When I started studying magick about six years ago, I used Craig´s book as a sort of guide, I have found it helpful in many ways, but I have also noticed that whilst Craig presents GD rituals, he gives his own versions of them; e.g. his version of LBRP uses a type of  invocation of elemental forces just before you seal the pentagrams (you are supposed to inhale the elemental force from each quarter), which I have found to be negative, as this can generate unbalanced/qlipphotic absorption of force, as there may be difficulties in grounding the energy (I had just that problem, and might have been a reason that the negs succeeded in establishing their psycho-magnetic links).
Also N. B. the version of LBRP in Regardie´s GOLDEN DAWN is not identical with Craig´s version!

I would also like to comment on LBRP´s effectiveness on negs - I used the MPR and in someway it seemed like the negs were able to feed off the energy thus generated.
This may sound unlikely as the force is of the higher kind and would thus be "toxic to the negs", but I remember once that after having invoked the brilliance of the sphere above the head I could feel the dark negsphere descending like a predator out for a bite.

Some experts like Denning & Philips advise people not to do rituals such as MPR when being under psychic attack, I was advised by a high grade magician to abstain from magick and ritualwork altogether under a period. A ritual such as THE TOWER OF LIGHT (as given in Denning & Philips´book PSYCHIC SELF_DEFENSE AND WELL-BEING) seem by most to be beneficial though.

QUESTION:
What exactly is the astrall effect on a neg- attachment if one does LBRP, how does it effect the magnetic links/the core images?

Also for me Craig´s free-traditional-neo-GD way has seemed unfitting, I have felt and would recommend to others to use a system in full instead, whether it may be GOLDEN DAWN, O.T.O.s THELEMA, or whatever. Craig´s simplifying approach may have it´s values, but for me a full system provides much more guidance and support.

I have found that the AURUM SOLIS system is the best suited for me (at least it feels totally right for me) as it is so much more sublime in its use of symbols, influence from the Hellenic/ Neoplatonic/Gnostic/Eastern-Byzantine, and their banishing ritual SETTING OF THE WARDS OF POWER seems much better than LBRP (perhaps a matter of taste), with the exception of the visualizing of the pentagram on the brow maybe, drawing the pentagram feels more natural, but I guess this is just a matter of what one is used to, as i`ve heard from people who have switched from LBRP to SETTING OF THE WARDS.

Anyone here who share my awe for the Ogdoadic system of AURUM SOLIS: and the books of Denning & Philips, especially their books on magick such as PLANETARY MAGICK??

I sympathesize very much with you as I have been suffering from attacks for over ten years.
Here are some methods of  defence:
- rub sliced garlic near the area that the neg is connected to you. Effective!
- Visualize a blue sphere covering you and your partner if she´s affected too.
- Herbal soaps such as St. John´s wort (connected with exorcism) might be effective as is rosemary and angelica.
-herbs that are effective are St. john´s Wort, Angelica, Rosemary, Cinnamon.
-burning incensesticks of sage and Frankincense.
-keep track on what specific images or emotions the negs want you to obsess about.

I´m new to this technique, but to me it seems that the sword in some way has to be connected with the Spirit to be effective, or magically charged in some other way.

Some astral weapons might be more effective, Robert mentions a laser gun (which might be apt as the laser-beam easily might resemble the brilliant light that is needed), but the magical sword is symbolically connected to Spirit so it is a traditional symbol of defense, used in evocations, etc. I remember one attack I had in the past, in a sort of lucid dream, the negs were present as a grey-dark sphere and I visualized a long sword holding it against them and they reacted with something resembling rage.

Visualizing the sword with the point upwards and calling down brilliant light from the higher self/Kether is one way - this is also a ritualistic gesture that is used in invoking Spirit. A prayer to the higher self might be effective or the godname  and Archangel name of kether: EHEIEH METATRON, or the godname/ARchangel name of Mars/Geburah: ELOHIM GEBOR KAMAEL.
As the Archangel Michael is closely connected with exorcism his name might be used.

I haven´t tried using the Enochian godnames, although I´m very tempted as I´m very fascinated by this system, but one must be very cautious as Enochian is a VERY powerful system,  it  might be a bit hazardous maybe to experiment with it in this context, unless you are an experienced Enochian magician.

But whatever technique you try, the real key seems to be very concentrated, visualize as good as you can, hack at the damn negs with all your strength and you will succeed eventually.

I completely agree with you, in my case it seems that karma has a very strong influence indeed. One psychici healer that could help me (for the short term only unfortunately) said that his trance reading (which I also  experienced on the astral plane) indicated that my attacks were due to me having lived a former life as a shaman and misusing my then  magickal powers  and as a result I had got enemies. His diaignosis of my current psychic state involved me being a victim of a voodoo-ilke curse being entangled or enclosed in a steel-like web.

I don´t know how much of this is accurate, but studying my astrological birth chart, I´ve found that I have strong karmic indications:Scorpio as rising sign/ascending sign, Jupiter in Scorpio conjunct Neptune in Sagittarius in the First House
Sun in The Eighth House
Saturn in the Seventh House
Moon in The third House (in Capricornus)
A lot of Oppositions, including Saturn & Venus opposition Jupiter & Neptune (in the first House), as well as many trines, Venus trine Pluto, Saturn trine Pluto, Moon trine Pluto, Mars trine Sun, Mars in Aquarius conjnuct North Node, also the South Node in Leo (hence a powerful karmic position).

I`m born June 11th 1971, and numerologically I´m a 35/8, which is strongly karmically affected. Also whilst growing up I have gone through psychologically turbulent experiences (typical of someone with strong Scorpio/Pluto-influence), which I´ve managed to survive, so in my case the psychic attacks are definitely in some way linked to karma.

Also my apartment is numbered 26 which is a th most karmic number, also related to the path Ayin/The Devil/Capricornus - The renewing intelligence, learning to see through the material illusions that bind us, overcoming material obsessions, such as greed and lust.

I regard myself as one of those who have strong feelings that certain things in my life are meant to be, I´m not a fatalist as I believe that via using magick we can change or at least moderate life´s currents, but if I said that karma is not evident in my life I would be lying indeed!

Nice to hear that you enjoyed my post, on this rather difficult matter.
Becoming a White magician or Theurgist often is much more difficult than most people think, as you must deal with your shadow-aspect, that both encapsulates your unbalanced aspects as well as weak psychological or subjective aspects.

During my six-year long study of magick, which was crossed by psychic attacks, I have learnt that the occult world is deep waters where many lurking dangers prowl. They can be either in forms of qlipphah (negs) or it can defaults in your unconscious that become activated when you sart doing magick. Especially a ritual such as MPR which activates the psychic centres may activate these defaults and/or attract negs.

This does´t mean that I want to urge people not to study magick, but the recommendation to combine it with psychotherapy as suggested both by Israel Regardie and Denning & P hilips is very true. Had I had the money I´d take up therapy, of the Jungian school, as this is most iin resonance with the esoteric.

On the subjetc of the inner battels in The Golden Dawn I strongly recommned Francis King´s book "Ritual Magic in England" which deals with all these personnel conflicts, unfortunately it may be out-of-print.

No I haven´t tried using Ra-HooR-Khuit, I have tried to assume the godform of a falcon, but it didn´t affect the negs much. Also I read a loud a spell from Coffin Texts called "Transformation into a falcon", which was meant to be used by the dead person as a means to transform into Horus and thus partake in his qualities, which includes killing Seth, the murderer of his father Osiris. The spell indeed has some astral effect, but if it´s effective in exorcism I don´t know.

Actually the Egyptian name for Horus is Hr (with a dot under the h) and it is pronounced Her or hor(as we only have the consonants and don´t know what the name actually sounded like, Coptic which is the last remnant of Ancient Egyptian language, which was a sort of mix of Egyptian and Greek, might give further clues).

As you probably know Horus appears in various forms, such as Horus the Elder, Horus of Edfu etc., he personified the living Egyptian King (which was reflected in the king´s five names, of which two are Horus and Horus of Gold), Osiris (wsir) thus symbolizes the dead king. Horus if we relate him to the Qabalah can thus both be related to Chesed (together with Amun-Re and Maat), Geburah (together with Seth, the falcon warrior god Montu and the goddess of pestilence Sekhmet) and Tiphereth (along with Re/ra and many other solar deities).

Nice to see some Swedes on this forum! I completely agree with you that any godname can be used, but NE-HA-EL for me proven more effective, AUM is not as effective.
I wonder if there are any Enochian mantras one can use in exorcisms, without attracting other spirits? I ´ve always had a soft spot for the Enochian system though I know that it´s not something to play around with, but to me it is the most powersounding.
I did once (a bit foolishly I admit it) write my name in Enochian after that I could sense a definite presence behind me, not hostile, but a bit creepy, I prayed to my higher self and the presence disappeared without a trace.

By your reference to The Book of The Law I suppose your a Thelemite?
Crowley has been one of my occult heroes as well, all though my fave system is Aurum Solis.

And I´m a student of Egyptology as well, but Egyptian godnames, haven´t done the trick for me yet. Though I`ve had a chat on th astral with lord Anubis once

Some questions to your reply: have you been succesful in banshing these hags, and if so what method did you use?
Also did you feel that they were magnetically connected to your head centers (temples, eyes, back of head) as well as solar plexus, if so what method did you use to cut those chords??

On the topic of warding off negs, this is something that is very difficult when they have established themselves, so to speak. As they perceive one´s achilles heels, you must detect theirs, as well as be able to see where they are connected. Also when trying to cut the chords, these have in my experience, refused to be severed. Maybe saying a prayer or invoking Elohim Gibor (godname of Mars/Geburah) or YHVH or Yshvh might do the trick.

I had one attack in he dreamstate again a couple of nights ago, and this time they (the negs) fronted me in a bunch, some went for my head centres and the others the genital region/lower abdomen, it felt like they wanted to get into the abdomen (it was quite horrible) I did´nt have the strentgh to combat them, as I felt almost paralysed. I suspect that what I have bothering me are both negs and incubi, and that there are someone or some that controls them.

I have requested for help them from F.H., so let´s hope this will come to an end soon.

Also, I´m also forgetting, something to emphasize is thought-control, which I´m trying to improve, this can be very difficult when under psychic attack, but some of Franz Bardon´s techniques of his excellent "Initiation to Hermetics" can surely be applied. Keeping track on how many times a day the induced images/thoughts appear Also my third term university studies in Middle Egyptian grammar (which is complex to learn indeed) is a help, keeping the mind focused.

Finally I want to say that may all those troubled by unwanted beings or influences of the astral realms find the strength of spirit in their fight!

The experience I had seems now definitely as the higher self taking control, but on the subject on the occult police´s existence or non-existence, I must say that Dion Fortune (who uses this term in her book "psychic self-defense") related her experience nicknaming it "the occult police" - as I understand it not generally meaning that they were a moral astral squad holding guard, but a type of higher assembly that helps those in need.

I know that Fortune´s books are somewhat marred by her preconceived ideas, that in many cases probably were largely Victorian. But were she deliberately lying? and what would she have gained by that??

I confess of being a bit bias as I hold Fortune´s books in high regard, just like those of her great pupil W.E. Butler (who seemed to me a very wise and unselfish man), but I do confess of holding a somewhat romantic notion of ceremonial magick that are related to those days when several of the more famous occult fraternities were founded, such as Golden Dawn, Aurum Solis (my personal favorite order), Brotherhood of Luxor, O.T.O. et al, et al.

I don´t think that mrs. Evans/Fortune were dishonest in this matter, she related her experience and if she were deluding herself or not, at least her experience was shared by another great occultist  Colonel J.F.C Fuller but whether there actually existed an organised astral help force or not and if it did then the important question to ask is do they still exist?.

For those of us who has suffered greatly for many years of psychic attacks due to dark forces that prowl the higher planes sometimes used by black magicians( I have had psychic attacks on-and-on for almost 20 years now, this last 9-8 years almost every day).

For me as for many others on this forum the existence of such a higher look-out at least gives us some hope of finding the final and definite aid we so desperatly need. Also getting help that cost you $ 70-100 for something that is only helpful temporarily like some psychic healers offer is like putting a bandaid on a deep wound.

I don´t take no offense at all from your reply, it is interesting to hear different views, that is what makes these type of forums so good!

The attacks I have experienced have had a definite connection with darker magick (though in a subtle way), as if someone seems to be trying to push me off the lighter road.
I remember in 1996, I could hear calls like inviting me to hail Satan, this sounds ridiculous I know, as I regard Satanism as quite childish, though I confess of having a slight interest in demonology, especially when I was in my early teens. Quite recently my interest in darker occultism made my buy a book on Dark Magick. In Sweden, where I reside, we have a left-hand path society called Dragon Rouge and they use the Reverse Side of the Qabalistic Tree. I cofess being open to more controversial aspects of occultism as I think the old traditional division of righthand path and lefthand path is perhaps all that correct. Also the author who is a member of this society had some good points on the slight superstitious views that still abide in Ceremonial Magick.

But there must be sevrela pitfalls and other dangers with dark magick as I see it, iI mean you might seem like you´re using diabolic powers safely, leading to them using you in an indirect way. I´m not that well-versed in Kenneth Grant, but his Typhonian version of magick seems very qlipphotic oriented(as well as being heavily Sex Magick oriented).

Apart from that, I´m not a Christian (though I´m baptized as one), when I was a young child I was facinated with Christ on the cross. Today the only type of Christianity that interests me is Gnostic Christianity. Apart from that I have felt more drawn to Hinduism (i studied Bhakti Yoga in 1989 when I was 18, and I felt a very close connection to the higher self) as well as Tantric Buddhism/Lamaism.

The answer to my attacks seems to be found in past life, also I have my suspicions that my astrological chart carries several very important clues: I´m a solar Gemini, the sun is positioned in the Eighth House (the house of Scorpio, of death,sex,legacies and occultism), also I´m a Scorpio Ascendant (scorpio Rising), I have Neptune and Jupiter in conjunct in the First House (I can easily access the astral through my mind), further I have Mars in Aquarius conjunct the north Node, my South Node (karmic past) is in Leo (indicating a powerful past) also I have Venus trine Pluto, Moon trine Pluto and Saturn trine Pluto, all indicating ease in dealing with darker, frightening issues and forces.

As to your talk about affirmation of the right path. I have decided to take up my magical studies again in a about a year, this time using the full Ogdoadic system of Aurum Solis (famous from the books by Melita Denning & Osborne Philips) which I strongly feel is THE system for me both the way the emphasize the Gnostic, Neoplatonic and The Renaissance influences, also the sublime way their rituals are designed.
But I have learnt that magick must be built on a firm ground, both psychologically and socially, and as I´m currently studying Egyptology (Middle Egyptian language) at the University,  time for doing lenghthy rituals is pretty scarce at the present.

Again, on the point on chanting, I have found that vibrating the godnames and archanngel names (maybe also the lesser angel names)for every sephiroth is somewhat helpful.
But on the religious point, praying to God and the higher self and/or Adonai/YHVH/Tetragrammaton is helpful. The Yeshuah/Pentagrammaton as used in the Golden Dawn Rose-Cross ritual is helpful.
On method that proved helpful recently was visualizing the aura being as in a up-rotating spiral like it is reaching a higher and higher vibration or "tone" (this done with prayer to the higher self):

But the attackers are clever, their attacks are often aimed whilst in dreams (creating a horrible atmosphere in a dream) or when one is close to those leylines that are magnetic/negative (powerswallowing).

The prime question is are there any useful techniques to extract the psycho-magnetic links on oneself, using a crystal or something?

Though in my case, I don´t believe it is a guardian that is casing these beams against the right eye, as they are hurtful. The guardians I have sometimes give me advice telepathically, often they try to tell me not to give in to the erotic-inducing attacks, e.g. give in to them, which is very hard, as these attackers definitely know my achilles heel.
As to paying for healing, I agree with you. If I were an exorcist I wouldn´t charge anyone as "All are One" and the true exorcism is  equlibrium and for the benefit of all.
For me, this distance reading gave me some pointers to what my problem are, but this healer sounded like he didn´t want to tell the whole truth.
As for the session, it was real and not a bogus one. I only wonder where to go next.

Thanks for the suggestion. The dark spots that might me docking spot sounds plausible, I don´t know if the psychic therapist removed any of this, I only remember him blowing something through my left temple, as well as massaging the third eye chakra. After this session on the astral, I had dreams where someone performed something of a follow-up healing on me, which consisted of blocking the area where the induced images are projected. At least that was what I was told, subconsciously in a non-verbal way. Also this person wanted to touch my right eye where these attacks have been projected, like a magnetic beam (that is actually physically felt!) that did hurt on me, as if the area was irritated, so I wanted to refrain from that touch that was physical.
Who this person was I don´t know, the therapist I consulted says that he didn´t do any of this, ghe said that it might be the higher self, but I don´t think that.
Also in a following dream session this unknown male person folded a kind of sheet over me, before doing the healing.
This might all seem like just dreams, but after waking up I felt that something had been done on my aura.

My present period I have felt enpowered and shielded, and the erotic fantasies that these entities wants to have, has´nt affected me psychologically like before.
Last night I again felt the intruding sphere like presence of these vampires before falling asleep, they induced erotic images, but I didn´t let myself be affected, then I could see in me third eye, demonic looking beings standing a bit away, staring at me.

I have been suspicious of that the attacks actually are controlled by some kind of qlipphotic beings of a grander order, that wants me to join them as a black magician.
In 1996 I had a creaative rush when I started writing some gothic horror stories, at that time I felt a strong presence from a demonic being, not any of these vampires, it was just a passing feeling, but a real one just the same. Also whilst doing my LBRP ritual then, there was an induced kind of flirt of calling me to join a dark magick group.
I don´t see myself as a paranoid, but I do believe that in a previous  past life I may have been on the left-hand path, perhaps even working with demonic lords, and now they want to hinder me from pursuing the theurgic great work.
Also for me it seems like these vampires are just as a kind of attack mediators for these qlipphah, which are probably more intelligent, and now when to attack most effectively. The vampires are just some kind of astral predators that seek nourishment, and also maybe somekind of partial etheric manifestation. Demonic possession as well as lesser psychic attacks of my type seems to be about seeking manifestation as well as channels for their power.

My attacks have been both in the waking state:
* psychological attacks with the use of índuced erotic images sometimes the vampires have manifested partially as a alluring woman.
These attacks have been preceded by a pressure on left and right temples, on the right eye, and on the solar plexus chakra on the back:
The attacks before falling asleep have been preceded by a darkgrey sphere that projects the image-inducing beam through mostly the right eye, and/or the temples.
In the dream state the attacks have been either:
* an almost suffocaing pressure on the breast.
* the vampires appearing as a sphere and physically pressing onto either side of head or arms.
* the dream attacks have been an evoking of either erotic or pornographic images or beings, or a distinctly unpleasant disturbing or nasty atmosphere, like a haunted area. Or the dreams have been controlled to either cause an astral seduction, or to create fear or guilt. All for trying to weaken the aura´s defenses of course.

Finally, I´d like to ask if there is someone here who has the astral/psychic ability to look into my case, and help me or offer specific suggestions for what I shall do?
