And you said you weren't good Tisha..
Do you have any formal training in remote viewing? Or do you just do it like that?

Clandestino and James,

It might be better if you don't do any labelling on what you see. The mind always like to fill in detail making a good result wrong.

Instead of saying a small toy car maybe you should just say that it is something small or shiny or red etc.

And no, this is not my attempt at rv.[:D]

Meditation, clear the sinuses? Sounds good to me as I have a bad case of allergy myself. What kind of meditation do you propose? Any kind?

I really have to admit that I don't really practice meditation.

Since your asking about my method, my method is... no method. [:D]

To OBE, just do like you're going to sleep. Only you retain awareness. You don't sleep all the way.  So, just sleep, you don't need to relax, nothing need to be done. Anything else is overcomplication.

Actually I just bounce the asleep/awake line while looking at the calming blackness behind my clodes eyelids.

That's it.

BTW check out this site.

Some people may be a champ in tournament but that does not make them martially aware. How many time you've heard of so called black belt beaten to a pulp by a street thugs?

My karate sensei told us about the story of his friend (a champ) being in a fight with someone who apparently is not of any martial arts. To cut along story short, this "karate champ" punch the guy 2 or 3 time. But then the guy just beat him with just a punch. Apparently "the champ" is carried away by the way he train which is suitable for tournament but not real self defense. In kumite the karateka are supposed to concentrate on the correct execution of the tech. and usually just touch on the surface of the opponents body, retracting their punch to their side quickly and not go the whole way with the punch. This doesn't help him beat that guy.

Frank: I think what LS is experiencing is more like around his physical body vicinity. Or did I get it wrong?
#134
I agree with Fyrenze.

Another tip, she can try using her hand as if removing blindfold from her eyes. Or she can try to take a breath in the astral just like in the physical and ask for understanding (thanks to Frank's advice, it really works great).

I'm not that technique oriented. I don't even do them in specific order. Nevertheless there are something that I do most of the time and think would help.

What I found useful is to deeply relax yourself. Relax yourself, then when you think you are very relaxed, relax some more. To do this, no special technique is necessary. I found out that for me it help sometime to place my hands under the pillow supporting my head although this is not really good for your circulation. It only makes me relaxed more, in other word, the relaxation is more natural. Any position that feel comfortable to you. What I found most helpful is to relax from head to toe and not the other way around. No tense and relax technique either. I found out that it's better for me to just relax and let go. Also sometime I focus on the heartbeat just like you do but I also try to feel my pulse in any part of my body. My hand, feet, leg neck, ear, finger any part. This is actually from Sylvia Muldoon article on "how to induce incapacity" but I can't seem to find it now. You can try searching for it.

No energy work, meditation or anything when trying to project. What I do sometime is focusing on the blackness behind my eyelid and watching wake/sleep line. Doesn't matter if you do it in the broad daylight either. After some moment I will just lose awareness of my body and some parts of my body will float/move/sway. Sometime I will just float out. Also I found it helpful to concentrate on the point beatween my eye. The point where you see thing when you imagine them.

Also I don't found it necessary to do it all at the same time. The most important point is just relax, and let go. That's why I don't like rope much.[:)]

It's better if you just forget of your body after relaxing it and just fall into the expanse of your mind.

Some of my friends take aikido and sometime I go to their dojo to watch them train. As far as I can see, aikido is avery peaceful style. Not much offence. In fact they always wait for another to attack first and counter using throw, lock etc. No punching, kicking like taekwondo, karate or other strike based arts.

So it's hard for me to see that aikido is more of an offensive style. Unless your friend is talking about the kind of aikido that is used by Steven Seagal in his action movie (which is not really aikido in the purest sense). They did train very much in the correct method of falling which can be categorised as an offense to oneself...[:D]

Timeless,

The life patterns that you lay out is great. Got me thinking at what stage I'm in now. Yeah, it's more easier to be positive when things are not hammering you. But this is life. Thanks for sharing your life exp. That must be though. You handle your boss quite well. I can relate with not being remotely the same person that you've been. You're so right on changing yourself to change the world. I guess that's what I'm gonna do right now. Also your point of how to act and not react to people are well taken. Knowing how to control your frame of mind without anything outside affecting it is what I'm trying to do.

I used to believe everything happens for a reason but some circumstance, some choice that I take make me doubt it. I was thinking for a while, maybe I have screwed up. Yet if I think more deeply I understand that if that event has not happen, I wouldn't have come to understand some of the thing that I take for granted today. God works in marvelous way.

I read somewhere that you do meditative prayer. Can you explain a little bit on that? I think it may give me some idea on my practice. I'm not a christian but I believe strongly in God.

Jouni,

Your post have brought me thinking. In the past few years so much has changed. My own values, what I believe in also has become quite different. Sort of like growing too big for a pair of jeans. Now I need to adjust everything. I need to learn of my purpose and taking stock of the spiritual me and setting a new direction. In fact I'm going to evaluate all that is me and figuring out which way to go.

For me, the spiritual and the outsie life are never that clear cut. Maybe that's because of the need to feel whole and balanced. Mind, body, spirit and emotion must work together.

Thanks for the link. Whew, quite a bit to read. What I'm more interested is how to directly stimulate part such as the frontal lobe. Eventhough the test are using external electrical stimulation, maybe we can reproduce the effect by using our energy in certain way. Frontal Lobe Supercharge book seems interesting, but is it really necessary? I don't think anyone here have purchase it.

I also found out that being "at peace" is important for controlling the experience. It goes both way actually.

Some of my friend  have told me about their experience which sounds very much like a projection OBE realet symptoms. They are not into occult, just everyday people. They also don't seem to be very interested to pursue this.

I don't know why some are more prone to this but I guess that most have certain kind of personality and way of thinking. I don't know about my parent as I never ask. But my mum is a very light sleeper. Although my great grandpa do thing that some people may call as a shaman or magician or whatever (which he is not actually but I don't know the right words). Many people come to him for thing such as exorcising, healing and other thing. I have seen him in operation sometime when I was young. He is down to earth and religious. And no, I've never learned about stuff like this from him. He is not crazy either.

Tai Chi in its pure form is a great martial arts. One of the greatest actually.  But it has been watered down much. I can't remember now but if I'm not mistaken they have 100 something form and now it become 20 something or 30 something. Sorry but it's been a while.

As an example most don't teach how to escape from wrist grab/lock as a move. Now in karate we're teached how to escape from that by flicking the wrist in some way but some of todays tai chi don't teach it and the tai chi exponent need to use his energy in some way to get loose.

The fact that most people nowadays only learn tai chi for health purpose some instructor just teach that part. However if you can find a master that can and want to teach it as a martial arts i suggest just go for it.

I think I have something like that. It was during sleep paralysis state. I feel my conciousness become like a small ball and moving around my body with a high speed much like the twisted roller coster you described. To put it another way, I was orbiting my body at breakneck speed.

I can't really make it out what this means. Maybe this is some kind of training?

#143
Just go to the main site and download the free NEW manual. Honestly it can't get easier than this.

Isn't kai/kiai the sound you make when attacking? The sound that come out from the hara/dantien place. Although I understand that indirectly it may direct your force from your center to your strike somewhat.

I don't think karate is involved with the chi/ki aspect much. They are more focused on the mechanical aspect like correct execution of technique. Then again this come from someone who never finish karate (I become bored and frankly speaking it doesn't bode well with my personality).

If you're interested with martial arts that develop life energy there are more suitable martial arts like Kung Fu, taichi, HsingYi or Bagua. There are any type of kungfu. Well taichi is excellent but can take a long time to master. Today, most of them teach a diluted version of tai chi which doesn't emphasize much on the combat aspect.

Celestial,

If it's no problem with you, can you tell me how do you start to meet your guide? Do you met him by projecting?

I've toyed with the idea of a guide sometime and have some experience which I'm not really sure. Like being pulled out of my body when I asked for assistance (and getting startled and scared afterwards), another time I was just relaxing floating, bathing in vibration not really doing anything (i don't even try to get down on the floor and walking) until I slowly enter my body back. The vibe's still there so I lazily just bath in it again. then I feel something trying to pull me out by the hand and I still lazily don't do anything eventhough I'm really already out. I was going for a distance until my focus get back to my body. I have to admits that I am not really comfortable with the idea of a guide yet. What do you think?

Howdy Timeless,[:D]

Actually after I posted this I checked the Astral Consciousness forums and saw your post there. Maybe because  the title is "hey Frank somethinng" (can't remember that thread name, boy am I absent minded)that other people don't check it out?

It's been a long time since my biology left me (or is it the other way around?). I need to find myself some brain picture, with a good crash course.

quote:
I think people might dislike discussing biology because then they think people are just saying it is all in your head. To me I think all these exercises people are doing here are helping to build brain pathways and once they have, they are able to acess the spiritual realms and project more easily. Perhaps some are even born with them and therefore are naturals at this stuff. I definitely do not think what is experienced once these pathways are fully developed is just imagination. Rather I think our imagination is then able to give us more accurate representation of what we are experiencing without a bunch of subconscious garbage getting in the way.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Our brain is very adaptive. Our experience and learning help forge neural pathway so that it become easier to do whatever that we do with repetition. Eventhough we're spiritual being, we're also a physical being, at least right now on earth. I think as we practise more AP/meditation/phasing/etc it becomes easier and easier to integrate our learning to the physical. Most people have problem recalling Astral experience but as they repeat the experience, new pathway are forged for better recall. I wonder if those who are into this thing since small have some advantage as their neural connection are made since a young age?

quote:
I think Neil Slade's think forward is putting energy into developing the connection between the prefrontal and the Amygdala. It being the prefrontals (especially the left) that give the positive response. Shifting back likely lands you right in the Amygdala that could have all sorts of negative results including dizziness since the Amygdala is so close to our inner ear canal.

So, is it more of activating frontal lobe which is very little used part of the brain and the prefrontal rather than the amygdala itself? Is it like that amygdala is the key to unlock the connection?

You say something about the left and right amygdala and prefrontal. The left give a positive response. What about the right?

My confusion is for all to see...

All in all, I gotta say that I really love my brain.[:)]

For me, it doesn't matter whether it was night or in broad daylight. When I'm in paralysis state I can see and hear many thing in my room, sensing presence, seeing my friends and family doing stuff, seeing invisible person (actually you can't see invisible person, but what I see are just like trace of energy moving).

Problem is, our own fear can be projected outside and back to us (echo Frank [:)] ). Perception is in the eye of the beholder. Also Focus 12 state is quite famous for boom, bang, shrieking, image, ripping, creaking and other manner of disruption.

Aside from the girl problem which I can't help [:P]. The thing that I think is most helpful is trying to feel the feeling of love inside you. And when there is that creaking noise or other disruption happen, try to experience this again inside of you and then try to see what happen. Beside, if it was a neg and try to bug you, it already know you're trying to project. IMHo this is more of adweller of a threhold experience or the shadow as Timeless posted.

Thanks for the reply Frank,

I don't get back right to my body after being pullsed backward. the pull was short and forceful. I was pullsed back a few meter back. After that I'm still in the astral but the environement looks different. Basically I'm still in the same environment but some tiny bits of fine detail change. It was like I was forced to see a further view or change my focus.

quote:
Also, a quick question. Why is the building in the Astral so long? Or I'm in the training ground?

Sometime when I'm in a big building, the building seems like it do not end and builded quite long. I don't see any exit.

At one time I pojected to the astral equivalent of my campus, only they are different in structure and much more beautiful. I found this weird cause at that time I'm at home and I never intend to go there that I remember, just arrive there like that. Although I did remember wanting to contact my friend who is staying at campus.

FYI Frank the astral grave that I saw looks much like christian graveyard. I'm not a christian.

JohnCurtis,

I can't really help you with rope as I don't really use it but for me, the vibration isn't really necessary to project. Sometime I feel it, most of the time I don't. Maybe I just don't notice it. For me, the vibrations are full body, constant and very gentle (yours might differ). Usually, i just bath in it, enjoying the sensation, then I float out effortlessly.

My suggestion is that when the vibe come, you just stop any technique that you are using such as rope and just bath in it for a while, then if you haven't float automatically, just will yourself to float or roll over to the side. IMHo, the rope is the mean to kickstart the process and when you're vibrating etc. the process is already started and doing other thing will disrupt it.

Another thing that people have mentioned is that if your vibration is of uneven kind, you might try to smooth it out. I actually don't know how to do this but other people might know how.

Also don't be afraid to experiment and try your own way as what work to some, might not work for other.

Hi,

Timeless,

Can you tell me about the amygdala thing? I'm a bit confuse about clicking forward at Neil Slade website. Seems too wonderous to be true.

In fact I have post about that a few days ago. you might like to join there...
http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4297
Most people don't seem to believe it though.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Silver,

I don't know about meditating but when I'm trying to project sometime
my bodies, limb seems to float and rock back and forth. There is no physical movement. I guess this maybe different than what you have.
