That was part of my meaning by 'path'. I also meant the path for helping people. If you remain silent about your talent then no one will know what you can do so you will not be able to help many people. But if you are not seeking anything for yourself then those you do help will most likely see you as being truthful. On the other hand if you are like John and become famous people will know you are there and what you can do. This may also open people's eyes to the possibility of life after physical death, something they may never have thought of before.  But you would also face some dangers such becoming entangled with all the money and fame which can hurt your spiritual growth.

Hmmm sounds interesting. I have not heard of anything like this either. So let me get this straight. Basicly, you will sense this lover come to you astrally, or mentally, you then become ... how should we put it ... still (?) and open up to his sexual thoughts. At this point you have "astral sex". I am not sure how much I could help you figure this out, but I will think on this. It is very interesting.

Let me ask you a question, Clarissa. You put this topic under Psychic Self Defense, why is that? Do you feel these occurances are unwanted on your part? Or are you afraid of what this person may do if you wish to break it off?

Also, do you know this person on the physical plane? Do you have a lot of physical contact with him?

You keep talking about this 3rd dimension, what are you refering to? When I hear 3rd dimension I think of the physical world. You seem to be seeing it as something different.

I thought i was bad at about $3500 on the credit cards. Plus I have like $15,000 for a car and then student loans at about $5,000. I feel stupid for most of the credit card debt because it was not really needed to be put on there. Oh well I guess we live and learn. I am trying to pay off everything and rarely put anything on the cards anymore, but they are still helpful sometimes. I will pay them off and then keep one for emergencies. Problem is, seems like when you get alots of debt on them they like to up the interest on them so it takes forever to pay off. I started off on both at like 9% now they are up to 18%. That is just bull if you ask me. Now I pay for things with my check card. So if I don't have the money, and it is not an emergency then I just will not be getting it. That is something that is hard to do sometimes.

I do not think that you do have to project to have "astral sex", though I do not think i see it as astral sex while you are still in the physical body. Though I do not know exactly what you are talking about as you have not been very detailed about it, I think I understand and have experienced something that is atleast similar, hard to say exactly. We have several bodies that all exist. We are just not aware of them, or most of them. If you become aware of your other bodies as well as your partner then this can enhance the sexual experience, even if you do not go to the astral realm and leave your physical body behind. This is kind of hard trying to explain it like this, but is this what you mean Clarissa?

Something that I wonder about is your lack of energy after the experience. Do you feel physically drained or like your energy has been drained, if that makes sense? I wonder if your lover is actually using you to drain your energy. Or maybe you are just expelling this energy and not mean to. You should try to store your energy as it will make you feel less tired as well as have other benifits.

Could you please try to explain what you are experiencing a little better? If you do not want to post the details publicly then PM me as I find this interesting and want to know more.

I think you are right, or your wife, in that when projecting astral sex is most likely pretty far from your mind. I have been looking at just the issue of astral sex and not the bigger picture. Standing back looking at it things look a little differently. I do not know about others but every time I have been out of body, sex does not enter my mind, hence why I have not had it except in a lucid dream state. A point I start to hit on in my other post is the intent of your astral sex. From the other posts it sounds like the concern is of the projector going to the astral most of the time for a sexual experience. Now you can have your own opinion but it would really not be good for someone to do this. Such a thing would go beyond marital issues of right and wrong and more into personality and addiction issues, I would think. It would be no different than someone going out every night just to "get laid". But the bigger problem is that someone with these emotions and intent would not be moving to higher astral realms but to the lower ones where others of such addictions go. This would create a blinding cycle that would keep one from advancing. Frank has posted about witnessing such cycles in his travels, where people get caught up in one thing and continue "living" through it again and again because they will not look past it and see the truth. So one that is like this does present a call for concern.

On the brighter side, those that do not get caught up in the act of sex but experience the higher plane act can find this a very rewarding experience. Try to understand that astral sex is not like physical sex. If you are in form in the astral it can appear as such, but feel different. The astral is less dense, more energy like, and more emotional. Sex on the astral plane will be as such too. It will be more like sharing energy, more emotional, and less "physical" (not sure of a good word to use here). So astral sex with your spouse can be a very constructive, very bonding experience. Astral sex with someone you care a great deal about will be very rewarding. If you just walked up to someone and have sex with him or her, though the experience might be pretty darn good, it could never be as good as with someone you share a deep emotional bond. This is pretty much truth on any plane. So regardless of right, wrong, or ethics, why do it with just anyone when it can be so constructive and fulfilling with someone you love?

I do see your point Patty. But don't you think John has to eat too? Why not make money with the talent that he has. At the same time, why not reach millions of people and try to make them aware of the possibility of life after physical death. But getting tied up in money is a dangerous situation to put yourself into. There is nothing wrong with making money, but when it because something that you love, that is a problem. If I had the ability I could not charge people for my services. I just feel like it would be wrong for me to do. But that does not mean it is totally wrong. It might say something about the person's character, but it does not mean they are a fake. But when someone asks for money for the service it does make it seem like they have a different motive than to help people, making the talent seem questionable. Those that do things for free seem much more ligit to me. There very well could be lots of people out there talking to the "dead" right now. But we will never know it because they are not looking for attention, fame, or money. So which path is right?

Actually I think the original question was just if anyone had any experience with astral sex and had nothing to do with right, wrong, being allowed, or any kind of ethics or morality. So let me concede so we do not let this issue of right or wrong take this topic somewhere nasty. Believe what you wish to believe.

As for experience I have not had astral sex when I have projected. I have had a few rather conscious dreams in which what I would call astral sex took place. Astral sex is much different than physical sex in that it is much more meaningful. Real might be a good word to use though I do not think one would understand that has not experienced it.  It also feels more like energy sharing that physical sex. After all in the astral we do not have physical bodies so how would you have physical sex?

If I were married, I would not want my wife having sex with another man on the physical plane. As for on the astral, I have sat here and tried to come up with an honest answer. The answer seems to keep being that it would not bother me, depending on the situation. Now maybe if I were married I would feel differently I am not sure, but because of my current emotional state my answer seems to be that it would not bother me as long as it did not effect our relationship. Actually what is throwing my sense of reasoning off right now is the idea of having a mate that would astral project. The idea has not really occured to me, probably because I rarely meet anyone in real life that is knowledgable about such ideas. Maybe after it has sunk in I can better answer the question, though with this thought I cannot seem to dwell on the question but keep thinking of the possibilities of astral traveling with someone.

I agree with you that verses have been used out of context a lot and can be damaging to their original intent. Now I have not studied the Christian Bible in many years, so if I am wrong forgive me, but this seems very clear and straight forward. But then again it may not be. The intent could well have been that this applies after death. But then again astral projection does not seem to be common knowledge or practice to the average person during this time. In all honesty I do not want to use Jesus or the Christian Bible to back up my beliefs. I was merely using the verse to show that marriage on the physical plane does not continue into the next. This is not saying that love does not continue on, because I think that if we continue on then our love for others certainly will too. Likewise if your loved one does not feel that astral sex with another is right, then if you do love her/him you would not do it. But what if your loved one does not think that astral project and such is real? Then in their eyes is it cheating? If it is not to them then should you not do it?

I think what we should look at when saying if this is right or wrong would be to see the intent. Is it done out of lust or love? One can lead to problems while the other can be constructive.

Do you know how he came up with these ideas? Are they founded on anything or just something he came up with one day?

Yes I am sure you are right. It is TV so I am sure that it is edited to make things look better than they are. Of coarse I have never talked to the dead so I do not know how difficult such communication is.

Interesting topic. I think it really depends on whether you feel it is wrong or not to have astral sex if you are married. If you think it is wrong then it is wrong to you, but if you do not feel it is wrong then it is not wrong. Jesus said that there is no marriage in heaven. To me this clearly says that marriage is limited to the physical plane. "Til death do we part" also clearly shows that marriage is not extended to other realms. So to me astral sex is fine reguardless of physical plane status. As long as you fullfill your physical plane commitments then all should be fine. The astral is limitless, so why limit yourself when you are there?

I have only seen the show a few times, but I do not think that he always gets things wrong. I think that many times the people present are just not aware of the info that he is receiving. Think about it, do you know everything that happens to your relatives? I have seen others that seem to get info wrong, and when they do the quickly jump to the next thing. But John seems to dwell on the issue, like someone is actually trying to get something across to him. If he is a fake and does not have any idea that something would be truth for them then why would he continue to dwell on an issue? Whether he is actually talking to the dead or just using telepathy is a good question. But to me if it is possible for him to take the info out of their minds, then it is just as possible for him to talk to the dead.

ACK! Testicle chopping and rape. That does not sound like a pleasant experience. Hmm I have never been raped in a dream before, just out of curiousity what is it like?

I rarely remember any of my dreams, 2 or 3 a month if I am lucky. Those that I do remember have not been nightmares. I would say that I have not had a nightmare, except the one I am about to talk about, since I was very young. I might have dreams that are odd, weird, or dark but I do not find them scary or fearful so I do not call them nightmares. I enjoy my dreams which may be why I do not have nightmares. I just enjoy the experience even if it is something that others would probably consider a nightmare, but since I am lacking fear it is not one.

Anyway, about 2 or 3 years ago is the last time I recall a nightmare. It was in the evening and I laid down to try and project. I fell asleep and had some pretty lucid dreams. The first is difficult to explain and not really a nightmare so I will skip it. But right after it I had this one. This is kind of hard to explain because it involves a lot of "dream or astral skills" such as telepathy and such. Anyway this old man, or what looked like one, came up to me and started "telling" me about this event, or rather it was like something that he had done and wanted to confess to. He did not actually even speak any words but instead he showed me what had happened. He was a young boy, not sure about age but I am guessing 5-10 years old, when this took place. There was another boy and he wanted to play with this person. Something involving a ball. The details are a little fuzzy now. Something happened that really upset this person, I am not sure if he lost the game or what but it was nothing to get very upset about I know that. Anyway I felt his emotions and his anger kept building and building very quickly. He suddenly grabbed a ball like object, it was of some heavy, dense material. Then he started hitting the other boy with it on the head. As he was hitting him his rage kept building. Well clearly he killed the boy but he still kept hitting him. I then woke up. I am not sure if this was just a dream or if it was more, because it sort of felt like it was more than just a dream but I will not jump to conclusions. It just felt like this man wanted me to know what happened. I am not sure if he was asking for forgiveness, if maybe he just wanted to tell someone or what.

Now this was not exactly a nightmare in the scary, fearful sense. I classify this as a nightmare because of the negativity in it. I actually felt his emotions. They were SO strong it was unbelievable. I felt his anger and uncontrolable rage. It made me fell so dirty. I felt dirty, like this negative energy was clinging to me, for several days after this occured.

I have read a few of the articles and I am enjoying them. I do not think everyone should be so critical of them. You should question them, but do not let that hurt your ability to read it and take any lessons from it that will be good and useful. This spirit even admits that it is not perfect and that what it is saying is just things that it has learned. So take these things as you would from any of us here that are just posting. I do agree though that this spirit does not seem to be very enlightened. A few times I am wondering how true what is said is and how much is just its beliefs. An example is in one of the articles some one asked another spirit how guides come to certain people and it answers that it does not know because it never really thought about it. Then Silver Birch answers that guides are assigned by a higher being. If this was true I would think that the other spirit would know if someone told it to do something or not. So I wonder if Silver Birch did not just make an assumption about what happens. If so what else has it made an assumption about. Also many times Silver Birch quotes the Christain bible. Though it does refer to it as your bible and not The Bible, I am wondering if this spirit is influenced by Christain beliefs or if it is just using the quotes because it knows those present will understand them.

I will continue reading the articles, but I will not take them as absolute truth. I take no writings as absolute truth. But this does not mean these writings do not hold some lessons and insight.

I do not believe that anyone is put in a hell for eternity for any reason. You create your own "hells". If someone kills themself because they are very depressed and have left hope then they will find themself in such a place. In a way I think you are right, weagle, about them having to live things over and over again. I think that they will be in a place that forces them to deal with these things that they killed themself over, not the events but the emotions. They will have to deal with depression and get over it before they can move on. If you wanted to help the person you would have to go to this place and be engulfed by depression or whatever inorder to help them. If you felt you could handle this then it would not be a problem for you.

What is real? To me OBE and astral projection are real because I have experiened them. I was actually somewhere experiencing something. It really does not matter if I was actually on another plane or if it was all just in my physical mind. I was still experiencing something so it was real. Truth now is another thing. What is the truth of OBE and astral projections? This question is a little harder to answer. But as far as reality, to me if I experience it is reality. The physical is not the only reality. When we are young we are told that our dreams are not real. As we grow it seems that everything teaches us that the physical is all that is real. I think this is sad as it makes things that we cannot touch or see seem less important. I feel that dreams, whether they are taking place on another plane or are just electrical impulses, are still very important, hold a lot of value, and are real because we experience them.  Some of you are looking for proof that projecting is real. But does it matter if you can find a connection between being out of body and the physical? I urge you to not let the physical limit you in your travels. When you are out of body, are you not experiencing something? Are you not somewhere?

This is getting off the original topic, but I do need to say something here. I respect your opinion astralc, but I do not share it. I strongly feel that people have a right to own a gun if they wish to do so. I strongly feel that people kill people, not guns. People were killing others long before guns were thought of. All that laws restricting guns do is keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens. Criminals will get a gun if they want to reguardless of the law which he cares nothing about. So if just criminals have guns then the citizens are lacking in personal defense. Is this a good idea? If someone has broken into your house I do not think they are going to wait around for the police to show up before they shoot you, rape your wife, do god knows what with your children and then take your valuables. Lets look at the event that you presented. If the people at this tourist centre had guns, then as soon as this lunatic started shooting the other people could have took him out before he had killed more than a few people.

I really cannot answer your question, but I do think that whatever happens to them would depend on their state of mind. If a person felt that the only way out of a situation that was very harmful to them, such as abuse by a guardian, then they may not be too bad off as their state of mind could be positive that there are better things on the other side and they are going to seek them. But if someone is very depressed with little or no hope then they may not find much happiness on another plane as they are most likely drawn to the lower levels. But I do think that these people can be helped and move to higher planes. Of coarse these are just ideas. I really cannot say for sure.

On these forums you will find a mix of ideas as well. Most people here are positive and try to respect each other. I think that the majority of people here believe that we actually leave our bodies in some form when we project. I do not agree with everything that Robert Bruce says, but I have a lot of respect for him for finding his answers on his own and not just accepting what someone else has said. I believe that everything he says is true to him based on his perception of his experiences.

Sounds like you were seeing your other bodies. Though I have not experienced this I have read that this is not uncommon.

I use energy for sex, or I use sex for energy. Let me explain. I first learned about energy work a few years ago when I bought a book about taoist sex practices. This opened my mind to this world of energy. Basicly I will move sexual energy around my body. This improves the sexual sensations from being localized to being full body. This also allows the experience to last longer and be much more enjoyable and bonding. I will take this energy and try to store as much as I can. This makes me feel much more aware and less tired. So I guess I am using energy for my overall health, though I have not really done any healing, but by having more energy I am more healthy and feel better.

Many gods, one god, no god? These questions are hard to find an answer to until we answer one question, What is a god? Until we define what a god is, then how can we really say if there is one, many, or any at all. Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary defines god as:

According to the first definition it seems that there would be only one god, infinite Mind. Can there be more than one infinite mind? To me infinite mind means an overall consciousness, a oneness of all.

According to the other definitions there are many gods. Infact by definition 4, there are many gods among us today. Maybe this is why there are so many gods and religions. These gods were just powerful rulers, who became more powerful as their stories were pasted down through generations until they were no longer seen as rulers of just people and nations but of the universe.

There seems to be no clear defintion of god. When one says god another may be thinking something totally different, not just about names, but of totally different "powers" and place in the universe. So how can anyone make a generalized judgement without a clear definition. Will there ever be a clear definition?

What is a god?

From what I have read it seems that when one dies and have fully left the body for the last time a few things can happen. You may meet angels, guides, or relatives to greet you and see you to "the other side". This doorway to another plane is usually seen as a portal of light. Not all may see anyone else. They may just go through this portal. It would seem that going to another plane is somewhat optional for awhile anyway. So if someone does not try to move beyond the physical plane they may very well stay around, but for how long I cannot say. But yes everyone can reach higher realms if they try.

I assume from what you have written you are asking what happens to someone who dies suddenly and unexpectedly. I think Sixth Sense is a good example of this. I think that some people, especially if they die like this, may not realize they are dead or not want to accept it. They may hang around awhile becoming rather confused until they do realize they have died and finally move on. They may also go to an area on the astral that is just like their physical life and continue living as if nothing happened, again either not realizing they died or most likely not wanting to accept the fact.
