That's cool!

I have read of numerous accounts of people saying that they felt like they were flying next to a plane.

Also there have been numerous accounts of piolets that suddenly found themselves flying outside of their plane, and looking in the window at themselves flying that plane.

Wow, Bissfull, and thanks,

I have felt the same thing, and have decided to take a short break, but was afraid I was making excuses to myself.  Your input has confirmed what my intuition was telling me.  Thank you for reading and posting.  You usually have good words of wisdom.

Please continue with this dialog, if it progresses.

Really? Well when I was there I did get the distict feeling that it was in the past, but only in the 1970's or somethin, I was born in 1980. I never really thought of past life stuff, because i never really regarded it as realistic.. but I guess it would explain a few things..

Oh yes, I have many memories of my past lives, and have always been a believer.  Now a great many of our modern scientists, and psychologists, are acknowledging it.  Many in part of the tremendous amount of scientific research that has been done over that last couple of decades.

Basically they have concluded that no one case in particular is enough evidence to prove it.  But that the overwhelming amount of evidence combined is irrefutable.

I personally would do allot of soul searching and unjudgmental thinking about it if it were me.  I am sure there are many posts here that have info or books to read.

Thanks MajorTom, I have been thinking allot about that lately and have been wanting to rent that movie and watch it again.

When you had this meditation experience, what did you do, technique wise? Did you all use your own meditation techniques and just end up in the same place? And did you have the feeling that you left your body? This seems more like what we term a 'phasing' experience. Very neat.

No we all used the same meditation technique, as one of us was the teacher to the other two.  (Not me, I was the newbie)  And yes, I think it was more like phasing than a traditional OBE.  From what I have been able to gather reading these forums, phasing seems to take you instantly to a different (perhaps higher) level of the OBE planes.  As I tend to think that there are several levels.  The realism of each is different.

No there were no leaving or re-entry feelings.  Although there was a definite knowing that we were out of our bodies, on a level never before experienced.

MajorTom, you have done phasing haven't you?  Please interject the different feelings of entering or exiting that you have experienced.

Thanks,

Fascinating.  I have spoke on other posts, about an intense spiritual learning I underwent back in the 80's.  (Aaahhh the 80's)[:D]

I was co-creating, and co-learning with two other people.  On several (about 6-8) different times, we came to a group problem that we needed to figure out.  We, at the same time,  went into different meditations.  We traveled through a tunnel like in that movie, where they build two different machines where they drop this big ball and the actress was inside, and she mentally traveled through this varying tunnel, oh what was the name of that movie?[}:)]

Any how, I went to a place where we met 10 other people, the three of us made it 13, and we called it the council of 13.  Anyway, I/we discussed our issues with the other 10 there, and they gave us direction of what we needed to do.

We all three woke up at the same time.  Each and every time we had in-depth conversations about it, and we all had the exact same experience simultaneously!  At first it totally blew our minds, then over time, we accepted it as real.

The point being, that we had NO preconceived notions.  Only a conscious understanding of what our problem was, and a group desire to find an answer.  If we each had our own ideas of what to expect, we probably would have had three different experiences.

So I believe that it is important to let go of what we think/want/believe will happen.  Just go in with an open mind.  It is like going to a yard sale.  You don't go there expecting to find something in particular, you just go to see what is there.  If you then find something you want you buy it.  If there is nothing there you want, you leave.  Plain and simple.

As I am writing this it just dawned on me.  Lately I have been having troubles progressing.  I now realize that I was going in expecting for a certain outcome to happen.  When I went in before with a "blank" mind, I had progress.  The two must be connected.  Will have to experiment with this further.  Funny how you can try to answer someone else question and find the answer to your own.

MajorTom, you have posted on my other post regarding my now lack of progress, what do you think?[?]

I smoked pot back in the 80's when I was learning spiritual and psychic stuff.  I found it to be very helpful in my allowing myself to let go of conventional thinking and opening my mind to more spiritual things.

As far as pot and an OBE.  One time myself and one other person smoked an entire quarter bag.  I passed out and had an awesome OBE I flew up out and around the room for a while.  Then I flew around my town, then I flew straight up.  I wanted to go to Alpha Centauri, and I did.  I flew through dozens of different Galaxies and Solar Systems.  It was a visual delight that is difficult to explain.  Then I went and met with my Guides and had some pretty intense conversations.  They really helped me to open my mind.

Note: All of those things were done consciously and intentionally.  I just thought I want to do this, and did.  Some will believe, and others will just say it was a bad trip.  But gopherboy455 wanted to know others experiences, so here it is. [:D]

I think it is possible that the dreams you are having are from a past life.  If they are that real.  What time frame were the dreams in?  Look at cars, clothes, and other things.  This should give you a good idea about what year it is.  Also next time you have one of these dreams try to find a mirror, like in a bathroom or something.  Look at your own reflection and see what you look like.  Is it you or someone else?

Past life experiences, have been so well documented in hundreds of case studies that they have basically been scientifically proven.

Joachim Wolf goes in depth about them in his awesome book "Understanding the Grand Design.  Here is a link for him.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Happy Mothers Day
May 09, 2004, 17:52:17
Yes Logic that might be true, as all holidays are in some respect or another, a corporate manipulation to get our all mighty dollar.

(Oh don't get me started on that one!)

But call your mother and wish her Happy Mothers day any way.  (As long as she is still alive, if not sorry).  Then be appreciative for all mothers everywhere.

Thanks Nay for helping me to learn more about forum protocol.  Sorry I put it in the wrong place.

Funny now that I think about it.  When I was younger I used to have flying dreams at night all the time.  When I started reading about Astral projection I became convinced from what I learned that several of the "dreams" were actually RTZ because of the conditions.  I never felt the wind when I was flying, but had the feeling of landing on the ground as it was solid.  I also know what it feels like to fly through tree branches on accident.  It feels like you would think, but have no pain or physical damage.
#113
I have heard of many people reporting having sex during an OBE.  They claim that the feeling sensations were very real.

I have not had any physical feelings in any of my OBE'S, but my psychic(?)  feelings were greatly enhanced.  I think it would probably have to do with what your intent was.

For example if you wanted to fly to the center of the Earth and feel the heat, you would probably feel it as much as you wanted, but others have spoken of built in safety devices that would stop you before you allowed yourself to feel enough heat to do damage to yourself.  Perhaps flying to the North Pole and experimenting on letting yourself feel cold would be a good way to start.

Aaahhhhh yes, feeling, and letting go.  I understand.

Does anyone else have the vibrations that are physical like a seizure?

Your welcome.[:)]

A few years ago I read an excellent book by Nancy O'Connor, PHD.  It is called How to grow up when your grown up, achieving balance in adulthood."  It helped me learn allot about myself.  And always a classic "How to win friends and influence people" By Dale Carnige.  I know a lady who makes a really good living speaking to people.  She once told me that everyone should read that book at least once a year.  Her husband read it once a month for six months, and totally changed his personality.  He is now loved my hundreds.

Glad to see another person open minded about making themselves a better person.  There could be an entire forum about this one topic alone.  Who knows in a few years you could write your own book and become the next Dr. Phil[:D]

Have you asked your sister or brother if they had any dreams that night? [:D] If not it would be interesting to find out if they had any dreams that were similar.  There are allot of discussions on other parts of this board where people talk about sharing dreams.

Madrox,

The OBE's that I have had, I have only left my house one time.

I have been reading on and off for years about Astral Travel.  I would say it is quite possible that you did leave your body.  I think there is several levels in the dream stage.  Also there are several levels in the Astral stage.  It seems to me that there are a couple of levels where higher dream stage, and lower Astral stages overlap.  Where one is both dreaming and Astrally traveling at the same time.

That is what it sounds like happened to you.  Next time glance back at your bed to see if you are there also.  And you will know exactly what is going on.[:D]

Yes I read it.  It was so different then what happens to me I guess I did not relate to it very much.  Although, every time I get to the hypnogigic stage, the colors are always varying shades of purple.  I thought seriously about starting a thread where people talked about the colors they see, if they are specific.  But got sidetracked.

Is that the only time you saw colors?  And if not, what other colors have you seen, or is it always purple?

Outstanding.  Thats all I can say.

To look at your issues head on, admit that they may not be the best, and to decide to work on yourself.  Excellent step in the evolution process my friend.

I let on the simplicity and easiness of projection, I would let on the fact that no one needs me, which was very scary and an affront to my ego self that wanted to be the 'grand puumba', in control, ahead, leading, in charge, all-knowing, worshipped, sought after, etc.

In ALL of the movies and TV shows I have ever watched where there was an "ascended" master and student.  Many times the students were loud, they NEEDED to be heard.

The masters were quiet and soft spoken, they had evolved past the need to be heard.

Everyone is diferent though, but hopefully you find an avenue to continue. I myself would be quite pleased with being able to induce vibrations like you or any other type of pre-exit sensation, which I find very difficult to reach, yet I find it very easy to get out.

One of the theories that I came up with.  I noticed that as we learned to go through the stages, that some of them did not seem to come back.  You have probably evolved to a stage past the vibrations and no longer need them.  So perhaps there is no need for you to experience Pre-exit stages?[:D]

Thanks for the link Tom, after reading it, I now see that lately, I really start to argue with myself about this being a waste of time, not going to happen, just get up, etc.

Perhaps there is some form of conscious blocking device at work here.  With that knowledge, comes the power.  Will put it to work and see what happens.

quote:
From my experience one of the things that you can do to "get you out" upon feelin the vibes is to FEEL as if you are getting up or sliding out, rolling out, any feeling of body movement leaving from your body in bed. It may sound simplistic but it works for me and others i have spoken to.

LOL, wish that were true for me.  Never produced any results.  The handful of times I got out, I had the seizure type of vibrations, and they just threw me out.

And yes, I do all my work in the morning also.  Thanks everyone, but does anyone have more specific answers about my question?  Is this having a block thing common?

Hi Blissful,

You and others have talked about OOBE and OBE.  You just talked about both in the same paragraph.  At first I thought it was just two different ways to say the same thing.  You know, tomato, tamato?  Is there a difference between OOBE and OBE?  What does the second "O" stand for?

Thanks,

I think you had, what I call, a bioenergetic diplanar lucid manifestation (or BDLM). In english, the oil caused your mind to project two copies of conscious energy, one extremely dense, the other naturally expanded (in terms of etheric concentration). The dense copy was physical enough to become a semi-tangable and lucid entity, meanwhile, the invisible real-time double was actually the back-bone supporting the physical manifestation.

Wow, ok what is that?  What does it mean, is there anyplace on the web that has more of this information?[:D][:D]

Thanks,

Yeah I see where you're coming from. But let's be honest, you only jumped off that diving board because you was afraid of the humiliation that you would face if you'd chickened out instead. If it was that easy, then how come I haven't overcome my other biggest fear - spiders?

Quite right ol chap.

The point is I found a motivation that was stronger than my fears.  What do you do when you see a spider?  Run away?  Or run over and victoriously kill it?  Rent the movie 8 legged freaks to find out how much fun it is to kill the little buggers.

I was afraid of scorpions for the longest time would find one or two a month in my house.  Then I got stung on my forehead.  Sure it hurt, but NOWHERE near what I was afraid that it would.  I still kill everyone I see, but I know what it feels like, and that I will be ok.

Perhaps if you decided that you wanted to fly in AP or what ever you are most excited about.  You could think about that and gain your motivation.

quote:
But I also know that the longer I leave it, the worse my fear will get. I mean, for example, I'm deathly afraid of spiders, and I still haven't managed to shake off that fear. So I don't want my fear of what I might see in the astral to grow so big that I can't deal with it. This isn't about "chicken out and you'll face humiliation". I suspect that once I overcome my fear, it will be more enjoyable for me.

Realize fear for what it is.  Break it down into basics.  It is only an emotion.  Like love is.  Realize it is only an emotion, and that you can overcome any emotion with logic or the power of your thought.

Also have you read the sticky links about reasons why OBE should not be feared?

Ok I suspect that you afraid that you will OBE and find this giant spider there to attack you?  What if you charged yourself up to go to battle and went in and killed the spider, I wonder if you would loose your fear of them in the real world?

Has any one heard about people using OBE to over come phobias?
