Here's a question I've not seen here yet..

So after we've finished our current earthly experience, have returned to f3/4...Do we still keep the ability to access our f2 area, or is it something that we only use for our f1 experiences?

If I were to ask myself the same question the obvious answer would be 'yes', since it's part of our continuum of consciousness, but I thought I'd ask as it seems an interesting question.

Hi RooJ,

Thanks :) Yeah, you're right I do seem to have a bit of a penchant for trains, but I don't know why? I go to work on a train, tho it doesn't look anything like the ones I've ridden on in my brief appearances in f2. They're more like the ones that VIA rail, or maybe SNCF use. I get all kinds of wacky images/ semi-arrivals, from materializing in a garden shed to standing ontop of some huge comms tower, a bit like the telecom tower in London. Maybe it's a part of my unique weirdness?  8) I'm still finding the visualizing where I want to arrive really hard, tho if I just stick to the noticing exercise I get the images/scenes relatively easy. I've not stopped trying to build one tho, it just seems at the moment that it just doesn't work for me :(
I must apologies to you all for my ramblings, I'm just trying really hard to find my feet in this, much bigger universe, is all.

Thanks again for your patience.

Cheers,

Steve

Frank, Chaps&Chapesses :D

Last night....

Went to bed a bit early, having been thinking about the whole situation and the rambling I'd made in my previous post, regarding falling asleep and WHY. Went through the run down as usual and was getting all these stupid images of big spiders trying to scare me. I kind of lost my temper with myself was saying to myself..."Oh very funny, I'm trying to learn this, you're throwing all this stupid stuff at me..So what are you going to do then, huh? Kill me?!" So I just picked one up and stuck it in my mouth..Ewww..Not very pleasant, but I think I got the point across and they all went away.
So got back to playing the drums, albeit a bit wobbly as usual, for some reason I got to thinking it was a bit lacking in character, so I started thinking about an old black Havana cat I used to be friends with, he appeared, was squeaking in that way Havana cats do.

Anyway I was doing all this, was only about 10-15 mins into my practice session was kinda rambling to myself(I seem to this alot) and all of a sudden my voice faded out and I found myself sitting on a train, was looking out the window, or rather I was looking 'at' the window in the carriage, could see all the reflections/refractions in the thick glass and the aluminum trimming around the window. I was there! At which point I started thinking to  myself.."Hey, hang on a minute!" and zzzzzzzzzzzp I was back in bed and the music was playing again. I suppose it lasted about 5-10 seconds, tried to get back to it but it seemed that was all I was going to get that evening.  Needless to say I started to jump round the room going "Yes! Yes! Yes!!" :D

Simply awesome!

Cheers

Hi Frank,

Thanks again for your reply :)

"Loads of times I?ve talked to people and they?ve just discounted something that?s really important."

#Lol, Yep I'm finding alot of snippets in the posts of yours and the other experienced phasers. Last week, again I was just having a bit of a play with the noticing exercise, found that at one point I had this silver/grey cloud descend from somewhere above me. Again I discounted it because it was not something I was actively looking for, only to find out in one of your posts that I wasn't very far off from whizzing off to the Fz..<sigh>

" You see, people who are genuine "mediums" have that point in their mind already. But us guys who were born not so lucky, have to go through all this rigmarole in order to develop it."

#It's interesting you say that as I remember reading somewhere that any significant skill that seems natural in a current 'incarnation'(If you want to call it that) has very probably been used in a former one, like playing the piano, or maybe sailing boats, etc, etc. So I begin to wonder if the difficulty of learning to phase/<insert-new-skill> is as a result of not having done this before?
<Edited as it just didn't read right>

Right then;

What I've been doing this w/e is listening to some music and picturing where I want to go in the 1/2 hour, or so before I try phasing properly and then will lie down and listen to a bi-neural type track on an mp3 player. I find that listening to this help in certain respects as it can be quite noisy during the w/e days, so cuts out all those disturbing noises.
So then I play a tympani type drum along to the beat, this I find is pretty engaging, start getting these images/moving scenes, tho not actually the scene I want to arrive in. ...Now I wanted to ask you about this "Stepping-into" the scene, as when I'm at this point when a scene presents itself, it feels like I'm either 'sliding' into it, or maybe 'merging-with' it?, rather than making an active stepping(without the body?), get a small sensation of lateral movement, or perhaps a sinking/woozy sensation you get when you're about to fall asleep or maybe lose consciousness.  Now what happens is my brain seems to balk at this as It's being told "Don't fall asleep!", so pulls me back from the sensation, so loses the picture/effect. So the next question is; Should I just let this sensation/effect go all the way?

Thanks again for you patience ;)

When I did a course, years ago my teacher said that she'd have a rose materialize from time to time. She said that was a gift from some friends of hers, although I can't prove this I knew her well enough to know she wasn't b/sing me ;)  Also when I used to live in digs I was sitting in the house alone, all the widows were shut(So no breeze) A wire coat hanger started swinging vigorously on a curtain pole, where it'd been left. It was like someone had given it a good tap to get it rocking. It wasn't me trying to do it, so I can only conclude someone was trying to get my attention :)

Ben,

Thanks for the clarification, there ;)  ...So much terminology I'm still trying to get to grips with...Ahh the joys of newbiedom :D

Frank,

Thanks ever so much for your typing there! It's really appreciated :) :)

I see now what I should be looking for, if I read your post correctly, the point to the rundown is in essence to find that point in your mind, where you can make the transition from?

I get alot of these flickers/moving scenes, just didn't understand what they were exactly, the fact that I'd discount them because they weren't the scene I'd constructed and was attempting to step into. I'll make a point of letting them run now, rather than getting cross with myself and dragging my awareness back to the rundown scene.

One happened the other night, again I'd all but stopped for the night and re-arranged myself to my normal sleeping position, was starting to drift off to sleep. For some reason I'd carried over the mental image with me as I'd found it interesting for some reason. I was beside a river/canal, found myself in conversation with some guy, by a lock. I wasn't "in" the scene, as such, kinda 1/2- 1/2, as things were moving around alot. But the thing that shocked me was I was talking to this guy about the lock and went to point some feature out and the usual mental/physical/f1 command to make my arm rise made my dream/f2 arm move instead. I found that rather funny :)

Thanks again, it's given me some encouragement, at least I know I'm not so far off-tack ;)

Cheers,

Steve

Frank, Guys & gals,

I must be doing something wrong here, as I've been practicing pretty much every day, for the last two weeks here and still not making the transition to f2. I'm sure it must be something fairly simple, but what that something is...I'm not sure :(
I've just begun switching the 'run-down' to the method that Sarah talked about on her thread as mine was just too complicated it seems, so I'll carry on with the trampoline for the time being.

So I do a few breathing exercises(calming), bounce around on the trampoline for about 1/2 an hour, whilst listening to some music as my mental rundown, which I find, even at my approaching middle age is alot of fun and chewing a stick of gum, for the flavour effect.

Now here is where I seem to run right into my mental brick-wall. Should I be continuing to visualize the bouncing(and all that), when I'm trying the phasing for real, or should I be doing the noticing exercise instead?

Last night I tried the continuing the bouncing, just to see if I could step into the scene I'd made, needless to say I didn't. I find the generating a scene in a relaxed, kinda day-dreaming way, quite easy...Tho concentrating on something I want to step into, getting the image to stay in my minds eye is really hard. It just keeps dissapearing, have to pause for a moment and re-visualize again, only to have the thing wander off again :(
I don't know if it's relevant or not but as I was about to give up for the evening I got a series of really strong images and moving scenes, was really impressed with them, as the were so vivid. One was of me inside a train carriage, looking out at some mountain range. I'm not sure what it was, either the beginnings of a lucid dream, or maybe a f2 experience?

Yours, thoroughly exhausted...

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Text reader...

Hi All :)

Some time ago I d/l'ed a useful little tool(free) for converting text files into .wav files, which you can load onto the likes of an mp3 player, etc. I found this really helpful as I don't get much time to sit down at the pc and read through some of the lengthy posts, here on this forum. So all I need to do now is to cut and paste the text from an interesting topic into the program and just convert/load it into the mp3 player. Again I find it really helpful as I can review topics/concepts I find hard to internalize. I suppose the only downside is that the voices are a bit mechanical sounding but once you get used to the way they talk it's still worth doing. ;)

Here's the link.

Anyway...I hope it might be some help :)

Hi Tony, :)

Thanks! :D Yep the Images are still pretty random at the moment, tho in last few days I've been noticing that the quality of the images is improving. When I began trying to induce a trance state last week the images were really quite insubstantial/ unfocused, tho at the w/e they were becoming really quite sharp :) The other thing I've found is that my normal dreams are becoming more lucid, becoming easier to recall when I wake up... But it's early days yet ;)

Hi Frank :)

One of the most eerie aspects of the Monroe focus 12 state is you can start to see all manner of random images that can be translated as being faces. Plus, all of us have many, many aspects of our-self located in Focus 2 of consciousness of my Phasing Model (that I loosely translate as a wider Monroe focus 12).

# To be honest Frank I don't know anything of the Monroe model at all  (other than what I've been reading on the forums here), So it's really a case of starting from afresh. When I did the training course all those years ago I was taught there were the 7 levels of 7, that was about it, so according what's been written here is it was just the old way of doing things. You mention the different aspects of yourself, I've noticed that alot of the faces that have appeared have been smiling in a knowing sort of way, it feels a bit like meeting up with old friends even tho you haven't consciously met them before.

Within Focus 2 of consciousness you can meet up with all manner of aspects of yourself, or what is quite common is you become different aspects of yourself. In other words, it is possible to view these aspects objectively or we can "step into" them and become them.

#Whoa! I can become another aspect of myself!?

Also, within Focus 2 of consciousness you are in the position of being able to objectively view the internals of your own mind. You can view any thought, belief, etc. In fact, anything you think about will become all around you. So religious types tend to view all manner of religious scenarios, people who believe in devils and demons will engage in whatever devils and demons do, etc.

# I can't say I've considered myself to be a religious person really, although I've spent alot of 'time'(relatively speaking) studying what the various religious texts have had to say about reality, the purpose of being here, etc. But after all this study I can only conclude that what they've achieved is subject to relative belief constructs of the 'time' that they were written. Having said that, there is alot to be said for the direction to which the writings are pointing to, tho the thing I've found so frustrating is having to wade through this almost endless waffle to get to ant sort of 'objective truth'  ;)

Focus 2 of consciousness is also the region of consciousness mystics call the Astral. So depending on your beliefs about that you can have all manner of astral projection experiences, experience all kinds of different "levels" and "planes" etc. Basically, whatever you believe in, that is what will come about. Simply because you are focused within the area of consciousness where your beliefs are held.

# One of the things I find so interesting/appealing about your 4 focus levels approach is it's relative simplicity, as opposed to the religious/mystical approach. I'm really looking forward to getting a copy of your book as I'm just sooo tired of having to wade through all the rhetorical detritus, can hopefully get a good clean swing at cracking this spiritual walnut. ;)
# On a practical level(If you can give me a little advice), I've gotten to the point (as I've mentioned), I'm getting the flashing imagery, and on occasion that buzzy/vibration through the body, that's as far as I seem to be able to go, not because I'm feeling fear or anything like that, it's more a case of not knowing of what to expect next, or what I should be doing now?( If anything?) It kinda feels I'm saying to myself..."Errr.. what next?"

Thanks! :)

Steve

Frank...To you mind if I PM you? I wanted to ask you something ;)

Cheers again

Hi all,

I began some phasing experiments last night, after getting my commentary under control, started to get some quite clear images coming through. Mostly they were people looking at me, kinda made me feel like a bug under the microscope. LoL. It felt a bit like I was being scrutinized in  way that you observe a bug that's hatching from a cocoon

Anyone else ever get this feeling ?

:D

Firstly,

A warm heartfelt hello to all of you. :)  Been quite a while since I traveled the psychic road, S'kinda tough to shake off all these stupid world beliefs I've been carrying around for the last ten years or so, hopefully with a bit of help from you guys it'll make the transition alot easier. Practice makes perfect, right?
I did a psychic development course years ago, trained (If you want to call it that) with a lovely lady, just south of London, here in the UK. It was alot of fun, am kicking myself alot these days for not really continuing with it all, tho as with these things you never really close the door to that stuff once its been opened.
The funny thing with me finding this place was I was having a conversation with some other guys about OOBs, said to myself that I was fed up with all of this mystical messing around (Have done alot of that in the last 6months)and wanted to cut straight to the heart of the matter, ended up (somehow) looking at the posts Frank had made about his phasing model. Wow!    I'd heard very similar things about the wider nature of reality from the lady I did my training with, tho I was given the 7 levels of 7 instruction at the time.
As for personal experience I guess most of what I've accomplished so far relates to F2 levels, on the odd occasion managed to get OOB. I also made a hemi-sync about 10-15 years ago, did quite a bit of experimenting with that too, weird sensation when you can feel your brain switch off! :D

The only other major experience I can think of at the moment was I remember waking up during a dream, found myself in a conversation with a being that was a flame shape, the colours were amazing! For some reason I felt a pressure on the top of my head, felt like that part of my consciousness was being put back to sleep. But the episode remains vivid to this day :)
Tried working with Franks Phasing model last w/e, after wrestling with that stupid running commentary that the F1 consciousness gives managed to get both the swirly star field effect and the swirly colours. They were these beautiful pastel golds and reds, mixed in with them were a kind of wave shapes you'd see from looking down on sea waves, were a sort of silver colour. I can only guess that somethings happening, tho not sure quite what yet. I'm trying very hard to maintain simple awareness, not letting the commentary loose, also during the working day as well. Still getting mixed result, but I guess it's still rather early yet, after 20 odd years of neglected practice! ;)

That's' pretty much all I can think of for the moment, so really look forward to getting some advice about how to progress. F4 just sounds awesome!

Take care all, thanks :)

Steve
