Welcome to Metaphysics! / Practice
October 15, 2004, 09:37:11
Early on, a friend suggest to me that I join others in a particular focus on this administration.  It's just focus and:  "Let the Light shine.  Let it be revealed."

No matter what clever things people get up to -- in or out of body, psychics or strategists, the simple truth tends to sort it all out.

Trouble is, three fold law and all, when you summon truth for others you have to be willing to deal with it yourself.

Let the Light shine.  Let it be revealed.

It's all just unfolding anyway.

I'm very much interested.

The best resource I have found to date is Karla McLaren.  I would be interested in what resources others have found in this area.

EMOTIONAL GENIUS: Discovering the Deepest Language of the Soul
by Karla McLaren
This book explores the emotions - not as problems or signs of imbalance - but as the deepest, most honest energetic tools we have. It contains grounded, five element information, exercises, meditations, and empathic communications from the heart of each emotion, including happiness, rage, envy, panic, joy, grief, and even the suicidal urge. With this book, you will learn to work with - instead of against - the water element that lives inside you, and in so doing, you will be able to restore your soul and revitalize your life.

Quote from: TheDarkApprentice(Don't know the right topic for this)

I suffer from quite a bit Social anxiety.

i am not comfortable around people I don't know. Infact, I am a totally different person. Around people I know, I'm loud and obnoxious and always want to have a good time. But around people i don't know so well or don't talk to often, i am totally quiet and suffer from making small talk. This is a big problem for me.

Like right now, I haven't gone to school for the last 3 weeks. The last have of last year I had to get a tutor because I didn't want to go to school. Right now i'm looking for some type of homeschooling or tutoring, but it cost a lot of money and what not.

I don't know what to do. It's not that I want to fit in with society and others. but I just want someone to talk too. I mean it sucks sitting in a class at school and doodling on my notebook the whole day. I really like being alone and individual a lot of the time, belive me I do. Sometimes I just like to stay ghome, away from my friends, and just chill out and watch TV.

But the school part is really dificult for me. I'm taking ADs and meds to help with my sleep, but i don't really know if this help. I'm turning 17 in a few weeks and I havent even had a real job except for a paper route which I sadly still have. Don't have a car. I'm pretty pathetic.

I just wanted to know if you guys had suggestions on anything. Or if theres is a specific type of energy work or even healing tht could help with some of these issuses. Specificly Social anxiety, sleep problems, and memory problems.

Thanks

If you are taking antidepressants, is there some reason you're not prescribed anti-anxiety meds as well?  Or maybe instead?  If you have already been out for 3 weeks, as you know it gets harder and the meds may help with the transition back.

Brain chemistry is an interesting thing and once anxiety (or a handful of other things) reaches a particular chemical cocktail mix, it's hard to just get things sorted out with attitude and energy  work.

Karla MacLaren (my hero) has good stuff in both Energetic Boundaries and Emotional Genius  including exercises to build shields and guides for sorting out how to balance what's unbalanced in your life and identify why you might have certain challenges.

I found a handful of things that helped when I was in high school.  Even though it was a long time ago for me, here they are in case anything can help:

Notice that you're not alone in your isolation.  Lots of people are in social anxiety hell in high school.  Some of the most amazing people are also feeling what you're feeling.  Somehow noticing those people made it easier for me.

Reframe the school experience as a role playing game.  It's helps you to take it less seriously.  Spot individuals that are not among the "in group" but who you think you might like to emulate and simply "role play" being THEM.  It's amazing how much we can learn that way.

Sort out what's YOURS and what's NOT YOURS.  Even if you can't figure it out, realizing that a lot of what you are going through might not even be your "stuff"  Out here on AP are a lot of talented, gifted people.  It could be you ground the floating anxiety of a whole school full of people.  When anxiety comes up and around -- as yourself "is this mine?"  For many people, just realizing that a lot of the negative feelings they experience are really somebody else's frees them entirely.

If you are comfortable around people you DO know, can they help you over the rough spots in school?

Hard to believe, but talking to individual teachers about the problem helped me more than anything else.  The hardest was actually managing to talk to the FIRST teacher -- and picking who.  Some of them can make it easier for you if they choose, and more of them are willing to give it a shot at helping.  Help from teachers helped me to unobtrusively locate myself as close to the door as possible and as far away from other people as possible -- without being obvious about it.  Also, teachers can inadvertently make this sorts of anxiety problems worse if they think you just don't care instead of getting a "head's up" about what's going on.  It's always risky elisting help, but actually deciding to roll the dice and then dealing with the outcome of the toss -- good or bad -- is one of the ways you get unstuck from anxiety.  That's the irony -- it's not really fear, it's stuckness awash in fear.

I never found school guidance counselors to be much help, but that doesn't mean your school might not have someone helpful.

A problem with school you might consider . . . some people are kinesthetics and need more "movement" than the school structure allows.  Energy gets built up too high sitting in class, and then when you move between classes, there's this disruptive painful release -- but not enough for you to get "set"  and ready for the next class.  If you think that might be part of it, some sort of active energy grounding and release practice could make a big difference.

I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through this.  It's a tough thing.  Don't give up and don't give in.  Keep at it.  Just getting out of high school can make things totally different.

Reframe "pathetic."  Most people with the level of social anxiety you have described wouldn't have the courage and strength and follow through to do that paper route.  Count your successes with some accuracy!

Quote from: Nay[  I sometimes wonder if my stomach problems are due to me dealing with things in my life..or not dealing with them I should say. Nay

Nay,

Once again, just passing on what I've been told by healers and those involved in intense healing --

I have been told that true stomach problems are related to dilmenas of power/order/judgement/discernment, especially control issue (even good control issues)

Sometimes they say this is a battleground between our heart chakra issues (interconnectedness with others) and our 2nd chakra needs for feeling with our own emotions and dealing with them.  In our culture that can seem really hard to resolve.

Quote from: Naiad780Does anyone know of a good reference (website or book) that gives suggestions about how chronic pain and illnesses can be treated with specific emotional healing?  For instance (and this is just an example) if someone has chronic lower back pain, what kind of emotion might they be suppressing or not dealing with?

I have seen books like this but can't recall what they are right now.  I know that it will be different for everyone, but it helps to have a starting place when you're trying to sort through things.

Some chiropractors use systems that can be astonishingly effective at helping with this, but you kind of have to pick and choose to find the right one.

I have always been told by my healers that low back pain is related to "feeling unsupported in life" and is often related to TMJ problems which are linked to "unspoken words" that need to be spoken.

Louise Hay You Can Heal Your Life used to be the basic reference for people interested in the physical/emotional/metaphysical links.  Most people I knew never read the whole book, just used the reference lists at the back.

I think the field has come a long way since then altho this isn't my area (although perhaps it should be)

People I work with now really like John Sarno The Mind Body Prescription and The Mind Body Workbook  I have not read them so have no personal experience.

When I do energy readings, I'm sometimes aware of an 8th chakra above people's heads.  The color I experience is what I call elecktrum -- it's a silvery-gold color and shaped a little like a koosh ball.  Since you say there are three and two of them are silver and gold respectively, I'm not sure that I'm not mixing them together in my perception.

In my personal experience, sometimes this is active in people very new to metaphysical growth and development, and in some highly developed people I don't notice it at all.  (The way my "sight" works, this doesn't necessarily mean that it's not there and active in advanced people, there are a number of reasons it might drop below threshold for me and not be noticed if there's lots of other stuff going on)

What I have noticed in the less evolved people where the 8th chakra is obvious, is that for whatever reason they're drawing their energy from the cosmos and not from the earth.

And that's all I can tell you about the view from the bleachers.

Quote from: Naiad780I had an unexpected vision of me fleeing up into the leaves of a walnut tree.   Because the tree had a different frequency than the negative things that followed me, they left.

THANKS.  For some reason this has real resonance.  I don't understand it with my thinking mind, but most of the stuff that really works for me I don't understand with thoughts.

Somewhere in this tree description is a major key for me.

I really appreciate it.

Quote from: Naiad780Chimarae, have you tried working with shielding?

Thanks for the suggestion.  I have tried lots of different kinds of shielding with various levels of success.

What works best is to have gifted people around with tight energy packages.

Past that, shielding using malachite, black tourmaline, bloodstone, or lapis has helped alot but no one stone works all the time.  For a couple of years, a dragon pendant someone gave me worked but over the course of a couple of months it's effectiveness just drifted away.

In recent years, I have had the best luck with learning to change my vibration so that I'm incompatible with the frequencies but whenever I get tired (coffee/sugar of course contribute once I start getting tired) I slip back.  So I'm most defenseless when I need the most defense.

Did you have specific shielding in mind to suggest?

I'm a natural empath and psychic.  Most of my practice has been about learning how NOT to hear and how NOT to astral travel.

Caffeine radically reduces my psychic reception -- almost to the point of being manageable.  Like a diabetic who's close friends know about insulin and small candy, my close friends know to get me a cup of coffee if we are in a heavily populated area and I get that increasing "deer in the headlights" look.

If somehow I overdo too much and expend too much psychic energy (like unintentionally putting my energy into healing a geographic area)  sugar seems to haul me back from the brink but at a really bad ratio.  It's like I get 1% genuine energy benefit out of the sugar.  It's enough though, that I can then tap into the real source and right myself.

I rarely screw up enough to need to resort to sugar for energy help, but the caffeine crutch is nearly constant, especially when I have to be in intensely populated areas or need to focus on something extended in the material world -- say paperwork or numbers.  Energetic focus or astral focus is never a problem.

I offer this info as a "flip side of the coin" to the question here about cleaning up diet.

I'm also looking for suggestions.  The down side of caffeine and sugar in my life is too high a price to pay, but so far I have no other workable options.

Any suggestions, even if they seem silly, would be greatly appreciated.

Reading the feedback to Naiad780 on computer drain, dawned on me that someone here might know the answer to an old problem.

Anybody have any idea why I would have a nearly lifelong tendency to get sucked out body unintentially right around 3 pm?  It's not every day, but it happens with enough consistency that people who don't know anything about energy work have noticed and commented.

I try to avoid scheduling anything intense between 2:00 and 6:00 in the afternoon.  Psychic work is the exception.  It's harder on me then and recovery is a grump, but clients get great stuff if sessions are in one of those "out" periods.

This goes back to childhood (and that a LONG TIME ago!!!)

hello every one can someone please tell me what you think is going to happen in 2012 like if demons are going to make war on this planet or that there is nothing to worry about because nothings going to happen. would you please tell me your thoughts.

Wanted to see if I could answer your question "what you think. . ."  I'm sorry if this has been covered, but I just don't have it in me to read through all the replies that bounce off like tangents.  So this may be old news.

I have no source for this except my own feel and guides oblique coaching.  No reference material backs me up.  However, you asked for OPIONIONS, so for what it's worth.

The demons are here already.  I don't know if they've always been here or not. but the population density has certainly increased.

Not all of what people call demons are the incredibly evil whatsits of Christian mythology.  Lots of what get smacked with that label are just a whole variety of spirits that do not feel that humans are the top of the food chain.  These sorts of non evil spirits are also increasing in population density.  And they're increasingly cranky and motivated to act out their crankiness overtly, so it kind of blurs the perceptual lines.

Unlike lots of people here, I have had to unfortunately conclude that the stuff of demons that the Christians talk about that I was ABSOULUTELY POSITIVE was fantasy, do rarely exist.  I so hope I'm wrong and it was just a lack of evolution on my part but . . . thems NASTY.

Good news though, we're already in the midst of the changes that 2011 is all about.  (Yep, I feel like it's 2011, not 2012)  No sense in worrying about 2011, 'cause you're already engaged in the change just cause you're here now and aware.

I have the strongest sense that there's a very specific split in human consciousness right now.  What looks like good and bad has nothing to do with the real sort -- it's all in the heart and mind and ????.  You're either on path or you're off, and it doesn't really matter past that.  Everybodys paths right now head off into weird territory -- and it's gonna get weirder -- because the whole point right now is the clarification of Choice that's getting us all ready for some kind of breakthrough.  I don't know what the breakthrough will look like just that the thing is to pay attention to what's important and only you can know what that is -- even though other people can help you to explore it.

It's getting harder and harder to sit on the fence, but following other people -- no matter how good or holy they are -- just gets you into trouble.

As far what sounds to me like a some fear about demons coming -- think of this -- if you are straight with your soul and your relationship with God, whatever comes can only help you.  If what's coming is your current worst nightmare (I don't think it is) then, if you're straight with your soul, even that nightmare will just move you closer to your perfect relationship with the divine.  And if you're a little off your path, even demons can be part of what sends you to a true and deeper relationship with the "God of your understanding."

I don't know why but I think what's coming will be hell for some of us and heaven for others -- and that difference could be for two people standing side by side.

A (somewhat heretical) thought for your reflection:  Consider the consequences if God is COMPETENT.  WHAT IF all you have to do is relax and do what's yours to do . . . and WHAT IF God is prepared to sort everything out and make it as easy as possible for you?  Just don't listen too seriously to anyone or anything else.

Especially humans.

Especially me.

Oh, yeah . . . for no reason I can explain, I think the drama and change will NOT be political, will NOT be war (though that might be a side effect) and will NOT be demonic.  I think what's coming will astonish us all.  Maybe earth changes . . . that's my best match for what I sense . . . and yet I KNOW I'm wrong.

Aromatherapy, stones, and music are the most powerful help I have ever found -- but I seem to find and lose effective healers in all these areas.

I presume the Universe knows what it's doing.

One consistent source of really astonishing quality is the Young Living Essential Oils.  I have no patience for "multilevels" like this, (yes, I'm whining) but there are lots of people around who are distributors.  There's a book, NOT buy the Young Living people but associated with them that's the single best source on essentail oils I have ever seen.  It's on loan so I can't give you the name right now.

They have a little starter kit that's such a great tool, I can't even say enough good stuff about it.

Also, for whatever reason, the Young Living oils are so much more effective than anything else I've ever found that even though cash it tight and they are expensive, I use them.

Now, does anyone know of something like Young Living in terms of stone healing jewelry?

One way to look at it is that the linear material world is sort of a microcosm of what's Real.  Real encompasses the physical and metaphysical and probably stuff beyond that . . .whatever that means.

You would not be asking the question you are asking, HERE where so many answers are available UNLESS what you want was already within your reach.  That's just the way growing consciousness works.

1.)  Is there some common thread that joins metaphysical experiences together, such as increased chakra work, kindness, meditation, anything that a seemingly normal and non-stellar personality like myself can train with to experience these same things?

"Common thread" is a good term from what I have seen.  I would say that it's a weave of the right threads in balance -- and everybody's balance points are a little different.  Still, I would call the threads Openness, Order and Capacity.  They all need to be in some kind of balance with themselves and each other.

You're obviously Open or you wouldn't be asking this question.  You're balanced in your Openness, because you're "not sure."  That's a GOOD thing.  If you're too Open it's very easy to overrun you capacity and have what you get crash down into meaningless babble -- or fantasy.  GOOD WORK.

You're struggling with Order in your question.  Different Practicies and Teachings Order the indescribable richness offered by the etheric in a way that we can expand and grow to effectively meet what's offered to us and still cope with it.  Think about a handful of linear world things -- computer programming, music, dance -- even if they are available to you, without the skill set and some understanding of the existing systems, and some growth oriented practice, it's unlikely you will be effective in any of those.  The etheric is even more open to all of us -- and even more complex in what's offered.

Capacity.  We're all different.  Some musicians have "perfect pitch" but no sense of rhythem.  Some programmers are great at accounting but can't do graphics.  You could be the most talented dancer in the world, but if you have not developed your muscles, your dance practice will be limited.

"What you focus on deterimines what you miss." is just a part of the way human minds work.  Your self described "normal and non stellar personality"?  We are all star stuff and the Universe is out there waiting for us.

2.)  Or should I just chalk it up to DNA and being outta luck since my "Voice" left all those years back?

There's oceans of info in this little questions, isn't there??!??

DNA matters somewhat as it predisposes us to one set of talents over another.

"Otta luck" -- that kind of depends on what you count as a win or loss, doesn't it?

So your Voice left did it?  Sounds to me like you have an unfilled capacity.  If you know physics at all, you know that the Universe abhors a vacuume.   So, you either have something filling in the space of your lost Voice that your (normally) prejudiced human brain isn't tracking because it's outside your expectation OR you have a space held open in yourself for something more right, more perfect for your growth than that lost voice.  One irony few people grasp is that it's not the stuff we can do but our capacity for Spaciousness and the ability to wait for the best match that does the most for us in the etheric.

In case this sounds like I'm being coy, it's probably both.  Since you chose to put this question out on this forum, you probably have some sort of skill thats screaming to be used and developed.  AND you're doubtless hungry with some emptiness waiting to be filled.  Here's a tip -- figure out what your etheric consciousness is hungry FOR before you pull into the MacDonald's Drive Through of the etheric or load up on metaphysical Oreos, Potato Chips, and Macro-Microwave Popcorn.  Beware of transfats!!!!

3.)  Or perhaps, do all of these things have different causes?

Different causes, different effects, and multiple universes of the possible.  Your mind and your choices are your direction finders.

Good Journey,

Christina

Welcome to Metaphysics! / local psychics
October 03, 2004, 06:44:05
You can try just typing in "Psychic" on Google and some major town in your area.  Also, try asking whoever owns your local health food store.

I have had pretty good luck when I was looking for someone good in a distant location by using www.about.com
http://healing.about.com/od/findahealer/

Many many psychics tend to be a bit "spookable" and less than fully adept at material world stuff like advertising and websites, but theres a solid core of people who do manage that effectively -- sometimes by attracting people around them who handle it for them.  It's not unusual for those people to have a nice website you can look over to get an idea.  Often, for reasons I cannot fathom, these sorts of psychics often travel in their work so you might be able to see them at various places in the country or even in the world.  One local psychic I know well here (Kansas) has a solid client base she sees regularly in Ireland.  Go figure.

Here's an example of one woman who is pretty well known and respected, but not wildly expensive or impossible to get an appointment.  I've seen her myself. http://www.alima.ws/

Finally, there are a couple of publications that have been around for awhile, and sometimes they put out lists and reviews.  This won't help you because they're centered in the midwest, but check out what THE EDGE directories have.  Is this what you're looking for but in a "world wide" version?  http://www.edgenews.com/directory.html

Here's specifics on the heartland http://www.edgenews.com/directory/heal_kc.html

Or maybe YOU will do this?

Some of this is what you are born to.  By that I mean soul history, assignment, nature and nurture all rolled into one.  Different people have different skills, different callings, different shadow work to do.

Watching, I have seen that the farther you go on your path the more you have to deal with the same stuff -- whether you take the light or the dark path.

How many "light side" holy mystics are really in it because they're chasing some kind of desire for a lightside "win" -- to be admired and outrank the lesser masses?  Greed is just a part of all of us, and we have to deal with it.  Ditto on pretty much everything else.

The thing is, most Travelers will find it all more manageable if they stay in the light.  It seems like the lightside path arranges the lessons and the tests in the best order for most of us material beings.  The darkside path has the same lessons -- if you get far enough -- but the burden that is accrued along the path quickly becomes unmanageable for real progress.  I'm often reminded there of the way a particle accellerated toward the speed of light starts to gain mass.

I'm not sure of this, but it would appear from what I have seen that there are "born to" exceptions.  I think that the misuse of the right hand path creates a kind of pressure or void that demands a balance on the left side.  When that happens, sometimes a great soul is born into a set of parameters where their calling is to the left hand path.  Those few individuals, for whatever reason, seem to be able to get far enough on the path to ultimately confront the lessons not usually experienced on the left hand path.  I'm not talking about the mages who seem to take everything they are and push the left hand path deeper into the black.  I'm saying that there are some people who walk that path and find enlightenment.

When I run into one of those, I think "Better you than me, pal!"  and practice gratitude for the work they're doing.

What it's taught me is that I need to look carefully at my relationship with truth.  When I am attracted to the left hand path -- what's really going on?  Sometimes, it's been that I picked up a "rider" and wasn't aware.  Sometimes, it's that my ego is unwilling to visit the next evolution in the road and a little walk on the wild side seems like a diversion that might slow me up.  Most of the time, it's that a handful of incompatible and unattractive truths have piled up and rather than deal with them one at a time, the Other Way calls.

As for the things that go bump in the night, most of what people experience as demons aren't real demons at all, even though there are lots of things out there willing to pretend -- and really good at it!  I used to think it was just a semantics thing, since after all if you experience something as a demon and it's that destructive, what's the point of arguing?  After several years of unmasking "demons" and insisting there really were no such thing -- I ran into two.  I pray never again.  That wasn't fun.  The people who brought them to me acquired them messing around with dark side things pretending to be demons.  When the student is ready the teacher appears.

Welcome to News and Media! / Why blame WICCA?
September 02, 2004, 16:09:17
I do feel bad for those excellent people who practice wicca, but it's been my experience that exploring general metaphysics increases the potential for suicide, both active and passive.

Very often people seek out alternatives because the mainstream stuff is unworkable.

Then, when they get just a little peek of what's past the veil, they WANT IT . . . and don't stay with all this long enough to learn why they should even bother to stay here.

Meanwhile, frequently as they start on Path their mainstream life becomes even more unworkable -- but as still normal humans, they continue to apply old techniques, so it gets worse.

I feel badly for the pagans and wiccans who will get "blamed" for this, but also feel that it's part of the reason we owe each other on this journey all the compassion and warmth in the HERE AND NOW that we can possibly muster.  I personally have lost too many good people to just shrug my shoulders.

I have a couple of actual "pals" out there -- what I would call spirit guides -- who fit your description of the scary reptiles.

Yes, they are very scary . . . the funny thing is, when I worked my way through my own fear, they turned out to be really helpful.

There are three different entities I run into fairly regularly -- two are female and somehow attached to me -- one is male and told me long ago that he was only here to keep an eye on the primary female reptile attached to me because in their realm -- she's crazy.  Some sort of experience I had when I was young hooked me up to her.  They've been concerned, and then pleased, because she's a lot less crazy over here and that translates in to more sanity when she is back in their own realm.

He's rather chatty, mostly because he's pretty clear that he's bored.

The other female doesn't seem to be able to speak in a way I can hear her.  She's very consistent as a helper though.

I know about their aggression and over-sexualization, but my experience is that it's triggerd by something in our energy package that gives it invitation.  I have never had any trouble with either from this class of beings, although I have had lots of creepy problems with other types.

When I run into other psychics in the material world, I have a sense of whether or not they have one of these as a guide.  There must be some connection, because they will usually bring this up as one of the first things they talk about of their psychic experience.

The other odd thing, is that when the male reptile entity is around, people who are even marginally gifted or aware can pick him up -- and sometimes even talk with him.

I haven't read anything about this, so whatever I think I know is from my admittedly idiosycratic experience and feedback I have had from others.

My thought about "predators" such as this in the etheric is that if you choose to go camp in Yellowstone -- or somewhere really wild -- you'll have a chance of being eaten by bears.  Places like Yellowstone -- or the entry points of the etheric -- are in some ways MORE risky because a perhaps unhealthy pattern has been set by previous visitors.

Moral of the story:  When traveling astrally . . . Don't Feed the Bears!

Okay, this is second hand info, but it comes from a source I trust.

I have a client who's a talented healer with a powerful totem animal that's a tiger.  We do a fair amount of tiger work, but it was out of pattern with much of the tiger work I knew.

One day, just socializing at lunch I asked her about it and she said that she had a really strong past life memory about being a sacred tiger at the shrine of the monkey god -- that she ATE monkeys as part of her "duties" at the shrine and that as a consequence she had a really great connection with Hanuman, but that to work with the connection without getting into trouble, she had to be a tiger.

My brilliance is uneven, so I didn't even know who Hanuman was.  Monkeys SCARE me so I may have just avoided that knowledge.

Turns out, he's a divine trickster.  I don't have the strength of character to even look Hanuman up on the Internet.

And that's my little tidbit for what it's worth . . .

It used to be that if I was a practicing workaholic, guzzling coffee all day under florescent lights in a cinderblock office surrounded by engineers and computers that I could keep my etheric tendencies sufficiently repressed (read that: curled up in a fetal position hiding in some astral closet or something) that I could have what looked like a normal life.

They got loose one day and payback has just been a grump ever since.

Now the only thing that seems to attenuate the input at all is coffee.

Did you ever get your original question answered?

I've been told that I'm a crystal/crystal.  The healers and teachers who told me that explained that we are born with these indicators -- for those who can see -- and that one band indicates the work we came here to do and the other indicates who we came here to work with.

One of my teachers was violet/crystal (or crystal/violet -- I had a bad attitude at the time and didn't listen very well.  The only reason I learned anything is that my teachers were dilligent -- read relentless -- patient, and talented)  Apparently, violet meant he was here to teach and the crystal meant he was here to teach anybody.  Another was violet/green -- she was very clear that she was here to teach healing to healers.

According to the mythology, some people would have a crystal band in combination with a color so that they can bring healing to anyone or they can teach anyone.

I'm sorry but I don't actually know what the other colors mean -- I would guess order, protection, spiritual ministry, communication, emotion, sexuality and all that kinds of stuff.

Crystal crystals (if you are one) have an odd life because what they present is queued by the unmet patterns of those around them.  People with one crystal band would have a similar challenge, since their lives would forever be reorienting to the out of pattern needs of those in their specialty.

My experience is of the great generosity I have received from others who had one crystal band.  They inevitably step up and step out to get me things they didn't even know they had access to.  Then, at a time, they seem to inevitably go "flat line."  As it turns out, because crystal types can address unmet needs that have NEVER been met, and they have little or control and just react to the other person's pattern there comes a time when a level of addiction or dependency has set in.  A crystal person is tuned to be lifeful, not addictive, so the power just sort of "goes away" putting the recipient into cold turkey and forcing them to complete the lesson and internalize it.

This is a great gift even though it doesn't seem like it.  It means you can be available to people without the constant grandious checking on who outranks whom.  If you are a crystal -- whether single band or double crystal -- you will be working constantly in areas beyond your level of ability.  You can do that without fear by knowing that you will also STOP functioning when you are being too helpful.  Very freeing.

It also encourages us to develop boundary skills and a willinness to take responsibility and say "no" simply because it's no damned fun to have everything go flatline and find yourself non functional.

If you figure out how to live this with balance and grace, teach me.

what about the methods how to suck aout life.

from what are we protecting if u don't know what is happening, how is working...

first i wanna say that i'm not a vampire, and sucking other people is not just about "BAD", it's bad for you to, cause you're charging with others energy instead of charging with energy from "higher planes"

ok...sorry for my english...[:(]

i know some methods...

1) tested on a friend, who ticked me off one day, tooked me 1 or 2 minutes to gibe him a bad headache.

i imagined (with open eyes, stearing at him) his energetic field and riped it off, and sucked the bastard...not nice, i don't do this kind of stuff...it was like taking wis head (drawn in the energetic field)

2) the anchor method (from some people that know a lot about this things) you imagine a big anchor behind them, hanged in the 2nd chakra in the spin. a hole there and the energy that drowns from them. i didn't tried this but i think that works very good.

3) a direct link between solar plexus. i use this to give energy, works very good, and i think that works very good taking energy.

Daem0n spoked about "tentacles", if you could explain more about this, i have a picture about how, but just a picture.

there are lots of discutions about shields, from what i understand there are not quite good because stops the ESP development.

if anyone knows methods how to or against to please post

The best way I know to protect about psychic vampirism is to regard it as a call to growth and then to do what needs to be done to move my energy to another frequency that is "unpalatable"   I don't usually check back, but from what I have seen it would appear that the feedback loop on said vamp is a disincentive to further conscious vampirism.  The trouble is, when "vamped" I'm usually too tired and tapped out to be thinking higher thoughts.  It's one reason the old "God Bless XXXX" (or whatever your version may be) applied to enemies and antagonists is so effective.  Done right, it shifts YOUR energy.

Using this technique, I don't need to know anything about their methods.  All I need to have is enough self awareness to know that I'm being drained.

That's not as easy as it might seem.  Like most gifted people I was born with taps installed and having this go on seems "normal"  So I have to learn and grow all the time, just to break even.

And interesting (and frustrating) side effect was the discovery that there's a level of psychic vampirism that's built in to all groups.  I think the way it's SUPPOSED to work is that we all give off excess energy and we all have needs so it just goes out into this pool and the shared resources are part of what hold us together as a group.  Trouble is, one or the other of us has this conditoning that sorts us into the "giver" or "taker" group.  If you're a conditioned "giver" you put off more than you should and others get addicted.  If you're a "taker" you take more than you need and others get depleted and have to make it up somewhere.

Toss in emotions and normal human need and it all gets whackier and more interesting.

I have no answers about this, only questions.  I think there's a piece of this that's really healthy.  I just don't know where the balance might be.

I wake every morning and feel GREAT.  I go to work, take a walk in the foothills over my lunch hour.  But when I get home after 8 hours of work, I feel so incredibly drained and need to sleep.  I'm wondering if sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours is draining my energy.  It's not the people around me--my coworkers and my boss are wonderful people.  There's nothing stressful about my job and I like it very much.  The only thing I can think of is the long hours at the computer.

I'm also experimenting with dietary things that may be affecting my energy levels, but in the meantime I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with computers draining their energy, and what to do about it since I can't avoid the long exposure to the computer.

I just don't know what else could cause me to go from GREAT energy in the morning to a complete crash around 4:30pm.

Thanks,

kj

There's actually hard science for this stuff.  All kinds of wave patterns come off the computer that mess everyone up -- some of us just notice it more.

Some people surround themselves and their work area with hematite -- doesn't work for me.  Some people find that a small fountain or fish tank (like a beta tank) makes all the difference.  Steven Halpern has a cd that's designed to work with your chakras to help balance this.  That particular Halpern CD doesn't work for me but "Music for Lovers" or "Higher Ground" seems to ease off the computer effects.  Some people find that wearing jewelry -- you have to figure out the approprited chakra level for you and your environment -- helps.  Stones used include black tourmaline, lapis, malachite, red jaspar.  I have good luck with bloodstone.

There's also stuff you can do herbally, but that's REALLY tuned to the individual.

The other possibility (could be an AND instead of an OR) is that you tune into a group mind when you're on the computer composed of others who are also on computers.  If that's it, then some practice before and after can make a big difference.

One way to test the hard science electromagnetics is to see if it matters if you use a laptop instead of a full size crt.  If the laptop is no problem, then the computer emmanitions are affecting you and that can be helped.

Also, don't leave out the possibilty that it's something in your environment and not the computer per se.

Do you know any good astrologers?
It's just a weird weird time right now.  It seems to me that there are "things that bite" in the ether.  They're wearing me out and dragging me down -- but because of so many years on this road I know that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I come from different patterns and traditions than are covered in this forum, so take what I have to offer and leave the rest.  It sounds like you're in good company here for your journey.

I don't think you would have been drawn to push through the limits you experienced on your practice unless this was an appropriate initiation for you.

1. I know that there are normal age entries for initiations, but for good or ill many experience all sorts inititiation far ahead of their balanced readiness.  I have no idea if what you've picked up is a kundlini experience.  There are other energy forms that will step in and make themselves adaptable to whatever you're looking for.  I don't think it can possibly be "bad" for you given the parameters you put on your invitation.

2. Will it hurt you?  Probably.  It already has -- you described the pain of the experience and your fear reaction.  Neither of those are a bad thing -- both could be decribed as "resistance"

This would seem to be a test point -- you asked for help from your higher self and you got a response.  It might be most helpful to have faith that asking, you received what was appropriate.  If this is kundlini and you are younger than you "should" be, then you really need the deeper partnership with your higher self to manage the intricacies.  If it's NOT kundalini, then you need the partnership with your higher self to address what it is.  I don't feel that this is malevolent -- possibly the entity could be ignorant and a little selfish but not necessarily -- but if it's one bit less than a perfect match for you, then you need a deepened partnership with your higher self.

Either way, as long as you pass the "gut check" that's inevitiable at the beginning of any initiation, sounds like this will end with greater partnership with your higher self.  That's a GOOD THING and specifically what you requested.

3. if it IS dangourus too me and you feel i should avoid it how do i do it? even now as i sit and type this post i can feel it waiting for me to relax. i dont want to be assumed by you people that im foolish or something like that, maybe i am, but i never tried to induce such powerful sensations, they just came from somewhere else.

Messing around with this stuff is dangerous.  So is crossing the street, watching TV, eating at MacDonald's, and driving a car, and living on the planet . . .

I don't think you CAN avoid it altho it's possible to con yourself into thinking you have.

There's nothing wrong with being a fool.  "Beginner's mind" for buddhists or "The Fool" archetypes are the best jumping off spots for new experience.  Congratulations.

4. should i continue any energy work at all?
With awake and aware consciousness and an open mind.

Just my opinion, of course.

What a wonderful and practical exercise, Rastus.  Wish I had heard of it a decade ago.
