I've been watching the thread with a watchful eye as usual, and all I can find are contradictions and hypocrasies.  No need to list them, go ahead and find them all for yourself.

But what I will say is that this heated battle/debate/discussion we've got going on here isn't about your belief system of the future, it's entirely about how you go about it!  As Kakkarot pointed out, there are multitudes of topics that have been abandonded, simply to have another new one placed on top of it.  Once either side sees it they either say their good comments about it or their bad comments about it.  And trust me, that's the only thing that happens.  It's always a debate.

Here's what I'm thinking we could do to resolve this.  Either there is a "truce" of sorts where a singular topic is kept open concerning this and never any more, a chat room is made available for you, or you go to another forum.

And I apologize for any spelling / grammar comments I may have made.  I just wish my debate would be heard by more people and they would start to realize just how annoying it is to me to see English demeaned like that.

~Squeek

PS - Don't reply with one liners, anybody.  PLEASE.

Look, here's the breakdown of this.  So much calamity over an event that has relatively no chance of taking place 8 years and 11 months in the future is your major argument.  Ours is simply to THINK for a second as to the insanity of what you are suggesting.  Sure, you could be predicting the future, but you predict it in such a way as to basically imitate Inuyasha 100%.  Don't deny that you watch it either,  your avatar is of the Hanyou Inuyasha, Clow.

Our viewpoint on this is that it seems once an anime becomes popular, suddenly all the "kids" here have a theory related to it.  We figured this out already with Dragonball Z and Yu Yu Hakusho and the energy forum closure.

Well in 9th grade students generally take World History and eventually learn about the Mayan Calendar, and how it ends in 2012.  Since you've said you are already old enough to be in or have finished 9th grade, I would assume you know this.  Assuming you do, it would be relatively easy to use that to correlate with an anime you just love.  That's my theory anyway.

I ask that you calm down until a decision has been made by the collective "vote" of the moderators.  Stop making more and more topics explaining your same rant again and again, please.

Hi, welcome to the site [:)]

I'm your (a) friendly neighborhood moderator!  I moved this topic into Astral Chat just like Risu said.  If you want to see information about where to post what, go to this link http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/default.asp

Again, welcome!

~Squeek

Ps - You posted another right as I moved this [:P].  We'll just use this one, as posts are already in it.  I'll delete the other. Sorry 'bout that.

I think the same way you do on this.  I figured out the best way to say it a little while ago, and it's this.  "What do you use your body for?"  Which basically means... why would you allow yourself to be sick in the first place?

I haven't ever been sick and in no way do I know any reiki.  So I haven't taken any medicine for anything my entire life.  Personally I think sickness is all a mind game.  If you allow sickness to come, you're gonna be sick.  Deny it and be healthy [:)]

If anybody understood the gibberish I've displayed... awesome.  It's 1:00 am here.

I just tested it out and I do not think it is possible.  After an image is place in it will insert a break line.  I just tested it out and I got this.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / War Info and suggestions
January 02, 2004, 23:01:32
Well I tried being as friendly as I could and you ignored my simple questions.  And then you yelled at somebody for making a joke.  I restrained myself from getting extremely angry at your lack of English skills.  But that's besides the point.

The reason I even asked those questions is because I want to find out the source of all this "demon war 2012" business.  A while back we had a user here say he had a dream about a demon war and he ended up killing alot of them and whatnot, and he started proclaiming this thing.  I hope that isn't the source, because if it is, you're basing a load of your time in life "training" for something you don't even know exists.

I would like to add the sentiments of almost every user here concerning your posts.  It's not enough that rarely anybody believes in this "imaginary war" but to proclaim you know this imaginary war is over and that another has been called makes you look like the biggest idiot on the site.  Now if you've even read this far you're probably really upset with me.  Fine.  All I asked for was 3 simple answers to 3 simple questions.

1. Who gave you this idea in the first place?
2. Why did you believe it?
3. Why do you think everybody here thinks like you do about this / Why do we care?

Answer these, maybe the people here will go easy on you.

Without provoking a massive outburst from you I have to ask the following questions about your "war".

First - Who gave you this outlandish idea in the first place?
Second - Why did you believe it?
Third - Why do you think everybody here thinks like you do about this / Why do we care?

Just take your time and answer these.  Don't yell them back with profanities every 3 words...  And try to use some form of English, if at all possible.

As old as this topic is, it's active now, and it has been moved to its proper location.  However I highly doubt many of the original posters are still here [:)]

Also, try not to post twice in succession.

Hi,

I moved this topic to General Metaphysics for now, as it had nothing to do with OBE discussions.  PM me if you feel this was wrong.

Bluntly put, no.

All you can do is the same thing you can do with regular posts. Color, size, font, bold, etc.

It took me long enough just to figure out those [:)]

Whoo... been a while.

I have cable now, and so I've been on a MASSIVE downloading spree.  It's so much fun.

Unfortunately... I don't know if Rage Against the Machine is "apropos" for this forum [:P] so I'll go ahead with this new awesome song I found.

Nickelback - Someday

How the hell'd we wind up like this?
Why weren't we able to see the signs that we missed,
And try to turn the tables?

I wish you'd unclench your fists and unpack your suitcase.
Lately there's been too much of this,
But don't think it's too late

Nothin's wrong,
Just as long as you know that someday I will.

Someday, somehow,
I'm gonna make it all right, but not right now
I know you're wondering when.
(You're the only one who knows that)
Someday, somehow,
I'm gonna make it all right, but not right now
I know you're wondering when...

Well I'd hoped that since we're here anyway,
We could end up saying things we've always needed to say,
So we could end up stringing.

Now the story's played out like this just like a paperback novel
Let's rewrite an ending that fits,
Instead of a Hollywood horror.

Nothin's wrong,
Just as long as you know that someday I will.

Someday, somehow,
Gonna make it all right, but not right now
I know you're wondering when.
(You're the only one who knows that)
Someday, somehow,
I'm gonna make it all right, but not right now
I know you're wondering when.
(You're the only one who knows that!)

Awesome song.  Good luck finding it online by the way.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / telekinesis
December 01, 2003, 17:49:30
I moved the topic into General Metaphysics where it belongs.

Just so you know, the search function on this site is the best resource for locating any and all information previously spoken about on this site.  The subject of telekinesis has been talked about in abundance, and so the information about it is plentiful.

Speaking of books that relate to such a topic, I'd recommend Fahrenheit 451.  This book has such a tie in to exactly what you are discussing.  But anyway...

I would agree with you that it seems that when something happens that everybody will appear to jump on the bandwagon.  Sometimes it has a valid background, like when a new brand of something awesome comes out or something...  But your examples are different.  I totally agree here.

I will add that I am not a bandwagon type of person... all around me in school I always see the same thing amongst the same people... the clubbers, the druggies, etc.  I am that person in your example Arc.  I am always the one who is tormented for no apparent reason.  Any reason you could possibly think of and more, I hear it.  Sometimes even as stupid as the type of milk I drink [xx(]

I hate to say it, but you'll never change most of them, you'll never be able to explain the pattern they are stuck in to them.  Most people don't want change.  I changed when I realized the pattern I was stuck in for 17 years of my life.

Just knowing that you're better off not stuck in their patterns is all you need to remember when you see it.

I moved it for you to the Questions topic.

Also, I think that some of those names degrade from the meaning of the "rank".  The stars or post count don't really matter in the first place, but it's in consideration.

And since I am totally done with this nonsuch I have laughed hysterically at this site.

This will automatically translate proper english into nonsensical crap. It's perfect for when we need to learn how things translate into this new, lesser form of English. Enjoy [:)]

I thought this whole thing was over... ugh.

Look neo, I really don't care how you write, because I don't even listen to anything you say.  It's the case with anybody who writes like you.  I see two words like that and move on, because I know it's just a waste of my time.

Lest you forget, I myself am a teenager, and I forbid myself to do any of such neanderthalic actions while I type.  I want people to be able to read my remarks and attack my views on it, not my spelling.

I don't like to call it flaming Yerzak, I like to call it enlightening [:)]

The problem with it is that nobody cares about it.  I care.  You should make it a goal to talk properly around me [;)]

I used to be like that... when I was first starting out on AIM.  That was about 4 years ago.  I haven't done so since.  Then, when acronyms came out, I started to do those.  Now I'm getting rid of all of those as well, because saying "lol" in the middle of a sentence doesn't make any sense.  "I am so cool laughing out loud."

Meh.  I'm done with this issue, it's upon yourselves whether you care about being heard or not.

PS- keeping with the topic, Microsoft Word has the best spell checker of all time.  Use it.  If you don't have word, I suggest http://www.m-w.com or http://www.dictionary.com

The Astral Pulse is not the only place for these conversations you know...

A Google search yielded multitudes of separate forums concerning that with which the "kids" here enjoy to converse about.  Feel free to chat about it there.

The problem with that section was the posts were becoming nonsensical gibberish.  One-liners simply saying yes or no, or I agree and the like.  Topics would reach 4 pages in a single day simply due to the volume of these off-topic general conversations happening within the topic itself.

And of course, these posts were spreading outside of the energy forum itself.  This bothered the lot here that did not want to see this happen.

quote:
Also, there should be an "Off-Topic" forum for things that don't fit into any of the forums. - Crystalinity

And of course, just so you know, by simply visiting the main forums page there is a line underneath the forum section stating what should be talked about within that section.  Looking closely reveals

"Astral Chat is for members to chat about things generally, and to get to know each other. Almost any subject is permissible, provided always that usual forum and Internet protocols, ethics and netiquette are strictly observed. enjoy!"

Sometimes looking is the easiest way to find things... [|)]

I heard about McJob going into the dictionary, and that was the funniest thing I've heard since "phat" and "yadda yadda yadda" were added.

I want to attend one of these meetings where they vote on new words to be added...  That would be so cool.

Anyway, sorry I left out a few other contractions and other commonly confused words; the ones I listed were just the ones I've seen more of in recent days.  Of course those are valid as well.

I apologize to Canadians. [|)]

I like how simple it is to take a global issue such as this and centralize it down to just one country.  There are the three major English speaking only (or so... whatever) countries here: The UK, The US, and Australia.  These are my primary targets, not just America.  I agree that we have a lot of stupid people here that could care less for the English language as it is, but then there are the radical teenagers such as myself who really do care for the words I proclaim across an entire planet.

Speaking of which, the problem did not originate in the United States, the problem originated in the Internet.  How could "simplified and faster" text have come about if there were no reason to type "faster"?

And just for kicks... I don't have a gun in this household, I don't care for any religion, and I do not mercilessly butcher the English language.  I don't like to be associated with those who do, so thanks for the "most" in your sentence.

I have taken a quick look around for the newest set of errors and have located this error.  It takes place in the transition of contractions to text.  While it is easy to say "Would've", you really pronounce that broken word as another real English word.  This is the root of the problem in this situation, where the partial " 've " has become "of".  Would of, could of, and should of are all wrong...  It's just the way it goes.  Would have, could have, and should have.

One more thing, Even though you pronounce "Used to" without the double d sound, you don't spell it that way.  Throw that D back where it belongs in the word "used", and don't leave it as "Use to".

Let's keep it going! [|)]

Welcome to Astral Chat! / What is the Astral Pulse
November 14, 2003, 13:04:46
You can divide the forums up like so... (My opinions)

75% is for the sharing of information across a wide network of users all across the world.

10% is for useless debates.

10% is for useless nothingness.

5% is for flooders.

It started out at 100% sharing of information, but certain factors led to that decrease.  Let's see if we can get it to go back up [:)]
