Well, it has to do with the brightness as well, or else you would see them every time you closed your eyes.

So the description of a strange insect creature, about the size of a lobster, is enough of a visual for you to know -exactly- the thing that they are talking about?

Seen the tadpoles, seen the quick bright lights that pop in. The bright ones that pop like a flash every once in a while are related to an eye condition that I have. Also had the tadpoles take over my vision after I stand up. Far as I'm considered, they're just eye things.

Yeah, no healthcare in the USA, if you break a leg and need to go to the hospital, you pay the bills. It's very different from the Medicare/Healthcare that Canads has.

Ever see your face changing when looking into the mirror? I used to do that when I was bored. Just a trick of the eyes.

Welcome to Dreams! / smells and dreams

When I go to sleep in a dream, I wake up. I think it has to do with the way I used to jump out of my dreams and go to the next one when I was little by closing my eyes tight and then opening them again.

I can't remember smelling anything in my dreams.

It could be taking a highly elipical orbit off of the normal plane that most of the planets take. It'd take a while to find one like that.

Those ghosts are hallucinations, and nothing to worry about, though they may be freaky. They appeared when you opened your eyes, which means next to nothing because your mind could've thrown them in once they opened. If the stayed in the same spots, relative to the room, even if you moved your eyes, then it doesn't mean they are less likely hallucinations because your mind will pick up on your eye movements and deal with the hallucinations accordingly.

Think about it this way. If you are on the verge of sleep while this is happening, you're going to get some things thrown in visually and probably noises as well. It like being awake and asleep at the same time, you can get overlap. The only difference from dreaming, is that you are getting two different sources for the visuals.

If you think about it, science works off of a belief system much like religion and there are people who would question it or accept it whole-heartedly the same as people who are religious. Theorists and scientists are ridiculed for their beliefs in how the Science of the Universe (tm) works and there are those who choose to believe the mainstream views and ridicule those who try to think about it differently.

The world was once flat and the center of the universe. Those that tried to explain differently didn't do so well.

How would they corelate if they couldn't interact? Then again, it's not getting this thread any further by answering questions with questions.

How could he possibly know what the cause was? :D

Thanks, I'll check it out right now.

For me the feeling either got stronger than normal or changed to include the bridge of my nose and cheeks (when it had mainly been contained higher) when a specific person was near (as in the different one only happened with that specific person). This was over a year ago either of them last happened (as I said, I've moved and have not know these people for nearly as long or as well), but I can get the same feelings going right now, on purpose, so I think that they're correct about what I remember about how it felt before.

Here is the thread where I posted it in. I hadn't thought to post what the sensations were though.

Hullo, I've tried blanking my mind while going to sleep and was wondering if this is either related to it or not. After blanking my mind, my heart will race for a short time, and sometime after that I'm either asleep or not aware of anything. I'll suddenly snap awake/aware, and suck in my breath sharply. The first time that I tried this and snapped awake (my eyes are still closed), I had a controllable humming and sensation in my head which I was making last as long as I could until it stopped. I remember seeing the room as almost outlines. After I'd snap awake I'd go to sleep normally.

These next things were all within the last 30 days, I believe.

Before I started clearing my mind before sleeping, I was dreaming and managed to purposefully 'look' back into the room. All I saw was grey. I went back into the dream, told the person there that we were indeed late for work because it was daytime (and the alarm hadn't woken me up). Then I woke up, the alarm hadn't gone off, and I would have been late for school if I had woken up 15 minutes later.

Another dream similar to this was when I was sleeping during the afternoon with the television on for about 1/2 an hour. I don't remember the details of the dream, but I had 'looked' back again, into my room. The television was on and was rather bright, no lights were on so the room was dark, and it was night outside. I woke up, the lights had been off as normal, the television was (of course) still on, but the difference in what I had seen from the dream was apparent, because there was still some light in the sky and duskish.

Had another of these after I had done the clearing the mind thing before I gave up and went to sleep. I'm not able to remember the part just before the ending to come to any conclusions as to how I made it to the viewpoint of in my bed, just that I was looking at the room, then I was in the bed. It was night in this and daytime in truth, the views matched when I opened my eyes. The difference from the other two is that I heard voices/chanting/noises just before I opened my eyes to find that I was late for class.

--

So I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the sucking in breath thing upon becoming aware (or waking after no dreams, which I'd call the same thing) and what it's from. Also, I am wanting to know if anyone has heard of the night/day differences in views from dreams. Thanks.

Quote from: Naiad780YES.  It comes and goes (not here at the moment), but it has dropped down to my nose and cheeks, and other times extended up over my forehead and occasionally seems to merge with my crown.
Neat, that sounds similar to what I used to get, but mine only lasted a few moments (probably close to 10 or 20). Felt like pressure/tingling, through the bridge of the nose, parts of the cheeks, and my forehead. I managed to figure out why it was happening though. It's bound to be different reason than you, though.

Hello, I was just wondering if you guys had any sites that would have information about or techniques to use remote sight or if you would have any information on how to train it. Thanks.
#118
I think that it's from concentrating on your heart beat too much, making it go quicker than normal. The lights could be caused by the increase in blood. Reminded me of when I had an anxiety attack, but I could be wrong in my thinking, so I'll stop now.

That made me laugh, thanks. :D

It has 18 views, so people are reading, just not posting. I've got no insight on this to offer though.

Periods. Use some periods.

Sorry, was trying to get the point across with a different way of describing it. Wasn't sure how much belief you had put into it. The whole concept just seems silly to me.

... yeah, I did sound harsh there, didn't I.

Either you AP or you don't and it's nothing to do with a horoscope sign. Why would your girlfriend's friend know that about APing? Even if she's a regular projector, it doesn't mean that she can jump to conclusions or say things without being able to back them up.
#124
Yup, sorry about that.
#125
Why would your horoscope signs come into play with astral projecting? That's like saying that someone with blue eyes will project easier than one with brown. Both ideas are inconsequential.
