Beavis, I always felt there was something to be learnt in all these exercises. It can be fun and enjoyable but you shouldn't toy around with it just for the sake of having a few laughs.

Hey, sorry to hear about that and I hope you're feeling better by the end of the week. Something interesting that I just rememered out of thin air was a few nights ago..on Sunday (I posted about this earlier) I did some very calm energy work in bed to see if it would trigger an AP or a LD. While those two things didn't happen, I DID remember waking up in the middle of the night, and when I went back to sleep I could feel my body going into the deep trance which I experienced before my first LD. Quite possibly to achieve these fully altered states of conciousness requires me to do something while I'm in this trance'ish state, but that answer alludes me for the time being.

The next thing I remember is some vague details about the dream and I was awake. Don't know why I remembered it out of the blue, but I'm happy I did. From now on I'm going to channel up to my 3rd Eye Chakra before I go to sleep. I just woke up from a siesta, where I channeled to my 3rd Eye Chakra before sleeping, and because I had my eyes closed I got so many amazing shapes and colours, lots of "peeling off" from the blackness to expose new shades of black etc. I was also feeling altered levels of calmness, as if I was trying to punch through a barrier but wasn't able to.

Another thing that seems to be happening is that my dream recall is shot to bits recently. I could be APing and LDing and wouldn't even remember it. A lot of the time I get just bits and pieces of dreams that really don't tell me a great lot. It seems when I just dream normally without channeling any energy that recall improves.

Well that was interesting.

I absorbed some energy to the point where I was comfortable, and then projected it outwards (drawing energy from the white light and on the exhale expanding it out throughout my house.)

Apart from one of my housemates coming home and no doubt thinking im a nut, it went quite well. One thing I noticed, which I got even "worse" the last time I had this much energy in me, is that my Heart Chakra gets very heavy and tight.

I read some more of the book today and they mentioned that when you give energy out from your body, in the world, it comes from the Heart Chakra, so I think this may be the reason - because this Chakra services as a conduit where the rest of my bodies energy gathers before being released into the world.

I got almost to the same point as I did the second time (ie. the most intense) except stopped because I was happy with the energy I had accumulated for me to store. However my spasming has reduced quite a lot which can no doubt be a good thing. Currently I feel a warmth inside of people, possibly due to the excess energy thats now concentrated inside of me, any other energy has gone or is fleeting quickly.

Its good to find someone who can relate to what I'm going through (not that what I'm going through isn't great - it is, didn' want that to come off sounding tragic or negative!) Anyway, please don't think that I'm advancing faster or am in any way better than you. Our purpose and our goals for this life dictate both our highest available level of development, and the pace in which we progress.

If you want to try and advance yourself further may I suggest daily energy work. I've been using using the White Light method, courtest yof Tayesin's homepage, that method can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/tayesin/index4.html

I got results the first time I tried it, so I don't see why you shouldn't. I think it would be good if we tried some experiments together, we can find out more about our abilities if we test different things and report our findings back here. This is what I have so far:

1) The greatest amount of energy I've been able to sustain in my body was when I was using the White Light technique coupled with Tayesin's recommendation on pushing out the "White Light" to every room in the house, clinging to the walls.

I have yet to achieve this amount of energy again since I havn't done the exercise like before, I havn't pushed the White Light out as well as I did (I've only done this extended White Light exercise twice - one downstairs in our living room which is the center of the house, second time in my bedroom which is in a corner of the house.)

I noticed that when I didnt have something to do, ie. after I had finished pushin the light to all areas of the room, the energy began to disipitate, initially from my head (it was covering my entire body except my face.) In order to prolong what I was feeling, because it was so great) I visualized reinforcing the energy throughout the house, and on top of that visualized a hovering ball of white light in the room, which I fed and then triggered, so it exploded and covered the house with even more white light.

After this I just had no idea what to do so I let go.

2) I managed to achieve an ultra relaxed state, with complete calmness a couple of nights ago. I was in my bed and just using the standard White Light approach. Initially I had my eyes open and they were glazing over, it was as if the energy was trying to make me see something else, but was just uanble to.

Anyway, I just closed my eyes and instead of having the focus of getting as much energy as I could inside of me, it was just to let it flow throughout my body. My breathing slowed a lot, I noticed. I wanted to see if I could reach a Lucid Dream or OOBE through having the energy when I fell asleep, however this was not the case. Possibly due to my own lack of development in this area.

Those are the two main experiments I've done that have had different results from what I usually experience. I'm starting to open myself up and let energy into me whenever I'm just living life, I don't do it for long, just enough to get the rush and possiby a little spasm. However I'm noticing that I can control the spasms to an extent, when I don't have too much energy inside of me.

I've been given a new exercise, to gain as much energy as you can, and then to visualize channeling it and letting it flow into a searing hot ball with a red colour, sort of like the colour of metal when its being forged. The ball should be just below your Heart Chakra. I'll be doing that today so feel free to try and it and post your results.

Finally, I recommend doing the White Light exercise 2-3 times a day, the more you do it the better it will become and you may notice increases in your development.

I don't know..My main doubts are just about the surprising lack of control I had. My understand was that when you were Lucid you could control the dream and shape it how you wanted, for me I was "trapped" and it was really weird.
