I suggest that

A)   When the imagery stops you are successfully separated, so try rolling or moving and see if you are out
B)   When the imagery stops you have reached a DEEPER level that has no imagery, like one of the void areas
C)   You are focusing on the imagery too early. Just when they first start don't focus on them, just let them go until they build strength. Then you can focus on them with impunity.

I've had this same exact experience upon waking when I was a kid. Much noise and turmoil. It was amazing. Thank you for sharing. Never though of it being the H-band noise. [:)]

Hello all...

This desire and intent of mine is already work. I can feel it brewing inside myself. I can feel the minor areas of my beings that want to be lazy shuddering at the fact that I mean business. All this time has passed. I first bought a computer in 2000. I had Astral Dynamics and other books that promoted the basics, and said build the foundation. Even martial arts teaching thus, thus the holding of standing postures.

But I was impatient and rushed, and I did get some experiences here and there, but I am still no where near a master, and no where near able to get out whenever I want. My best advice to you now is to TAKE YOUR TIME AND MASTER THE BASICS **FIRST**. In the year 2001 had I take the time to work on the basics and even spent ONE YEAR on every basic and the states, for instance 2001 on relaxation, 2002 on getting into light trance, and 2003 on getting into deep trance, I would be a master now! But no. I was impatient. I wanted it NOW.

I believed that I didn't have enough time to take time to master the basics, that somehow the world would end, and I need to get it done now before it's all over. Well I'm still here, and my life situation is even better than it was then, and is continually getting better. So I realize that I DO have the time to take the time, and that there is really no time to not take the time, for in rushing to get it done NOW, I did a lot of running around but got next to no where!

I hope you take my advice and learn from my mistakes.  [:)]

In a bit of self-advice I see one thing going on. In the terminology of Robert Bruce I need to work on my core skills. I don't remember the last time I actually felt relaxed, or consciously did relaxation exercises to the point of actual relaxation. I do mostly half-assed relaxation attempts so I can get to the projection stuff. Bad idea. (Think Animaniacs.) To give myself some credit, I remember when I used to get out or reach projection state often I was a virtual master at meditation, energy work, and relaxation. I used to do at least 40 minutes of meditation before EACH OBE attempt, and had the patience to meditate and relax for the sake of it. Now I am just hurrying through relaxation to get to the good stuff. I shall read the core skills in AD and work on those more, and further subjugate my ego. Still I want to give myself credit at least some and pull up some of the exercises I used to do, which are still a battery of meditation and concentration and relaxation exercises which I pulled together from several combinations of online and paper literary sources.

Hey TheLou. I'm saying that when you are dreaming you are already undocked, and you just have to 'latch onto' your physical and/or nonphysical body, and relax out from there. This is my experience anyway. Any success with it, please let me know. [:)]

I've heard of tones being associated with the OBE. Perhaps you can focus on it until it increases move away from your physical body. I don't suggest holding it to the point that it causes you pain or lasting pressure. Focus lightly. Love yourself. [:)]

I'm sure nothing is wrong with you. I have experienced this erratic nature of the energy as you intend to move it. I think this is just the need to get our mind and energy under better control. I have learned that when I practice energy work consistently my energy and mind is more and more under my control. I suggest that you just continue and make everything as stable as possible each time, and go from there.

I've had one success with the rope technique proper. I mixed it with point-shift, alternating the two. I didn't focus on the rope; I mainly focused on the feel of the pulling and moving motions of my arms and hands. Robert in Astral Dynamics suggests the use of one hand if you have a problem with two, until you get better with it.

I don't think the tone is related to that exercise.

Hey Blissful.

If you believe that all of it is difficult, then I'm sure it will be. I have consciously projected the majority of the times I have through imagery and dreams, as I consider it transition state phenomenon, the stuff that happens between waking and sleeping, like vibrations. I'd reach a deep trance and the imagery comes, and I'd focus on the imagery and it turns into a dream, and then I'd become aware that it is a dream and proceed to exit. So now that I am actively focusing on it I'm sure it will be even easier.

G3MM4... When you get vibrations you can focus on them and move them around, and make them increase to separation. With sounds you can listen to them and allow them to increase with separation. I have floated up before by working the vibes, just moving them up and down and stuff like that. I suppose it would work with sounds just as with imagery. Focusing on it takes you farther into the state.

hey all...

I am very excited. I am going to take a new approach to getting out of body, through dreams. I have found that once I become aware that I are dreaming it is just a matter of latching onto my nonphysical body by thinking it, like realizing I are really lying down asleep, and feeling for my body and connecting with it. Then I try to move and I find that I'm in paralysis, and then I relax and move out and away from my physical body. I have been waking up and going back to sleep, or just lounging in the morning by consciously thinking that in the morning I'll just dream, and this has had a great affect on bringing me some vivid dreams. I'll start to focus on my dreams more, and work on becoming aware in them and then just latch on to my nonphysical body as I said above and move out. I'll continue to meditate and stuff, and do energy work and things also. I figure this can be a stepping-stone to being able to get out consciously from waking, like directly stepping out. It related to the 'astral dreaming' method shared in the book Astral Travel by Yvonne and Gavin Frost, which is a very great book. I am too excited now to sit and read that part again, but it is closely related.

Taalnar. I have never thought about eating my semen to prevent energy loss, or chemical loss. I'll have to ask about that, or read his and other sites more to see how this would work. Thank you for sharing. [:)]

Hey Tom. Good point. Another aspect of it is focusing on the vibes. I've caused myself to float out just by strobing the vibes up and down, and/or forming them into a ring around my body and moving this ring up and down.

I read it either in a forum or in a book, but it was definitely here-now travel. I don't think it was a point as to how they got out, but looking at their hands every now and then served as a marker, like if you practice awareness in the day it may help to practice every time you hear the phone ring or something, each time you hear it center yourself like a marker. That's what I got of it. I hope you try it and it works for you. [:D]
