Hi everyone,
I have studied lucid dreaming and dreams (along with astral projection) for probably about 20 years. When I was a kid... My dreams were very vivid and lucid dreaming was alot easier.. Now that I am 31, Its almost impossible to remember my dreams most of the time. It is like I am not dreaming, even though I know I am.
Occasionally I wake up in the middle of the night and do my reality test which for me, is holding my nose tight and trying to breath in through it.. I discovered years ago that this method works well when i realized I could breath under water in my dreams. The wierd thing is, I wouldnt do this reality test if I were not having some sort of unsettling dream but I can never remember the dream even though I remember doing the reality check.
Occasionally I will remember a dream if I am woken up or something but they fade alot faster than they used to. I am the kind of person now that I cant afford to move around much if I wake up in the middle of the night to make a recording or write in a dream journal, or I will not be able to get back to sleep and I only sleep about 6 hours usually per night during the week which may be part of it.
Anyway, I just was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this type of thing and had any tips or remedies for it. I really want to be able to dream like I used to and am trying to get back into astral projection so i think lucid dreaming is a good first step. Another wierd thing is sometimes when I do remember a dream... It is dark and kind of twisted. Alot of times involving death and/or or ghosts.
I'm at a loss so any help with these matters would be great!
Thanks
Trea
