Hi,
This happens lots of times and it may be a common thing. Ive seen things recently that I dreamt of in the sixties. The places are exactly as dreamt about even 40 years later. Its wierd how the mind works.

It really is...

Welcome to Astral Chat! / "Deja vu"

Hi everyone!

I just had a strange experience about a week ago and can't stop thinking about it... Can't even give it a name....

So I was takeing a walk with a buddy of mine and I just told her a very personal thing about myself. After she replied to it, I cracked a joke and suddenly realized, that I dreamed about this situation like two years ago, when those things I was talking about with her were happening.

In that dream I didn't know who I was conversing with, because my gaze was wandering around while we were walking. But in this moment it just downed on me that I was talking to her in that dream. It was really bizarre, because I spoke with the same tone like in my dream, said the same words, and the environment was the same, and it felt like I am just watching the whole scenario from a distance and waking up again when it was over. Like it happened before.

Really a dream came true, I know.... :-P

Has anyone ever experienced similar things? How do you explain it/call it?

Cheers,
rain

Hey man, if it makes you feel better, I am going through the same phase. Regarding to feeling that I am struggling, although I'm making steady progress; and the people surrounding me  8-)... Unfortunately I'm far away from there, but keep up the good work and we may see each other on the astral .)....

Stay out of Area 51, it's heavily guarded. Even in the Astral!

Why? What is inside :S? I know the conventional viewpoint about it, I would like to know yours :)....

Thank you, I will try it out :)!

Yes, I would like to hear about it :).

Hallo rain
About getting more clarity after getting out of body. Try two things,
First try an affirmation. Mentally recite something like, "Clarity Now!" or "Focus Now!".
Second, move away from the physical body as soon as possible. The physical body exerts a very strong pull on the astral/ethereal body and can prematurely end an OBE.

Sincerely
Grey

Well, that IS the problem, that I can't get away. Maybe I am not focused enough on reciting that affirmation...
Thanks for everyone!

you dont think using the brow center more would improve his clarity?

:NoY:

I am trying to stimulate my third eye with sound files, meditation or just being aware of it...

More imagination? I think he was asking about how to get more "clarity" after the exit. Imagination is an exit technique in and of itself, but once out it is NOT what I would recommend.

These complaints of heaviness and poor vision are very common.

I think it is best to improve awareness and clarity during regular daytime activity in order to improve those conditions in the OBE state. Meditation is a good start. Also short walking meditations. Improve diet and reduce alcohol or any other similar substances that one might be ingesting.

That sort of thing.

I haven't been drinking alcohol in six months and I am already a vegetarian :/...

Hi everyone!

I've been trying to have OBEs in the last 2,5 months, and although I had some unusual experiences, I can't seem to overcome some obstacles.
I've been approaching the problem mainly from becoming lucid in a dream or separating from my body upon awakening, because I don't have the opportunity to get enough rest on weekdays, so I can't practice "direct" methods - I am tired all the time and just fall asleep when I try to induce sleep paralysis after sleeping for 4-5 hours.
Anyways, I am becoming lucid more often recently. It's not like I use reality checks or anything, I just spontaneously realize that I am in a dream, but I always lose lucidity after a few minutes. And I don't really have precise control over the experience, my thought do not "materialize" the way I want them. So these lucid dreams come with a relative blurry vision, and end up in a false awakening, and then a subsequent real one.
On the other hand, when I am able to separate from my body upon awakening, I feel so heavy that I can barely move or get away from my body. The only things I can see are shadows, it is like I can't open my eyes. Demanding clarity is not working. And I usually get stuck in a wall or something when I try to get away from my body. It is like I fell through that wall/door, hit the ground, but can't get up/move anymore.
Any suggestions?

I don't want to sound harsh, but before modern medicines, people without sufficiently strong system/immune system died of diseases we can cure today. But people who survive with the help of vaccines and medicines will always get betrayed by their weaker system, they will always get sick easier and this thing builds up with time, so after all, medicines cause more suffering in the long run. I know it is not easy when the story is about your loved ones, but maybe that poor soul chose that purpose for it's recent manifestation to die of a given disease or in an accident, so who can decide, when should modern science intervene?

Interesting perspective. I'm physically female, but many subtleties of my personality and ways of seeing things are more masculin. I have no brothers though, so that can't be anything to do with it in my case. So perhaps this explains it - I'm just not used to being female. :-D

And to answer the original question, I don't think souls have genders. It just wouldn't make sense to me.

I'm glad that there are others sharing my opinion :).

According to Jung our behaviour express (most of the time) the gender of our bodies, but since our souls are genderless (or rather, both-gendered) we suppress the opposite gender of our bodies and it manifests unconsciously, being what we call the animus/anima.
If you're a man your subconscious tends to manifest as feminine (anima)
And if you're a woman your subbie tends to manifest as masculine (animus).
This manifestation takes place in dreams- your animus or anima will present itself to you in dreams.

Of course, this all can be interpreted.

Does reincarnating more often as a male/female cause any imbalance between the two genders :)?

not sure where to post this, this is my first post here and to be honest i don't much care for the layout of this place.

I've been having out of body experiences for some time. I have no control over it. It happens at random. I've read every book on the subject that i can that doesn't read like total new age garbage. If that offends you, sorry. i'm honest. I've read two of robs books and i respect his approach.

My question is about these numbers "11:11". I see them everywhere. Many times a day. Everyday. Everywhere.

Any thoughts on what it means?

Well there is an electronic solo singer named Chiasm. This is the title of her forthcoming album .)....

I think gender is only physical, people can choose to identify with it, or the opposite...or neither.  For being a tiny, delicate woman, I am slightly more masculine than 99% of the males I run into.  It's hard to say if it's because I have an older brother who shaped my brain, or if I've been predominantly male throughout my past incarnations.  It feels like the latter. This is likely my first run as a woman based on my inability to handle "feminine stuff", like menstruating (you may laugh).  I have never fainted...but that occurrence -- on a regular basis -- has driven me closer to blacking out than anything else ever has.  I've been doing this for 16 years!  I'll bet I won't get used to it before I'm menopausal.

Yeah, that one put a smile on my face  :-)...

I think both techniques are about controlling the life force/prana and helping it in its proper flow. Just different names for the same energy and different approaches to "manipulate" it.
Yoga doesn't have to be the more meditative one, there are different branches of yoga which are less or more physically demanding/meditative and they are focused to affect different areas of your life consciously or subconsciously.

Chakras are little vortices that support the life force - prana - in it's circulation in the body. This circulation happens through channels, called nadis, which open from the chakras.
Usually 7 or 8 main chakras are distinguished, but every location which plays a role in energy exchange is a chakra. The main chakras are:

Mooladhara/root chakra
Swadhisthana/sacral chakra
Manipura/navel chakra
Anahata/heart chakra
Vishuddhi/throat chakra
Ajna/third eye
Bindu/moon centre
Sahasrara/crown chakra

These energy exchange centers have corresponding physiological structures related to the nervous system (nerve plexuses, glands) which serve as a trigger point for the given chakra. They are in the spinal cord. It is easier to concentrate on the chakra kshetram, which is located on the front surface of the body, if you want to stimulate them. At least, this is what yogis say :).

Anyways, removing blocks which prevent the prana from flowing is supposed to affect your physical body, emotions, thoughts, behaviour, or it can give you "supernatural" powers - siddhis - such as telekinesis, seeing the future and other similar, nasty stuff.

Do some research on the net regarding to each chakra and their functions, but do not take every source seriously :)!

Well, it is said that you should not try but let it happen :)....

I see those light orbs too, they pop up from nowhere like someone has switched the lights on, but if I stay calm and manage to keep my eyes closed they are definitely there :).
#120
I am very serious about this so not being able to unlearn it is fine by me :). Thx!

Hi everyone!

I just started to practice given methods to achieve "astral projection" and a few days ago a high pitched frequency has arisen during one of my sessions. The things is, I can hear this sound ever since then, no matter what I do. I just need to focus on it for a few secs and it is there in the background. It's not like I'm bothered by it, I just can't turn it off :).

After I started to hear this frequency, the "light particles" I previously observed during noticing have changed. They used to be homogeneous, some kind of light yellow/green in color, but now I can perceive dark blue and dark green colors too.

Did anyone have similar experiences?

Sometimes people tend to feel uncomfortable when they hear about something they can't understand, believe or explain or have no experience with. Try to get over it.  :-)

On the other hand if you decide to follow a specific path be prepared to be or left alone :). Why bother to travel with inappropriate company anyways?

Thx for the information.
#123
Yogis also use this technique - among others - to stimulate their third eye  :-).
#124
Yeah, feel free to do it .). I hope you still know how to use that finger!
#125
I don't understand the "respect me and I will respect you" attitude. If you want to show respect, do it, because you decided this way, not because you are hoping for the same in exchange :). Maybe humans aren't the only race who has to improve here and there :).

On the other hand, I know nothing about satyrs. Could you tell me about yourself? And why did you let them discover your powers? You should have known what humans are capable of :/. Or what they were going to do with you. It seems that you had gotten yourself into that trouble.
