Welcome to Dreams! / Just Sharing 2 experiences
November 13, 2003, 14:38:51
Awesome experience Rooj.  I did the matrix thing in a dream about a month ago but I wasn't lucid.  These 4 little kids in private school clothes started shooting at my friend and I with revolvers.  They nipped us both in the sides with shots.

I immediately went Matrix mode, I charged from the left, and my friend charged from the right.  I covered the distance in about half a second and dodged 2 bullets on the way, I dodged a shot at point blank range, grabbed the kids wrist, turned the gun, and made her shoot herself and the bullet went through the next kid too.  My friend did the same thing from the other side.

Hope you don't think I'm distrubed for killing little kids in a dream, They were shooting at me after all, hehe.  They reminded me of those 2 little girls from 'The Shining' I believe it was, creepy little kids.

Ok, well now we're getting a little deeper.  In that case, I believe that "I know" I'm at work right now typing on the computer.  This would imply that everything 'I know' is subjective because it is all in my mind, so everything in that case would be a belief in your argument.  I think, that is what you mean.

But, maybe what your saying is closer to this:  I know I'm in love right now with someone.  Someone might say to me, you think you're in love, or you believe you're in love.  Well from experience, I know I am, but, I can't prove this to anyone because it's a feeling that only I can feel I cannot project this into you, for you to feel (or atleast I don't know how, hehe).

I did not interpret these experiences, I felt them, I knew them, I realized them, but then again, I cannot prove this to you.  One might say that everything I ever experience is interpreted by me, through my 5 senses and 'other' senses, so the correct term I suppose would be that I did not 'analyze' these experiences, and draw conclusions.

*Thanks for playing devil's advocate, interesting argument.*

Almost everytime I try to take a nap in the early afternoon it happens to me, maybe I should attempt projection from there?  I thought that it didn't work that way for some reason...

I have downloaded the Freedome of Choice book, but I havn't had a chance to read it yet, I will try to read some of it today[:)].

Good point about belief being a filter James.  This is another reason why I choose to not believe or disbelieve, I settle with not knowing because I do not want to shape my perceptions around a belief.  I think having no expectations will give the most clarity in viewing any given situation.

Welcome to Magic! / Egyptian Book of the Dead

I'm having a hard time understanding your motive in this post skymageinfinity.

To some people learning about Ancient Egypt is not about money, plain and simple, you can't generalize everyone, it doesn't work.  Some people are interested by the mystery or whatever it is they're interested in.  Everyone has their own view point.

Most of what is known/speculated about Atlantis and Mu, have been from psychics.  We don't always need physical proof, if you're arguing physical proof through technology, you may be at the wrong site.

I personally cannot conciously project, but I'm practicing.  Until then I don't 'know' if they exist, and I don't make myself believe or disbelieve, I just leave it at 'I don't know'.

Sorry for getting off topic, I usually don't make argumentative posts, but I don't know if you're posting for any other reason other than to argue and to try to amaze and astound everyone with your 'knowledge'.

Hello RodentMouse, you put into words the feeling I get too.  I can feel the interconnectedness of everything clearly, and I fell more concious than ever, and I realize that this is what I'm aiming for with meditation, etc.

Thanks for putting it into words so well [:D]

As far as art goes relating to OBE, Alex Grey is my favorite.  My favorite writer at the moment is R.A. Salvatore (writes fantasy novels), him and Robert Jordan (also fantasy).

Actually, Robert Bruce developed the New Energy Ways system for a person that was blind since birth.

Interesting tid-bit of information there Tisha.  So how does that work if you're a hermaphrodite, do both sex organs work?  Could you impregnate yourself?  If so, what would your children call you?

Seriously though, I think I need some visual confirmation on this, it's one thing to read about it, but I want to see it, send me a link of some info if you have one.

Awesome Nay.  I remember reading in Astral Dynamics, or maybe it was the Astral Dynamics worksheet... anyway, he said that you should think of a destination to try for so that if you do conciously AP, or randomly AP, you have some direction.

But, I can imagine that when I do AP for my first time I'll be so excited that I won't be able to think of anything but the moment.

Why would exploring your spirituality and trying to become more attuned to God, and to learn the truth be anything but good.

I will not bash religion because I will not change anyone's mind, but one thing that really upsets me about most organized religion, is there is no spirituality in it, there are no spiritual practices.  Everything is founded on faith/belief, you do not need to believe, you can know (through experience).  But, how can you have these experiences without knowing some practices (luck aside).

Glad you found us though, hope I didn't offend you, these are just my opinions, and I respect that yours are most likely different.

I do not think hermaphrodites occur in human beings, I could be wrong.  I wasn't talking about humans when I said that.  And, Tisha, yes, you are evil for starting this post... EVIL!

All I know is that it was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve...

Ok sorry, don't bash me, I couldn't help it.

Oh, and by the way, if you like the darker metal stuff, check out Avenged Sevenfold's 'Waking the Fallen' album, my newest purchase, and it's AWESOME.

Music does personally effect my emotions, but it's not the same everytime.  If I'm feeling frusterated or flustered I throw in some meta-music, like the hemi-sync series to calm my nerves.  Sometimes I can't listen to negative music because it rubs off on me too much, I get a little tired of the whining, it can bring me down.

But, a lot of the music I listen to is dark, and has dark lyrics, but the music itself gets me hyped and uplifts me.  When I'm focused on spirituality I'll throw in some TOOL most times, Maynard makes my spine tingle, hehe.

I love music driven by emotion, nothing hits harder, for me atleast.  As far as the origins of music and such, I'm sure it's been around since the beginning, even the sounds of nature can be like music, (birds, insects, water flowing).  It seems to me to be an excellent outlet for creativity and emotion, I myself am trying to learn how to play the guitar so that I can use it for just that :).

Welcome to Dreams! / Deja-vu and related topics
November 07, 2003, 08:04:01
Scientists were just trying to put a logical explanation to it, I'm sure they weren't monitoring someone's brainwaves during deja-vu, because you can't just ask someone to have deja-vu.

The more I meditate the more I have it.

Have you ever known it's happening so you try to change the event by doing something spontaneous, like waving your arms around crazily and saying gibberish?  My friend always does that when it happens, it's pretty funny.

Also, a similar topic.  Have you ever thought about someone you havn't seen in a long time, I'm talking years, and you just randomly think about them, then about 10 minutes later you see them.
