I must admit I've done something similar, in regards to a troll that has come to a forum I frequent, except I cut quite a bit deeper. A really unkind thing to do someone... Especially when I saw how deep-rooted the problem with him was.

Welcome to Magic! / my thought of life

You can, if you wish and have the intrest to do so, gain objective knowledge (Opinion => subjective.) about the workings of these things. One could however argue that objective knowledge is extremely boring, and I would not contest that, so unless you have a burning desie to figure out what makes the world tick then you're more likely to travel the path of personal experience (=>Subjective, again).
It's entirely up to you wich path you wish to walk, but remember, you're free to go in any direction you chose, so don't religiously march under the banner of anything. Go where you please! =)

We can not exclude something just because we can not directly see it, just like you can not exclude punctuation! Yes, you're more or less right, except for the level of abstraction (That means these things are not concrete objects, such as dragons and stuff.), but please, the little voice in my head chokes when it tries to read one long sentence without any interruption.

Ah, sorry for giving the wrong impression. The kaballah gives a result on almost any number you put into it, so there's nothing that says that it has to be this way.  I was hoping that I would be able to come up with something of significance to you by posting a lot of findings.
Right now I'm trying to research the names "Johan Taal" and "Johan Moss" (Since I'm not sure.) that was the name of a "white sorcorer" that was presented to me in an odd fashion in a dream. I'm concidering all options in my search and all permutations of the names. Since "sorcorer" in my vocabulary is more on the questionable side of things than "wizard", I think "white" was added to the name by whatever means as to signify that this was a Good Guy. But I could be wrong, and have to look at all the options.
In a similar way I must ask you to look at all the options as not to miss something that could be crucial to your search. Mankind knows too little to afford dismissing anything. =)

The Matrix teaches you to ask questions.

(That is a Good Thing.)

I would assume that Greek and Latin were given versions of the system due to the shere amount of literature that was written in those languages. What the parallell to reality is with them I know however nothing of. What I do now is that the human mind usually associates certain concepts with numbers, or that it has certain conceptual groups in which numbers are included. Using this one might be able to graph the sum of human knowledge and/or implement it through means that do not neccessarily have to be what is normally termed 'magickal'.

Yes, but we'd be no better than him if we rub it in. [:o)]

~ The Book of the Law ~
Liber AL vel Legis
sub figura CCXX
as delivered by XCIII = 418 to DCLXVI

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."
"Love is the law, love under will."
"The word of Sin is Restriction."

I think it is Gematria, all of it, but there is Hebrew, Greek and Latin versions of it. It is used with the Sepher Sephiroth and the Quabalah (however you want to spell it) for a lot of magickal purposes by many powerful practitioners.

I'm not that familiar with the use, but I assume that it, as a system, can be used for just about any prupose with good results. Sort of like I Ching. In the near future I'll probably start studying it as to see if I can use it to further my cause.

(Thanks for moving the topic. =)

Usually I do chakra meditation just before going to sleep, so I guess there would be little point closing them at that point. Maybe I should do the grounding at morning instead?

I've got a book on the subject of Chi Kung by Wong Kiew Kit that mentions the horse stance, so I'll suit me most excellently. =)

Karate, and a _lot_ of walking since my bike was stolen...
#135
No, I'm not, but I guess I should look into it.
#136
It was just for the duration of the expansion that the uncomfortability was there. Not an actual pain.
Prior to the meditation I'd had a "mental monologue" with what seems to popularly be termed 'higher self', suggesting I might need some help. I guess I got help. [:P]

Maybe I should see if the same thing would work for my brow chakra? [:)]

(And I'm quite used to pain, so it doesn't really bother me.)

It's unfamiliar and a lot more sudden than I expected. I'm not sure what to think about it. If I decide to stop it, then I'll most likely be successful in doing so, but if this really is progress that I'm seing then the progress would also be stopped. What I want is to progress.

ED:
I just realized this topic really should be in the Energy Body Development forum. Why I didn't think of that before I can only guess. =/
#138
Lol. That would be something, wouldn't it? [:D]

But who says we are limited by such things as rocks floating in space? If we base power on such a thing, what would we do if they disappeared?
Unlikely, you might say, but is dependence power? If we depend on other things, then that makes us weak, doesn't it?

So what then is true power, if not the ability recognize sources of energy and apply them in a manner suitable to your will? And if that is the case, then surely both men and women can utilize the same sources.

Personally I don't really like systems of magic dependent on events limited in time. I get the sense that the environment is controlling the magician when I would prefer it being the other way around. Sure one could argue that one is to live in harmony with nature, but in this regard, isn't that counter-productive?
#139
Jc, what I mean is that people might get furious at each other on the net, but since both are anonymous and often thousand of miles away they can not physically hurt each other. That is a Good Thing. [:)]
#140
What about eloquence? The English language can be made quite beautiful if you put some time and effort into it.
#141
Mongoose in plural is polygoose.

One thing that really bothers me is when people write in ALL CAPS. (Then the when pointed out, replied to with "sry didnt see") The little voice in my head is shouting when I read it, and eventually I get a headache.
Another thing is the broken punctuation, Return, Shift/Cpas Lock key. The entire message is one long sentence without any interruption, and as a result the little voice in my head suffocates! [:(!]

Oh, and I've got a license to screw this crud up since I'm not a native English speaker. [:D]

"mr Cornflakes", if I ever can figure out how you came up with that one...

Anyway, I'm not sure the esoteric doctrine has ever changed, since it is basically the Law of Cosmos.
#144
I didn't actually notice it until a while after I had posted it.

But I have to point out that given enough data something _will_ coincidence. So the question is, what other similarities are to be found between you and these numbers and what are their implications, meaning, and relation to one another?

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / How far can we go?
November 01, 2003, 15:02:53
I'm quite lost on the Path, but I decided I'm going to keep walking. I'll get there, eventually....
#146
Now it's my turn to disagree.

You can hold up esoteric wisedom in front of the face of the uninitiated and he will stare blankly at it, since he does not understand. It remains hidden even if it is in plain view.
One fo the cornerstones of Theosophy is something that is closely related to the anthropic principle, causa prima, the birth of cosmos, but since it requires understanding beyond simply knowing about it, it remains hidden for many. In my opinion it _should not_ be hidden due to the fact that it is so very fundamental to us and something everybody has a right to.
No, if it needs to be hidden by men it can be understood by anyone and just requires common sense to figure out. As such it wasn't hidden to begin with.

Determining the nature of power, which is essential to the topic.

I just had some very basic ideas stirred up in a conversation with an old friend. Not quite sure what to think at the moment, so I'll probably create a new topic tomorrow about it... =/
#148
Undrestadning lets you know, yes. Understanding can be extrapolated and applied to an array of neccissites (axioms) to provide you with knowing.

---

On a more personal note, if you feel the need to make fun of people then you have a very painful lesson indeed to learn. After you have learned it, then you will understand why not to do it.
Flaws in character are imperfections with greater consequences than one would assume.

Welcome to Magic! / Old Saints Day
November 01, 2003, 09:41:58
We are still celbrating All Saints day here, but I'm saddened to see that it is turning into a commercial gimmic like the the States. It started really a few years ago and has been building up. Little by little people are forgetting the tradition and bying into yet another bastardized caricature of a holiday. [V]

When people celebrate All Saints day here we visit our dearly departed, lighting candles on their graves and remembering them. You can pass by a grave yard, dosen't have to be that late in the day since it gets dark so early, and se thousands of small flames like the night sky had dropped to Earth.
With the current trend, the stars could fade and die.

The alternative is the Middle East, so rejoice! [:D]
