(will be going on rant now...)

Oh man. I totally forgot!

The other day I was doing a little meditation. I tried to change things up by using ear plugs. After awhile, I heard this wind noise. I'm thinking OK, maybe its coming from outside and I can hear it.  But hello, I had earplugs on. Then I started hearing just plain out weird noises, although I think it was coming from my body? lol. To be specific, from my brain.

But wow. I cant believe i forgot about that one.
Actually, I cant believe I got scared.

Cardio -About that whistling noise - I have no idea what causes us to hear it.

Covelo - I know exactly what your talking about. A lot of times when I'm practicing, I'll just focus on the blackness and that noise will suddenly be a lot louder.

Whoops. Forgot something AGAIN.

A couple weeks ago, middle of the night, I woke up and went back to sleep. I had the vibrations. Only thing is, the vibrations would become stronger only when I would breath shallowly (my body was definitely awake at the time). Accompanying the vibrations was this high pitched noise (was that the whistling sound your talking about, cardio? -it sounded like a tea kettle was going off). So, the less I breathed in- the more I vibrated and the louder that sound was.

Strange.

If anyone's read muldoon's book: projection of the astral body, i think he mentions something about oxygen. Then again, maybe not.

Anyway, why would the sound & the vibrations become increasingly prominent the less I (consciously) breathed??

It totally took me by suprise. I've never seen snow falling in front of my own window. Too bad it wasn't christmas.

Runlola- For some reason, I've always thought you lived up north...

El-Bortukali: it snowed in Las Vegas. I put it as the description.

Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Drugs...
February 19, 2006, 23:41:34
To be honest with you I just had a horrible trip last night. Finally I've realized what a waste of time drugs are. Theyre really not worth the damage they do to your body. If you want to find the answers to life's toughest questions, I suggest you take the time to do it on your own - without the props (drugs). A little meditation a day goes a long way. (heh that rhymed)

It's much more satisfying, at least to me, when I have a "meaningful experience" completely sober vs. having the aid of drugs at my side. A year ago I was stupid enough to think that what I was doing would help me on my "spiritual quest". What a load of crap!! As far as drugs being helpful to projecting, I think that's just ridiculous. Sure, maybe they give you a little nudge here and there but in the end THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS.

Well. Theres my two cents. Take care.

from what i've read,  you seem to be a nice fello.

but why woud you want to change according to other peoples opinion of you. in my opinion, the only person who knows you most - is you - and it is only you who can decide what your true stregnths and weaknesses are.

(okay maybe not totally john petrucci but somewhat close)

but Sil3nt, is that you?
#168
lol, dea.   Part of the reason I put that on here was simply to make my day. Every time i think about it - i just have to chuckle. Other reason is beacause one time i really did get diarrhea after recieving reiki. although it went away in a day, it wasn't all that pleasant.

Your right about the dreams being different for everyone. I guess it wouldn't make sense then. I'll just come up with some stuff for my own personal use.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Nearly there
February 13, 2006, 17:47:43
Next time, try letting the experience happen without trying too hard with techniques. I mean, techniques are great and all but sometimes you just got to take a step back from the situation and just let it happen on it's own.

and what do you mean in your question 2, can you elaborate/rephrase?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Chanting...
February 11, 2006, 15:08:24
Yeah, I think it works. When I desperately wanted to OB, I would affirm in my mind that I would become conscious while I was dreaming and go out of body. I said this to myself until I fell asleep. One day, it worked. I became lucid in my dream and BAM! From then on, it worked 80% of the time.

I think you should continue with what your doing and if it works, stick with it. Don't forget to write down your experiences, no matter how insignificant they may be to you (even if you didn't go "out of body").
