Hi Rastus,

I hope you don't mind but I sent you an email earlier.
Anyway, my problem was my mind was fixed in the physical: I was worried if I didn't hang on to the car and change gear the car would either flip over or plummet straight down!  Which obviously makes a nonsense of trying to hang on to the damn thing but I can't be held responsible for my dreams!  I think there were hidden meanings in it though and hopefully I can overcome this physical barrier soon.

After spending 30-odd years being taught to condition my mind to be logical and to think of several things at once, it is hard to wipe out this "programming" in one go!

Awareness, or trying to stop my mind chattering, is another thing I have problems with at the moment.  The more I try and focus and be aware, the more I realize I am not! LOL I even left all my shopping outside the front door all day earlier this week.

Thanks Nay, I agree with you 100% which is why I stopped using it, and MysticWeb.  But when I signed up for their AP course (which incidentally helped me not one little bit) I didn't know any better!  Whether or not these conjurations are alright or not (I'm inclined to think not), I'd prefer not to dabble in what I know nowt about. Nuff said!  Thanks for the suggestion to surround yourself with divine light, this sounds much better and safer.

Yeah, well, I probably should have willed myself through or around the wardrobes, or flown through, but stupidly tried to walk as I would in the physical, thereby getting hopelessly tangled up, not to say frustrated!  Maybe I should write down an intent to go through the wardrobe - I always liked the idea of Narnia too!

I agree that wanting to AP too much can be a hindrance, I have been hung up here myself for a while.  I have had a couple of experiences, the furthest I got (apart from an accidental AP whilst meditating a few years ago and some other experiences when I was younger and didn't realize I was AP[:(], ) was getting tangled up by my wardrobe lol.

I definitely agree that you should read NEW Energy Ways; I have just started reading it and have no doubt that I will project easily very soon now.  I have been aware for a while that I had a blockage in the solar plexus area but no idea how to clear it - the last week or so I had been waking up feeling like I had been punched there [B)], it was very sore.  This is now going, as well as other blockages I didn't know I had.  In fact I think I would have been able to AP last night as my body was so full of energy I felt like I was floating and it would have been so easy to just float right out of my body, but I had had a drink & a smoke [;)] so was a little wary of going all the way in case the indulging sent me to nasty places... (otherwise I am not scared).

I had an interesting LD a short while ago as well - I was driving a car up a hill which got steeper and steeper until it was vertical, I was trying to keep my feet on the pedals and change to a lower gear whilst hanging on to the sides of the car (through the open windows), then I realized I was dreaming.  My usual technique from an LD (this is the only way I have been able to leave as yet) is once I realize I am dreaming (and usually I raise my hands into the air at this point) I shout out: "RAISE MY VIBRATIONS NOW!"  This generally does the trick, I feel myself spinning round and round on my back accompanied by a rush of air in my ears like being in the middle of a whirlwind, then I can leave my body.  On this occasion (and one other similar) it didn't work, and no wonder! When I opened my eyes and checked my physical body all my muscles were tensed up as if I didn't trust to let go of the car.

This dream, after a few days thinking about it, gave me the realization that:

a) I am on an uphill road because I haven't learned to let go

b) All I have to do is to learn to let go and trust my higher self to look after me

c) Let go of the physical, as the physical laws do not apply in the astral. (if I had done this, I would have got further than my wardrobe on the last occasion as well!)

In other words, the road does not have to go steeply uphill if you can learn to let go.  In my dream I should have let go of the car and trusted, rather than knowing without trusting (i.e. I couldn't bring myself to let go of the car).  But next time hopefully I will!

I hope this helps, and I definitely think you should read NEW to get your energy up and balanced before trying again, this should only take you a day or two to get started; my energy went way up after just one day on this (yesterday was day 2), and you will probably project without even having to think about it, as I am sure I would have last night if I hadn't stopped it.

Funnily enough, MysticWeb advocate using Raom Gaom (no I am NOT recommending MysticWeb, simply stating a fact). They say that the pronunciation of these vowels stimulate the chakras in a certain way to aid memory.  Personally, although I did find this to work for me at first, I am a little wary of chants, conjurations etc as I do not know enough about them as yet so do not want to take the chance of encouraging negs etc.  I don't use it much any more, just lie in bed trying to think "I was with... I did... I went..." (MysticWeb also recommend this). Sometimes it comes to me, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes I think it hasn't then all of a sudden it comes to me 2 or 3 hours later when I'm up! I think the Raom Gaom mantra is probably helpful initially, if only to condition your mind, a bit like a knot in your hanky!

ImmuredSoul:
The book "Psychic Warrior" was written by David Morehouse and it is an excellent read.  It is an autobiography and describes his life starting with how, as a soldier, he was hit by a stray bullet (luckily he was wearing a helmet!) on his third eye which opened it up/activated it, leading to psychic experiences.  He was then recruited by the CIA and Defence Dept into a top-secret project called Stargate which trained viewers to project to predetermined times/locations, also universes; in other words these viewers were trained as psychic spies.  They were also given some very interesting locations with non-military objectives as part of their training and to validate their experiences with other viewers (examples of these are the Ark of the Covenent, the Nazi concentration camps, and another universe).  I believe this was part remote viewing, part astral projection.  When the project began training into remote influencing he then exposed Stargate.  You should definitely buy or borrow this book if possible.
