This past spring I had a good run of OBEs. In all there were 5 OBEs over a 2 month period. There were 3 in the month of March. Here is the first of these.

Out Of Body Experience # 68
"Unfamiliar City Flight"
Saturday, March 10, 2007

   This OBE began with very strong vibrations which lasted 5 minutes or more. Though I realized that an OBE was possible I had to make a determined effort to separate my astral/ethereal body from the physical body. After a prolonged and strenuous attempt I did rise directly up to float above the bed parallel to the ceiling. I looked down to try to see my physical body. Yet I saw only a plain white mattress - no blankets or sheets, no physical body, nothing else.
   After unsuccessfully trying to go through a small triangular window I realized that I was in another room adjacent to my bedroom. I then tried for 3 or 4 minutes to go through the bedroom window. This was quite difficult as I nearly got stuck. Finally I did get outside yet had no idea where this place was. It was definately Not the local neighborhood.
   I took a short 5 to 10 minute flight over an unfamiliar city. It was a slow flight for I went only 3 or 4 blocks over a major urban center. It was daylight outside. Perhaps this was somewhere in Europe because it was 3:00 - 3:30 AM EST in Pittsburgh. There were many people and vehicles below, in particular a red van caught my attention. This flight began at about 200 feet altitude and gradually I went lower until flying at only 10 - 20 feet, just above pedestrains on a city street. Suddenly I was floating inside a department store. That lasted only about a minute. Then I was back in my physical body feeling a distinct tightness in my chest.
   Notes. Vision was generally poor throughout this OBE. Time was between 3:00 and 3:30 AM. I lay on my right side. Duration was 15 to 30 minutes.
   Locale I and a Familiar Location. Other Person(s)/Being(s) who were People. Vibrations, Deliberate, Confused, Travel-teleportation, Flight, Floated, Meditation, Energy (pranayama).

Right, I just finished taking a perfunctory look at the projectcamelot website.

Some of the interviews are quite interesting, paricularly the interview with Robert Dean.

Yet some of their information seems contradictory. And the idea that the 'aliens' who crashed at Roswell in July 1947 were actually humans time travelling back from the future seems to me to be a bit too far 'out there'. Also the notion that there is an invisible brown dwarf star in the solar system coming closer to earth is a bit farfetched.

Could it be a case that the people of projectcamelot actually are on to something but have drawn the wrong conclusions from the facts???

Managed to do a long and deep meditation on Astral Pulse Island last night. Here are some visuals and impressions that I picked up --
- a loading dock or storage area of some kind.
- a young man in a uniform like a bellhop or waiter or usher.
- waves of extreme heat. The heat waves were really strong and had a lot of energy behind them.

Also I sensed some confusion about the location itself. This may be explained by the fact that I drew up my own plans for API that included a large library and a spacious park. Of course these were never included in the final 'construct' of API but maybe my subconscious was playing tricks on me.
In any event my hypnagogic state was at times very deep and the visuals were quite clear. Are any of these visuals familiar to anyone???

I like Kiwibonga's concepts and generally agree with them. The one comment that I need to make is this. There is a difference beween ideating (thinking) and creating (making.) IMHO too much importance is put on simply 'thinking' about something while out of body. Yes it is possible to think thought forms into being. But that really is not creating anything that is lasting or important.
In my 'model' there are 10 separate and distinct "states of consciousness". they are -
sleep without dreams,
sleep with dreams,
false awakenings,
normal 'everyday waking' consciousness,
hypnangogia (includes meditation, trance and psi),
lucidity,
psychedelia,
out of body,
magickal
and Nirvana/Godhead/Samadhi.

The ability to correctly perceive reality increases with each successive state of consciousness. In effect each state of consciusness transcends those before and, in turn, is transcended by those 'above' it. The best visual I can offer is concentric globes inside each other. Of course that is a 3 dimensional visualization of a 4 + dimensional concept, but trust that you get the idea.

"Branch Mal Projection"

   This OBE began with a dream. Although I am unsure of the details I am certain that the projection took place directly from the dream. Once out of body I immediately tried to go outside through a small triangular window. The first attempt failed yet the second try was successful.
   Once outside of the house I had a clear view of the area including the large hill of Stanton Heights. I was having difficulty controlling some very powerful emotions which would have prematurely ended this OBE. I felt a need to take action. I decided to try to fly and took off the roof over the back yard. The large trees were very formidable obstacles. For some reason I was unable to go over these trees. Then, either because of misperceptions or an error in judgement, I thought that there was a lot of room to maneuver in flight.
   Actually there was hardly any space between the trees and the 2 garages on either side. I tried to fly low underneath the lowest branches. In fact the lowest branches almost touched the ground. After weaving about in the air for a minute or so I was nearly forced to land to avoid those tree branches. This ended the projection. Total time of this OBE was 5 minutes.
   Notes. Locale I and a Familiar Location. Confused, Dream>>>OBE, Flight, Meditation.

I'll check some of this out and get back with a comment or opinion.

I've tried meditating on API surrounded by a huge swirling energy vortex (portal/stargate). Unfortunately I have yet to astral project or RTZ OBE to the island.
A couple of times I did have some interesting visuals while meditating-- like a large opening in one side of the pyramid about 2/3 of the way up.

BTW where do you consider Astral Pulse Island to be located?
Is this a Belief System Territory (albeit a very small one)?

Regarding the mystical or magickal explanation for OBEs -

A person can induce and experience an OBE without resorting to mystical or magickal means.

On the other hand the greatest mystcis and magicians down through history have claimed that magickal consciousness and occult knowledge can greatly further the practice of astral projection.

75 to 100 years ago the mystical explanation was popular.

Right now the scientific ( ie. Quantum mechanics >>> entanglement) explanation is the most acceptable.

Maybe in 10 to 25 years that too will change.

The point is that both the magickal and scientific explantions for OBEs have validity.
Both Can work. Much depends on the subjective viewpoint, social background and experience level of the individual.

As part of the survey of OBE internet reports that I posted here last year I examined reports of aliens contacts and alien abductions. Most of those reports can be found on the website www.UFOinfo.com
(Go to the research section and click on Humanoid Sightings. These are reports of encounters with aliens and various cryptozoological creatures. The reports go back decades and were compiled by Albert Rosales.)
Anyway, there are dozens of reports of alien abductions where the person being abducted claimed to be out of body at the time. In addition there were many reports of people claiming to be half-asleep, hypnagogic or in a trance-like state either shortly before, or during, their alien abduction. So there IS a definite link between OBEs and at least Some alien abductions.
That being said it is also true that OBEs in no way account for all the reports of alien abductions. For example somebody claiming to have been abducted while driving home from work one night would certainly not have been out of body while driving.

Hallo everyone. It has been quite a while since my last post.

Anyways, for what it is worth --- various internet sites (www.beyond-the-illusion.com is one of them) have reported that an alien race of reptillian or reptillian-humanoids either have in the past or are currently trying to enter Heaven through a stargate called the Eternity Gate. This Eternity Gate is supposedly located somewhere in space out in the Orion Nebula (or Orion starcluster).
I don'y know much about this except what was posted on the website(s).

I'll do a google on this and post back.

[Part 2 The Superphysical Locations]

Part 2  The Superphysical Locations

I have basically followed the Robert Monroe method of describing the superphysical locations. Monroe termed these locations as "Locales" and assigned a number I, II, or III (the Roman numerals for 1, 2 or 3) to each. I have added Locale IV (4) to include dimensions higher than the fourth dimension.
The number of OBE accounts that reported a particular Locale are given first and there follows a short description of that Locale. (For a better description see Bruce Moen www.Afterlife-Knowledge.com >>> "A VOYAGE TO KNOWLEDGE OF THE AFTERLIFE".)
   This survey includes 50,347 OBEs (and NDEs) .
   Locale I  45,028 (89.4%) Locale I is the fourth dimension (or higher superphysical plane) to this world and this universe. All Locale I areas have a 3 dimensional physical counterpart. Monroe called Locale I the "Here / Now". Robert Bruce has termed Locale I the "Real Time Zone" (RTZ).
   Belief System Territories (I-BST)  3,004 (5.9%) A Belief System Territory (BST) is a special superphysical location of this universe that does Not have a physical counterpart. A BST is usually created and inhabited by discarnates (deceased persons) who share very similar ideological, sociological or religious points of view. (Note –this is equivalent to Monroe's Focus 23 and Focus 25.) Includes at least 479 Ethereal BSTs and 820 Astral BSTs.
   Locale 27 (or I-27)  862  (1.7 %) A Monroe Focus 27. A special region of Locale I that is a nexus or connecting point to another region of Locale I. Or it is a connection to a Locale II or to a Locale III or to a Locale IV. Locale 27s have variously been described as a 'park, a 'garden', a 'beautiful' countryside of 'rolling hills' and/or as a 'reception center'.
   Locale I*  149  (0.2%) An alternate timeline in this universe (Locale I). An alternate timeline is often called an alternate or parallel universe. An alternate timeline is a parallel Earth with a different history. Two examples of this are – a history where the United States never entered World War II and a history where a powerful pre-Columbus American Indian empire traded with Europe.
   Locale II  120  (%)  Another universe where time either has no meaning or else is radically different from this universe. In this survey the majority of Locale IIs are described in religious terms (Heaven and Hell). Monroe did not describe Locale II as a religious universe. Yet many people who have had NDEs have described Heaven and Hell as timeless. So the idea of Locale II as a 'religious' universe does seem to be appropriate.
   Locale III  44   A different cosmic universe (having 4 space-time dimensions) than either this universe (locale I) or any Locale II (timeless) universe. A Locale III universe has completely different physics and metaphysics. Most Locale III universes are lifeless voids. Yet a few are inhabited by both incarnate and discarnate beings.
   Locale IV  300  Locale IV is any dimension higher than the 4th dimension. (Includes Mental plane 4, Soul plane 5, Astral plane 6.)
   Unsure  77  (0.7%) An uncertainty of between 2 or 3 Locales. For example the location described could be either a Locale I-BST or Locale I-27.
Unknown  23 (0.2%) The description was too vague to even guess the Locale.
   Familiar Location  46,387  (92.1%) A location familiar to the person during their OBE. Familiar locations are usually inside the person's house or apartment (Locale I).

Part 1 – Introduction

This report is a summary of 50,347 Out of Body Experiences. Most of these accounts were posted on various websites on the internet. The information from these accounts are organized in four sections.
  The first section (Part 2) is location. These are the superphysical places that were reported or described during the out of body experience (OBE).
  The second section (Part 3) is familiar physical or discarnate person(s) who were encountered or seen during the OBE.
  The third section (Part 4) is any unfamiliar persons or beings that were encountered or seen during an OBE.
  The fourth section (Part 5 through Part 7 and Miscellaneous Notes are the notes describing both the frequency and the type of various phenomena reported by people while they were out of body (OOB).
This is an appropriate point to comment on the veracity of these OBE accounts. Certainly not all of the OBE (or NDE) reports are accurate. Some accounts of OBEs are undoubtedly faulty, a result of misperceptions or confusion or distorted senses. A few other reports are frauds and hoaxes (usually adolescents posting false reports on the internet to impress other adolescents). This caveat being noted I strongly believe that the vast majority of these OBE accounts are true and valid.

There is a member in that grouyp that is blind and yet can see quite clearly during both his OBEs and dreams! If you go to that website you will find that he is the most frequent poster of the website and his initials are J K.

I understand why Adrian and the AP mods would Not want to do the survey through this website. I proposed doing the survey this way because I have limited access to the internet. Currently I am unable to maintain any website of my own because the computer that I use is quite obsolete. (The recent update of the Astral Pulse website has forced me to go to library in order to post topics and replies to this site.)
I understand if Astral Pulse declines this proposal. Not a big deal It's just that there would be a much better response by doing the survey directly thru Astral Pulse.

I was unsure where to post this so this forum was my best guess.

For some time I have been considering conducting an email questionnaire survey of OBEs. I have drawn up a ten question survey that could be sent out via email. Then it occured to me that perhaps it would be possible to have Astral Pulse send out the survey by email (and/or PM) to some or all of the Astral Pulse members? Those people who respond to the questionaire could return it directly to Astral Pulse and the results could be shown on this website.
Is this possible? Would it be feasible for Astral Pulse to conduct an email survey? This website could reach many more people than I could by myself.. Originallly I hoped to send out a maximum of between 1000 and 2000 email questionnaires. Yet there are over 10,000 AP members. So a survey done through this website would have a much greater potential.
Any thoughts or ideas are welcome. If additional information is required then I can provide it, including, of course, the 10 question survey that would be sent out.
