I think someone should do a study, if they haven't already, of how a child turns out if they only have members from one sex that they are close with. There are many heterosexual married couples whose children favor one parent over the other, or one leaves and the child ends up being raised by a single parent. I think the main thing to worry about is that the child must have at least one parental figure or role model that they are close with.

Exactly. Balance is needed, I am quite sure that when a man and a woman bring up a kid togeather, he/she will be normal, but two daddy's or two mummy's have a great potential two have a bad effect, specially in the early stages. That's rough psychology..

By the way, I like that question. Who says that charity is pure? Maybe helping an old lady across the street is much more "pure". I think there was something in Bible, that a beggar gave all he had, but he still gave more than a rich merchant who, in money, gave a fortune. So I think that giving away money after gaining a large amount of it  might be considered as a bribe: "Oh God, take this back, but DON'T TOUCH MY NEW FORTUNE, ARGHHH..." So, I think winning with lottery is not well explained to us. Maybe it actually has something to do with chance?

Salvete!

I am neutral.
BUT I don't think that gays and lesbies should get rights to help them and my reason is very simple. No matter what way universe was created, it WAS created, and man and woman were created. They were created with a reason. God(or whatever way you call the higher power) created man and woman. He could have created man and man/woman and woman, but didn't. So when you step against this simple man-woman connection, you step against the order of universe. There are always exceptions etc, people have to be allowed to be free and all that is right, but if this "giving rights" continues as it does at the moment, I think that the universal powers will get messed up and that will not mean anything good.

May shadows reach the light,

You're right. And by the way, that site is very helpful and not only because of the winning-story. I got some nice info about remote viewing from there, check that out too.

OK, I understood wrong. But still, why did christians then take over the name? If I would have made a lord of evil, I would not have taken over the name of a minor god, because then the fighting idea between good vs evil seems idiotic. And by the way when they took the name, they HAD to choose it. Why did they took Lucifer? Why not..Peter(just a samnple)? If you give someone's name to some one it MUST have some sort of connection? I doubt that someone said:
"Hey, let's take Lucifer!"
" Why?"
"Because...it sounds cool?!?"
#140
well whatever it was, if it didn't harm you then remember them, but don't be occupied with worrying, when they [}:)] will come again. But since they only wanted to scare you, let them be. Quite idiotic creatures by the way, what's they're point anyway then?

Here I agree with Eric g: some sort of karma exists since life is fair and somehow everything will be made to come back to you. Since the universe is governed by order there has to be karma.

Everything returns as before and everything that has happened before is happening now and will happen in the future. I'm not sure if I agree with the many lives part, although I do agree that there are souls that change bodies after the last body dies. Past has already happened, actually there is quite no difference since past and future are the same. They are the same, they are only painted with another color, but inside, they are the same. The "deja vu" is just too real and it's everywhere around us. But you have already lived through your past lives, for the future you have to still wait. The connection ought to be stronger when you have been through that time (I mean through the past)
Hope you understood what I meant[:)]

Welcome to Writers Corner! / Universal Language?
March 18, 2004, 08:47:59
The structure of latin is difficult, yes. But to make a new language...Why? We already have esperanto, don't we? And who speaks it? I'd prefer latin, but if the sound of latin doesn't way up it's colmplicated structure, then maybe one of tolkien's languages (Sindarin for example, where from my name is also taken) does? They sure sound even more cool than latin. Or what?

ahah, nice topic there. I think being arrogant is not good. Being a slave is just as bad as being the god to a woman. I think the "golden way" where there is enough of everything, but too nothing too much would be the best.

I think too that the copying part is understandable, that also means their is one sort of higher power, because they(different religions)have pretty much in common. I would call "GOd" as "higher power". It exists on a level, but we don't know so much about It that we can say something certain, now can we??
#147
ahah, I actually commented on the very first topic. I guess everyone has an understanding of magic, I meant. umm, sorry for the disturbments there[^] I'll try to learn and make a more "full of point" reply the next time[;)]

I think since magic is very much connected to universal powers, it can't be selfishly, but in the mean time  it gets really selfish sometimes. Magic used for selfish purposes is not as beautiful as that used for the sake of more than one person. A mage should be somewhat a leader more than a selfist egoist[:)]
