Sounds like "the devil made me do it" kind of logic. If a "neg" can influence your sexual habits then maybe they influence all of our actions. Maybe we are not really responsible for anything we do. Maybe someone's negativity of themself or of views can influence sexual preference, but in all honesty what does it matter?

I just wanted to make clear that I was not making any judgements or trying to be harsh in my last post. Just wanted people to think. I hope I did not upset anyone.

People are TOO materialistic. Jesus taught against materialism. I do not see how for one the grail would have survived this long, though possible, and what use it could possibly have. For another thing, how can one prove that it was THE GRAIL. It is not like they documented it or something. I think Jesus and the diciples had other things on their minds at the time. But if someone needs a cup to believe in something beyond the physical then I guess to each his own.

Interesting topic. Let me start out with the smaller ones first. Looking at Star Trek, though I have not seen many of the original series. In a few I have seen they seem to have a belief in something as they make references to a god and express a belief in such. In Next Generation they seem to usually avoid the subject, for humans anyway. Most of the other races seem to be rather religious to some extent. Something that I do find odd though is that a highly developed civilation would give little thought to any kind of spiritual development or afterlife, especially with all their knowledge of metaphysics. But I guess it is just a tv show. I think it does bring up one question, What would happen if aliens visited Earth openly and peacefully? Would we all throw away our differences and unite in peace for the betterment of mankind? It is a nice thought.

1984 is a really good book. I read it in high school and it really opened my eyes to things. I do not know if things would ever be so open about how it is run, but it is scary that something like it could occur. I do not know how possible it is that a government could monitor every single person. There just seems to be too many people right now. But if something should happen to reduce the population by a lot then who knows. Does this book have a happy ending? ***Warning Spoiler For The Book*** This is something that I have discussed and surprisingly someone suggested that it does. Looking at it as a rights issue it is rather bleak, but from a personal stand point is can. The guy was always in a conflict between what was clearly happening and his moral, desire for freedom side. This caused unhappiness and a feeling of being left out of the group. In the end he was happy because he no longer had the conflict, he finally fit in. Though that is not something that is very positive to us, being crushed and beaten into submission. Interesting view I thought. I have never read Atlas Shrugged, but with a happy ending I think it would be less realistic. 1984 seems very possible and realistic. He was just one man. When one man goes against a large government who is going to win? ***End of Spoiling***

One World Government seems more and more possible every day. But at the same time it does not. The world is more united now that it ever has been. There is a lot of peace between much of the world, though the violence is what makes the news. At the same time there is much division over certain areas, still the same old crap, Islam, Christians and Jews. Though it is not really the average people in these groups, but the extremists. Still there are many nations that seem to embrace religion and the idea that different is not good. How would such nations unite into one nation? This also brings up an interesting area that I do not think was mentioned in the original post. What about religion? If there was OWG what would its stand on religion be? If it came into being gradually it would most likely have to accept all. But if it came into being with violence, it seems it would rule with force and thus enforcing whatever it wished, if any. But people with strong beliefs do not readily give them up. So maybe that is part of the reason for alien invaders as well. For the average, unquestioning religious person I think they do not think there could be other inteligent life and a God, for humans are his greatest creation right? The aliens would throw a wrench into their beliefs making them very confused, then a group steps forward with "all the answers".

I do like Tom's view of this OWG. It is something I have thought about. How it would be really nice if we all were united and living in peace. If we all worked for the betterment of man and overlooked our differences. Not looking to be ruled by a few, but giving man his freedom to develop and think for himself. But knowing humans I do not think this is possible. People clear wish to be ruled, just look at our history. Even in the old testament the Jews could have lived in freedom but they wanted a human king to rule them. It seems like that is what the US wants too as people keep wanting new laws to govern how we live, what we can and cannot do, what we can watch. People in general are lazy and would rather be told what to do. I do not know if this will ever change. If it does not then a OWG seems very possible. But governments come and go, just like everything else.

Something interesting just happened and I thought I would share. I was sitting down just looking at my hand. This energy that I usually see looked different today. It looked like a dark blue color, usually it is clear, white, or greenish. Anyway I was looking at my finger and suddenly it flared up for about 3-5 seconds. It was a very distinct, very bright baby blue color. This is the first time this has happened and it surprised me, especially since I was not trying too hard to see anything, just casually looking at my hand. So is this what we are suppose to see when we see auras? Bright distinct colors?

You said to look for things like a door bell ringing. Well I do not have a door bell but this does deal with the door. I will hear a noise that sounds like the front door is opening. The front door has a unique sound when it opens and closes as it has this metal seal. Not sure how to describe it, there are these pieces of metal that stick up at an angle from the frame. When the door closes it pushes this metal down making a metalic popping sound. It makes this sound when it opens as well. I usually only hear this sound at night when I am getting ready to go to bed. I have always figured it was just house settling noises, but for the life of me I have not been able to figure out how it is making this sound. I have tried pushing and pulling on the door when it is closed and it will not make the sound. The only time I have been able to make the sound is when it is opening and closing. Well this weekend I woke up in the middle of the night to hear this sound, only it could not have been the house settling as it did it several times as if the front door was being opened and closed two to four times. Usually this only happens for a second quickly like house settling sounds. At first I thought it was just a noise but it kept it up so I thought someone might be trying to get into the house. I got up and checked it out, the door was shut and the chain on it was secure. Here is the thing. The door knob is broken so that you cannot open the door from the outside. I am not sure if it was some kind of spirit or what, but it was an odd occurance none the less.

There was something else that happened but I have to check on some things as I think it has a reasonable explanation.

Congratulations. Are you getting married soon? I would advise caution in rushing into things too quickly. I am not sure how well you know this man besides of this bonding that you have been doing. But let me remind you of Tisha's words "As for astral lovers . . . if you try to turn your relationship into an earthly marriage, you may be in for some major disappointment. Astral love is free and unfettered. Human relationships are messy and full of obstacles. It's like dreaming of flying, and then deciding to jump off your roof after you wake up. SPLAT!" Just be aware that there will be obstacles. You can also have a spiritual bond with someone and still not get along with them very well to have a good marriage.

I wonder how many people go into marriage with the same ideas as you Clarissa, but when things get hard it ends up like this man of yours. Not to pick on you and I truly hope you have a wonder marriage with this man. I am just saying I wonder if this man and his soon to be ex thought the same things when they got married. It just seems to me that marriage is actually meaningless now. I mean so many people get marriaged and then divorced. It is like the words, the vow, means nothing. To me if you are making the vow to be with someone for the rest of your life then you should stick to your word. Of coarse I understand that excrement happens and nothing is going to be all roses. It seems like the marriage vows should be changed to "I promise these things as long as it is convienent for me and as long as I remain happy."

'Love is blind", or how I like to put it Love is blinding. Be careful and do not go into this blind, Clarissa. Trying having a relationship with this man on the physical plane for awhile.

Qball, No one is trying to make you believe what we believe. We are only trying to discuss this but you seem too close minded and guard your own beliefs too much to be open to discussion. I wonder why you posted this if you did not want to discuss the issue. It sounds like you are the one who is trying to make others bend to your beliefs since you continually say that you do not care what we think or say and suggest that your ideas are the only truth. I strongly suggest that you open your mind up, not saying that you have to believe what we say only that you should consider new ideas. Also the astral can be rather misleading and unless you actually seek the truth. Your own thoughts and beliefs can shape a very realistic reality. I am not saying that what you have experienced is only an illusion, but you should be aware of what the astral is like. If you go seeking "demons" on the astral, I guarantee you will find them.

I have been thinking about the whole metaphysical things being wrong in god's eyes Christain view. I think that if your friend is having trouble tell her this. Seeing auras, projection, and all such abilities are just like anything else we do. We can walk, talk, think, swim, paint, etc. This are not bad are they? Seeing auras is just something else we can do. If they were wrong then we could not do it. The wrong, if one must believe in a god believing something is wrong, comes from how we use it, not what we use. We all can use a knife, a knife is not bad. But how we use it can be. It is great for cutting our food to eat, etc. But it can be bad when used to kill.

I agree, balance is very important. I am not sure why people feel the need to suppress parts of who they are, especially sex. To make sex seem like something that is bad or unimportant is extremely harmful in my opinion. Sex plays a major part of our lives. Maybe this separation of spirituality and sex is why so many people seem to find their sex and love lives either unimportant or unfullfiled. When I brought the two together I finally felt complete. Learning about Taoism has really helped. Now if I could only find someone who shares my views.

Really I do not see student loans so much as debt as I do as an investment. Just think what those thousands of dollars are actually allowing you to earn. You invest 15,000 or whatever in whatever currancy you use over several years time. Then you get out of school, hopefully find a good job, and you make that or more back within the first year. That is a pretty good investment if you ask me. Now if you could just learn not to get into credit card debt, which I think is about the worst debt there is other than maybe with a loan shark. Seems terribly hard to get rid of that stupid credit card balance.

Strict, rigid beliefs can be harmful to spiritual growth. Likewise you would not want to take every experience you have as absolute truth. I find it is best to question everything and seek for the truth yourself.

If you choose a shade of red that you dislike then you will get negs, negative thoughts about how you dislike the color. If you choose a shade of red you like then you will most likely not get any negs and be happy. I am one that believes negs are for the most part are thoughts and emotions that we see as negative. So if you do not want any "negs" choose things that you like and makes you happy.

I also agree very much with Tom. Just because something is lower does not mean it is negative or evil. Everything needs a base or foundation.

I have also seen this white/green fuzz around my hand. Either this is a  common illusion or we are seeing auras, though I am not sure as I have just started this. I like how TamiaStar puts it, it looks like energy. I do not know how to describe it any better. Fuzz just is not quite right.

I am sort of like you, Jeff. Not that I have always seen auras, but in that I seem to be able to see something, but I am not sure if it is auras or just my eyes playing tricks. Actually I think I could do this when I was much younger, but it does not really matter now I guess. I read the article on Astral Pulse about seeing auras one day at work a few weeks ago. I then started looking at my hand. After a while of looking I noticed a whitish/green fuzz outlining my hand. It is hard to see as it is very light and if I try to look at the fuzz it seems to go away, but if I look at my hand it is back. I am not sure if I am seeing anything or it is an illusion. Sometimes if I try I can see this on other people, but I do not usually see any colors other than white, green, or blue. Because of just seeing these colors I wonder it is not an illusion. Of coarse I have not tried looking at many people so you could say my research is not very good at present.

I do not think I would want to banish any spirit if that is what this is, atleast not yet. I mean, to me it seems kind of rude and mean to just throw a spirit out if it is not bothering you. I have not felt that this has any ill feelings towards me, and just because I have only seen a dark thing I have not assumed it to be negative or evil or anything like that. If I wanted to communicate with this, how would I do that? Should I just try projecting or are there other ways?

You brought up something that I have thought a little about. Is sleeping something that we learn to do and not just something that happens naturally? Clearly if you are exhausted your body will go to sleep. But what about at night when we lay down. What we do to go to sleep, is that something we have learned to do so that we can go sleep? I just wonder because I have a daughter that is almost 9 months old. Sometimes it just seems like she does not know how to fall asleep, or maybe she just does not want to. Just something I have wondered.

I go through dry spells too. It usually helps if you do not stick with just one technique. Practice several. When one does not work try another, try a combination of them, experiment. Then sometimes there are times when I just cannot project. But there is usually a reason, like I am too excited about something else or something is just on my mind. Taking a break for a few days and not doing anything related to projecting can help too. As to why this happens I am not sure. It might have something to do with how we are thinking about it. Like maybe it is becoming too routine to were you are not actually doing it right. I am not really sure, but use it as I time to take a break or experiment with new things.

I did not mean that I totally disagree with you. People can be physical lovers and never get along to have a relationship. So should we expect anything different from astral lovers? I just ment that the relationship does not have to be totally disappointing. But it will if they do expect it to be the same as it is on the astral.

1) This is a difficult question to answer. It is hard to explain unless you have experienced it for yourself. It is intesne and in your face. It can look like anything, sometimes things you cannot even imagine. Your emotions play a big role. They can be very overwelming so you need to learn to control them. I think it feels more real than the physical, if that makes sense to you.

2) I cannot really answer this as I have not read his book. Plan on reading Astral Dynamics when I get a chance. I can say that I have not experienced anything negative as I have heard Robert has experienced.

Frank, I think this "additional element" is really their misunderstanding of the astral and what is happening. As you have posted so many times, it is very easy to get caught up in your emotions on the astral. I think many people believe there is evil, just like many believe there is a god, angels, etc. When they encounter something they do not understand they assume it is negative and must be evil. Their feelings and beliefs give this thing power and shape it to be the evil they are believing it to be. Since they then believe they have seen something evil, they assume that it is true that evil entities exist. They allow the experience to reinforce their beliefs instead of actually exploring what it could possibly be.

I will admit it could be possible that there might be these "lost souls" who persue a darker course on the astral. I do not think that such entities would be very powerful or in large numbers. I think that if someone does meet such entities they allow their fears and beliefs to give the illusion that these entities are more powerful than they are. These entities would most likely seek out these people because they would want others to see them as being powerful. Those that stand up to them and see through their illusion would be less desirable to seek out for they would not fulfill the purpose these entities would be seeking.

Tisha, I pretty much agree with you. Except when you say astral lovers may be disappointed. This is true depending on what they are expecting. But I think this contradicts what you have mentioned above. Assuming that the astral lovers have connected in a spiritual way then would they not have a good relationship like the one you talked about needed above, just that they are kind of working backwards. Instead of meeting someone, having a relationship with them, slowly getting to know them, then start connecting spiritually, they start more spiritual and work the other way. Of coarse you are very much right in that when the physical relation occurs it will be more limited than what they are use to, but they will already have a strong spiritual and emotional connection.

I am a man and I rarely have dreams about sex. Sometimes I wish I did have more sexual dreams, as I think it would be fun and a good learning experience to explore my sexuality in such a manner. Maybe I do dream about sex and just do not remember, if so what a rip off!! LOL

I moved into this place around the middle of April this year. I have lived with this person for about 3 years. I have had no trouble from this "shadow". The only "contact" I have had with this thing, if it is anything, as been what I have said here. I have never felt anything bad or negative when this has occured. I have not had a chance to project since I have lived in this place, so I have not explored it on the astral, though usually when I project I am not in the place my physical body is in.

I do not know if this has anything to do with this "shadow" that I have asked about but since you asked about how long I have lived here this sort of popped into my head. When we first moved into this house, for several weeks I would wake up in the middle of the night and see faces and eyes. Not when I would open my eyes but like those images you can get when trying to project or when falling asleep. They would fade if I willed them too, which I usually did because I was sleepy and did not think about exploring these until I woke up more that morning. Like I said this may not be connected or mean anything, but sort of popped into my head since you seem to be indicating that being new to this place might have something to do with it.

So is a human that hunts for sport evil? He/she is deliberately inflicting pain for no reason other than their own entertainment.

Congratulations! One important thing to remember is to remain calm. Also try to get over any fear that comes up. I know when I first started projecting I would be all excited, then when I started to leave, or when I just got out, I would get scared because everything felt so different. Emotions can be very strong on the astral, infact everything seems to be much more on the astral. So trying to remain calm is very important if you want to be able to do anything. At first you should not worry too much about doing anything. I suggest just getting use to what it feels like, as you have seen it can be rather different and overwelming. After a few times you should start to get use to the sensations, which will help you remain in control and not become afraid.

I think I see the confusion here. This is something that I find confusing at times. The words used can be somewhat misleading, especially when they are used to mean different things by different people. Tisha seems to be talking about just the forums on this site and their subdivisions. Others, like ralphm,  use the same word forums to refer to other sites' forums. Then others like Tisha use forums to refer to other parts of this site. Rather confusing.
