You don't need to pay for a natural ability ;)

I think you might be interested in EVP.

There's a good site concerning EVP techniques and some more examples. It is a controversial subject but you might enjoy it.

Might be third eye related. Depends on the 'throbbing' sensation.

Anytime we try to learn something from another individual it's growth at a 'snails pace'. The whole idea is to try and get the individual to self-reflect. Any words, no matter how enlightened, are limited to the meaning those words possess. It's the individual that takes them further - "The wise man learns more from the fool than the fool from the wise man."

I'm not saying there is NO place for wise sayings or that they are themselves entirely without meaning. Nor am I questioning their expansion capabilities or trying to define their purpose. What I'm saying is the timings often off. "The smallest journey starts with a single step" and I believe that often many are trying to teach from step 2 or higher.

I'm not proposing a theory that attempts to slow down the growing process of man, restricting people to certain boundaries. It is in fact the opposite. I'm talking about the ingition of the engine.

Hi! Let us know once you've had a look at some of the threads on the initial steps and anything needs to be clarified.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sounds like clairvoyance to me, simply because of the symbolic nature. In de je vu's, the scene remains the same.

You've got to love having an ability you haven't yet learn to control.

You'll notice on the beta diagram that the wave EEG is small waves all bunched together, it looks like static on a radio or seems very 'noisy'. Then on the other end of the scale the delta EEG shows large waves.  What happens in the brain when you are falling asleep is that neurons begin to fire in a synchronised fashion. During the 'awake' states your neurons do their own thing leaving a high frequency low amplitude EEG. During the sleeping states they fire in sync and superimpose on each other, giving you a low frequency, high amplitude EEG.

A study done on monks EEG's http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/14.02/dalai.html

Few abstracts of research papers done on the longitudinal effects of meditation www.mindmodulations.com/resources/Study-EEGandmeditation.pdf <--- Has anyone got any other sites on longitudinal studies in relation to EEG's and meditation?

In my opinion, more curiosity is raised about 2012 than any other 'end of the world' prophecy. The Mayans managed to calculate the day the planet would pass through the galactic plane without the use of a telescope. Terrence Mckenna's 'Timewave Zero' program was another eye opener for 2012. He managed to develop a mathematical representation of time.

I think the main problem anyone really encounters with 2012 is 'THE END OF THE WORLD!' It seems to dramatic. I'm more inclined to think that in some way our understanding of time will change at that point. Why other theories might be true, I don't think it's wise to preach the end of the world. It causes disorientation and chaos. 2012 is a time we want to approach with a little more understanding.

I've found with anything spiritual, the best way to get to someone is the way they will best understand. Not the way you think they should learn a spiritual truth or meditation techniques you think they should practice to obtain some inner revelation. I know there are a lot of enlightened people and for the most part, I understand and agree with what they say. However it's not the enlightened who need to understand what's being said. I am inclined to think that speaking like "You need to journey inward to realise who you are" etc is meaningless in some people's mind. The words only go to serve the speaker instead of who they are trying to teach! It's a really subtle form of arrogance.

Some people may approach 2012 and not believe it until it happens, in that case we can't force it upon them to believe. We shouldn't be doing that even if we had concrete proof, which we don't. We just have a more trusted prophecy. In which case spiritual lectures become a waste of time. No matter how 'enlightened' they are.

Point being, it takes someone of great spiritual accomplishment to be able speak from an enlightened perspective but even greater to realise that enlightenment is not a language everyone can speak. It is more appropriate to say something meaningful. Something that people can relate to and reflect themselves off. In that way we are brought together, rather than separated by our spiritual and intellectual differences. No one side is going this is THE WAY. We find a common ground. We are united. I feel that helps more heading toward 2012.

Telekinesis is coming up a lot recently. Do you have a good site on methods, it's purpose etc?

Psychic attacks will do just as much damage to you as your 'target', if not more. You won't find any help with intentions like that on these forums.

First three stages every beginner must do.

1. Believe.
-This means more than just being excited by the idea of leaving your body. Read a lot about what astral travel actually is.

2. Maintain a Trance State.
- Initially beginners are so impatient to jump straight into projection that they miss this as a very fundamental aspect of their 'training'. Learn to quiet your mind, slip into trance and MAINTAIN that state without trying to project. Maintaining this state teaches you the main principle of this stage - CONCENTRATION.

I think the first two stages are the most important because they lay the basics for projection and help enthuse the practitioner.

3. NEW, Exit techniques etc.
-This stage is where exiting the body begins. With really simply disconnecting being the main goal of this stage.

That should be enough to get you started. Take it one step at a time.

Good luck. :-)

Well said.

The present is the movement of the time, not the places within it. ;)

tksjm,

There are many theories on what will happen. The most certain thing in my mind is that something major WILL occur in 2012 resulting in some kind of conscious shift. I'm satisfied with that. Theories are merely entertainment.

You're really not understanding the concept of 'present' or 'now'. It TRANSCENDS time, so it is not subject to the same laws or logic as before and after. There is no beginning or end. This is why you cannot quantify the present into a second because that establishes a start and finish.

That's the general idea that is agreed upon when discussing 'the present'. I still don't understand your logic for proposing that it does not exist. Your theory to me is subject to befores and afters so is therefore not in relation to the present at all.

tksjm, Yes it could be a form of manipulation of magnetism. A test to do could be hooking up a volt meter to either side of a wire and then moving it telekinetically. If the volt meter detects a current, magnetism could be suspected. If not, then we are looking at gravity. Which is also a logical option, we're not entirely sure of how gravity works. Perhaps a manipulation of the forces of gravity between yourself and the object.

Another test with magnetism could be using magnetised metal shavings and picking up a wire from within them telekinetically. If no metal shavings are lifted and the wire is singled out, then it's probably a matter of gravity. We still won't know how the gravitational forces of the object are effected and the subsequent effects on surrounding items perhpas pulled into orbit? You'd need a weight free environment.

Eternal is synonymous with 'timeless'. So they can't be established. Unless you have a different definition of eternity?

There is no amount of times the number 1 can be divided to reach zero. It can't be done. Sorry I'm not really understanding the point in that?

Reminds me of a quote Stookie "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

I agree with Old Dood. Religions are man's interpretation of how we should iteract with God. I think some people may use them as a path to God. I don't agree at all with anyone telling another how we should relate to God. What about me? What about my 'free will'? Most of all religions are confined to dogma that doesn't change the way something with spirit does.

This is something I have posted a while back. Bruce Lee wrote it on martial arts but I see the same principle in different religions.

" Just what is a classical style of martial art? First and foremost, we must realize the fact that man created styles. Disregard the many fancy historical origins of their founders---- by a wise ancient monk, by special messenger in dream, in a holy revelation, etc.---- a style should never be the gospel truth, the laws and principles of which can never be violated. Man, the human being is always more important than any style.

The founder of a style might be exposed to some partial truth, but as time passed by, especially after the passing away of its founder, this partial truth became a law, or worse still, a prejudiced faith against the "different" sects. In order to pass along this knowledge from generation to generation, the various responses had to be organised and classified, and presented in logical orders. So what might have started off as some personal fluidity of its founder is now solidified knowledge, a preserved cure of all for mass conditioning. In doing so, the followers have made this knowledge not only a holy shrine, but a tomb in which the founder's wisdom is buried. Because of the organization and preservation, the means would become so elaborated that tremendous attention must be given to them, and gradually the end is forgotten. The followers will then accept this "organised something" and the total reality of combat. Of course, many more "different" approached would spring up, probably as a direct reaction to "the other's truth". Pretty soon these approaches too would become large organisations with each claiming to possess "truth" to the exclusion of all other styles. More and more the style becomes more important that its practioner."

Use the word 'religion' as a substitue for the word 'style' and you have what I believe religions to be.

Well if it's so fast it is faster than the speed of light, then we are talking about eternity. A place where no before and after can be established.

Might have to have a look into that book Rob, seems like something I may be interested in.

In terms of getting older and percieving time quickening fitting in somewhere, it is definately something you here a lot from older people and a phenomenon that is need of some explanation. One perhaps being that change is speeding up, not only in the external world but within the individual. Again producing a new perception of time. Things can be busy internally as well! Older people do become wiser and probably closer to an eternal mind than an adolescent.

Since time and space are linked together, if time were quickening, it would be rational to expect people saying "Wow! Have you noticed how small everything is becoming?" (As space compresses, time accelerates.)

Perhaps time is speeding up, and space is shrinking and we simply cannot percieve it because everything we use as a reference is under being effected also. I simply do not percieve it to be that way. I can't see it.

It's hard to tresspass into the domain of the unconscious when the very term comes with the subtext that we are unaware of it's dynamics.

If you are seeing the event PRIOR to it happening then it's a matter of clairvoyance. If you are literally seeing her doing these things AS she is doing them then it may be a kind of spontaneous conscious split allowing you to remote view outside your house. The sight then may your own mental construction of a feeling you are having. If you are only FEELING things happening I'd echo somewhat along the lines of what Mez is saying of being 'in tune'.

My theory is when two people spend enough time together the become accustomed to a common/agreed wavelength. This is really branching into idea's of telepathy.
