Hey Shawn Shedt,
Every child is different and so is also every parent. You might want to be carefull as some children might be afraid of that and they would relate that to ghosts, harry potter, halloween stories, etc... You might want to introduce things one at a time. At this stage I am introducing my children only one thing: dreams. I encourage them to share their dreams if they want to and if they remember them (they are 5 and
. And if they ask questions, I answer, but here again I pay attention to their reaction as I do not want to scare them. And for example the big one already asks questions such as "why are we alive?", "what happens when we die?", etc.. So, one approach is first to aks what the child thinks about it and then accordinlgy to answer a little more. And also try to remember when you were a child, at what age did you want to know, a what age where you ready to know, etc... So try to put yourself into the place of your child and try to see the world with your child's eyes. Some children might prefer playing lego rather than being told about OBE. I think it is better to wait for later, such as teens, to explicitly try to teach them about these things.
Once you will have your first child you will have other things to worry about, such as not enough sleep, doctor appointments, day care, schools, laundry, etc... so don't rush forward, take it easy. You will need a lot of patience and a lot of energy!
Good luck and all the best!
