Congratulations on deliberately inducing a full OBE (well, 2 actually  ). The next time that you get "out" I suggest that you try to get outside and levitate off the ground and then fly around your neighborhood. You will find that flying is even more enjoyable than floating.

"Dragon Master"
Sunday, August 10, 1997 (OBE # 23)

   I became conscious when in deep sleep. Somehow realizing that projection was possible I made an effort to go out of body. This was much easier than expected, I simply floated out.
   Almost immediately I went through a wall of my apartment into what must be the adjacent apartment. Now disoriented, thinking that I was in another building, I went through another wall and was briefly outside. A few seconds later I go into and through a wall into the next building. Motion is relentless. I can't seem to control my direction. I feel impelled by some unknown force to continue on this way. While going through (a hall?) in this unfamiliar building the main thought is to try to get out.. Another wall appeared. I went into it and through it.
   Finally outside, I was flying 30 feet over a low hill. It was still night. My sight was not all that good and I thought that this was an area somewhere in Pittsburgh. While cruising above the hill vision improved. Details could be seen on the ground below. First, a house looked fairly normal. Something else seemed out of place. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground!
   Continuing on I went over large mansions or estates. Then a small castle, complete with tower and moat, could be seen! During the next few miles there were too many castles and I no longer believed that this could be anywhere on Earth.
   A tremendous tree appeared atop a low hill. It stretched upwards over 100 feet. Heavy branches extended outwards and gave it the appearence of power.
   The dragon waited, hidden in the tree. The creature nearly surprised me as I glided past. Some sixth sense or ESP ability warned me - that and a large wooden staff that I now held.
   I challenged the dragon in a method of speech not used on Earth.
   The dragon appeared. It was dark green or black. Though the dragon was relatively young it was 12 to 15 feet in length and had a full wingspan of 15 feet or more.
   A battle began immediately. It flew straight at me so I had to avoid it. I soared up and away to try magick against it. The dragon followed and attacked again.
   The beast would not let me get away. It kept close never allowing me to recite a spell. I was forced to draw a dagger or shortsword to engage in melee. The dragon had the advantage. It was bigger and faster in flight. Though I was quicker I only managed 1 or 2 effective hits.
   My big advantage was the ability to hover in flight. The dragon could stop briefly but I countered by rising vertically. This it could not do. Ten minutes of melee went by before an opportunity arose to vocalize a spell.
   This was the turning point! This young dragon seemed sensitive to magick. It soon became confused and then became cautious.
   The fight climaxed on a stone ledge near some houses in a small town. Amoung the spectators were two children, both boys about 7 or 8 years of age. The dragon broke off the fight to go for them. I got in front of the dragon and hit it a solid blow with my staff. This somehow completed my victory.
   The dragon pulled back to assess its situation. Realizing that it could not use townspeople as a ploy and that it had lost the fight the dragon turned about and set off into the night.
   I raised the staff up high proclaiming victory. With a surge of power I realize that I am a Dragonmaster !
   There were other dragons to be found in this land so I took flight again. This adventure was quickly coming to an end, however. My physical body was pulling me back. It was a Very strong pull so I was next back in bed. I mentally recounted the experience then drifted off to sleep. After a dream (about a dragon !) I awoke to write it all down.
   Notes. Time was between 3 to 4:30 AM. Unsure of which side (left or right) I lay on.
Locale was either a BST or I* (alternate/parallel universe). Separation was deliberate. Also Flight, Floating, a Fight, Magick and Travel-teleportation.

Finding an effective method of getting out of body is a Huge step forward. It's all about finding a way that works on a (semi) regular basis and staying with it. A workable technique combined with deliberate intent and effort Should result in OBEs every few days (or at least one every 2 weeks or so).

Magick is a fascinating activity. It can evoke the artist and poet in many people. Of course there is more to it than just being creative. In its own way magick is just as mysterious as the out of body experience, maybe even more so.

The difference between OBEs and lucid dreams in subtle. There is a difference but often times it can be hard to perceive. Many times it simply comes down to being focused and deciding which state you Want to be in, either out of body or in a lucid dream.

I think that reasoning is sound.
Some physicists believe that HUP can be solved observing an 'event' (in this case the ' event' is the state of a subatomic particles) at a higher dimension. The theory is that at a higher dimension a simultaneous measurement Can be made of an electron's physical mass/location AND it's wave length (which is currently is impossible in 3 dimensional space-time).
The basis for such beliefs came from Hugh Everett's Many World Interpretation of quantum physics. This has "spawned" many other theories including the "Many Mind theory" and parallel/alternate universes. All are only theories of course yet some Are both mathematically and logically sound.

Personally I find you a very interesting person. Your posts are usually well thought out and competently written. I find many of your ideas creative and even unique and when discussing magick those are both positive aspects. So you obviously have some knowledge of practical magick and dreams.  One drawback is that some of your posts are long and sometimes tend to ramble. That can make your ideas hard to follow or understand. That, however, is a minor drawback as nobody can discuss complex ideas (especially about magick) in only a few sentences or a couple paragraphs.
So obviously I would greatly prefer to see you stay.
One of my 'projects' for 2013 is a renewed interest (and hopefully participation) in magick. So hopefully I will be responding to more of your posts, especially in the Magick forum here. And I have been reading (at least perusing) most of your recent posts but have just not responded to many.

However, some OBEs are more special than others. I'm sure you have had a few OBEs that stand out from all the others. And this was one such OBE for me. Maybe not top 5 all time but top 10 and the best of the year.

Thanx for the reply. There Is mystery and intrigue when visiting an unfamiliar nonphysical realm for the first time. Yet sometimes astral travellers do not fit in or do not feel comfortable in a particular NPR. This primary principle idea might explain why some astral locales appear hostile, unfriendly or just plain weird to first time visitors.

Another older OBE that should have been posted long ago. This one was my personal best for 2012.

"Teleporting Out Of Danger"
Thursday June 14, 2012 (OBE # 118)
   This was one of those special events I am fortunate to experience once in a while. The OBE made perfect sense while it was happening but may now be hard to understand because nonphysical events sometimes do not translate into written words very well.
   There were three separate stages to this experience. The first stage took place sometime in the past (a historical BST) yet I am unsure when this time was. The best guess is the early 1900s or thereabouts. I was helping an attractive young woman escape danger as people were looking for here. Who these people were and why they were looking for her is unclear. Anyways we managed to teleport into the future to modern day France.
   In the second stage we were in a large abandoned building, probably a school. Dozens of police (gendarmerie) converged on this building. So we barricaded the front door and ran up to the second floor.  As police entered the building below we were joined by a male colleage. Feeling trapped, about to be caught and unable to find an escape we teleported to a top floor room. This gave us some more time.
   As the police closed in we were joined by another male friend. After collecting as much gear as possible all four of us teleported out of that area. We did arrive someplace though I do not know where it was, maybe a modern day location or a BST of the near future (??)
   This is only a bare bones outline and omits a lot of details. This experience was actually very hard to describe and was much better than it might appear to the reader.
   Notes Used the WBTB method so the time was 7:30 - 9:00 AM. Duration was at least 30 minutes and probably longer. I lay on my right side. OBE # 118 took place in what are pr0obably BSTs although the past may have been an alternate timeline. Modern day France may have been an actual physical location. I did meet 2 or 3 (nonphysical) familiar people although I have no idea who they are in "real life". Deliberate (passive), Emotional, Teleport, Pranayama (before), Affirmations (before), Rope cargo net (before), Hemisync CD (before).

Again this experience was actually much better than it appears here. Some OBEs just cannot be done justice by words.

"Primary Motivating Principle"

   This occurred in 2 different nonphysical locations. Both were American cities and of those cities, Pittsburgh, was familiar. It started in the other unfamiliar city. I was in a business where a women wanted to talk to me. And then she disappeared and was nowhere to be found. There was a lot more to this situation, some of it has been forgotten and all of it was chaotic and confusing. Nothing made any sense so I was confused and upset.
   Eventually I realized that none of this was really important. Though the woman did eventually return she did not want to see me. So with no real reason to be there I decided to leave.
   Immediately I returned to the familiar Pittsburgh location (BST). Here I had to explain to a group of familiar discarnate men what was currently happening. These men were rough and tumble types so it took a concerted effort to make clear what was going on. And what had happened was this - apparently I was involved in some activity with these men (I don't remember what it was because it was very vague and dreamlike). Then I suddenly disappered and they became upset thinking that I had deliberately left. Actually I had travelled to that other unfamiliar city. This was not deliberate as it just spontaneously happened!! (That random travel, teleporting and popping up into unfamiliar nonphysical areas happens quite a lot in my OBEs.)
   Anyways it took some effort to explain all of this to their satisfaction. The rest of the OBE was uneventful and lasted for at least another 15 ot 20 minutes. The men soon left and I went into a nearby building where I talked to another man, heard an Iron Maiden song (astral not RL song) and eventually figured out a big secret of the inner workings in nonphysical locations.   
   Each nonphysical location has a main driving principle. To fit in and exist comfortably in a nonphysical location a person needs to know what the particular main driving principle is. As an example on material earth - In the western world the main driving principle is business and economics. The good aspects are material advances that lead to improvements in the quality of life. Negative aspects are greed leading to corruption and crime.
   So the primary driving principle in the unfamilar nonphysical location is unknown to me. Frankly I did not care to know what is was and so left that place. In the Pittsburgh BST the driving principle is 'amassing things'. Those 'things' are not necessarily money and wealth.. The 'things' could be almost anything, usually items of value but possibly objects / energy of a recreational or leisurely nature. Now I don't understand why this is important, it apparently just IS. In any event understanding this principle is an important intellectual breakthrough.
   Notes The time of this OBE was between 8:30 and 10:00 AM. It lasted at least half an hour and maybe as long as 75 minutes. I lay on my right side. OBE #116 was in both a familar and unfamiliar nonphysical location. There were both familiar and unfamiliar discarnate people there. Deliberate (passive), Emotional, Confusion, Flight, Teleport, Affirmations (before), Pranayama (before), and Rope Cargo net (before).

Most people experience peaks and valleys with OBEs. Meaning that they can enjoy many OBE at regular intervals during peak periods and then go weeks or months without an OBE during valley 'dry spells'. My advice is to read some of the threads in the "Welcome to the Astral FAQ forum" looking for various induction techniques or methods. If you choose on (ore more) method(s) and experiment with it then hopefully you will soon be experiencing OBEs again very soon.

Actually I am in agreement with the majority here in that I find the end of the Mayan calendar much less interesting than the interpretation of that event by some people to be the end of the world/catastrophy etc.
There is no known historical or archeological reason for such an interpretation and we can then, hopefully, move on to more important events.
