KP, what you experienced was a rush or surge of Kundalini that you were unprepared to deal with. Your descrptions of the pain of blocked chakras and sudden intense heat argree with descriptions by other people.
This is one reason why many Indian yogis and swamis caution patience when practicing yoga. It also explains why so many easterners believed that most westerners were not ready to learn the secrets of yoga. I am not attempting to scare or discourage you. Meditation on cleansing and clearing the 7 major chakras is a Very Important step in controlling kundalini. It is for this reason that most experts agree that a slow and steady approach is most effective.

The concept of Superconsciousness makes sense to me.
The brain is the 3 dimensional sense organ. The mind/soul/higher consciousness is 4 dimensional (or higher). The brain is not refined/sensitive enough to detect the mind/soul/consciousness of someone who is out of body.
Which explains why your friend did not physically react to your presence and yet Did acknowledge your presence with his own mind/soul/consciousness.
Seems simple to me though other people hold different opinions about this..

Hi X_Wolf [:)]
That was probably a projection. Those visuals and a familiar location are consistently reported by people who have their frist projection. Don't think that it was a dream. Possible yet quite unlikely. The only other possibility would be a false awakening - a dream where a person thinks that they are awake. As terrance said - you are the best judge of what happened.

It sounds that you had a partial projection where your astral/ethereal body moved out of alignmnet with your physical body. Something very similar to that happened to me a few years ago. I was practicing a projection technique included in a book by D Scott Rogo. It was called 'Vortex Exit' and the idea was to spin the astral/ethereal body around inside the physical body. Of course it is a mental exercise. It did work to a degree but I became so dizzy that I had to stop before getting completely out of body. [:)]

Sure, I'll participate in a Week 3 experiment. So far I've had no great success. Just a few wierd, dimly remembered dreams and one lucid dream. That might be a positive sign though because wierd dreams sometimes are a prelude to an OBE??[?]

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / DMT
May 20, 2003, 17:47:59
DMT is a Very powerful psychoactive substance and it Can help a person to project. The biggest problem that most people encounter in that regards is control. Most people who do project after consuming DMT (whether in liquid form or smoked) have projections unwittingly and have no control over what takes place.
It seems that Only South American shamans who have many years experience with Ayahuasca can control their projections. Whether they achieve control just by experience or have additional methods to master the DMT-induced OBE remains mostly a mystery.

Yes I know what you mean. It could be because the mind/consciousness becomes better acquainted and familiar with the astral realm after a few experiences. That results in clearer perceptions and fewer distortions. Experienced projectors are also better at remaining calm and relaxed.

Hi Vojn Svetla Gorskog. [:)]
Thank you for your thoughts on this matter. Your post was well written and thought out.
The idea of a non-physical 'army' is a result of people wanting to prevent negative discarnate entities causing mental and emotional harm to other people. I think that it is a decent idea. A much more debatable question is whether it is possible to 'police' a non-physical reality. [?]

Hi all. [:)]
This Pyramids meeting on Saturday night Is a good idea. I'm getting a strong vibe that Somebody will make it there this week.
Anyway I'm practicing both yoga and pranayama (breath control) again on a regular basis. Maybe this will help to promote or induce a projection. Hope to 'see' y'all soon.

Ambient music, trance or Space music (especially Hearts of Space). All of that music can be used for meditation and energy work.
Natural sounds and celtic music, particularly Enya, are also some of my favorites. [:)]

Thanx for those replies. You are most probably correct Jilola as it would make sense that a physical medical condition (brought on by yoga and kundalini) caused a (temporary) problem.
Yes caution Is warrented when dealing with powerful energies.[:)]

Fair question.
My OBEs usually come in a series, sometimes 2 or more on a single night. Then follows a long period of inactivity. Don't know why that is. One reason is that I do not meditate or practice projection induction often enough.

Here is a complete description of the experience.
Yesterday during a session of Hatha yoga (physical yoga of poses and postures) I was practicing a position called the Stomach Lock. During the first repitition of this pose I was suddenly and unexpectedly hit by a huge Wave of Energy.  This must have been Kundalini energy. The rush of kundalini was so violent that it physically pushed me backwards towards a wall causing me to lose my balance and fall.
It felt alot like coming inside on a freezing winter day when the temperature is 0 degrees and going into a steamy hot room  It was simply overpowering.
This has happened to me before on 2 or 3 occasions though it has not happened for several years. Ironically just the day before I posted a message on another website stating that I am now very careful Not to cause an overload of kundalini energy.
I have read similar reports of kundalini 'attacks' in books. Has anyone here had a similar experience

The theory of a Holographic Universe (energy Matrix) will have many Profound effects on science and general society in the long term. Materialization is such an effect. Experiments have already been successfully carried out by teleporting a laser beam a few meters distance. [:(]
Short term effects of the Holographic Universe probably include energy manipulation (like psi balls and chakra cleansing) and psychic healing abilities.

On April 12 I had a dream about very powerful Tornados hitting the midwest. It is not the first time I have had a glimpse of the future in a dream. (Last year I had a precognitive dream about the severe Texas floods.) BTW Those precog dreams were not posted in Astral Pulse because there is no separate dream or precognition forums here.
The important point is that dreams are the most common means of seeing the future. Many people do have precognitive dreams yet very few realize it. This is usually because the events foreseen are minor, everyday incidents and so go unnoticed. Only dramatic events like natural disasters and plane crashes get noticed. Another good reason to keep a dream journal. [:)]

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Time dilation

Medical and scientific studies have shown that the human Central Nervous System (CNS) is responsible for regulating our perception of time. Certain foods (nutmeg), drugs (LSD) and meditation techiques (sensory deprivation) alter that perception of time (sometimes dramatically). Conscious and deliberate intent can also alter perception of time to a limited degree.
Though I have yet to read any reports of a relationship between out of body experiences and time there can be no doubt that time perception in the ethereal plane, and especially in an astral plane, is MUCH different then here in the physical world. [:O]

Yeah, albailey is right about a number of things. Particulary right about (most) negative entities being dumb and feeding off fear.
Though it might be difficult it is important to project an 'aura' of confidence when confronted by malicious beings. An 'aura' of confidence is effective in the physical world and yet is even more effective in any dream, astral, ethereal or spirit realm. Good Luck

Frank -
I agree with christuone and Gandalf. Your adventures in different timelines sounds interesting. Perhaps you would be so kind as to share one of those experiences with us. [:)]
The idea of discovering the great abilities and character of a higher self through an experience in another time line Does make sense. An experience in another time line (or alternate universe) should be both vaguely familiar and reassuring to the person projecting while still being essentially new and 'different'. [8D]
Without going into great detail or being dogmatic I subscribe to the concept of a 4 dimensional universal energy Matrix. In the Matrix it is Consciousness that largely decides what is real and what the person experiences. Your experiences theoretically confirm the hypothesis that it is at least theoretically possible for very skilled (at projection) individuals (like yourself) to deliberately choose their own preferred reality (by choosing which timeline to inhabit).
BTW I believe that in due time (pun intended) the Holographic Universal Matrix Theory will gain widespread scientific acceptance.

Perhaps you are an intermediate Cryo_Optics. You have experienced many projections yet do not deliberately project once a week. Anyway don't worry too much about a classification as it is not a necessity.
Two unusual occurences for me today (Thurs). First I had a lucid dream of flying during an afternoon nap (perhaps an unconscious projection[?]).
Then I had a violent overload/attack of kundalini energy during a yoga session. So it's been a pretty wierd day![:O]
#1621
That is somewhat odd lateralus897. What is even odder is that today I experienced a very sudden and sharp overload/attack of kundalini energy. It was certainly kundalini because the incident took place while I was practicing a difficult asana in Hatha yoga. The force of the attack was so strong and swift that it nearly knocked me off my feet (honestly it was momentarily overwhelming). [B)][?]
Kundalini Could account for your incident as well, especially if you practice any form of yoga or breathing exercise.

Here is a helpful suggestion for all of us projectors who have not yet reached the Expert level. (I have had many OBEs but cannot project anywhere near once a week.)
To help keep track of development divide the projection 'Process' into 4 separate steps.
Step 1. The Pre-projection state. Includes, but is not limited to - meditation, trance, vibrations, sleep paralysis, whirring or roaring noises and closed eyed visuals.
Step 2. Near projection. Part of the astral-ethereal (subtle) body moves on its own or shows other signs of activity.
Step 3. Partial projection. Part, but not all, of the astral-ethereal (subtle) body separates from the physical body.
Step 4. Full Projection - OBE. The full enchilada. The big Kahuna. A full-blown OBE complete with floating, seeing the physical body, flying, passing through material objects, etc, etc.
Note that a projection could last only a few seconds And yet be a full blown OBE. [:)]
#1623
I agree with Fyrenze and Terry B but only to a point.
Some projectors encounter a darkness which is the result of their perceptions being distorted on the ethereal or astral plane.
However there is also a separate region , perhaps a separate astral or ethereal plane, that is called the Void. It is my belief that the Void is a place totally devoid of beings. Monroe mentioned this Void on one or two occasiojns in his first book. The Void is not inherently dangerous but it can be disconcerting to inexperienced projectors.[8)][:(][?]

Actually the whole concept is an excellant idea. [:)]
Amazing how many people picked up on the idea of portals or gates. That's what caught my attention as well. One suggestion is to either have large raised classic arches as gates or make them high-tech (like those found in 'Stargate'). [8D]
Perhaps some sort of large garden or Maze might work (for part of the location anyway). The idea of lush and exotic vegetation does sound quite appealing.
BTW several people at Astral Society tried this concept a while back. They created an Astral Temple though I don't know how well their experiment worked.

There are over 300 Billion stars in our Milky Way galaxy. Even by conservative estimates there are probably at least approximately one Billion Earth-size worlds that may be capable of sustaining life. So Okay, maybe you are a pessimist and don't think that there is any other technological civilisation in the galaxy.
There are more galaxies than there are stars in the Milky Way. The mathematical odds of life existing elewhere in the Universe are Overwhelmingly in favor of life existing.[:)]
