Lots of the books have their own views on OBE, and ones with a taint of religon will try and scare you in the process. Your soul cannot be harmed, nor your body. The worst that can happen is that you will be scared by a harmless creature that makes itself look big. Walking to it and saying "BOO!" will make it run like a little girl (No offense to the little girls out there) and your astral body, if attacked will just auto-throw you back to your physical body. Also, the leaching of energy isn't much to worry about. If you have read as much as you claim, counter-measures and different other wards work well.

Attempting AP will have a profound effect on your spiritual beleifs, I will say that. I know 4 people that became agnostic after I had them attempt minor AP related skills, such as inducing a lucid dream. They were skeptics but now like the idea of AP, but at the same time, they aren't too happy with sitting in boredom at church on Sundays.

Yep, but I found that the scum sucking bastard in my dream that scared the bejebus outta me was my spirit guide. You may want to try and work with energy then ATTEMPT to have a lucid dream. YOu never know what will come of things when you go against thought pattern/what a creature expects you to. I suggest trying to lucid dream so you can overcome whatever is scaring you with common sense. worked for me anyway

Im pretty sure that people that have a huge extra amount of energy after they fall asleep and very vivid dreams tend to also be sleepwalkers. I help walked in my sleep twice in my life, on one occasion I tried to go out my backdoor and the other occasion I woke myself up after bumping my head, a terrifying experience beleive me. The idea of sleepwalking scares me simply because people have been killed this way. One man killed himself when he had a dream about jogging and he was sleep-jogging it out I guess. He was hit by a truck and killed. He had the dream several times and he had explained it to his mother when he was visiting her. She saw him go out the door at 4am thinking he was just going to have a morning walk. he never came back...

As for the astral body loosening, that is on;y if your body has enough energy for it. I think having TOO much energy is what causes the sleepwalking, pretty sure. If you sleepwalk, GET HELP PRONTO.

I appreciate the help, I attempted at projection this afternoon but then my sister came in the room and screwed me up. After she had left I got a case of the shivers again then whatever it was just kind of left. No shivers since earlier, no perceptions of ANYTHING. After all this crap and then the fact they are all suddenly gone, the experience is comparable to a good looking women suddenly beaten with an ugly stick :-/

You know, its very awkward to know that most of us normal guys would point and laugh and call eachother stupid over this kind of thing. Nothing I can discuss with friends, THAT IS FOR SURE. No girls I know could help me anyway, [V]

P.S. To Thing, I use to use the shield method until I found its more effective to push them away with an unbearable energetic wind. I have always felt entitys able to push past that shield, its the same thing as dark matter in someones aura causing them pain, it simply will NOT go away. I have had the wind idea fail on me on 1 occasion, and that was when I found that a person around me had cancer. I know that the wind is very annoying because I have been nabbed by astral wind and it REALLY ticked me off, so I wouldn't wish that same general thing on anyone, just the same as I would never wish a shot to the beanbag on my worst enemy, its JUST WRONG.

How many people here have discovered they have more than 1 spirit guide? I have 1 as far as I know, and its a being that not many of you would like. But thats another story, its a good creature with good intentions, but it scares the bejebus out of me to look at it in detail. Ill try the counter-measures and see if that works. I have no idea why, but I get a funny feeling either A.Im somehow subconciously attracting these people/creatures or B.Im giving off energy that they like to feed on.

I have a weird problem that once a chakra is stimulated it will continue to pulse until I take a nap. of course it is pleasent but then it becomes annoying. As for the shivers, im not cold at all when they come on, they just happen, similar to hair standing on the back of your neck for no reason, except there is no fear or cold air to cause it :-/

I have come across what I beleived was a phantom in my dreams which is a glowing hot pink humanoid with a horrifying grin. I get shivers thinking about this creature. I am afraid of its looks but I do accept it. I later managed to work the courage to speak with this being and i found it was actually HELPING me in these situations. :-/

Imagine this, you and the other person knock into eachother while blindly moving to the others bedroom to check on them. My mother and I bumped into eachother in the hallway after us each having a nightmare where the other was hurt. When we went into detail it was the exact same dream. There is a small history of ESP in my family on my mothers side.

This is a very good topic, this was fun to read.

My personal situation is that I am an agnostic. I simply cannot beleive that one powerful being created Earth and the universe. I simply cannot beleive in religon because many religons ignore ethics for crowd control/destruction. Christianity contradicts itself, Islam promotes violence, Wicca relates to gods in the most rediculous manner possible, as an always appearent being. Buhhdism is the only one I can see without any MAJOR fault to it.

Next question arises, If one of the religon is truly correct, then which one? Also, seeing as how most religons related to some kind of heaven or hell, if it was true that ALL religons were correct in some sense, then hell would have every "soul" that ever existed coming in at a constant rate. Beleiving in a religon of one kind is a severe sin in another meaning that all people have a one way ticket straight to hell.

Next topic, lets dabble in realism for a moment here. People have lives, and many people go to church. Many people pray to their god for forgiveness for things they have done wrong. REMEMBER WHEN I SAID PEOPLE HAVE LIVES? Anyone that does not go to church has a gurnateed trip straight to hell because there is always going to be that one person that forgets to pray on ther own, there will always be that one person in church that is there because they think they will be forgiven for misdeeds. Peoplewhom go to church and pray for forgiveness are the only people that even MINUTELY fit the criteria for "heaven", and half of them will always commit some other sin and forget to ask for forgiveness. Sure, people aren't perfect, but perfectionism is what religon is all about, you must be perfect in your beleifs and your moral status to make it to this "heaven". That is why there are WAY too few people that will ever make it into this "heaven" if it truly does exist, which in my honest opinion, definitely does not. The truth may be mistaken with the higher realms of the astral plane, but simply and plainly, the idea of a heaven is stupid, plain and simple. I can do the same thing but on a much smaller scale, I can probably convince a small child to do something rediclous in exchange for a lollipop. This is no different than what religon is trying to express.

Next, we have facts to discuess. YES TABLETS WERE DISCOVERED WITH ANCIENT WRITINGS. YES, WE HAVE FOUND BODIES. YES, WE HAVE FOUND PROOF OF A GREAT FLOOD. Guess what all of this comes down to? A NICE LONG STORYTELLING. You come up with proof Jesus Christ existed, ill give you a cookie. You prove to me he had all of his healing abilities, Ill give you two cookies. You prove to me he is the son of god and received his special abilities from such god and died taking all current sin with him to the afterlife, regardless of the fact we have many worse crimes and adultery all around us and prostitutes and drugs and assassinations and people spouting their corporate beleifs like a religon, then i will commit suicide.

ALL in all, this topic comes down to two final and stupid questions that crawls underneath everyones skin,WHY DO YOU BELEIVE(have faith in)GOD, and DOES GOD EXIST AND CAN YOU PROVE IT?

I have heard of what your talking about but im not sure what the technical term for it is. It is not reccomended anyone of low skill try it for HORRIBLE defects that may result. In turn, I have never tried, and I have dropped Psionics completely because the energy manipulation and that of AP (my methods anyway) are so different that depending on which one I use more, that one works :-/

Ever heard the term "seeing stars"? Thats a fine example. If you go outside on a sunny day and look with no major focus at the sky, you will see those same starlike globules floating around, its an optical illusion, thats all. Then again, it could be the REAL energy floating around, but I doubt you have an extremely active third eye

I understand how you feel man. Oh yeah, DBZ is anime, japanese animation but is hardly a cartoon which is animation directed at kids. Watch the uncut versions to understand this. Also, DBZ was based around Ki techniques and ancient legends, not the other way around. In this physical realm, i don't think anyone can use energy to fly, maybe levitate at most. As for ki waves causing pain/death in a person, I do beleive this is possible but very difficult. Ki is related to the bakerys of the death arts that so very few people know and understand.

Now ill stop criticising and start supporting. This is a forum based around Astral Projection and any other abilities discussed here generally have their own forum or are related to AP. The use if Ki is NOT related in any way shape or forum to AP. The idea of the energy in itself is fine simply because it is related to sustaining your energy body while OBE. Other than maybe using bodily energy in the astral, the Ki topics are not assisting anyone in any way shape or forum, and half of the children that following the DBZ anime need to go talk to their parents about their religon before even COMING to these forums. Im an agnostic, my parents know it. I certainly know if your parents knew half the garbage you children are spouting to complete strangers about metaphsyical ideas that they themselves will not beleive in, you would be in DEEEEEEP trouble, possible punished and/or reeducated in your family religon. I for one am lucky that my parents are accepting and understand, I grew up learning about the bible, and slowly faded away from it on my own.

Not regular contact, but I definitely have met my spirit guide. Rather scary experience until I knew who it was. Now, if you feel alone and you feel like your still in your physical body, you WILL be scared by something abnormal. I was terrified by a hot pink humanoid figure with a scary as hell grin that made my skin crawl. When i finally spoke to this creature after seeing it multiple times, i leared alot.

Use the same technique that you used then, only this time try for an exit technique OR just use that technique further and you will eventually push yourself out. Its like an instant transmission of your mind form one place to your astral body with maybe a second of missed conciousness. Once out, you will have some problems moving around but you will get used to it. My first time out of body was very short, I didn't have enough energy to sustain my astral form and my astral body collapsed to the floor and a second later I found myself back on my bed laying down. I damned myself repeatedly because what happened was WAY too risky. I collapsed instead of coming back on my own, BIG mistake. Good luck in the future [8D]

Don't let the idea that there are some bad spirits frighten you. Your chances of meeting one are very slim, and the funny thing is, they are terrified of you. There are all sorts of creatures on Earth that try to make themselves look bigger and meaner to scare away predators or something they are afraid of. There is a bullfrog that does this, it bloats itself up like a bubble to scare away predators and will do this in any situation. Imagine the astral-wildlife this way. They can take on any form they desire, as can you with enough practice. All you have to do is confront them even in the slightest manner and you will find there is nothing to be afraid of. I use to have nightmares and I eventually found out the being i was afraid of was my spirit guide Beleive me, you have nothing to be afraid of, understand and you won't fear it anymore.

It is from my own experience that people tend to communicate with emotions and thoughts rather than some form of vocalization. I spoke with a woman outside my home while OBE and she never opened her mouth once. Also, temperature, yes, I have felt cold rain and dew on plant leaves but i have never felt fire. If your next question is asking whether it can hurt you, no it cannot

Kozzi i know how you feel. I am alone in my family in terms of the metaphysical, and my number one problem was fear. I lost my fear the first time I was able to suck it up and talk to (WHOM i assume)my spirit guide. When I say that, it sounds easy. Now imagine this. Your in a false environment generated by your mind, like Im at some kind of dock and I had just climbed from the water. I look to my right and in the distance I see a glowing hot pink humanoid figure. it isn't a man or a women, but it had a terrifying smile, a smurk if you will. I then woke up realising I had seen this creature before in past dreams. I finally sucked it up and spoke with this being in my dreams, and it dropped the smurk and lowered its glow. Basically, it said "Do you not fear that which is right? That which is wrong? How can you tell the difference? Is your fear placed correctly?"
Now roughly translated, I think he/she was trying to tell me that fear of what I already know is simply idiotic. If you realise this and try to view people with the thought they are not to be feared, I think you won't have a problem.

Thats suprises me that you bring this up. I can manipulate a rainstorm once it has formed. I can take a quick 10 seconds of though and just out of will cause the rain to slow or stop for a set period of time. Then as soon as Im at my location, BOOM! Rain comes crashing back down again, rather funny actually :-/

Interesting... I scored low in all except for a high in schizotypical and moderate in schizoid. Wow, i think a couple of these are semi-accurate. i don't have a disorder, i just tend to act in a way that others PERCEIVE me to be. Thats why i don't beleive in shrinks, alot of their perception of train of thought is BS. An example is stating that when a child is constantly being distant and refusing to volunteer information daily that the child is either self centered or paranoid. Not true. I hate hearing PROFESSIONAL opinions from people who beleive they can determine how other people think. I can think that you are evil because you have a red hair tie! I remember the feelings I got from it. It all hit me so quickly. The vibrations came at me and i heard a hemi-sync brainwave type of pulse mixed with an electroshock type noise while my whole body vibrated, as if rocked by an awsome amount of electricity. i projected out and stumbled forward about 10 feet and got my astral vision. I tried to control my excitement and pulled some energy from my phsyical body. Then i felt the strangest sensation in the world, passing through a brick wall! I was outside and it was a beutiful sunny morning. I remembered what i had read in AD and decided to give swift movement a try. I willed myself out onto the road and then started forward. I raced along the road with only my toes on the ground. i stopped at the end of the street and turned. Then I tried the next step, jumping! Anyone here like that as much as me? I launched upward from one in of the street to the other. All those feelings were so amazing that my eyes tear up when i think about it. Im gonna try and visit an astral realm or something the next time out. Good luck to all.
