I will be making an order from amazon.com pretty soon here and was just wondering what is a good book that talks about qi and how to use it and that type of thing.

What exactly is enlightenment in regard to your spiritual growth? I can only assume it means things that happen are clearer to and you understand yourself a lot better, is this part of it? Also, do you reach enlightenment through meditation and that kind of thing? if not how is it achieved? Thanks much

I was just curious as to whether age matters in regard to energy. Will there be less blockages and less problems in general if your younger and more fit?

Are everyone elses soles like mine? When I do the sole work its like i'm being electricuted or something, my muscles in my legs start to spasm and all my leg is kinda shaking or vibrating. The energy never seems to stay in my sole but rushes up my legs right away and sometimes right into my stomach so much that I'll bend over from the energy rushing in, like a punch in the stomach....also when i'm doing on leg or sole it seems like the other one gets affected a little bit too, anybody have similar experiences?

I'm just starting this energy thing so I'm not really sure what I'm doing, and If i'm doing it right. First of all, when i'm doing the tactile imaging and the awareness stuff, does it matter if I picture what is happening to my body? I have a hard time not doing it, and I don't get huge sensations so i'm not sure if my imagination is prohibiting me or what? This leads me to my second question: whats with my toes!! i can't get any feeling out of them, I think yesterday i felt one of the secondary chakras in my big toe when i was doing the sole work, but besides that, I can never feel my other toes, especially individual toes. Doing the awarenss on each toe is too hard for me, unless its a spectacular sensation, I wouldn't be able to tell if its coming from the right toe. The only way i feel anything is if i do the brushing over all toes then I feel a mild sensation. Sorry about the long thread but I'd really appreciate some responses, i know theres a lot of knowledgable people here!

Hello, I wasn't sure if I should have posted this on the Energy forum or not, but I decided my my question is about meditation, just how chakras are involved in it, so I posted here. I am currently reading Astral Dynamics and am to the point where he is talking about stimulating the different chakras but I looked ahead to the part where it talks about trance and it says nothing about needing to stimulate chakras. I am just wondering why you would need to stimulate the different chakras when, correct me if I'm wrong, you don't need to in order to get into a trance. I am very eager to learn how to meditate and don't feel like reading about chakras when I could be practicing meditation, but I if need to learn about them, I will. Sorry about the long thread and I would appreciate any repsonse.

I don't want to sound redundant but I think it's really good that your doing this. Even if people may not beleive it, it's very thought provoking.

After reading the thread I've come up with a whole slew of questions, with a few of them being contradictions of information from here and ZetaTalk, which I would like the Zeta to clear up, if possible. Since the Zeta here claim to be the same ones as the Zeta being channeled at ZetaTalk, one would expect to see identical information...

I. "White Lie" vs. misinterpretation.

For those of you unfamiliar, the "white lie" was the March 2003 date given for the pole shift by the Zeta. This link provides justification for the "white lie". It basically says that the date was given to show everyone how the world governments would react if an actual date was given.

So, one minute the Zeta intentionally gave false information, and another minute it's the fault of the channeler.

I just had a comment on chill's post with Laura Knight channeling Cassiopaeans. It says in there that supposedly the "Zeta" at ZetaTalk are really just Nancy making a conglomeration of information and making up the rest.  How would you then explain the zeta channeling that is going on here? I have read a decent amount at ZetaTalk and I have read the entire Zeta channeling thread and most of the information is the same, although I have found a few contradictions.  

I'm not really on anyone's side here, so no one get hostile, I'm just looking at everything and trying to make sense of it all.

Like you said different religions have different ideas about this and since I am currently reading a book about Zen I will give you the Zen interpretation of enlightenment.

"It is kind of a mystery that for people who have no experience of enlightenment, enlightenment is something wonderful. But if they attain it, it is nothing. But yet it is not nothing...So, if you continue this practice [of zazen], more and more you will acquire something - nothing special, but nevertheless something. In my opinion it's a little counter-intuitive. The author also mentions that intellectually understanding his words are hard and experiencing them is the best or something along those lines. I'm kind of doubting this is what you want to attain, but it's another viewpoint.

Wouldn't it be easy enough to project to the akashic records and find the answers to all these philosophical questions? Personally I would rather not know the truth and keep on debating on a lot of these topics, but some people I see REALLY want to know the truth. Maybe that's the path they need to take.

I'm not sure if this is common but I experienced it too. Don't get too frustrated because, at least from my experience, it doesn't last forever. I seemed to have a sort of plateau in my development but I decided to be patient and wait it out. After a while I started developing again then I experienced new things which increased my attention. Maybe some more experienced people can give a little more input. Just hang in there for now.

If this planet can hardly be seen right now than how can it be coming soon? If this is the case then wouldn't it only be around a VERY short amount of time?

Well, I'm basicall wondering if this is characteristic of a ghost at all. I have asked a few of my friends, some of whom are extremely smart and they can't come up with anything. All the doors were locked, I was the only one home in my basement room (even more peculiar - that they would target my room then take nothing (which answers your question; nothing is missing)). I was probably inaccurate with my "ransacking" claim, because it looks more like my room is just kinda messy, like a few things got knocked over and a few things are moved, but its unusual for my room. The water spot is most controversial piece of evidence. There is almost no reason why someone who would break into my house and rough up my room, would leave a perfectly circular spot of colorless and odorless liquid on my floor. I would really appreciate some thoughts....Thanks

I just want to comment on the pyramids and other ancient marvels. When the library in Alexandria burned down weren't we supposedly set back technologically thousands of years? If this is the case then that could explain why they could make the things that boggle our minds today. If the technology setback is right, then that seems logical.

I personally can't help you out there but it might be better if you gave the topic at least one day for people to read and respond to.

So, is this going to happen or not? The topic seemed to kind of have ended without a decision being made.

I just have a quick point to argue: Christianity seems to like to use the idea of emptying our minds and bodys which will result in possession to persuade people to their side. What I don't understand about this is, where are all the possessed people? There are a fair number of people involved in this "satanic" practice, and possession is a rare thing, so wouldn't you see on the news occassionally reports about someone becoming possessed and doing thing that the church expects one that is possesed to do?

Despite the fact that there aren't a significant amount of people that project, I would imagine you one see on the news every once in a while or hear about possession through word of mouth, and this just isn't the case.

I am on the fence as well like Amber said. I have ideas for why reincarnation seems more plausible and the same for the Christian belief. In both belief systems there are repercussions for what is done in this life, whether there is another or not, and most people would probably want their next...experience as human on earth or a spirit in heaven or wherever, to be good. With this I don't think people (or at least I wouldn't, can't account for the rest of the population) would make bad decisions or do whatever just because they have another life ahead of them. This is basically what Nerezza was saying with the fact that Karma takes care of the bad decision making that people might do if they think they'll come back again

The idea that reincarnation doesn't make sense mathematically because there aren't enough people to come back and make the population the way it is today (since it's growing). Well, with the Christian belief, new spirits would come all the time (obviously) so why couldn't new spirits come with reincarnation? People need to end the reincarnation sometime so new spirits need to come into their place, so I would think that new spirits could just come into the world, somehow or for whatever reason, to make the population grow. Either way, new spirits are coming to the world.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with Mustardseed with the idea that maybe only kids come back. To me that doesn't make too much sense because for one, where would the limit be? what constitutes as a kid, or one who would come back? I would think that either everyone does (besides the one's who are finished) or nobody does.

Hopefully all this makes sense because I wrote it fast, I'm tired, and I was talking to my brother meanwhile. Keep the topic going guys, it's very interesting.

I have a couple questions that aren't exactly related to what's being talked about here but I figured some other people might be interested. My first question is, what can I do once I am able to see through my eyelids? and what state am in once this occurs? just a full trance or...? I'm trying to figure out where I'm at. My second question is, how do I get into a deeper trace? Beings I am not too advanced should I expect a deep trace to take a while to achieve? Actually I have another question, when there is a lot of energy running through my body my eyelids start to flutter and it really distracts me, how can I stop this and what does it mean? Thanks
