The Lucid Dreaming (LD) experiences will hopefully increase for everyone. Then you can try out all sorts of flying techniques.  

It seems that if I purposely think about LD before sleeping, it helps me to LD sometimes.

For an intoductory, excellent and helpful read I'd also go with Robert Peterson's book.

All the others are great too, that is Monroe, Muldoon & Carrington, etc., but for someone new, I'd recommend Peterson's first.

Thanks for the introduction too. The Bruce model never really worked for me. My success has been with phasing and that's largely due to utilyzing the methods written by another moderator here, Frank, whom you've mentioned in your introduction.
