Could you explain why this technique shouldnt be used more then once in a week
(besides the fact that staying up for 24h isnt too healthy)?

Gonna try it out when i got the time.

Thanks

Fourthdimension: I think i have the biggest collection of binaural beats
on this planet lol. I tried them all, though they didnt helped a bit so far :-/
Maybe the problem is also that i need to think too much while listening, because
english is not my native language.

EscapeVelocity: Thanks a lot, that makes sense to me! The more i read it, the more i believe it lol.
I cant give up totaly anyway. I "need" to find out whats behind the scenes, its like my life is planned to
do that. Its just the frustration...but of course also the frustration makes sense and maybe gives me
a little break (im doint the things i do sometimes a bit too "dedicated").

Didnt expected you guys to be so positive here, i like that :)

Thanks for that tip, ill try it right away! :)

I have nearly the same problem. Getting into hypnagogic state, getting aware of that fact and
waking up completly...this game repeats itself until i just give up and fall asleep.

Hey there Panth, good topic it covers what ALOT of people feel and go through. It is hard, I've been trying for roughly a year and a half and I KNOW it can p!ss you off when you dedicate yourself for so long and get nothing in return.

I believe it's a learning process and some learn quicker than others, its taking me forever it seems and I try every night! Sometimes I feel the same as you, just get tired of it but when I hear or read about other people's experiences it makes me think of how amazing it'll be when I can do it.

As for the dream I'd say it's a clear indication that you're almost ready. I had my first flying dream a couple months ago and it was great, to me that felt linked to my AP practice and gave me the determination to keep at it and since then I, personally think I've been getting closer every night and it made me realise there is no rush, we're ready when we're ready. Just let it happen.

Good luck to ya anyway and keep us posted.

That sounds promising! Hope you´re successful in the end :)
Yes, patients is the big word for most of us i think...

Hi y'all and hi pan
first of all am new to this forum.
pan you know what ya dream means because its your dream so its your interpretation.
i m almost 21 and av been trying obe since i was 16 without success thats five years man.
but am not down are dishearted i just keep trying then about 6 month ago i kept having resemblances of an  obe.
i just realised tho today pan that its not about wanting to fly thru walls or to the moon.that aint a good reason to wamt to obe.good reasons are personal health and develpoing spiritualitie but during our struggle to exit we forget bout the basic and start fantasiing about wanting to fly thru objects n do stuff that you see in them superheroe movies
obe doesnt change you.you have to change to have an obe.
eat healthy and lead a good lifestyle and respect the ppl around you.
then as a reward you'll have an obe and realise that obe is good but its not the most important the most important is you got your life on track and well
sorry for bad grammar and stuff am in a hurry n tired lol

Hehe my intention was never to be able to fly or go through walls. I must admit,
it sounds exciting and funny, but the only thing i ever wanted is to grow my awarenes
of whats "really" going on behind the scene...higher self, the mechanics behind it, and the
real reason why were here and doing what we´re doing. Im just endless curious.

Im meditating every day for 1h since 8 months with an entrainment system, which changed and
changes my life in various, positive ways - i think thats one step closer to AP, as u mentioned.

Thanks for your positive replys guys!

Hey Panthau!

I wouldn't give up now! Just before I started to project, I was having dreams about astral projection.... I personally think that its a good sign that your just about ready!

Lume

Thanks, that gives me hope :)

You have your whole life to practice AP.
Why give up after 7 months.....Dedication is key.

I dont know how you "try", but for me its a lot of energy im putting in by writing down
every night what i desire, by concentrating every night on my desire and because of that
sometimes do not often enough get enough sleep. All that thinking of AP, how i could make it better,
read and write in boards, and besides all that i only get frustrated.
Maybe thats exactly the problem, and i should "let go"...im just too impatient.

Hi dbmathis,

Thanks for your answer and your motivating words!

Its just that im totaly frustrated atm. I think i have to go through that first...maybe
then im more "ready" then now. I feel like a little child that doesnt get what it desires,
and by reading about people that try it twice and are successful, im even more frustrated...lol

Anyway...theres no other way then to go on. Whatever that means!

Thanks again,
Pan

Seems like this was really only a dream.

After 7 months of trying without any success, i official give up.
Its just too frustrating...still gonna visit this board sometimes.

i like that explanation :)

QuoteYes, this was an interesting dream, and I do believe you are being shown that your abilities to OBE and AP are going to be increasing and getting more exciting!  The fact that Buhlman was in them to me signals that it's related to the AP, and the dream dictionary I use indicates a move toward new abilities:
Dog
To see a dog in your dream, symbolizes intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success. Alternatively, it indicates a skill that you have ignored or forgotten.

With Buhlman having 3 dogs, you with one, shows me his 'stronger' abilities and more success at this time, while you are starting out with your one dog.

Hi there,

Im trying to AP since 7 months, without much success.
A ,,channel" told me a few days ago, that theres a ,,barrier"
that hinders me (protects me), but i am still able to project, its just harder for me.

Now tonight i dreamed that i met William Buhlman (! lol), with 3 dogs, and
all of his dogs pulled in one direction (i was with my dog too).  I then woke
up from the dream in another dream, where i was at a party (my mum was there!)
and Buhlman was also there, but without dogs. I told him about my dream and he then
came to me and said thats interesting, because that means im now ready to AP.
Because my whole physical situation and my relationship to my girlfriend are included
in this decision, and they are now stable enough.

What a weird dream, i hope its not just a brain fantasy product :-))
What do you think?

I think only if you have a strong emotional connection to her in any way.
So if you´ve only seen here and you like her face, that´d probably not enuff.
#138

Hehe im trying since about 7 months now, its not that easy for everyone :-)
Instead of getting OOB, i explored the walls that hinder me to achieve the goal,
so now i can work on these.

Since i began trying to be OOB, i started to meditate every day for 1h. Since
3 months im meditating with "Lifeflow", a entrainment system that not only
uses binaural beats. Its a strong one that will push you through your physical problems :)

Thanx for that tip with the breathing. I found out now that my mind tries to control the experience, which of course is impossible. So i gotta train myself to "let go" as a first step to be able to project.

"that i always
"forget" about the mantra and then fall asleep"

You are not lowering yourself (physical body) into sleep slowly enough. That commonly happened to me (with the breathing/counting) when I would jump feet first into sleep. Try to slow the sleep process down a bit, the more you do the more weird noises and sensations you should get, until ultimately you hit the vibrations. Takes practice but sometimes some people get it with very little practice and lots of observing. Good luck =-)

Ok thanx for the hint. But im not sure how that should work without getting into a sleep state.
Im meditating every day an hour with a mantra and never get any vibrations...
#141
I tried it with that mantra, still no luck. Wired thing is, that i always
"forget" about the mantra and then fall asleep (or remember my intention
and repeat the mantra again).

I tried it this night, and i really woke up in the middle of the night.
I started to scratch like a monkey and after about 10 seconds i realized
why i´ve been woken up. At this point i was too awake and nothing happend.
I then gave up and relaxed and then slipped 3 times into the hypnagogic state,
but at the moment i realize that im doing so, i slip out of it, no matter what i do.

I wasnt very excited, maybe its just my mind that cant let go. Its frustrating,
after a half year of trying still no result. Still i think this method is the best
i´ve tried so far.

Thx 4 the link.

That article is interesting, though astral traveling isnt mentioned.

I saw that light too, but with closed eyes, after i was fully awake and turned around.
It was like a lamp inside my head hehe

I got only two times the vibrations (im trying since a month or so), first one was when i awaked in the night...my body was shaked by
energy waves or whatever you may call it, and i heard some really loud explosions in my head. I wasnt frightened at all, but i was
totaly excited and then it stopped. Same (but not that intensive) happend when i meditated, my head began to vibrate...again i was so
excited that my heart seemed to explode.

Well, im only at the beginning of this journey...hopefully this chakra cd helps :)
Im gonna try it tonight, will try all of the sounds while im getting asleep.

Hi there,

Thx for the tip with the tibetan meditation cd, i got it now and i wonder which tracks should be used,
the "singing bowl" or the "normal" ones? Or all together at once?
