bit of...hmmm...how should i say it....[?]....Dark Knight, I feel that it is very important for you to seek help OUTSIDE of the sphere of energy dynamics...seek some help in a more grounded area.  Counselling can be an extraordinary experience and can really help you to unlock your energy reserves to remove any unwanted influences in your life.  Sometimes, fighting fire with fire just makes a bigger fire.

    this is my first post and i have to say i am glad i waited.  i have view some of the archived posts dealing with energy development and "ki".....i am glad i waited.  this topic is extraordinarily relevant to the whole notion of "energy", "ki/chi", astral-this-and-that.  one of the problems that i can see with the dialog/discussion/debate is that, when dealing with ideas of how to define one's PERSONAL reality, we inevitably lose our awareness at times that we don't have a monopoly upon NOMINAL reality.  The unfortunate results of this loss in awareness can swing from the petty(I'm right and you are wrong)to the tyrannical(I'm good and you are evil).  I feel that a trememdous amount of open-mindedness and maybe even more so, a really strong sense of personal boundaries.  This is so important because we can all find ourselves at times, clinging to our personal belief or worldview, and when someone challenges this, whether with purpose or no, we can FEEL like they are attacking us and mistake this as reality, when in fact, that other is either strongly expressing his or her worldview or strongly questioning your beliefs.  Ok, sure right?  Well, I was very happy with the last couple of posts, because they shared ideas!  very exciting ideas; ideas exploring the nature of reality.  i have some pretty radical ideas about reality myself, and like everyone else those ideas have been formed by my study, intuition and personal experience.  in the context of the YCYOR worldview, i have this to offer- PARADOX.  my personal experience has shown me time and time again, i have the ability to create and destroy matter at will.  (that should grab your attention [:O]  yeah, i have had some pretty crazy experiences...cults, illuminati, native american shamans WOOHOO!!  no bs.  so i have had very real experiences in which i have simply thought things and the universe instantaneously responds.  i think this maybe the subtlety that people miss.....its not that you create your own reality, per se....but that if you can SEE it, your reality, dances with you!!!  its like a constant breath, thoughts, body movement, feelings, like the world tree...if the world is a tree, it breathes out and you breathe in.  just see the tree.  in this sense, reality is a paradox.  it is something and that something we call it is true and at the same time, it is not that thing which we call it but it is its polarity.  good and evil, life and death, yin and yang, "i create my own reality" and "i am at the whim of fate".  both of these things ARE TRUE.  there is NO ARGUMENT!  the INTELLECT Cannot pass through a paradox.  mind is cirular and cannot understand oroboros.  heehee!!!  this is some fun shite!
