I actually picked the bible up a few days ago out of utter boredom. After reading a little ways into the old testament, I couldn't help thinking "WTF? Do people actually READ the bible?!?"

They said they were aware of the content of the forum, so here goes

I've had dreams the last two nights about aliens. Weather this is just me filling my head with all of this crap, or it actually relates to these scenarios somehow, is unknown to me. I wonder if Zeta has anything to say on that :/

Also, the zetatalk site claims that actual control of psychokinetic abilities by humans in this round is impossible, and psychokenesis only manifests randomly or is uncontrollably triggered. They then mentioned that Yogis were using simple tricks to imitate PK. I personally find this erronous, since I've myself seen and done PK with friends. Not only that, but what HPB experienced in the far east must have been pretty damn spectacular for her to want to come back and write books like she did about it. So, what's with that?

Zeta also said that all our current concepts of God are off. I wonder if this includes the theosophic and vedic concepts of 'god' so to speak. I can't help but wonder how right or wrong HPB was in her writings.
And finally, I wonder what the zetas have to say about stuff like this :/

I'm unsure, but I believe something of this nature happened to me and a few friends. Back in March a different forum I frequent fell into verbal combat with a certain person. This same guy has a history of slithering around on different messageboards and usenet groups and being able to spark gigantic threads lashing out against him with a single post. Later on I talked to the guy and found out that he considers himself a split person; the peaceful guy he used to be, and the part that is able to create such a huge vortex of hate and emotion from others. The part that he uses to emotionally destroy people. He claimed this part sort of came into him a few years ago. Obviously it sounds like some kind of energy vampire or other sentient evil.
Anyway between the vicious flinging of text on said forum, it seems 'Malkavian' as he called it, spread a bit into me and some others.

Uh actually, they had said that their people had been thrown into mental institutions for their religion. Correct me if I'm wrong, but mental institutions are for people with irrational and extreme/dangerous beliefs. That describes christianity a lot more than it does hinduism. Emphasis on the irrational part.

I dunno what all this mayatnic crap is, but we stand on the most shaky ground in existance on these boards; that of religion. By necessity, we must partially put away or downplay to opinion our distinct preconcieved notions and personal beliefs. We must remain open minded. That ability is all that keeps us and the middle east from acting identically. The acceptance that each individual person has their own entirely different reality, that reality is not at all objective but subjective to the consciousness experiencing it. In that light, I suppose goingslow did become reckless and did cross the line. However, I also dislike all this "omfg he called mayatnkldfjd a cult omf omf HEATHEN" type of stuff going on. It's fine to have your beliefs, it's fine to stand up for your beliefs. But when it gets to the point where one person is making accusations against another and another is (ab?)using his power to ban that person for disrespectfully questioning those beliefs, then it has become out of hand.
We all need to think about what we're doing on these boards, what we're here for, and what we should be here for. IMO, that is our similarities, our shared interest in metaphysics, and the ability to LEARN from the different beliefs of others. And yeah it's like 5AM I dunno wtf I just wrote.

Hinduism is far and away more scientific and less dogmatic than christianity. I know who belongs in the delusional bin, and it isn't the hindus.

pml, I just wanted to let you know that your Rosicrucian stuff has given me SOME hope that Christianity hasn't lost all wisdom and meaning just yet. The teachings seem to faithfully echo their proper origins in the Kabala and other ancient mystical systems of thought. They also ring true to the teachings of Blavatsky, which is music to my ears.
I gave a few family members some of the Rosicrucian diagrams and pamphlets on the death process and reincarnation as consolation for a recently deceased aunt. Since they're all dogmatic mainstream christians, I figured they would give Christian mysticism (which I've honestly never seen before) a stronger second glance than my usual Vedic or Theosophic stuff.

she was explaining that in the origins of the christian dogma Lux or lucifer was the first angel or being but this was changed as the being worshipped as God by the christians could not possibly have originated after what is considered by christianity now to be Satan. I think there was more on this in the book, I'll try to find it.

I once got scheduled (without my knowing) for a school psychological counselor interview because I "thought I could mystically astral project" among other ignorant, stupid, and baseless accusations. At any rate, I came out of it fine, but I remember some of the questions like "do you believe you can see things that other people can't see" "do you believe you can hear things that other people can't hear". My answer was no, of course not. If I didn't know that they were just an attempt to diagnose schizophrenia I would have added the rest of my thought; I don't see or hear things that other people can't, just that most people don't.

I'm very interested in the idea of meeting in the astral. For those experienced, could you expound on the nature of the meetings? Like.. what is it like? How is the interaction of raw emotions? What's it like being able to see the mind of another person? Stuff like that.

Ever lived in a ghetto in a city?
Ever been in a war?
Ever had everything you own destroyed by natural disaster?

You musn't forget that as many good traits as our world has, it's got an equal number of bad. We may be in heaven, but we're also in hell.

You never rationalized your denunciation of other gods due to their being 'dead in their graves' when Jesus is just as dead. Don't give me any of that Jesus is still alive crap, fact is he's not here on the physical, nor is mohammed, or buddha. Your arument makes no sense.
