I did my own experiments and thinking.  I found heavy red meat needed to go, and I'm a biggish sized guy. But that stuff stays in the system longer than any other food. Apart from MacDonald's plastic trash.

Quality is real important for sure. Now I'm using chicken, fish and lots of veg/fruit where I can. It feels right at this stage. But I'm only doing healing and simple energy work rather than trying for enlightenment :-). Easier that way for me.

My brother who sees energy confirmed the energy "spirit" thing in cars, and boats. and my mates motorbike :-) This probably belongs elsewhere

I have a number of these going as well. Not sure how I'm going to distribute them :-) hehe..maybe to folks I agree with? nah... just ask, see you catch me :-)

I got 6 the first time I saw this elsewhere. Of coursse you only have my word for this. Is this significant spotting all 6 before reading on and finding out the "why" people spot 3 normally thing?

I'm glad that the 3 doctors and the psychiatrist who all really believed I should use antidepressants of various kinds were wrong in my case. The problem with labels and definitions is that they get these things wrong tooo often.  And that they are not recommending any multidisciplinary approaches - at least not in my case.

Maybe they should consider creating places of peace and variety for those patients who do seem to need that help, places where multiple disciplines from dietary and nutritional, to sports, social, educational/work and healing practices are all combined.

Do it matter that he doesn't believe it?  Just concentrate on what your experiencing and work with that. It's not worth worrying too much about working to too many other people's beliefs :-) Just try out stuff, find what works for you.

The others are right i would say from my own experience

The maths thing in part is a matter of imagination and how you perceive the whole concept of maths. I was distinctly average at maths. Yet concepts were easy enough,  I just didn't have the patience to attempt to apply them.
I've taken (even though I'm 27 now and don't *need* it) a few private lessons with a decent mathamatician who uses it all the time in his job. My first lesson got me through the basic concepts of calculous and why certain functions were -1 to +1 etc, in the process he explain radians to me.  In an hour and a half, the time flew because we were both real interested in what we were doing!.   Maths is hard unless you suddenly get interested and find an approach, a way in.

I found programming totally incomprehensible, until a damned decent teacher managed to connect and explain it. Turns out he was kinaesthetic primarily too.
A way in mentally is all you need, usually a real good one on one teacher. I'd say more but I'm real drunk here :-))

Oh man not another one!

What a pile of ****!. I'm sorry but NO WAY but NO [edit] way is this true. I'm not even going to be politically correct and "allow" for all beliefs here. This is totally nuts.

Quote
Breaking any of Gods Laws means that on your Judgement Day You will be guilty and the punishment is separation from God for all eternity

I feel so strongly about this IequalMC2 I had to keep rewriting this reply to get rid of all my profanities. This is one time where I'll be arrogant sounding and state YOU ARE WRONG if you believe this twoddle.!
It MAKES ZERO sense. None. God is NOT going to create beings that can be suddenly punished for eternity for some rule that some human has wrote down.
gah.....
wonders off into incomprehensible ramblings and grumblings..

Damned trolls...

Oh yeah, apologies to anyone who gets deeply offended but I still can't understand what made me so ANGRY about this post.  But something has, really deeply furious. Unusual for me as I'm pretty agnostic. Something repellant about some of the concepts. Stupid eternal punishment nonsense maybe...I know how I'd feel if someone EVER tried to preach that to my face. I would NOT be at all nice.

Hey I love cars, it's just a shame there's a)so many idiots driving them b) they get misused AND overused and worst of all c) they won't put enough effort into using clean-hydrogen cell and similar type technologies.

Oh and killing pedestrians is part of the misuse of course.
I was taught cyclists were fair games :-) hehe J/K!

I actually found that machines like cars seem to acquire some kind of "spirit" or energy from being handled and paid attention to-especially "love" or something. :-)

IequalMC2 Why on Earth do you have to speak in this goddammed arrogant pseudomystical nonsense manner? I think it's nonsense, your trying to seem mystical and cryptically sophisticated in the "read this very carefully" manner. It's complete poppycock. Speak like someone who has something to say, and say it in nice plain English, lose the pseuoo-clever-mystic ****! :-).

It's nice to see the idea of believing in God, and a more than open tolerance to multiple paths in one place :-).  I gotta work on being more tolerant of die hard fundementalists...maybe I should pray for that.  LOL Only I don't pray :-), but I think you two guys are right. There is something that can be possibly described as God, a higher power or something :-).

I've started going to a local small group doing kundalini yoga. My feeling from her class was that I was being taught physical exercises that would get things moving. Useful, and I found easy to get the heat to come. Only my sex drive went up loads the following day :-).  I'll be doing that again next week.

Welcome to Magic! / Magic in types
February 25, 2005, 02:00:37
That was a pretty confusing question.  Life magery would cover defensive work as far as I can tell. Forms of black magic and also chaos magic could be used in this way.

Don't pick fights with demons or any entity unless you or someone you are helping are being attacked that way. Even then have a real think about how to influence that entity to lay of and bugger off.

For me to consider attacking someone with magic, it would have to be life or death really-with me or my loved ones and even then with magic I'd more likely be better off with a knife, bludgeon or gun or even car LOL.  That's not to say that I'm certain it's impossible, just not exactly convenient especially if you have ever taken on board three fold return or similar concepts. Your deep beliefs about yourself and the world seriously well totally impact all your results.

Well I watched most of the exorcism program last night on channel 4. Interestingly the stuff about the pariatal lobe came up on there along with hemispheric dysync.

Seems to me that the tools we use to interact with this world-our physical brains are setup for mystical experiences-regardless of faith.

Maybe this is a reason that religions should stop being in conflict and admit to each other that most of them have validity for their followers equally and leave out the evangelism of any kind? Throw out the evangilism  or at least what I'm calling evangilism- the need to convert and persuade people all the time, and just be there willing to wait for folks to come to them in their own time? That's what the Islamic Sufi do.. they are willing to share but not push it to anyone.

I'm interested myself because I'd like to find out more of the biology behind experiences I've had and may well have more of.  Though the article mentions that just because an experience leaves a trace on the brain doesn't mean it's from the brain.

http://www.cognitiveliberty.org/neuro/neuronewswk.htm

It's a worthwhile browse.

QuoteA neuroscientist with too much time on his hands could  undoubtedly produce a PET scan of "your brain on apple pie." But that does not negate the reality of the pie. "The  fact that spiritual experiences can be associated with distinct neural activity does not necessarily mean that  such experiences are mere neurological illusions,"

a snippet :-)

Those kind of fundementalists have given up their humanity completely to a twisted screwed up VERSION of a religion. I feel sorry for them, but I cannot help the burst of anger that I feel also, even though I should know better.  Those sorts of people do nothing positive for anyone not even themselves.

I think maybe he's referring to an extreme form of psychosurgery perhaps? I know in times gone by, slicing bits out of the brain was one way of attempting to treat various kinds of madness.
Only is there such a thing as a pain centre? Isn't pain registered in more than one site due to the reaction of a certain chemical being released at the site of injury? I forget the neurotransmitter name.
You could go one better, use something to block all endorphin production and also switch off the functionality of opiate receptors in the brain. Then get with the flaying..that could be worse :-).

I finally believe something exists, as I've detailed elsewhere from recent experiences. None of those experiences compel me to get into religion, something I am grateful for. I really don't want to be a part of any one particular faith, even though I'm happy now with the idea of a "higher power" of some description.

That's as much as I need to know actually, along with the fact I know that it's kinda contactable(ish), or at least a sense of touching the smallest part of it perhaps.. Either way, the whole religion debate thing has suddenly felt irrelevant.  Of course it's still fun though :-).  but I'm gonna feel a whole lot of satisfying very unspiritual ego boost the next time a Jehovah's witness knocks the door and asks me if I've found God...hehe,

Ok I did it again :-). Just now, not as strongly as in the car but I got the tears again.  It seemed to have something to do with my desire to perform healing work more strongly I think.  Still one day maybe I'll know fully what it means. All I know it feels right and that I have to continue to build on it for sure. I'm connecting to something, but not sure what precisely. This was at a lower level than in the first post so maybe I connected to myself perhaps..who know..

Look at your diet, look at your exercise, look at your sleep patterns, social life and work habits. Firstly.

Then consider using something NEW to train your energy body, and learn to control and store your energy. NEW in conjunction with chi kung/tai chi or kundalini yoga would be very helpful here.

As to the above, seriously check out how your eating, sleeping, exercising (including any exercise related to having to work) and stimulation-social etc.

I second this one.
For me I feel fundementalists are right-for themselves.

They are very wrong if they are of the mindset that believes all should follow what they do.

For them their beliefs are correct and support them in their life perhaps. I would never ever change my beliefs to match a religion at any cost-apart from one thing ONLY.  Personal experience and consistent revelation that a precise religious belief was true.  I've had "religous" type experiences, none of them persuaded me to follow any fundemental style structure. I can't even put labels on most of what I felt.  So i won't. I won't try to instruct anyone else how to do it, or get anyone to believe as I do. I will tell my story in the right place. Here and to anyone who asks. But it's a story. My story. Not something for anyone else to ever follow.
#123
That's the Tao for you!

Interesting answers folks.
I've sort of found some purpose in training my energy work to a higher pitch, to enable me to perform healing and other things involving the energy at a higher level. When I say higher I mean stronger I guess. :-).

Thank you GuardianMasterAngel :-). Your appreciation is appreciated.
Now I just hope to get the oppurtunity to connect again to whatever it was :-).
